Chapter 958, God War

How did Victor know for sure he was facing a true god?

Of course, it was through direct experience, the most direct feeling.

He recognized Gu Hang’s identity; he knew he was the leader of the Alliance and a true master of psychic powers.

But that was all he knew.

Even the most powerful psychic masters have their limits.

Victor, wielding the divine sword, dared to face even a god, so how much more so a psychic?

Even though the power displayed was terrifying, causing even the sword in his hand to tremble slightly, he swung his sword without fear.

Just as he had determined before, with a true god before him, he would fight with all his might!

Furthermore, he still didn’t believe a true god could just come to Comoros.

The gap between the warp and the veil of reality was a fragile zone, unable to support such a powerful being.

As he swung his sword, a desperate hum echoed from deep within the blade of the Comoros divine sword.

That was the dying wail of an eldar god, locked within this ultimate artifact, lost in silence for eternity.

Space, fragile as paper before the awakened will of the sword

, shimmered in tiny cracks in the air before Viktor.

Where the blade pointed, space crumbled, the magnificent arcades of forged alloy silently disintegrating, shattering like glass. A shadowy vortex of boundless resentment surged from the blade’s edge!

As Viktor, the co-leader of the Dark Eldar, raised the sword high above his head, the incorporeal blade’s radiant light erupted, slashing directly towards the crucial anchor point to the real universe—the Gateway Tower at the heart of Queen Rose Harbor.

He cared nothing for strategy or tactics, nor for the price he would pay after swinging this sword. He sought only to destroy this node, to completely sever the throat of humanity’s reinforcements.

This was the Dark Eldar’s final, desperate gamble!

However, before the destructive sword light, capable of swallowing even stars, reached the Jieying Building, a figure silently descended before its glare.

Gu Hang merely raised one arm, his fingers clenched in a hollow fist. Without radiance or roar, the chaotic abyss unleashed by the divine sword, capable of annihilating the laws of the material universe, was like colliding with an invisible barrier. The

space-tearing scream instantly turned into a muffled whimper, as the abyssal stream of light was forcibly compressed and condensed.

In an instant, a dazzling river of energy, flowing with stardust and galaxies, was “cupped” in Gu Hang’s palm. No longer slicing through space with reckless abandon, it flowed gently between his fingers like a silk ribbon.

He even lowered his head to examine the magnificent river of light, transformed by the ultimate destructive force of the Como Sword, his face expressionless, his calm so calm that it sent a chilling pain through Victor’s very soul.

Victor’s pride wouldn’t let him retreat. As if sensing its wielder’s resolve, the starlight-devouring black gem embedded in the hilt suddenly lit up with countless runes of rane.

A single touch of these runes would wipe out any mortal life from existence.

Countless such runes, transformed into dimensional thorns, piercing the very notion of space, ignoring Gu Hang’s raised arm and the galaxy flowing in his palm, piercing directly into Gu Hang’s seemingly ordinary human form.

However, Victor’s attack still failed to achieve the desired effect.

When the blade’s force touched Gu Hang’s plain black garment, it caused no dissolution or disintegration, as if plunged into a pool of absolute stillness, stirring not a ripple. Even the dark cursed light emanating from the sword seemed frozen in an invisible circle around Gu Hang.

At this point, could Victor still not realize what he was facing?

These two strikes would have shattered even the most supreme God-Demon, or even some lesser God of the Warp. Not only would they have perished instantly, but they would have at least sustained severe injuries, forcing them to depart in disgrace.

But seeing Gu Hang’s completely unaffected appearance…

Was this the God he was going to slay?

In those arrogant nights, he’d fantasized that unless Slaanesh himself arrived, no one in Comoro could withstand the sword of Como he wielded.

And now, Gu Hang had so easily shattered his fantasy.

Or perhaps, had Gu Hang already reached that level?

How could that be possible?

Within the Warp, a cold sun sat upon a golden throne. How could humanity, a race resembling primitive monkeys, possibly give rise to another being of its caliber?

He didn’t believe it.

Or rather, whether he believed it or not, he had no choice now.

After two strikes, the sword of Como had nearly drained Viktor dry. Another blow would have put Viktor’s life in danger.

Yet, he remained determined to strike again!

But before he could prepare a new strike, Gu Hang, who had been so distant one moment, was now within reach!

Though Gu Hang, approaching, was only the size of an ordinary human, even shorter than the average Dark Eldar, Victor sensed an indescribable, immense presence, crashing down upon him. Before

Victor could even react, Gu Hang’s hand had pierced his immense psychic shield and clawed directly at his right hand, which was gripping the hilt of his sword.

An icy, irresistible force instantly clamped down on Victor’s wrist.

The chill of death suddenly froze him!

Not only was his body paralyzed, but even his consciousness and thoughts slowed to a crawl.

The even greater change came from the sword in his hand.

Gu Hang had never considered Victor a threat. Was Victor’s direct combat power perhaps comparable to that of the Bone Crusher?

In short, even if he was stronger, he wasn’t even on the same level.

Yet, those two strikes were truly formidable.

Any chosen champion, or even a Warp-level Great Demon, would be reduced to ashes by that strike; even a Son of God, or even the most supreme God-Exalted Great Demon, would be unable to withstand two blows, and suffering severe injuries and near-death was commonplace.

Who had the bad luck to encounter Gu Hang?

However, Gu Hang’s time was limited.

Every moment he was away from the Storm God Kingdom, every second he wasn’t at the helm of the Alliance, came at a price—the price was the Alliance.

The risk of Chaos corruption multiplied a hundredfold the moment he left. In just a few moments, perhaps hundreds of Alliance officials had their souls planted with seeds waiting to sprout. They might resist corruption through their own willpower, but they might also be driven down a path of no return by desire, a thirst for achievement, a craving for health, a thirst for knowledge… any number of factors.

Deep within the Alliance’s heartland, at the bottom of those hive worlds, many lunatics might be awakening right now. Perhaps they’ve grasped an idea and resolved to accomplish something significant. In a decade or even decades, that hive might face a cult burgeoning in secret…

In short, Gu Hang had to return quickly.

But before that, the problem of Victor and the sword in his hand had to be resolved.

Gu Hang wasted no time, psychically probing the Como Excalibur.

His exploration was brutal.

The Como Excalibur let out a celestial wail! The blade surged violently like boiling black flames, and the faces of countless dying beings flashed before Gu Hang’s eyes.

Even with Gu Hang’s abilities, he was momentarily stunned.

When he finally realized what was happening, he realized that the blade itself was the body of a fallen Eldar god from ancient times, its final will still lingering within.

At this moment, this will was fully activated and ignited. It

seemed to carry the dark side of the entire universe: deep sorrow, mad despair, eternal curse… the ultimate distillation of all the negative divine qualities.

This was the true nature of the Como Excalibur—the ultimate vessel for the final, desperate will of the fallen Eldar god!

An ancient, inhuman torrent of will, reminiscent of the wails of billions, slammed into Gu Hang!

Como’s final remnant of soul had struck back!

The calm that had blurred Gu Hang’s existence was instantly shattered.

Around his outstretched arm, which grasped Victor’s wrist, the space peeled away like a shattered mirror, revealing the seething void beneath. The edges of his figure began to ripple, like ripples on water, as if his very being were faintly vibrating!

The terrifying locking force on Victor’s wrist instantly dissipated, and his frozen mind and body regained their composure. This wasn’t his own power; it wasn’t so much that he was controlling the sword as it was that the sword was controlling his shattered body.

He opened his mouth, as if to roar, but no sound came out. The opening created by the burning of the sword’s original will allowed him to grip the hilt with both hands, and he thrust the black-flaming sword, carrying the last hope and curse of his race, fiercely into Gu Hang’s chest! The

black-flaming blade, wrapped in the curse of fallen gods, the wailing of billions of Eldar souls, and Victor’s own mad, all-consuming will, pierced Gu Hang’s heart with pinpoint accuracy and without the slightest deviation!

There was no sound; at the moment the sword tips touched, time seemed to freeze.

The next moment, energy powerful enough to shatter a star system erupted from the sword’s tip! It was a pure outpouring of law, the embodiment of the Eldar god’s ultimate curse against those who disobey!

The void shattered like glass shattered by a mighty hammer, spiderwebs of dark cracks spreading wildly, devouring all light and matter around it. The nearest alloy frame, fragile as paper before this force, instantly warped, melted, and vaporized.

Even more terrifying, the barrier between the veils was completely ripped open!

The veils were fragile, unable to withstand such a massive explosion.

The ripped veil revealed the starry sea of the real universe on one side, and the bizarre and hostile Warp on the other!

Though it was only a crack, instantly, a pair of eyes, most interested in Comoros, glanced over.

A lewd laugh echoed, a thrill of excitement.

Comoros, hidden for so long, was finally being found.

Without a doubt, if this crack wasn’t repaired immediately, Comoros was doomed. It wouldn’t take Slaanesh’s demonic forces a matter of breaths to arrive here, bearing the will of the evil god, widening the rift and dragging every Dark Eldar back to the Demonic Palace to enjoy an ‘eternal dream’.

However, Victor no longer cared.

It was even hard to say how much of his will remained. The despair represented by Como was the most insane emotion, a curse that recklessly ignored all consequences.

Como’s sword struck with all its might, a destructive storm of black flames that washed over Gu Hang’s figure, determined to annihilate him!

At that moment, a faint but undeniable flash of lightning exploded from the core of the black flames.

The flow of time suddenly became chaotic in the lightning.

Victor’s remaining consciousness was horrified to discover that his sword, which had clearly pierced its target, was being reversed and disintegrated at the very tip by the lightning of the law!

The cursed black flames rising from the sword’s tip weren’t extinguished, but instead retracted like a video played in reverse.

The divine sword’s physical structure was forcibly reduced to the countless particles of precious materials from which it was crafted, and then, at a more microscopic level, was broken down into its most fundamental energy and information flows!

This reverse disintegration, ignoring the divine sword’s own resistance, rapidly spread upward along its hilt!

The divine sword controlled Victor’s body, pulling itself out, but it was unable to pull itself free. A tremendous force “glued” the Como divine sword to Gu Hang’s heart.

The Como divine sword let out an unprecedented wail!

Como’s core consciousness struggled in its last

moments. Just as the lightning was about to penetrate the core of the sword’s hilt, the viscous shadow essence, the essence of the despair that condensed the entire Eldar race’s final despair, suddenly contracted. Deep within the blade, the mad shadow of the fallen spirit god, ignited, and after being continuously suppressed, entered a complete and ultimate rampage.

It abandoned its attack on Gu Hang and instead madly collapsed inward, all its power capable of devouring reality—intending to pull the entire sword, along with the remaining will within it, into a mutually annihilating self-destruction!

At this moment, Gu Hang’s left hand finally reached out, his slender, steady fingers lightly pressing against the last remnant of Como’s sword’s hilt.

Victor’s final fragments of will clung to it like a candle in the wind, along with the final will of the god Como.

In an instant, the vast and majestic shadow of the Storm Kingdom descended upon the hilt. Though tiny, it was a direct manifestation of the kingdom’s core. The radiance of countless Thunder Torches stretched out like a star chain, stretching across it.

The remnant of the sword, nearing the end of its self-destruction, suddenly stopped its inward collapse.

The divine will seething and roaring within the core of the sword was instantly pierced, bound, and dragged away. The sticky shadow essence, imbued with the Eldar god’s final despair and might, was forcibly ripped from the sword like a ripped spinal cord, transforming into a torrent of foul black energy. It was forcibly drawn from the sword and swallowed into the tallest thunder tower in the divine kingdom.

Without support, the Como sword completely ceased its self-destruction. There was no explosion, no energy release. The remaining hilt and blade, stripped of all their extraordinary power, rapidly carbonized and disintegrated into the most basic inorganic ash, like dried bones for eons, drifting away in the wind.

And Victor, the Dark Eldar leader who once ruled Comoros, had long since been completely drained of his energy by the divine sword, sacrificed and vanished without a trace, with his final will shattered.

Gu Hang’s right hand now touched the rapidly expanding void rift on the other side.

An invisible force smoothed the rift, forcibly channeling the seething, escaping Warp energy back into space, dimming the starlight of the real universe.

The originally lewd laughter suddenly turned into a vicious curse.
