Chapter 934: Please come to Comoros as a guest

. A vast army of Dark Elfs appeared in the Warp.

While not as large as the Terran Expedition assembled by Robert, for the Dark Eldar, this force was a comparable force, even if it wasn’t the full strength of the race.

In terms of numbers, it was certainly far from a full-scale expedition,

and they couldn’t do it.

To fight in the Warp, the Dark Eldar needed to utilize a unique technology that consumed enormous amounts of energy to shield the souls of all Eldar members, effectively concealing themselves from Slaanesh.

The energy consumption was enormous, and the Dark Eldar used their most valuable resources, countless compressed energy crystals, to power this shielding system, but the number of people they could shield was still limited.

This meant that while they had a considerable number of manpower available, they couldn’t afford to waste any, let alone bring along a large number of cannon fodder.

Their appearance on the Warp battlefield coincided with a Daemon army’s sudden attack on the Terran Expedition.

The Dark Eldar didn’t rush into the battlefield. Their fleet spread out in all directions, forming a unique formation that encircled the entire battlefield.

Front, back, left, right, up, and down… In this three-dimensional space, the Dark Eldar fleet’s encirclement was bound to be impossible to achieve.

Even if they achieved a blockade, it would be fragile. As long as the demons and humans on the battlefield were victorious—and it looked like the Terran Expeditionary Force would be victorious—they would attempt to break out, and the Dark Elf encirclement would be meaningless, shattered in a single blow.

The Dark Elf’s sudden appearance at the edge of the battlefield was, of course, also detected by the human fleet. However, observing their strange movements, Robert could see that the enemy’s blockade was meaningless and could not effectively contain them.

However, he also knew that these Dark Elves, who had risked so much to enter the Warp, were definitely not here for sightseeing.

He was wary of these Dark Elves, but since their actions would not affect the human fleet for the time being, he decided to ignore them. A higher priority was to deal with the daemons currently engaged in a tangle of battles.

In the Warp, daemons didn’t even need warships. They swarmed, transforming from invisible to visible, attacking every ship with abandon. In such a battle, massive cannons wouldn’t be very effective, unless they could lock onto a powerful daemon and deliver a devastating blow. Generally speaking, against large numbers of daemons, powerful single-shot naval cannons, whether macrocannons or lances, were ineffective.

Missiles, on the other hand, were more effective.

However, during their long Warp voyage, they had experienced numerous battles, and their ammunition consumption was high. Even with the Mechanicus’s mecha-arks and smaller engineering vessels within the fleet, and the various machine workshops capable of reproducing, raw materials were still a problem. Even with numerous transport ships carrying materials, they could only rely on scrap metal salvaged from the battlefields after the battle to recycle them. This replenishment method was far too limited.

Overall, all material reserves were at a critical level.

They had no choice but to squeeze as many enemies as possible into the interior of the ships, relying on the Space Marines and mortal soldiers within to engage these demons in brutal, flesh-and-blood combat.

But this also took its toll.

The ammunition used by the soldiers was also lost, as were the casualties. The battle took place inside the ships, and the damage required to repair them also consumed resources.

Honestly, if it weren’t for Robert, the Son of God, the human expeditionary force would have been doomed long ago.

Among the many Sons of God ten thousand years ago, Robert wasn’t renowned for his military prowess, or even for his military leadership.

He was a “civilian,” his greatest fame stemming from his strategic prowess and political and economic management abilities.

Even so, compared to Gu Hang’s “Little Primarch,” Martins, their combat prowess was probably comparable: 64-60—Robert’s 6. In terms of battle command, 82-80, Robert’s 8. In terms of strategic and political and economic leadership, 100-100—Robert’s 10.

Robert was superior across the board, surpassing Martins in even his weaknesses, not to mention his strengths.

Unfortunately, Robert’s strongest political and economic leadership skills weren’t utilized here, but his management skills were still quite useful.

Without such exceptional leadership, how could he have not only maintained the fleet’s existence and maintained the high morale of his soldiers, warriors, and sailors throughout the arduous, dark years of the Warp’s voyage?

His above-average battle command ability, compared to all the Sons of God, enabled him to achieve victory in nearly every battle while minimizing losses and maintaining the fleet’s long-term operations.

The same principle held true for the current battle.

Defeating the invading demons wasn’t difficult, but inflicting the least losses.

This required Robert’s meticulous management.

What was different this time was that he couldn’t completely ignore the dark elves, who were doing their inexplicable work nearby.

Having allocated some of his forces to monitor them, Robert, instinctively feeling a sense of unease, decided to expend a little more energy this time to expedite the elimination of the demonic enemies.

Otherwise, it was hard to predict what would happen next.

Soon, someone arrived to report the dark elves’ actions.

It was Gu Jing

, the son of the alliance leader, a master of psychic powers, and the chief think tank of the Infinite Legion, Theriault.

“Those dark elves are using a special power to slice through this entire warp. They’re trying to pull us closer to the real universe.”

“Are they going to expel us from the warp? Make us lost?” Robert pressed.

Gu Jing said with a serious expression, “I’m afraid it’s more than that. They’re going to cut us into the veil between the warp and the real universe. That’s where their lair, Comoros, is located.”

“Behind the veil, the efficiency of both warp engines and conventional engines will be greatly reduced. They’re inviting us to ‘be their guests,’ and once we’re there, it’ll be difficult to get out.”
