Chapter 460: I was expelled from the Brave Team and became a true hero

Not only the female archer, but even Lance, who had known Jiang Li for half a day, couldn’t understand what he was talking about.

What plans for the immortal realm, what about world destruction? What did all that even mean?

This was too far-fetched for Lance and the female archer, and Jiang Li didn’t bother explaining it.

“The plan remains unchanged. First, collect all four pieces of equipment, then go to the Demon King’s City.”

Clearing the dungeon was effortless for Jiang Li. He encountered slimes of various colors, skeleton soldiers wearing worn armor and wielding battered machetes, a minotaur named Minos, a Cyclops, and so on.

“Species diversity is indeed evident,” Jiang Li observed these novel creatures with great interest.

These monsters didn’t exist in the immortal realm described by Immortal Changcun, indicating that these demons weren’t strong enough to ascend to the immortal realm; they were unique to this world.

“Translucent in form, with no thoughts, only the most basic feeding reflexes, slimes resemble paramecium magnified countless times.”

“The skeleton soldiers aren’t skeletons transformed into spirits, but rather small insects with a collective will, hollowing out bones, hiding within, and controlling their bodies.”

“The Minotaur and the Cyclops appear to be hybrids of demon and human. Their bloodlines vaguely reveal traces of human blood. Strictly speaking, these two belong to the demon race. They can’t develop intelligence unless they reach the Spiritual Transformation Stage, or what Ella calls Level Five.” Along

the way, Jiang Li also saved many unsuspecting adventurers.

The deeper they went, the fewer demons there were, and the strength of their individuals began to increase exponentially.

However, this change had little impact on Jiang Li; he could resolve any issue with a single thought.

Finally, Jiang Li led Lance and the female archer to the lowest level.

“Guarding the final underground level is a golem created by the Demon King himself. Its power is legendary, and countless have perished beneath its colossal maw. To date, no adventurer has ever emerged unscathed.”

“I never expected to make it this far on my first foray into the dungeon,” the female archer exclaimed, all thanks to the master who had walked ahead.

Lance felt strange. It wasn’t so much “breaking in” as “strolling.” The perilous dungeon felt like home to this master. Lance

estimated that if he and his original team of brave warriors had braved the dungeon, ensuring they reached the final level without incident, it would have taken ten to fifteen days.

However, following Master Jiang Li, it took only an hour.

The time it took the master to reach the final dungeon level depended not on the number of demons but on his speed.

The master had made it this far without even getting his clothes soiled.

Jiang Li pushed open the door and was greeted by a legendary stone statue. It towered, over ten meters tall, constructed from a mixture of clay and bronze, covered in moss. Countless skeletons lay around it, presumably the remains of adventurers who had stumbled upon it and been slain by the statue.

“Is this a legendary?” Jiang Li was somewhat disappointed. The terrifying stone statue rumored outside seemed to him to be barely on the brink of the Fusion Stage.

“Too weak.” With a single thought, Jiang Li disintegrated the statue and retrieved the Brave Sword hidden within.

The Brave Sword shone like cast gold.

Jiang Li flicked it with his fingertips, and the sword emitted a trembling, metallic hum.

“Not bad,” Jiang Li swung it gently, afraid to use too much force for fear of breaking it.

He recalled the legend of the Brave Sword’s ability to sever anything, and used the tip of the blade to cut his nails.

As expected, the Brave Sword couldn’t even cut Jiang Li’s nails.

“Here you go,” Jiang Li tossed the Brave Sword to Lance.

This sword was so weak that Jiang Li felt it took up too much space in his storage ring. Leaving the legendary sword there felt awkward, so he decided to give it to Lance.

Lance’s heart trembled as he grasped the Brave Sword.

The Brave Sword was a symbol of bravery, and he hadn’t expected it to end up in his own hands.

What took up space for Jiang Li was a godsend to Lance and the female archer.

Lance felt like today was a dream: kicked out of the Brave Squad in the morning, then met Jiang Li, taught Jiang Li how to cast magic and learn skills in the morning, and by noon, he’d conquered a dungeon and obtained the legendary Brave Sword.

He couldn’t believe how life had turned so swiftly, all in just half a day.

The possession of the Brave Sword meant the demons had lost control of the dungeon, and countless demons fled the dungeon, returning to their base camp.

Adventurers battling in the dungeon noticed the demons trembling and then fleeing in panic.

“Is this the sign of successfully conquering the final level—liberating the dungeon?” the adventurer exclaimed in shock.

This dungeon was different from the others. The demons on the lowest level held the Brave Sword.

“Someone has defeated the legendary stone statue and obtained the Brave Sword!”

“The prophesied Brave has appeared. Who is it?”

Everyone battling in the dungeon realized this and waited at the cave entrance, eager to see who the Brave Sword was.

Then they saw Lance holding the Brave Sword, the female archer trying to touch it, and Jiang Li, looking impassive.

Compared to Jiang Li’s strange appearance, Lance caught everyone’s attention. Just as

they were about to rush over to question Lance, they noticed the three had vanished without a trace.

“We still have half a day to conquer the remaining three dungeons.”

“By the way, do you need lunch?” Jiang Li suddenly remembered. While he was fasting and didn’t need to eat, the man and the elf did.

“No, no, no, we don’t need lunch. Please continue to lead us through the dungeons,” the man and the elf said simultaneously. “

You’re kidding! We’re about to find the remaining three legendary items. Who wants to waste time eating?”

“Then let’s hurry up. Maybe we can still make it in time for dinner after defeating the Demon King.” Jiang Li said casually and walked slowly into the dungeon.

Knowing how powerful Jiang Li was, the man and the elf didn’t think Jiang Li was joking, and hurriedly followed behind him, ready to witness history.

Or rather, they were witnessing history.

Two stone statues fell in succession, and Jiang Li threw the Brave Shield and Brave Ring he had obtained to Lance.

Jiang Li didn’t test the strength of the Brave Shield, as he was worried about turning it into a disposable item.

As for the Brave Ring, the spiritual energy contained in it could barely allow a few monks in the fusion stage to move. Jiang Li’s hair had more spiritual energy than the Brave Ring.

“Can you defeat the Demon King with these scrap metals? This Demon King can’t do it.”

Jiang Li stretched, went back to the city to buy a string of candied haws, and prepared to go to the last dungeon.

Lance wore the Brave Ring, holding a shield in his left hand and a sword in his right hand.

“I don’t have to be a magician, I can be a magic swordsman.” Lance whispered to himself.
