Chapter 822 The Second-hand Market of the Dragon Blood Gathering

Faced with the questioning of three wizards from the Fairy Family Bank, Locke frowned, unsure whether their doubts were a legitimate skepticism about his strength or an attempt to force him to sign a contract more favorable to their Fairy Family Bank.

He sought information from Team Leader Celt.

Team Leader Celt secretly warned Locke through the Water Hyacinth System to be extremely careful of the Fairy Family Bank. Although it was a bank established by the fairy race, it was ambitious, backed by many wizard shareholders, with a complex composition, and even harboring high-ranking members of the White Wizard Association.

Such a bank would do anything to expand its own interests.

It could be said that this bank was essentially a core component of capital within the White Wizard Society.

Even Golden Crown Mountain had debts owed to the Fairy Family Bank.

And fairies were inherently greedy, hence Team Leader Celt’s warning.

The good thing was that because of the restrictions imposed on them by the White Wizard Association and Golden Crown Mountain, these fairy wizards shouldn’t go too far.

Locke looked at the three goblin wizards, tapping the table of VIP room number 1 with his fingers, and said, “I remember there are five major banks in the wizarding world. If you don’t think highly of my shop alliance, perhaps other banks would be more suitable?”

He turned to leave, observing the expressions of the three goblin wizards.

The three goblin wizards were clearly surprised by Locke’s rejection; he didn’t even bother with initial pleasantries or probing before directly changing the bank they wanted to borrow from.

The second-circle goblin standing next to the stool suddenly looked flustered. It wasn’t that he lacked composure, but as an incredibly greedy goblin wizard completely parasitic on the white wizarding social system, he was utterly unable to resist the allure of capital expansion.

This second-circle goblin wizard also knew the potential of the Augustine Wizard Shoe Shop Alliance.

This wasn’t an ordinary shop alliance, but a wizard shoe IP holder with the potential to overthrow the existing wizard shoe shop alliances.

He had already investigated all of this before he arrived.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have wasted his precious time in a small private room in the witch’s kitchen of the Dragonblood Gathering at Golden Crown Mountain.

The second-ring goblin wizard’s beady eyes darted around.

Before Locke could push open the door and leave, he suddenly spoke up: “Wait a minute, Wizard Augustine. I think there’s a misunderstanding. Our goblin family bank, when lending money to ordinary wizards, naturally looks at their cash flow, savings, and the value of collateral to mitigate potential risks.”

“After all, wizards have a vast range of movement. Many wizards have disappeared into the vast void, never to return to the wizarding world.”

Locke considered this seriously.

“That is indeed a good way to escape debt.”

The second-ring goblin wizard’s face twitched, his ears trembling; clearly, he couldn’t stand these words.

The fairy wizard said in a slightly shrill voice, “If they run to such remote and desolate places, their magical pressure will only be gradually taken over by the local world. The assets they carry will be seized by that world, and the result of staying for a long time is that they will never be able to leave with those assets.”

“A wise wizard will not leave the area protected by civilization.”

“Cough cough cough… I lost my composure.”

The fairy wizard calmed down.

“Our family bank has special preferential treatment for a shop alliance with potential like yours. We can grant you a special loan without collateral or sufficient proof of cash flow, and it’s a low-interest loan.” Locke

frowned.

“A low-interest loan?”

A smile appeared on the second-ring fairy’s face.

“Yes, we can even provide interest-free loans.”

Locke frowned.

The second-ringed fairy smiled confidently and said, “No need for sufficient cash flow or collateral. We can sign a betting agreement.”

“That is, we will offer you a loan, and according to the agreement, your shop alliance needs to achieve a certain sales volume within a certain time. If you fail to do so, you will need to use all the shares of your shop alliance as collateral to compensate our fairy family bank.”

“In this way, we can directly provide your Augustus Wizard Shoes shop alliance with a 30 million magic stones interest-free loan.”

The second-ringed fairy licked her fingers with sharp nails, then held a parchment scroll contract in her hand. The contract was already open, and its length had even dragged on the ground.

Locke saw that the contract contained numerous clauses restricting his rights, as well as various complex curse spells.

Clearly, this contract was a loan agreement that the fairy family bank had refined over hundreds of years, with almost no loopholes

. Locke frowned, realizing that the fairy wizard’s initial difficulties were clearly part of a larger scheme.

The contract he truly wanted him to sign was probably this investment contract with a performance-based agreement.

The second-ringed goblin wizard could barely contain his greed; he actually had high hopes for the Augustus Wizard Shoe Shop Alliance.

“Augustine Wizard, what do you think?”

Locke stood up for the second time, ready to leave.

“I don’t think it’s a good idea. I really don’t have the patience to play math games with you here. That’s it, I’ll find another normal wizarding bank willing to lend me money.”

Locke was genuinely prepared to leave.

He had contacted the goblin family bank earlier simply because he used it frequently.

But who would have thought that a loan would be accompanied by a performance-based agreement?

If he agreed, and dared to open that door, these three beady-eyed goblin wizards would devour him alive.

Therefore, Locke made a rational judgment and prepared to leave.

At that moment, the second-ring goblin wizard suddenly looked at the contract in his hand and said, “Wait, Augustine Wizard. Please wait a moment, I think I’ve picked up the wrong contract. There’s no betting agreement. Absolutely not.”

“There’s only a low-interest loan contract; look, the total interest rate is only 10%.”

“This is definitely the lowest interest rate loan contract among the five great wizarding banks.”

Locke took the parchment scroll and examined it carefully.

Dealing with these goblin wizards required extreme caution; these guys were all opportunists, and they would do anything as long as it was legal to make money.

Locke checked the contract, confirmed there were no problems, and even sent it to the Celtic team leader for verification. He confirmed it was indeed the best contract he could get at his current stage.

Most importantly, the contract perfectly met his requirements:

no collateral

, fast remittance (approximately three days), and

a credit loan.

Of course, if he couldn’t repay, his civilization credits would be wiped out.

Once his civilization credits were depleted, many social functions built upon them would become unusable.

Essentially, there was still collateral—his own credit, and the tangible manifestation of that credit was his civilization credits!

Locke looked at the fairy wizard, his gaze falling on the name already signed on the contract.

“Manager Roller, if you were prepared from the beginning, why didn’t you just give me the contract directly?”

The fairy wizard Roller lied without batting an eye.

“I just took the wrong contract. Actually, this was the contract I wanted to take out in the first place.”

“There is no collateral.”

Clearly, in the true judgment of this second-ring fairy wizard, he believed that the Augustus Wizard Shoe Shop Alliance had a very strong repayment ability based on Locke’s past experience and cash flow.

This contract was something he absolutely had to do from the beginning.

All his previous posturing was merely a means to enhance his bargaining power.

Realizing he couldn’t fool Locke, he directly presented a pre-prepared contract with an extremely low interest rate.

According to this contract, Locke only needed to repay the principal plus interest of 33 million magic stones within a year.

According to the default rules of Yunze Wetlands, the total interest rate for loans of this size is generally between 10% and 30%.

In other words, this was indeed the lowest interest rate.

Lower interest rates would require collateral.

Locke nodded and said, “Okay. Wizard Roller, it’s a pleasure to cooperate.”

Locke signed his name.

Wizard Roller said, “As stipulated in the contract, the magic stones will be transferred to your account within one day. Hmm, it’s already been transferred.”

Locke was stunned, not expecting the fairy family bank to have such a strong cash flow, transferring 30 million magic stones to him so quickly.

Wizard Roller stood up from his seat, put on a pair of leather magic gloves, and then extended his right hand to Locke.

“Wizard Augustine, it’s a pleasure doing business with you.”

“Welcome to apply for loans from me again next time. I will definitely give you the most favorable contract in the entire industry. This is my business reputation, and this is my business card.”

Locke took his gilded business card, which read—Senior Wizard Manager of the Fairy Family Bank, Roller Gu. Schiller.

The fairy wizard Roller said, “Based on the principle of our first business transaction, I will continue to sign contracts with you according to this principle.”

Locke understood. So this guy’s business logic was to follow the logic of the first completed contract when doing business with customers.

In other words, he was different for the customer.

If he was easy to talk to on the first business transaction, then he would definitely become more demanding in the future.

But since he had confirmed the principle with him the first time, he would use the contract that would satisfy him the most.

Obviously, this fairy wizard, although very greedy, was also very shrewd.

He knew his true needs.

Locke understood his implication.

“I understand. If I have any needs in the future, I will consider cooperating with you directly.”

The fairy wizard Schiller showed a bright smile.

“It’s my pleasure to cooperate with intelligent people like you. Many wizards have serious misunderstandings about us fairies. We fairies don’t just like doing business, nor do we just love money. We also enjoy cooperating with wizards like you who are good at communication and accustomed to calculating costs.”

“And we utterly despise fools and idiots. In other words, we enjoy the pleasure of trading with wizards like you.”

“From now on, I will conduct all transactions according to this principle.”

“Alright, I have a second guest in this private room.”

Locke bumped into Wizard Alex as he walked out of private room number 1.

It turned out that the second guest of the fairy wizard Schiller was actually Wizard Alex.

Wizard Alex clearly hadn’t expected to meet Locke here again.

He greeted Locke.

At that time, Locke’s main body had been browsing around the Dragonblood Market, looking for anything he needed. He also needed to check out the secondhand market; sometimes you could find ‘treasures’ discarded from other people’s laboratories there.

Inside the secondhand market…

Locke walked along the street, where magic carpets covered the ground on both sides, upon which were displayed old objects.

First-ring and second-ring wizards had set up stalls.

Locke walked in the second-ring wizards’ section, scanning the items in front of them. Many items had clearly been handled several times, bearing numerous signs of repair.

Locke even saw a Sun Mirror, its surface patched and mended, bearing countless repair marks.

“Hmm? This is a rubbing of the Two-Cicada Spirit Macro.” Locke stopped in front of a stall, his eyes brightening.

The Two-Cicada Spirit Macro was essential for crafting the Doppelganger Potion.

Only by converting the ritual actions from this macro could the second-ring Doppelganger Potion be successfully crafted.

Locke bent down to examine the rubbing, finding it severely damaged, clearly used too many times by wizards. It could only be used barely once more, and even that might not be fully usable.

Locke looked up at the stall owner. The man was clearly not a wizard from Golden Crown Mountain, but rather an outsider who had set up a stall in this secondhand market because of the Dragonblood Gathering’s reputation.

The Dragonblood Gathering’s secondhand market was extremely famous; some customers wanted to find treasures, while others tried to pass off inferior goods as genuine.

Therefore, the rule here was: once you buy, you’re done; no further responsibility, and you accept the consequences.

This particular vendor wasn’t even wearing any badges, only a black wizard’s robe, to avoid any trouble.

“How much is this Spirit Macro rubbing?”

The ordinary second-ring wizard merchant, with a magic pressure of about 10,000, immediately spoke up, “Sir, this is the best item on my stall. It’s a Spirit Macro rubbing, and it’s even the one needed for the popular Clone Potion, so it’s worth 500,000 magic stones.”

Locke smiled and said, “This Spirit Macro rubbing can probably only be used once, or even only half a time. Normally, no one would buy it. And I don’t have any magic stones on me. Let’s exchange it for another Spirit Macro rubbing.”

Locke took out a Spirit Macro paper from his Astral Ring, on which was a copy of the Crimson Vampire Stone Spirit Macro rubbing that he had made.

Although he currently didn’t have the ability to write a Spirit Macro directly on his own, he could synthesize a Crimson Vampire Stone Spirit Macro rubbing by combining two Synthesis Cubes.

And what he had taken out was a level 9 synthesized item.

Obviously, the merchant was somewhat surprised.

“Did you write this yourself? With this skill, you must be a second-circle potion master, right? Even if not, you should be very close.”

“This Linghong rubbing is also my own work. It’s just that my students have copied it too many times, so it’s almost lost its effectiveness. That’s why I’m selling it in this secondhand market.”

The merchant glanced at the shabby Linghong rubbing in his hand and coughed.

“I won’t embarrass myself. Here, this is a newly written rubbing of the Cicada Spirit Macro, only used three or four times by my students. It’s a very suitable exchange for your Crimson Vampire Stone Spirit Macro rubbing.”

“Writing a Spirit Macro rubbing requires a great deal of energy, and as a potion master, I know this very well.”

Locke accepted the deal.

Indeed, each time one traces a Spirit Macro, it essentially consumes one’s perception of the Spirit Macro to explore the hidden true form of things.

Therefore, for Spirit Macro tracing practice, it is not necessary to write out the entire Spirit Macro, but only to select the key structures.

Once the entire Spirit Macro is traced, it is to use one’s spiritual power to support the complete exploration of the hidden true form of things.

Normally, this requires a great deal of energy from a potion master.

Obviously, the potion master in front of him empathized.

But the problem is, he was synthesized and did not expend much energy.
