Chapter 767 Leaked Tea Techniques

The Rose Witch and her entourage walked in front of the wizarding town. She wore a pink wizard’s robe, her hair in two ponytails, and a pink wizard’s hat. Beside her stood an elderly third-ring wizard with a white beard, who offered to hold a third-ring enchanted wizard’s umbrella made by the Rose Council for her.

The Rose Witch treated the umbrella as if it were a parasol.

Behind her were five students, all her personal disciples, and to her left followed a young witch—Rose Tacitus.

Today, Rose Tacitus was still wearing a black wizard’s robe that looked dangerous yet beautiful. A black demon rose adorned her shoulder, but her dress had undergone a change; it seemed to possess a natural plant-like luster.

Although it was a special material woven by a magic weaver, it had the color of plants, the fragrance of roses, and even a unique fruity aroma.

Locke paused, for as he stepped out of the house and stood on the street of the wizarding town with his fellow disciples, the sight of Rose the Witch immediately conjured up three words in his mind—’plastic flower’!

Locke quickly used the Water Gourd System to search for free articles by mainstream second-circle wizards of the Rose Council. He was now a second-circle wizard and had access to this.

He then noticed the Rose Council’s three pillar disciplines—Rose Language, Botany, and Textile Science.

Botany and Textile Science were second-level disciplines, while Rose Language was a third-level discipline, meaning it hadn’t even reached the Root Realm.

But Locke noticed a blind spot in their free literature that he had previously overlooked.

Yes, the Rose Council had developed something like the Doomsday Flower that destroyed King Otto’s Heliotos Royal Court seventy thousand years ago.

Plastic flower!

He should have realized it sooner.

Locke glanced at an article he’d found, written by a second-circle flower language master from the Rose Council, titled “Spinning Without Shuttles to Construct the Microstructure of Rose-like Magical Plants: Achieving a Flower Form That Never Fades.”

Locke said, “That’s right. The Rose Council has a large number of alchemists specializing in textiles, as well as numerous breeders and botanical wizards, plus flower language centered on flower arrangement… so using textiles to create plastic flowers, or some kind of fabricated artificial flower, is almost inevitable.”

“What could be more in line with flower language masters’ love for flowering magical plants than an artificial flower that will never change its form and doesn’t require extensive specialized breeding knowledge?”

Locke snapped out of his reverie and looked at the witch Rose. This direction was probably quite cutting-edge for the Rose Council, something they were exploring and seeing if it could be developed further.

At that moment, Locke noticed that while he was scrutinizing the witch Rose, the beautiful but dangerous-looking witch was also scrutinizing him.

Rose the Witch said to the Rose Witch beside her, “Is that my opponent, Great-Grandma?”

“He looks rather handsome,”

the Rose Witch smiled. “I suppose so. It’s the first time I’ve seen him either. Hmm, there’s a sense of familiarity.”

A thoughtful look appeared in her eyes, as if she had thought of something.

“That aura… I feel like I’ve encountered it somewhere before.”

The Rose Witch walked forward normally, but was blocked by an invisible barrier.

She immediately cleared her mind, her eyes sharpening as she looked towards the edge of the wizarding town. There, on the ground, were rows and rows of peach trees that had suddenly sprouted.

Because of these sparse peach trees, the Rose Witch and her students could not proceed.

The Rose Witch’s eyes darted around.

“Katya, this is a joyous occasion to celebrate your student becoming a second-ring wizard. We are friends, so although you didn’t invite me, I’ve come uninvited.”

“After all, you invited most of the important figures in Cloudswamp Wetlands, how could

you not invite me?” “But what is the meaning of adding me to the Peach Blossom Curse’s blacklist?”

The Rose Witch met Ekaterina Witch across the entire central street of the wizarding town. “Are we enemies?”

Ekaterina Witch sat in the central square of the wizarding town. At the long table she sat were high-ranking figures from Cloudswamp Wetlands—directors of the White Wizard Association, heads of key laboratories from various academies, or administrative leaders.

Even at the end of the table were the deans of medium-sized and large academies.

Seeing this scene, everyone’s faces showed embarrassment or curiosity.

These two had been enemies since they first met as ordinary third-ring wizards.

The two witches had often competed for projects, and now it was said that their ten-person project was in direct competition, with other key individual projects also vying for dominance.

While this competition wasn’t a life-or-death struggle, whoever lost would lose some support.

Their research had reached a point where the daily cost was astronomical—enough to terrify any ordinary wizard.

Therefore, securing the full support of the Cloudze Council was extremely important.

Catherine the Witch, facing the Rose Witch’s question, remained unfazed.

“Aren’t we enemies?”

This question immediately silenced all the high-ring and high-status wizards at the banquet, afraid to utter a single sound that might inadvertently drag them into an academic conflict.

The Director of Organization of the White Wizarding Association, a fourth-ring wizard, smiled.

The other two directors from the White Wizarding Association’s committee present also welcomed the situation.

These two directors are the Director of the Sacred Division and the Director of the Demon Hunting Division, both powerful figures in the local White Wizarding Association.

A typical wizarding territory has 9-15 directors.

The three directors present are among the most important in the White Wizarding Association.

However, Yunze Wetland’s values prioritize performance, infighting, and competition. Therefore, the three directors showed no intention of mediating the minor conflict between the two chief wizarding instructors from top-tier wizarding academies.

On the contrary, the more intense the competition, the better.

The White Wizarding Association’s finances are limited; much of Yunze Wetland’s revenue is directly handed over to the Star Domain Sea, managed by the Eastern Boundary-level White Wizarding Association. Therefore, they cannot simultaneously provide full support to two throne wizards aspiring to fourth-circle wizarding positions.

They can only choose one based on merit.

Of course, the other cannot be completely abandoned, as the departure of a throne wizard would be a significant loss to the wizarding territory.

The Throne Wizard embodies wisdom and power, bearing numerous responsibilities; their departure would have far-reaching consequences.

At the Throne Wizard’s level, their actions would no longer be considered personal, but rather the actions of an entire lineage!

Therefore, the White Wizarding Association would still support the losing contender for the Throne, though not with the same full commitment.

At this moment, the Rose Witch outside the wizarding town frowned, clearly not expecting that the Catherine Witch would dare to publicly admit they were enemies, leaving no room for pretense.

The next moment, the witch Catherine said, “I was just joking, Anna. Others may not know, but I know perfectly well. You and I have always been best friends, now, before, and in the future.”

The Rose Witch snorted coldly, “Then remove the Peach Blossom Curse!”

The witch Catherine said, “No. The Peach Blossom Curse is a protective magic array of Mount Golden Crown, passed down for thousands of years.”

“The Peach Blossom Curse can prevent annoying wizards from getting close. So I can’t remove it.”

A cold glint flashed in the Rose Witch’s eyes, and instantly, a rain of rose petals fell from the sky above the wizarding town.

The Rose Witch’s delicate hands moved as if she were planting cuttings, and the rain of rose petals in the sky flowed rhythmically.

Locke looked up and felt that the rose rain summoned by the Rose Witch, a third-ring wizard specializing in textiles and botany, seemed extraordinary. The direction of the flowing petals alone seemed to be stitch by stitch.

‘It’s very much like the new textile science,’

Locke suddenly realized.

‘That’s right, the two textile sciences have only recently separated. There is already a lot of overlap. As a third-ring throne wizard, the Rose Witch naturally uses magic with the characteristics of the new textile science when combining textile and botanical magic.’

‘It feels familiar. And it’s even more powerful.’

The falling rose rain seemed like normal rain, but the interweaving of the raindrops was an interweaving of dimensional power. Countless petals fell, as if a world had fallen.

The raindrops in that world continued to interweave, swirling and turning, using the petals to perform textile magic.

One peach tree after another withered and fell, the peach trees along the edge of the wizarding town automatically giving way.

At this moment, Catherine the Witch, not wanting to give the Rose Witch the opportunity to flaunt the Rose Council’s magic in front of everyone, waved her hand, and just as the conflict between the Peach Blossom Spell and the Rose Witch’s spell was about to reach its peak, she suddenly dispelled the Peach Blossom Spell.

Instantly, all the peach trees enveloping the wizarding town transformed from mature trees into saplings, and finally into a seed, which automatically buried itself in the earth and disappeared.

Seeing that Catherine the Witch hadn’t activated the true power of the Peach Blossom Spell before dispelling it, the Rose Witch gritted her teeth in anger, standing motionless for a long time,

afraid that others would notice her loss of composure.

‘Damn Catherine,’

the Rose Witch thought, ‘It’s always been like this, always so cunning, never giving me a chance to cast a spell in front of everyone.’

On the other side, Catherine the Witch smiled. “

Anna wants to cause trouble for me, and she wants to steal the spotlight at my banquet. I won’t let her get away with it.” “

A guest is a guest. I don’t need to compete with her in magic.” “

However, Anna is increasingly combining textile science and botany. That spell just now was indeed quite good.”

The Rose Witch, leading her six students, headed directly to the central square of the wizarding town. She sat across the long table and had her students choose empty seats.

At that moment, Senior Brother Georta said to Locke and the others, “Let’s go, the Rose Witch is causing trouble again. Let’s hurry over and not leave our teacher to face them alone.”

They quickly returned to the central square of the wizarding town.

Meanwhile, Catherine the Witch was actually surrounded by many wizards from Golden Crown Mountain, some from the Academic Committee, and others were students she had trained under the Golden Crown Mountain teaching system.

The witches, Catherine and Rose, were on the verge of exchanging barbs. Enemies meeting, their eyes immediately blazed with hostility.

Rose, thinking of how many projects Catherine had stolen from her and her students, was practically spitting fire.

Catherine, on the other hand, was equally furious at how many good things Catherine had ruined for her.

However, neither showed any anger on their faces; they merely exchanged smiles, refraining from open conflict.

Catherine turned to Commodus, the group leader beside her, and said, “Have your student pour a cup of our Golden Crown Mountain specialty, [Cloud Lake Green Snail], for the 11th Rose Witch of the Rose Council.”

Rose smiled.

“No need,” Commodus replied, “I brought even better tea this time. Have you forgotten? Our Rose Council also produces tea, and even better—we produce flower tea.”

This made the atmosphere at the long table even more tense.

As an invited Senate wizard, Elder Fischer couldn’t contain himself upon hearing this.

“Your Majesty, the Rose Council stole a large amount of mature tea-making techniques from our Golden Crown Mountain and Lu Xu Bridge in the past. Although this has nothing to do with you…”

“That was done by the Seventh Rose Witch. But Golden Crown Mountain has never forgotten this painful memory. It’s quite a tale that some plant hunters have even managed to get into a wizarding university next to the same wizarding land.”

“The Eleventh Rose Witch, your university’s plant hunters are notorious. But I’ve heard you’re no less so; you recently stole one of our Sun Ring Wizards.”

“Hahaha… Wizards, be careful! When recruiting wizarding instructors in the future, do thorough background checks. Don’t hire another disciple of Your Majesty’s Rose Throne!”

The Rose Witch herself showed no anger, only a smile, shaking her head as her ponytail swayed.

Her eldest disciple, however, showed anger on her face and was about to speak.

Suddenly, the Rose Witch raised her right hand.

“Enough with the pleasantries. Katya, I heard you have a disciple who has become a second-circle wizard, the same age as my Tacitus family’s granddaughter.”

“So, I brought my granddaughter here specifically to exchange ideas with your student.”

Ekaterina immediately understood her meaning.

“How do we exchange ideas?”

Rose Witch asked. “Rose.”

Rose Witch stepped forward, bowed to Ekaterina, and then looked at Locke, saying, “Our mentors are friends, and we’re about the same age, so we’re contemporaries.”

“Therefore, I’d like to exchange ideas with you. I recently wove a piece of cloth, and I heard you’ve received the inheritance of the Holy Dragon, while the Peach Bow Thorn Arrow is one of the Red Dragon Throne’s research directions.”

“I want you to shoot down my cloth. If you can, then I lose. Otherwise…”

Locke looked at Ekaterina, who nodded slightly.

Under Rose’s expectant gaze, Locke stepped forward and said, “An exchange? Sure. But it’s too boring, no stakes at all. We White Wizards don’t do things that don’t make money, so if there’s no benefit, I have no interest.”

Catherine the Witch smiled slightly.

Rose Witch, however, was slightly taken aback. In the Rose Council, she couldn’t tolerate such a student with such a strong personality.

After all, she had seen Catherine the Witch nod, allowing Locke to accept the challenge.

But Locke hadn’t accepted immediately; instead, he demanded a stake for the exchange.

What if she refused?

Interesting.
