Chapter 734 Crimson Deep Court, the Dark Wizard of the Holy School!

Locke and Edgar accepted the gifts from the Silent Witch, and after a rather lengthy award ceremony and his relatively brief acceptance speech, carriages departed from the Silent Throne.

The magical carriages, starting from the Silent Throne, traveled in all directions.

A competition had ended; victory was gratifying, and defeat was also acceptable.

With the grand event in Cloud Marsh Wetlands over, many wizards would hurry back to work overtime. Many second-circle wizards had come here using clone magic, their original bodies or clones still at work.

Locke and the others each boarded a magical carriage hired by Golden Crown Mountain, and within half a day, they traversed mountains and valleys, crossing dozens of mortal countries.

From plains to mountains, from hills to swamps, they covered distances that mortals could hardly traverse in a lifetime, returning to the Golden Crown Mountain region.

However, due to the long journey, and the fact that they weren’t being driven there this time, the three of them, each in a magical carriage, gradually became drowsy.

The Preston Witch leaned back in her carriage, yawning.

“The academy’s arrangements this time are indeed quite good. This first-class wizard apprentice coachman, a wizard specializing in beast taming magic within the summoning school, is certainly comfortable driving this carriage.”

She lazily leaned back and gradually drifted off to sleep.

In another magical carriage, Antoine frowned. The carriage convoy had now entered a mountainous region within the mortal realm. In this area, they could see a junior academy established by Little Rest Mountain, standing atop a mountain. In

that junior academy was a second-class wizard apprentice from Little Rest Mountain. This old man, dressed in the robes of a headmaster, looked with slight alarm at the carriage convoy passing by their Little Rest Mountain Verdun Junior Academy, amidst the reverent gazes of the young boys and girls of the junior academy.

He felt terrifying magical pressure passing through the area, like gods and demons, like mountains looming over his heart.

The headmaster quickly ordered the students not to go out at this time, lest they provoke unforeseen individuals.

At the same time, Locke and his companions’ magical carriage suddenly broke away from the group, heading towards a side path, with Chad’s carriage immediately following. Just

then, a crimson river suddenly flowed through the valley, its crimson waters passing beneath the wheels of Locke’s magical carriage.

The first-class wizard apprentice coachman, driving Locke’s carriage, seemed to awaken from a dream, strangely surveying his surroundings, his eyes filled with confusion.

“Strange, how did I end up here?”

He soothed the two magical spirit steeds he connected with, maintaining a spiritual connection with them. He

then turned to Locke inside the carriage and apologized, “I’m sorry, sir. I don’t know why, but I suddenly ended up here.”

Locke inside the carriage didn’t speak, but sat with his eyes closed, seemingly waiting for something.

A crimson river appeared beneath the carriage, flowing ceaselessly as if it had existed since time immemorial.

The next moment, the carriage shrank proportionally, appearing in the middle of a rushing red river.

The first-class wizard apprentice was bewildered, finding the situation even more incomprehensible. The higher a high-ring wizard stood, the farther they could see.

He was merely a first-class apprentice, completely manipulated.

A second-ring wizard had been involved in the attack.

He had used an apprentice-level beast-taming spell, the Lesser Old Horse Knows the Way Charm, which allowed two fiery spirit steeds to tread the turbulent crimson river, preventing them from falling in and instead attempting to escape.

But this river was like a celestial river.

The entire magical carriage was like a toy within it, unable to break free. No matter how hard the first-class wizard apprentice struggled, the carriage only sank deeper and deeper into the crimson river.

Even this first-class wizard apprentice sensed something was wrong.

A crimson river…

could this be the Crimson Deep Court from the Five Great Wars?

The Crimson Deep Court, one of the five major black wizard groups of the Cloud Marsh Wetlands, is characterized by its worship of a crimson deity who claims to be the supreme true god. However, these black wizards were originally a group of holy priests from the Holy School…

The first-class wizard apprentice’s eyes widened. He turned and tried to call for Locke’s response inside the carriage, but Locke didn’t respond at all.

At the same time, a whirlpool suddenly appeared in the crimson river, pulling the entire carriage directly into it.

Then, as if it could descend indefinitely, the entire carriage plummeted rapidly, and after an unknown period of time,

it finally landed .

The first-class wizard apprentice, hired by Golden Crown Mountain, stared at the hellish scene before him, his lips pale. The ancient blood sacrifice magic had long been abolished, but the Crimson Deep Court, as a group of madmen and psychopaths in the wizarding world, would naturally use such magic without restraint.

A group of wizards dressed in bright red robes, wearing bird-beak masks and tall, pointed hats, appeared around the carriage.

There were eleven first-ring wizards, one second-ring dark wizard, and one second-ring common wizard witch.

The second-ring dark wizard from Crimson Deep spoke to the witch Jesse beside him, “Although it took some effort, we still managed to invite this wizard into our Crimson Deep’s divine realm using our second-ring spell, the [Advanced Homecoming Instinct Charm].” The

Homecoming Instinct Charm, a sub-Crimson Deep magic of the Holy School, allows the user to subconsciously influence the target after obtaining a drop of their blood and true name, causing them to involuntarily enter the Crimson Deep’s divine realm.

With this technique, Crimson Deep can accomplish many incredible feats, even surpassing the power of mind manipulation among wizards of the Mind and Enchanting schools. Furthermore, once someone enters the Crimson Deep’s cult, their soul is cursed with this spell, and their name becomes known to Crimson Deep.

Therefore, they could never leave Crimson Deep again, for their arduous escape was merely a prelude to their return!

Crimson Deep is the dark wizarding version of the Holy School of wizards. They are wizards of a certain faith, but unfortunately, they do not believe in the eight fundamental virtues of white wizarding society, but rather in the three tenets of the supreme god of Crimson Deep.

The first tenet—truth is dangerous, therefore the path to truth must be paved with blood.

Thus, these cultist wizards of Crimson Deep, these madmen and fanatics, are all master killers.

The second tenet—v*olence is a necessary means to pursue truth, therefore they need to master the art of v*olence.

The third tenet—pain is power, therefore the dark wizards of Crimson Deep are a group of individuals who enjoy self-mutilation.

At this moment, the Witch Jesse, seeing Locke surrounded by the dark wizards of the Crimson Court, slowly approached and burst into laughter.

“Locke, we meet again. I’ve long advised you to agree to the cooperation request from Solas’s Barefoot and Melochy’s Magic Steps. But you refused, and rejected our kind offer.”

“Your Augustus Wizard Shoes are becoming increasingly successful, which will attract more and more breeding geniuses to the market. But you’ve forgotten that capital is profit-driven, it’s mad. Capital will stop at nothing to expand itself.”

The Witch Jesse glared at Locke with hatred. “So, you’re doomed.”

Locke finally spoke from inside the carriage.

“So, you’ve been abandoned?”

The Witch Jesse’s face paled.

Locke had hit the nail on the head; she had indeed been abandoned by Solas’s Barefoot. As Solas’s Barefoot’s wizard agent, she had long since gone bankrupt due to her inability to pay wizard taxes, and later incurred a mountain of debt to fund her research.

Solas’s Barefoot was her creditor.

Now, the creditors are starting to panic. They’ve witnessed the immense reputation and commercial value the Augustus Wizard Shoes brand gained after Locke’s victory in the Spellfighting Tournament, and they’ve even made calculations based on Locke’s potential victory in the Silent Grail War.

Ultimately, the wizard shareholders of the Solas Barefoot Shop Alliance are horrified to discover that once Locke becomes a second-circle wizard, he will possess the most crucial right of a second-circle wizard—the right to establish shop alliances.

Once a shop alliance is established, according to wizarding world custom, a large number of wizard investors will invest in it.

Based on past experience, if it reaches that point, Solas Barefoot and Melochy Magic Step won’t be able to easily defeat each other.

They will coexist.

Therefore, the two shop alliances cannot allow this to happen.

The only chance to interrupt this development is a very brief period.

First, they cannot attack Locke before he participates in the Silent Grail War.

Second, at that time, they are unsure if they really want to escalate the conflict with Locke to that point, as that would inevitably incur significant costs.

For example, this attack on Locke would likely result in at least one second-circle wizard being imprisoned, and over a dozen first-circle wizards would be implicated to varying degrees.

The two allied businesses, Solas’s Lightfoot and Melochy’s Magic Step, were prepared to sacrifice these wizards to deal with the upcoming wrath of Mount Golden Crown, potentially impacting all their businesses in the Mount Golden Crown region. Given

the immense cost of attacking Locke after the tournament, an attack before the Silent Grail War was even less likely, as Mount Golden Crown might mistake it for an attack against them.

Furthermore, an attack during the tournament itself was even less probable.

Once Locke returned to Mount Golden Crown, he would likely become a second-circle wizard in no time.

As a wizard of Mount Golden Crown, access to the Worldstone would be relatively easy for him.

Therefore, their only opportunity to attack was during Locke’s return from the Silent Throne to Mount Golden Crown.

Although it seemed like plenty of time, the window for attack might be limited.

They had no choice but to seize it.

The witch Jesse sneered, “It doesn’t mean I have to sacrifice myself. I’ll kill you and escape from Cloud Marsh Wetlands immediately. Before that, I’ll kill you little by little.”

“Locke, you’ve ruined me.”

Inside the carriage, Locke said, “Your creditors forced you to do this, what does it have to do with me?”

“However, I didn’t expect you to cooperate so deeply with the dark wizards.”

The witch Jesse, on the other hand, looked surprised. “What are you talking about? Don’t you know that the five major powers behind the Five Great Wars each received sponsorship from a top wizarding university in Cloudswamp?”

“Our Rose Council is the sponsor of Crimson Deep.”

“Storm Tower is the sponsor of the Twin Demon Realms…” “

The Five Great Wars initially started with one wizarding power sponsoring dark wizards to attack the territories of other top wizarding universities, but it quickly became a dynamically balanced system. This action and tradition were recognized by the White Wizarding Association. The White Wizarding Association of Cloudswamp needs to utilize those dark wizards to ensure that the various wizarding universities in Cloudswamp are always able to compete for the top.”

“Therefore, the relationship between the five major dark wizarding groups and the seven top wizarding universities is one of mutual exploitation and extreme complexity. Oh, right, I actually mistook you for a wizard of my own rank.”

The witch Jesse was even more agitated.

In her view, even within Solas Lightfoot’s value judgment, she, an ordinary second-circle wizard, was worth less than Locke, a first-circle wizard.

Therefore, Solas Lightfoot was willing to exchange her and other first-circle wizards for Locke.

This was a typical “asset-based competition” tactic employed by a medium-to-large-sized alliance like Solas Lightfoot.

They used their inferior assets to compete against the enemy’s superior assets, winning by sheer numbers and achieving the effect of inferior money eliminating superior money.

Thinking of this, Jesse’s mood worsened.

She realized that within Solas Lightfoot’s circle, her value was considered lower than Locke’s, and Locke had told her months ago that

their positions were not equal.

This filled Jesse with rage, which she directed at Locke. “Stop wasting time talking to him! Everyone, attack together! Kill him quickly, then scatter and escape!”

Once Locke was killed, she foresaw a life-or-death race against time.

But this was her only way out, a debt slave.

However, at this moment, at least before those days of despair, she could enjoy the thrill of personally killing a genius.

As easily as crushing an ant.

On the other side, the second-circle wizard of Crimson Deep looked at Locke, then at her.

“This is absurd, Bailey.”

“A second-circle wizard being driven to this point by a first-circle wizard? I say, Jesse, your white wizarding society is utterly ridiculous. Being a white wizard is so boring; you might as well worship the supreme god and comprehend the true truth.”

The next moment, a huge phantom of a mace suddenly appeared in the hand of this second-circle wizard of Crimson Deep.

Locke knew that this was the Holy Weapon series of magic of holy wizards.

Holy weapons are formed from the power of faith and divine spirit within the wizards’ artificial divine kingdoms, possessing different abilities depending on the nature of the different artificial divine kingdoms.

But generally speaking, all holy weapons provide a significant bonus to damage to spirits.

Therefore, theoretically, all sacred magic, even the sacred magic of these dark wizards, is specifically effective against necromancy.

The next moment, countless drops of blood converged in the Crimson Deep Garden. This peculiar deep well space, in Locke’s eyes, was a special version of the Law Realm,

but seemingly more profound .

At this moment, the mace was saturated with blood. Then, the second-circle dark wizard raised the mace and smashed it towards Locke. The mace’s handle automatically extended.

The next moment, the Golden Eye Grass that Locke had automatically summoned was smashed open, the entire plant torn apart.

Simultaneously, a spell model appeared on the mace—the second-circle spell of the Crimson Deep Garden system, [Blessing of the Martyr]. When

this hammer struck a person, as a sacred weapon, it could instantly transform the victim’s blood into the spirit that composed the hammer, enhancing its combat power.

The entire Crimson Deep Garden system, due to its extreme pursuit of v*olence and pain, made its dark wizards, as members of the sacred school, extremely powerful in combat.

Their sacred weapon magic system, along with sacred servant magic, mantra magic, and discipline magic, were all incredibly powerful!

At this moment, the sacred weapon slammed down towards Locke.

The eleven first-ring dark wizards surrounded Locke, chanting a hymn of agony.

The effect of this spell was that after Locke was killed, he could continue to move and feel pain for a period of time, even though he was already dead.

This spell was created by the madmen of the Crimson Deep to inflict more pain.

Locke then summoned two Golden Eye Grasses and used the first-ring spell “Connecting Branches,” linking the two photosynthesized Golden Eye Grasses together to strengthen them.

But the next moment, these two Golden Eye Grasses were also shattered instantly by the mace.

The sacred weapon, the mace, possessed the special effect of inflicting double the pain upon damage, making it a veritable torture artifact.

Meanwhile, with an excited look in her eyes, the witch Jesse summoned a devil serpent vine and used a botanical spell to attack Locke.

The second-circle magical plant, the devil serpent vine, resembled a winding, emerald-green venomous snake, attacking Locke first, preparing to taste his blood.

At the same time, the second-circle dark wizard chanted the second spell, Deep Garden Mantra: Paralysis.

Locke immediately felt his entire body paralyzed, half of him numb.

On the magic carriage, the hired first-class wizard apprentice was terrified; he hadn’t expected to encounter such a thing just from taking on a job!

On the magic carriage, Locke sighed slightly. He activated his Water Hyacinth System. Currently, within the divine realm of the Crimson Deep Garden, communication with the outside world was impossible.

But actually… he had already contacted Wizard Chad.

Just half an hour earlier, Wizard Chad had sent Locke a message:

‘Based on my years of experience in strategic shifts on the new route, I believe… well, we’re being tracked.’ “But we’re currently mixed in with a large group, and I don’t know if those trackers mingling with the magic-tracing carriage are tracking us or someone else.”

“The other side should have two second-ring wizards and a dozen or so first-ring wizards. Those two second-ring wizards have very low magic pressure, barely over ten thousand—it’s pathetic.”

“They’re coming on strong. I want to report this to the Sun Ring Wizards at Golden Crown Mountain and have them handle it. I think this little incident should be over soon.”

On the Water Hyacinth’s chat system, Locke sent a message to Wizard Chad.

“No. Senior Chad, I’m short on money lately, so I’m looking for a good opportunity to promote my wizard shoes. If that’s the case, then I have a good idea.”

“Want to know who they’re targeting? It’s very simple. We’ll leave the race later and find out.”

Wizard Chad immediately messaged Locke.

“Wait a minute, Locke, you just left the race, and you shouldn’t be a second-ring wizard anymore.”

“What you need to do now is go back and rest, digest what you gained in the race, and then use the resources you obtained through the race to become a second-ring wizard.”

Locke’s last message to Wizard Chad was—

“I’m sorry, Senior Chad. I’m already a second-ring wizard.” I’m really short on cash lately, so these people are giving me a perfect excuse to promote my wizard shoes. I might as well crush some newbies. Since everyone’s in the big group, I need to seize this last promotional opportunity.

At this moment, Locke’s magic pressure inside the magic carriage surged past 10,000, then 13,000, then 14,000, 15,000, and finally reached… 16,000.

The World Leaf in his hand emitted a faint green glow.

The instant he received the World Leaf, Locke realized that if a World Stone was a recognition certificate for the world consciousness of a medium-sized plane, then this World Leaf was a World Stone of the Endless Void level!

As the symbol of a nature guardian, the World Leaf itself is a second-circle item, a symbol of the second circle.

Therefore, in fact, the moment he obtained the World Leaf, he had already become a true second-circle wizard!

And even better!

Because the World Stone he used wasn’t limited to one plane, but was from the natural world of the Endless Void.

Of course, as another reward of the competition, the coordinates of an unexplored plane were also something he needed.

No wizard could resist this coveted treasure.

The witch Jesse and the second-circle dark wizard felt the immense magical pressure, like the sun descending instantly from within the carriage, and their expressions changed drastically.

What!

How could this be!

How could someone become a second-circle wizard the instant they left the Silent Grail?

Didn’t he need any time to adjust?

At this moment, inside the magic carriage, Locke pressed a hand to his cheek. “Everyone, I, the Eye Wizard, announced my arrival to everyone in Cloudswamp Wetlands when the Silent Grail was in use.”

“What, didn’t you receive the notification?”

A full moon rose behind Locke’s magic carriage, its light radiant—the ultimate spell, Evolution Moon!
