Chapter 689 The Dark Side of the Moon and Moon Plants

Inside the staff dormitory, Locke took out the level 8 Moon Porcelain from the Synthesis Cube. He had already synthesized two Moon Porcelains, consuming four of the Magic Nexus’s natal magic porcelains.

“The first synthesized Moon Porcelain is basically a waste,” Locke said, looking at the Moon Porcelain with a huge crack on its surface.

Synthesis doesn’t necessarily mean improvement. If the synthesis formula is unreasonable or the internal compatibility is unsuitable, the synthesized item may actually be downgraded.

“This kind of thing can’t be used as the core of my moon, but it’s still useful for research. After all, this crack is actually a certain characteristic of the lunar plane, which is just manifested on this magic artifact.”

Locke took out his second synthesized Moon Porcelain, which was formed by synthesizing two natal magic porcelains and a Moon Magic Stone.

There was a huge crater on the back of this moon, while the other side was relatively smooth.

Locke looked at its description: ‘Lunar Dark Side Witch Porcelain, Level 8 Synthetic Item, made using a special witch porcelain manufacturing method…’

‘Crafted by mimicking the dark side of the lunar plane, deeply integrated with the blueprint magic of the ultimate magic created by wizards, transforming into the bright moon rising into the sky.’ ‘

This magical artifact has reached near-second-ring level. As the lunar core, it can mimic the lunar plane to the greatest extent, closely approaching its reality. Magical plants can be planted in the lunar crater. These magical plants will become one with the moon, stabilizing the lunar core and creating a stronger lunar gravity. These magical plants will fuse with the characteristics of the lunar plane.’ ‘Transform into a lunar plant.’   ’Tip 1: The closer the characteristics of the lunar plant are to the lunar plane, the better the effect.’ ‘Tip 2: Because the growth pattern of peach-type magical plants is deeply related to the lunar cycle,

planting peach   -type magical plants will have a better effect.’ Seeing this, Locke   didn’t hesitate much. He immediately channeled his magic into the Moon’s Dark Side porcelain, transforming it into his own magical artifact.   Then, he took out the [Golden Palace Remnant] from his Astral Ring and transplanted this luxury-grade, first-ring magical plant, worth 500,000 magic stones, into it.   Instantly, the tree’s crown transformed into layers of golden clouds, its branches naturally curving like palace eaves, the edges of its leaves seemingly inlaid with gold threads, and its trunk a luxurious golden-red magical plant, taking root in the Moon’s Dark Side.   The thick roots penetrated deep into the giant pit on the back of the Moon’s Dark Side porcelain, using the porcelain as a flowerpot, the roots entwining around the edge of the pit.   At the same time, the Golden Palace Remnant underwent [Moon Planting] transformation, with specks of silver light appearing between its branches and leaves, crystal clear, incomparably beautiful, like a moon palace, aloof and serene, magnificent beyond compare.   The ‘Moon Core’ suddenly and violently expanded, seemingly about to burst the entire room.   Before this happened, Locke blinked his right eye, and instantly a dimensional portal opened, sucking Locke himself and the dark side of the moon into it.   The next moment, he and the moon appeared in his demiplane located in the subspace zone.   At this time, the moon had become enormous, while the Moon Plant—Golden Palace Remnant Branch—hadn’t grown in size, so it looked like a potted plant in a lunar crater.   It was a magical plant from the Moon Palace.   Under this immense magical pressure, the entire 20,000 square kilometer ocean surface of the demiplane was in turmoil; the once calm sea was now filled with waves.   This added a glimmer   of life to this demiplane and perfected some of its laws.   Unfortunately, this plane was inherently flawed; unless a complete, extremely powerful magic spell was poured into it, it had no possibility of becoming a small-scale plane.   And generally, no wizard would be so generous and kind as to give away years of painstaking research to an insignificant demiplane.   Locke sensed that the faint will of the demiplane was completely devoted to him, drawing all the luck of the entire plane towards him.   ”These demiplanes with imperfect rules are so easy to deal with,” Locke said. “The great wizard Sura painstakingly managed the mage plane for two hundred years, only to be outmaneuvered by its will. He failed at the last moment.” ”   But now, I’m merely demonstrating a half-finished version of a powerful spell, yet this demiplane is automatically drawn to me.”   Locke was unconvinced. “If I placed this powerful spell into a small world that desperately needs it, would it have the same effect? Hmm… a small-scale plane, though a bit aloof, should be unable to resist the temptation and directly invite me.”   ”A medium-sized plane is the smallest level of a world. Since it’s a world, it naturally has to be much more aloof.”   Of course, there are other worlds in the endless void, such as the Endless Abyss, which is different from other extremely aloof worlds.   Even an ordinary, officially recognized wizard would rush over immediately to join the Abyss, offering grand promises to lure wizards into their ranks.   ”The Dark Side of the Moon has once again enhanced my previously conceived Evolutionary Moon.”   ”It’s basically a comprehensive upgrade,” Locke pondered. “I have to thank my cheat code. Of course, the main reason is that the synthesis formula was meticulously designed beforehand. The two pieces of witch porcelain were traded from the Nexus City, and the Moon Witch Stone was exchanged for the Apocalyptic Witch Stone obtained from the Abyss Ruins.”   ”These three items are inherently compatible, and the synthesized item happens to be related to the blueprint of my great moon-related magic. The combination of the two naturally enhances the stats.”   ”Moreover, I also obtained the Dark Side of the Moon… planting trough…”   Locke’s expression was strange.   Because the planting trough of the Dark Side of the Moon is itself a characteristic of the lunar plane, meaning that moon plants themselves exist in the lunar plane.   It’s one or more magical plants deeply integrated with the lunar plane.   Now, utilizing the [Moon Planting] mechanism, he could easily incorporate his Peach Bow Thorn Arrow spell model into it.   This essentially filled the last gap in his vast magical repertoire.   Locke chanted the incantation, and instantly the bright moon hung high. The base of the peach tree on the moon remained unchanged, while the upper part transformed into a bow and arrow. Locke summoned the Little Golden Jujube Hanging Sprig; a jujube stalk fell, transforming into an arrow, nocked on the peach bow.   It was poised to fire ,   like a heavy-duty crossbow!   Locke, of course, wouldn’t release this spell, because this was his own demiplane, and he would be heartbroken if it were damaged.   He snapped his fingers, and the spell vanished.   Locke looked at the evolved moon, now back to its normal state, and pondered, “After this spell appeared, my control over this demiplane increased.”

“If before this I was merely a farmer cultivating magical plants on the surface of this demiplane, now I am truly its master. This demiplane itself had little to do with me before.” “It’s

just that I planted five thousand acres of magical plant forest here; I am the master of the magical plant forest, and it has become part of the demiplane. I have formed an indirect connection with it.” “But

with this magic, I almost control the flow of the world’s power…”

Locke pondered, “Is this the perspective of a second-ring wizard? Truly different from a first-ring wizard.” Only

by standing tall can one see far.

Otherwise, a first-ring wizard could simply continue researching and exploring the truth.

This is the reason for pursuing higher wizarding ranks.

Only by becoming a high-ring wizard can one access the truth of this world.

Young first-ring wizards stumble and fall, merely circulating within the constraints of this world, unable to grasp the true reality.

Locke reached out and grasped a wisp of dimensional power invisible to mortals and ordinary wizards.

To outsiders, he had merely grasped a wisp of air, but from his own perspective, he had grasped a wisp of dimensional power.

The power of ultimate magic was truly wondrous.

He had previously used ultimate magic to directly usurp the royal court’s territory, infuriating the lich king, but neither he nor his lich court could do anything about it.

At this moment, Locke’s understanding of ultimate magic deepened even further. “Greater magic can naturally control a relatively rudimentary world, or a part of it.”

“Therefore, using the most important kingdom domain of the Age of Stars to fight a wizard who uses greater magic… that would be truly restrictive, a natural counter.”

“In this way, I only need two weeks at most to fine-tune the spell model, fully combining my Evolutionary Moon and Peachblin Thorn Arrow.”

“Using the dark side of the moon as a link, I can connect the two spells together.”

“The Peachblin Thorn Arrow can then transform into a lunar arrow.”

Locke nodded and said, “Although it’s still somewhat incongruous and messy, it’s already taken shape. The remaining problem isn’t my problem, but rather the problem of my current stage.”

“Currently, I’m in the stage of building my own greater magic, not yet at the forging stage. So, it’s normal for it to be a little messy. When I reach the Star Ring and Lunar Ring stages, I’ll still need to forge it several times.”

Locke pondered, “Greater magic has the ability to temporarily absorb and proxy worlds. This is true for these colonized worlds, but what about the wizarding world?”

After sensing the perspective of a second-ring wizard, Locke couldn’t help but think about it.

The wizarding world has so many wizards of the second circle and above, each possessing supreme magic. Theoretically, each supreme magic has a deep connection to a certain world; it’s just a matter of the degree of this connection.

So, what is the relationship between the wizarding world and these supreme magics?

Locke did a little calculation and arrived at a startling conclusion. “The wizards themselves are beings born from the wizarding world. When the souls of these beings—the supreme magic—become part of other worlds, it’s as if those worlds become part of the wizarding world.” “

The wizarding world doesn’t even need to devour them; it can remotely control a vast number of worlds. Even if wizarding civilization forever remains at the second circle stage, it’s still incredibly profitable for the wizarding world. The wizarding world can continuously expand by constantly accumulating the number of supreme magics among its wizards.”

“I just wonder if supreme magic has any manipulative effect on the world power of the wizarding world?” “

And…” Locke finally understood why the witch Catherine said that the second circle possessed an inexhaustible number of levels.

“I can continuously increase the total number of my individual souls by stacking the number of Great Magic spells, thereby constantly increasing my magical pressure. That’s why Professor Ekaterina said that the second circle can have only four levels, or it can have countless levels.”

“The second circle is a stage without a level cap. At this stage, if a second-circle wizard truly masters a way to construct multiple Great Magic spells, it would be a very good thing for the wizarding world.”

Essentially, after reaching the second circle, the wizarding civilization should have experienced some kind of turning point, because the wizarding civilization could continue along the path of Great Magic, continuously increasing its civilization level by stacking the number of Great Magic spells. In

this way, the wizarding civilization would forever remain at the second circle stage.

But for some reason, this didn’t happen, because the wizarding world embarked on the path of the third circle.

Wait a minute.

Locke thought of the Age of Stars, which already had the third circle, so it’s unlikely they would remain at the Great Magic stage forever.

Locke coughed; these things were so far removed from his own experience that he was experiencing mental confusion and had too many questions.

The wizarding civilization seemed to have had multiple points of divergence in their choices: either continue along the path of Great Magic, or continue using the Kingdom Domain.

In short, the wizarding civilization holds too many secrets, and at my current level, I’m truly like a blind man touching an elephant.

“I can roughly understand why the wizarding civilization would abandon the path of the Kingdom Realm becoming a second-ring, or even third-ring,

wizarding realm,” Locke pondered. “The Kingdom Realm, in essence, is about creating a large magical realm. This realm bears the extra magical pressure of the Realm Lord, elevating them to the second-ring level. Perhaps, for some reason I don’t currently understand, it could even be elevated to the third-ring…” “

No, according to calculations, the Kingdom Realm, based on my current understanding, is actually limited to a normal second-ring. Therefore, the Kingdom Realm must have further developments, leading to subsequent lunar, stellar, and solar rings,”

Locke mused. “The Kingdom Realm I understood within the Historical Boundary Marker Charm is only the simplest, original version.”

“There must have been many developments along this path. But ultimately, the entire route was abandoned by the wizards. The number of Realm Lords is inherently very limited, which means the number of second-ring wizards in the Age of Stars must have been far, far fewer than it is now.”

A magical realm is essentially a magical kingdom, so the resource utilization rate is probably only one percent of that of the current wizarding civilization.

It’s equivalent to needing a hundred times the resources to cultivate a second-circle wizard.

Moreover, the separation between the magical realm and the wizard himself is absurdly high.

If someone destroys the kingdom first and then targets the wizard, breaking the magical realm first and then the wizard,

then they’ve been tricked.

The kingdom is destroyed, the magical realm is destroyed, and the wizard’s level drops.

Just like King Otto whom Locke saw years ago, his wizard level actually dropped from the third circle to the first circle’s limit—it’s simply outrageous.

This is hardly like a Grand Magic spell; it’s practically impossible for that to happen.

Back then, in the Spellfighting Tournament, the Senate wizards’ Grand Magic spells were stolen by wizards from the Twin Demon Realms, but it had no effect on their own magic level.

After all, as long as Grand Magic exists, it’s equivalent to the existence of a soul, equivalent to your existence, equivalent to you still being a second-circle wizard!

Locke sat in his demiplane, organizing his thoughts. Currently, he possessed three methods to become a second-circle wizard.

The first option is to use this round of evolutionary moon to seize the World Stone, or to have the world willingly grant him the World Stone, thus becoming a second-circle wizard.

The second option is to utilize his dragon bloodline or the bloodline of the Three-Eyed Tiger Cat to transform his wizard bloodline into the corresponding magical creature bloodline, thus transforming himself from human to beast and becoming a second-circle being.

The third option is to create a corresponding magical kingdom and become a second-circle wizard there.

The third option is possible because he happens to know the basic principles of the kingdom realm. He only needs to find a colony world to create it.

However, Locke believes that one should take the right path, so he will definitely choose the first route.

Locke left the demiplane and returned to his dormitory.

“The competition starts in two months,” Locke said. “But I’m already quite satisfied with my current level of ultimate magic. With Daniel’s research, I’ll reach the best I can do right now.”

“For the remaining two months, I should focus on Group 2,”

Locke pondered. “It would be better to finish the first-class project grant. Researching the energy-locking structure of ancient flower roots and the ecology of the dune plane is already very important to me. Rather than obsessing over the construction of ultimate magic, focusing on these concrete things might actually improve me more.”

“I can quickly shorten the research time with the funds I have; let’s throw money at it.” Locke had previously conceived of using grafting to give his Great Snow-Capped Pineapple Wizard Shoes series glandular root structures, enhancing his burst damage, or instantaneous speed.

This way, he could launch the fifth wizard shoe product, capitalizing on his success. He could

use the Silent Grail and the Demon War as his best advertising platforms, and give the top wizard shoe shops in the Cloud Marsh Wetlands a major boost, completely solidifying the status of his Augustus Wizard Shoes brand.

He happened to have ten million magic stones on hand, which he could convert into cash.

In the process, he could also complete the True Knowledge Institute’s project.

Locke sat on the sofa, pondering, “But things are really strange with Wizard Bailey… Lately, I had Mason and the others investigate the Dune Plane, only to find that the pollution there is worsening daily.”

“Zaran Bailey is a bit too eager for quick success. In ecological restoration research, the worst thing is to pursue results solely for the sake of appearances and performance; this can easily lead to short-term prosperity, but ultimately result in a greater ecological collapse. But he’s a second-circle wizard; he shouldn’t be that foolish.”

“If he really doesn’t care at all, he’ll be the one who suffers in the end

.” Locke keenly sensed the problem. “There’s probably more to this than meets the eye, but I’m still only a first-circle wizard; it’s best not to get involved.”

“There’s probably some huge vortex of interests involved, with everyone involved. Zalan Bailey has most likely been set up. So, these past few days, the witch Mason has said she’s been very attentive to me; it’s best if I don’t see him.”

Locke made up his mind not to get involved in things that didn’t concern him, especially at this crucial juncture of entering his soul decay phase.

Locke heard a knock on the door; the wizard Daniel’s voice came from outside. “Locke, are you there?”

Locke opened the door and saw Daniel and one of Daniel’s witch students. The witch student was now meek and obsequious.

Locke recalled that Daniel had complained to him before that his student had tried to change tutors when he was almost a debt slave. Now that Daniel had made a comeback, she probably received a lot of scolding from him for it.

Daniel smiled and said, “You seemed very interested in the new energy carrier I was trying to develop. I can tell you need it.”

“Locke, I call it [Velen’s Mist].”

“Take a look.”

Daniel took out a jar made of Chrono Crystal, with a wisp of ethereal mist inside. “This mist is composed of countless tiny water droplets, increasing the surface area, and it’s made with light particles of water infused with the element of argillaceae.”

Locke looked at him with surprise.

“Dang element light particles are a concept in meteorology. It’s a special element that only appears in the clouds at the top of underground spaces. This element can increase the surface area of my fog and enhance its ability to absorb special energy.” “

Mixing this element with ordinary water, evaporating it to form fog, and then using meteorological magic to adjust the fog’s [fog lock] structure—you see, the three-dimensional structure of these fog droplets—is my Velen Fog.” “

However, Velen Fog, currently, can only store light energy.”

“Moreover, due to its special structure, after absorbing a large amount of energy, it exhibits colloidal properties. Its fluidity is greatly reduced, which is completely different from my initial assumptions.”

Wizard Daniel smiled wryly. “This thing is completely opposite to my research goals. In other words, I’ve discovered a new form of energy carrier, but the problem is that this energy carrier… its properties are different from what I initially thought.”

“I’m going to lose money again.”

Wizard Daniel glanced at his student.

The witch immediately spoke. “Teacher, you’ve already done a fantastic job. This is just a small initial investment; you’ll surely reap exponential rewards soon.”

Wizard Daniel said with satisfaction, “Helen, your voice has become very pleasant lately. I appreciate your current attitude. I forgive you.”
