Chapter 21 Level 5 Dark Blue Jade

Locke heard the quarrel outside the door becoming more and more intense, so he opened the door.

He saw that in the corridor on the first floor below the deck, an adult woman wearing a swordsman’s uniform and carrying a two-handed sword was arguing with the wizard Miaozi on this floor in an unconvinced manner.

The woman seemed to be named An’Qiraj. Locke felt that her magic power was slightly weaker than his, but she had indeed reached the stage of a third-class wizard apprentice.

But from Ahn’Qiraj’s words, Locke also learned that she only had the qualifications of a level 1 wizard.

It was precisely because of this that Anqila felt suffocated. If the residences were divided according to strength, she should at least live on this floor.

However, the residences in the wizard ship are mainly divided according to future potential and qualifications, rather than current strength.

In the corridor, many young wizards opened their doors and observed what was happening because of the heated quarrel.

Under the gaze of everyone, Ahn’Qiraj blushed and became even more angry and embarrassed.

She glared at the apprentices who were trying to stop her. “We’re all third-class wizard apprentices. My mental strength is even stronger than yours. Why can you live here but I can’t?”

At that time, a wizard mentor had already walked down, so all the wizard seedlings in the corridor stopped talking.

Locke recognized that the wizard mentor who came down from outside was Jarvis who had tested him and others before.

Instructor Jarvis looked at Ahn’Qiraj with apathy, as if he were looking at a stone by the roadside. “Third-Class Wizard Apprentice Ahn’Qiraj, return to where you belong. Don’t make me say this again.”

Anqila said: “But… this… this is not fair.”

“My magic power is as strong as theirs… This is not fair…”

Mentor Jarvis said coldly, “If it weren’t for the Wizard Seedling Protection Act, you would have been thrown into the sea to feed the fish.”

“Let me ask you, how long did it take you to become a third-class wizard apprentice?”

Anqila blushed, was stunned for a moment, and then slowly said: “It took me fifteen years.”

In the corridor, many people gasped.

Because it generally only takes two to three years for a wizard with level 3 qualifications to go from learning to becoming a third-class wizard apprentice, but Ahn’Qiraj took fifteen years.

Jarvis pointed at a wizard prodigy he had brought in and said, “It only took him three and a half years. For wizard prodigies at this level, it usually takes two to three years to become a third-class wizard apprentice.”

“The few who fall behind won’t use it for more than five years.”

“In other words, they only took a fraction of your time to become third-class wizard apprentices like you.”

Mentor Jarvis said coldly, “For those with level 4 wizard qualifications, becoming a third-class wizard apprentice usually takes about one and a half to two years. For those with level 5 or 6 qualifications, becoming a third-class wizard apprentice is as easy as eating and drinking water.”

“It could take anywhere from a few months to a year.”

Mentor Jarvis said, “This is the gap between you and them. You can become a third-class wizard apprentice now only because you are old enough and have spent enough time studying, but from now on, the gap between you will only get bigger and bigger.”

“Go back to where you belong.”

“If you dare to cause trouble again, even if you are protected by the Wizarding Seedling Protection Act, I will make you pay the price.”

Mentor Jarvis turned and left.

Anqira’s pupils were distracted and dilated. “Making trouble… In your eyes, I’m just a troublemaker…”

“I’m a respected and favored person on the Koso Continent, but on this ship, I’m just a troublemaker with first-level qualifications.”

The wizard mentor’s words undoubtedly destroyed her faith. An’Qiraj’s eyes became decadent, and she walked towards the stairs with stiff muscles, ready to go to the bottom of the deck.

Locke closed the door. This scene was both expected and unexpected to him.

Most of the wizard seedlings come from the archipelago. They are the chosen ones of heaven in their respective worlds, but when they come to the wizard ship, they will find that they are just ordinary people, and their status may even be very low.

They lose their mental balance and of course behave in an irrational way.

Locke sat on the bed and laughed at himself, “I also want to live on the deck. The rooms on the deck are better, and you can see the picturesque scenery of the artificial sky and artificial garden. Besides, the wizard mentors on the ship also live on the deck.”

“But I didn’t expect that there would be a wizard seedling who tried his best to live on the same floor as me.”

“The chain of contempt is endless.”

Locke’s eyes flashed with confidence. “Wizard qualifications don’t determine everything. Someone with level 3 wizard qualifications can still become a full-fledged wizard.”

The illusory Horadric synthetic cube in front of him was spinning, flashing silver sparks.

Locke took out this time’s level 5 synthetic item from the Horadric synthetic cube. It was a navy blue gem the size of an adult’s index finger.

“This time the formula is done.” Locke was excited. He had been carrying a large number of gems with him recently and trying out synthesis formulas according to different gem types.

This time the synthesis formula is a level 4 dark blue gem, a level 4 ordinary black agate, and a level 4 ordinary black pearl.

In most cases, these level 4 gem items, when synthesized, will only change in color and size, becoming more worldly valuable, and rarely produce special effects like deep blue gems.

But this time, a different entry appeared for the Level 5 Dark Blue Jade: [Level 5 synthetic item, Dark Blue Jade, a rare gemstone from deep underground mines. The reason for its formation is still unknown, but it is said to be a mixture of dark blue jade and several natural gemstones.]

[The spiritual power fluctuation filtering effect of the navy jade is stronger than that of the deep blue jade. At the same time, a level 5 navy jade can store 10 mana points.]

Locke was stunned when he saw this description. He immediately took out a gold ring that he had made in advance from his backpack, inlaid the navy blue gem in it, and then hid it with an ordinary sapphire inlaid on the outer layer of the gold ring.

Locke poured his magic power into the dark blue jade according to the description in the entry. He felt an endless supply of magic power entering it.

But there is some mysterious connection between himself and the magic power within the dark blue gem.

As long as he thinks about it, all the magic power will return to his body again.

Locke quickly understood the function and principle of the navy jade. “If the deep blue jade is a filter sponge, then the navy jade is a capacitor that stores current. By storing my mental energy, the navy jade can absorb and release my mana, stabilizing its fluctuations.”

“Although the effect is similar to that of the Deep Blue Orb, the principle is completely different.”

“More importantly…” Locke thought, “10 mana points is equivalent to the mana of a third-class wizard apprentice. Patty’s mana is also 10 points.”

“But I can now store 10 mana points in the navy jade.”

“This means I have 10 more mana points than other third-level wizard apprentices. I can use more spells in battle.”

“Even during my usual research and study, this extra mana has made me more efficient.”

Locke realized the value of the Navy Orb. “I’m afraid the Navy Orb is also worth a lot of money in the wizarding world. At least I haven’t seen anything like it on a wizard ship yet.”

‘I’d better not let other wizards see me with this thing.’
