Writing Summary for May 2026

(Remember the original website domain: 𝕥𝕨𝕜𝕒𝕟.𝕔𝕠𝕞)

To record my writing experience and progress, I’ve decided to write a writing summary periodically.

First, I believe that a book, at least for me, should improve with each writing session; I don’t accept a decline.

Because an author should constantly improve while writing, from writing skills to cognitive abilities. Therefore, a book can only get better, not worse, and the book’s data is also increasing.

This proves my point.

Why don’t I like using writing aids? Precisely because the author is constantly improving, and writing aids are like crutches; using them prevents continued progress.

Last month, April’s structure and story were slightly average, although I asked several fellow readers, and they didn’t seem to notice. This might be because I’m constantly improving myself. I especially enjoy rating my own books according to my own evaluation system; my book’s content has indeed improved significantly, from the beginning to the middle, and now.

At the beginning of this month, after summarizing and adjusting the pace, I’ve made further progress recently.

This is mainly due to qualitative changes in pacing, theme, and character design.

This is likely related to my starting to conceive of side stories.

After all, side stories are great for honing an author’s ability to create openings and entry points.

And openings and entry points are precisely what I’m least good at.

It’s worth mentioning that, looking back at my drafts, 5.38 million words, I don’t know how many times I rewrote them, word by word. To create the best reading experience for readers, I removed some of the world-building drafts. I probably wrote around 500,000 words of discarded drafts, constantly rewriting to ensure quality.

Some readers have complained to me about why I keep rewriting and then not updating on the same day. Sometimes I even rewrote a single chapter two or three times.

Later, I realized that the rewriting causing the lack of updates on the same day was my fault, so I need to build up some backlog.

But currently, what I’ve done best is the world-building, followed by the cognitive perspectives within that world, and the theme of each story. Each of my paragraphs has its own theme and revolves around the main content of the first and second rings.

Although this sign wasn’t very obvious at first, I must admit that my early work wasn’t as good as it is now.

But now, while my character is still decent, it’s not prominent enough, and the emotions in my books aren’t strong or rich enough.

These are the two biggest minor flaws I see in my book.

I hope that by June, through practice and reflection, I can make the emotions and character development more prominent.

I still maintain that an author’s only moat is their work, and my only task is to write a good book. Therefore, I will give it my all and absolutely not let anything distract me. My only current task is to push this book to its best possible level and achieve the three major goals I set when writing it.

The first major goal is to create a magical world that readers who love the wizarding world can immerse themselves in, sharing the enjoyment of truth, goodness, and beauty.

The second major goal is that the theme of this book truly transitions from knowledge above all else to humanism. I didn’t do this very well initially, but now I’m gradually improving. Readers can see the clash between civilizations and the shared reflections between humanity and different civilizations and societies within my book.

The third major goal is to write a book that draws attention to the power of plants and nature. The author is a plant enthusiast and deeply loves planting, cultivating, and grafting plants. So, I have a personal reason for writing this. It seems there aren’t many mainstream cultural works on the market focusing on plants, forests, and rice, so I decided to write one myself.

I hope that by June, I can at least solve one problem—completing the goal of establishing a strong character.

If I can achieve that, I believe the book’s success will reach even greater heights.

The book’s quality, and the author’s quality, have been constantly improving, just like Locke in the story.

I’ve always believed that people need to learn constantly, so I’m constantly thinking about how to improve.

There’s definitely a significant gap between the beginning and the current level.

Hahaha~

I’ll start gradually correcting the typos and grammatical errors in the beginning, but the plot is much harder to change.

In short, completing this book is an author’s sole responsibility, and it can’t be done ordinaryly; it must be done exceptionally well.

Therefore, I will give it my all, and you can trust the author—this book can reach even greater heights!

The author has poured their heart and soul into every single plot point!

Current goal: 20,000 subscriptions!
