Chapter 1024 Obtaining the Magical Plant: Wang Bu Liu Xing!

Locke pondered for a moment. If his plan could be realized, then rescuing Hai Shan wouldn’t just bring him risk; it might even further reduce his risk and bring him benefits. In

a flash

, Locke went over, helped him up, and gave him a bottle of [Holy Spring Dew Potion].

The next moment, Hai Shan seemed to have recovered somewhat. His magic pressure didn’t increase; instead, it dropped to just over ten thousand, and he was even about to fall below the second ring due to excessive magic pressure loss.

He was covered in wounds, some new, some long-standing.

After drinking the potion, Haishan recovered somewhat. Although the Holy Spring Dew was only a crystallized potion, this potion, modified by Locke, could still have some effect on a second-circle wizard. After all, most second-circle wizards weren’t extravagant enough to use second-circle potions casually.

Haishan regained some of her senses.

“Don’t touch me—Locke—”

The next moment, the spiritual energy flowing on Haishan’s body began to migrate towards Locke’s skin along his hand. These spiritual energy spells cast by enchanting wizards exhibited characteristics completely different from those of potion-making wizards, clinging to Locke’s body like maggots.

“I see. Wizards specializing in bloodlines and curses really can’t handle this kind of spiritual energy.”

Locke chanted a spell, and magical flames appeared on his body. He then used these flames to refine the spiritual energy, preventing it from migrating to his body.

At the same time, Locke also deciphered the meaning of this spiritual energy—[The Untouchable].

This seemed to be a kind of enchanting magic.

Behind this layer of macros lies a corresponding spell model structure.

Are macros used to enhance the power of the Enchanting School’s spells? Each spell model corresponds to a specific macro, but why can’t I transcribe these macros, processed by the Enchanting School wizards, into ritual actions or make them into macro imprints?

Locke felt a flicker of doubt, but he decided to investigate further when he returned to Golden Crown Mountain.

Perhaps these macros had already been used once by the Enchanting School wizards.

At this moment, Locke took out a bottle of potion, the Potion of Displacement.

“Drink it, Haishan, you’ll be alright.”

Locke opened the potion bottle. “This level of enchanting magic, trying to stump a second-circle potion master? It’s laughable.”

Haishan drank the Potion of Displacement. The next moment, he coughed violently. Under the effect of Locke’s potion, the auras on his body began to drift in all directions, then condensed into a clone. And at the instant his own auras dispersed and condensed into the clone, the foreign auras that had been enchanting his body also dispersed and landed on the clone.

The clone covered his face and screamed, because the auras of “Untouchable” had turned into symbols and were imprinted on his face.

This was not an ordinary tattoo on a person’s face.

This was a mark that was more fundamental, beyond the soul and mind.

This marking even affected his true form, especially since he was just an avatar. Therefore, the spiritual energy caused Haishan’s avatar to scream in agony.

Locke, having escaped the enchantment, quickly left the area.

The avatar, however, covered its face with its hands and stumbled away in a random direction.

Half a day later, a group of wizards with tattooed faces arrived. They wore blue wizard robes, all short-sleeved.

The leader of the group looked towards the towering tree where Haishan had been lying.

The wizard, blindfolded, had the word “Hunter” tattooed on his left cheek and “Kill” on his right. His skin was blue, and he was taller than average, with leathery skin. He bent down to examine himself, then spoke to a tribesman behind him who resembled him: “Someone has broken my ‘Gift of Indifference.'”

“Incredibly skilled. I rarely see anyone break my ‘Gift of Indifference.’ Ordinary wizards can’t do that; the opponent must be either an alchemist or a potion master.”

“Only wizards of these two specialties can quickly break our tribe’s enchantments.”

Behind him stood a blue-skinned woman with a burly frame. Her eyes weren’t blindfolded, and she wore an expression of surprise.

“It seems even outsiders have experts. This time, in pursuit of that foreign wizard, we went to many wizarding territories, truly broadening our horizons and gaining much. This can be considered a blessing in disguise.”

“But who is so powerful as to be able to break the enchantment magic of our Night Hunter Clan? Our clan’s enchantment magic is unparalleled in the wizarding world.”

The young chieftain of the Night Hunter Clan raised his left hand, on the back of which was inscribed the character “Catch.” “It’s alright, we’ll meet soon. Disrupting our clan’s Night Hunting Game, causing our siblings’ and my breakthrough ritual to the Star Ring to fail, is something I will never forgive. No matter where the pursuit takes me, I will complete my Night Game and become a Star Ring Wizard.”

“He is also our chosen prey; we must kill him to complete the game.”

“And I will make him return the treasures he stole from our clan.”

A spell model appeared on the character “Catch” on the young chieftain’s left hand, perpendicular to his palm. From this model, a chain emerged, binding his left hand and pointing it in a certain direction. A

cruel glint appeared in the young chieftain’s eyes.

“Found it.”

Behind him, his sister, a female night hunter, exclaimed in amazement, “Brother, you’re so powerful! Is this the enchantment spell you developed, ‘Hunter’s Gift’?”

“This enchantment spell seems to allow you to pinpoint the direction of the spirit you’ve marked. That way, that guy won’t be able to escape—” the

young clan leader said, “Let’s go.”

They hadn’t gone far when an invisible undead appeared on the treetop of the towering tree where the sea stigma had been lying. The undead looked down.

“Found it. Under the Dragon’s Net, there’s nowhere to hide. We can’t let that wizard from Golden Crown Mountain get away like this.”

“Who are these wizards? They seem strange—should we tell Lord Dragon Lich?”

The soul fire in the undead’s pupils flickered.

“But anyone has a chance to become the Lich God, right?”

“If I could seize Locke Augustine’s form, I might gain the power to backstab the Dragon Lich. Anyway, I haven’t died under the Great Magic: Wheel of the Underworld yet, so I can still remain independent. Heh, then I’ll ignore the Dragon Lich and go after Locke Augustine.”

Locke helped Haishan through a dark, dense forest that blocked out the sky. He casually picked a royal jelly flower, crushed it, and applied it to Haishan’s wounds. Royal jelly was only an apprentice-level magical plant; its corolla resembled a bee. The mixed juice after crushing it could stop bleeding and temporarily allow a seriously injured person to walk normally.

The reason was that the corolla of the royal jelly contained a kind of natural magical structure similar to the [Pain-Free Spell] of the Conjuration School.

Although it was only an apprentice-level magical plant, if used properly, and under the guidance of Locke, a second-circle potion master, it could at least restore Haishan’s ability to speak to him.

Meanwhile, Haishan intermittently explained to herself the whole story of why she had fainted in the forest.

Locke said, “You mean, you went to the Shadow Peninsula and unintentionally got involved in the Night Hunter Clan’s [Night Hunting Ritual] held within the Dark Forest of the Shadow Peninsula’s own territory? I read about that ritual in an ancient book. Night Hunters are naturally skilled in enchanting magic.”

“Their talent in enchanting is unparalleled.”

“They joined the wizarding world during the Great Exploration Era. The Night Hunter Clan has lived in seclusion for generations in a mysterious forest on the Shadow Peninsula, rarely interfering in the affairs of mainstream wizarding society. However, I remember that the Night Hunter Clan also established its own Night Hunter Academy, with its own members holding important teaching positions.”

“I remember their hunting ceremony, a special advancement ritual for these enchanting schools of wizards. And it’s a ritual unique to this clan. What were you doing there?”

Haishan said. “Locke, you saved me twice, so I won’t lie to you. That’s my principle. I told you that after receiving the Primordial Wizard’s legacy, fighting the Pale Pilgrimage vampires, I always thought I had escaped the Primordial Wizard’s control. As long as I didn’t return to the clan as a blood bag, even if the Primordial Wizard revived a hundred years later, I could protect myself.” “

But I soon discovered—I was wrong, terribly wrong. The Primordial Wizard truly deserves to be a Third Ring Throne-level wizard.”

Haishan’s expression was bitter.

“After parting ways with you last time, I quickly obtained information about another Primordial Wizard’s legacy ruins. Everything about the Primordial Wizard, for some reason, is constantly approaching me.”

Even the former dark wizard, Haishan, now showed confusion and fear on her face.

“I don’t know if my efforts have been meaningful. I entered that vampire ruin, and in the very center of the ruin, I saw a book that actually predicted my approximate growth trajectory. Only then did I realize that all my growth was actually under the control of that ancestral wizard.”

Haishan’s teeth were chattering.

Locke could hardly believe that someone as proud as Haishan would show such fear at this moment.

Locke led him into a cave and placed him against the cave wall. He calmly said, “If you only have your past and present, but no future, then it doesn’t really matter. The prophets of the Moon Ring can probably know your general past without you even realizing it.”

Haishan lay on the wall and said to Locke, “Not general, not in great detail, just as if they know everything about me. And there’s a blood-stained pen floating above that book. The Throne Wizard hasn’t revived yet, but his power has already seen through me. Not just my growth trajectory, but also many of my plans to deal with him.”

“He sees me as food.”

“He’s waiting for a hundred years, for him to revive and return, to devour me alive. When I saw that book, I realized I had never escaped the clutches of the Primordial Wizard. And I was probably already under his control the moment I became a wizard apprentice in the Southeast Corner. I’m a blood bag he specially cultivated. Locke, you can probably understand why I’m so frustrated right now?”

Locke remained silent.

He knew that someone as proud as Haishan, suppressed for years in the Blood Curse Court and prevented from becoming a first-ring wizard, showed little emotional fluctuation. This

was simply because he believed himself to be special.

He believed he was the most unique, a wizarding genius, and certain he would reach the end.

But when Haishan discovered that his entire life might just be that of a puppet manipulated by the Pale Pilgrimage Throne Wizard: the progenitor wizard, his heart must have been utterly devastated. This would be enough to destroy his self-perception and his self-confidence.

Haishan continued, “I realized I can’t continue like this. I must obtain some magical inheritance beyond that of the progenitor wizard to offset the progenitor wizard’s control over me. And even if I don’t want to, the magical resources and wizarding relics arranged for me by the progenitor wizard will automatically appear before me.”

Haishan said, “There’s no way to hide. So I can only accept it. In the Dark Forest where the Dark Hunters live, there is an important inheritance left by the progenitor wizard. It contains a large amount of magical resources, even star ring resources.”

Locke glanced at him but didn’t speak.

Haishan said, “After I took the resources from there, I noticed the special heritage ritual of the Night Hunter race—the Night Hunting Ritual. It’s a complex advancement game. In that ritual, a Night Hunter wizard can obtain the enchanted runes from another Night Hunter wizard by defeating them, transferring the runes to themselves to increase their magic pressure and enhance the power of their enchanted spell model.” “

So, as long as a wizard’s magic pressure reaches a certain level and their enchanted spell model reaches a certain level, they can advance their magic level by participating in the hunting game.” “

That game also selects wizards from other races, and I was selected. Once defeated, the hunter can permanently steal a portion of my magic pressure.”

Haishan smiled bitterly.

“That’s why I’m in such a miserable state now.”

“But I don’t know how they did it. The magic pressure I painstakingly cultivated was just taken away by them like that.”

Haishan looked at her right hand, pondering.

Locke looked at his right hand and saw a spirit macro [Prey] appear on the back of his right palm.

Locke extended his palm, a wisp of magical flame emanating from each of his five fingers. Just as he was about to touch the enchanted spirit macro, it vanished from Haishan’s hand, disappearing without a trace.

“This enchanted spirit macro is probably the core of that Dark Night Hunting Game. Even using the Teleportation Potion couldn’t help you get rid of it.”

“Hmm—it can convert your magical pressure into [Prey] spirit macros. So every time the opponent defeats you and steals a spirit macro from you, they can steal your magical pressure. This is yet another form of plunder.”

Haishan gradually felt the pain in her wound return.

“Another one?”

Locke nodded. “Yes, advanced necromancy among the undead also possesses the ability to plunder forms. Not only can they plunder forms, but they can also use forms to summon undead and enslave forms.” “

However, I didn’t expect that the magical heritage of some enchanting schools would exhibit similar characteristics.”

Form and substance seem to be an important area of research for high-ring wizards.

Haishan smiled wryly, “That’s great.”

“I participated in the Dark Night Hunting Ritual because I wanted to gain power beyond the control of the Primordial Wizard. Since neither side is any good, I can naturally accept them all. The Primordial Wizard sees me as his food, as his possession. I’ve already gone this far—”

A desperate, reckless glint flashed across Haishan’s face.

“If I were to hesitate any longer, I might as well clean myself up and send myself over there.”

“Now, whoever’s inheritance is dangerous, whoever’s inheritance has a pitfall, I’ll take it. That way, I might be able to advance faster.”

Locke realized.

“Haishan, your plan isn’t—”

“You want to complete this Dark Night Hunting Ritual? You want to personally hunt their forms and then obtain the runes on their bodies.”

Locke frowned, because he wasn’t sure if such a decision was wise.

Because two negatives don’t necessarily make a positive.

Sometimes, things would only get worse.

But being targeted by a Throne Wizard was indeed a terrible feeling, especially since his entire life seemed to have been manipulated by the Primordial Wizard.

From this perspective, Haishan’s outstanding performance in the Southeastern Region was undoubtedly influenced by the shadow of the Primordial Wizard.

And after accepting this, a hidden, extreme madness, ready to explode, lurked within her personality.

Locke asked, “You want to advance to a Star Ring Wizard through this ritual?”

“So, were you faking your injury earlier? Was it bait?”

Haishan shook her head. “No, it wasn’t bait. I really messed up.”

“Locke, this has nothing to do with you. The Night Hunters are not to be trifled with; they have many Moon Rings, and legend has it they even have Sun Rings. You and I are different; you’re a senior researcher at Golden Crown Mountain. You’d better leave quickly. I’m grateful for your help in saving me.”

“In return, I can give you some of the Primordial Wizard’s legacy, especially those Star Ring resources I don’t need right now,”

Haishan said. “Then you can leave.”

His eyes were sinister.

“This forest is a hunting ground I deliberately chose for them. I intentionally gave them some of my forms before, but the power of a cursed mage isn’t so easily obtained. I already cast a curse on them when I gave them the forms.”

“Go, Locke. I’m about to hold a grand hunting ceremony here and obtain the final [High-Rank Night Hunter] rune.”

Haishan took out a bottle from her astral ring. Locke saw that the glass bottle was filled with a deep blue liquid, with starlight within it.

Locke said, “This is—if I’m not mistaken, this is Star Blood.”

“This is the blood of the Titans, a race that originates in a few planes within the endless void. Soaking in the blood of a Titan can increase a wizard’s magical pressure. Of course, soaking in the blood of a Void God will incur sin, so a specific potion is needed to cleanse one’s sins.”

“This kind of thing is quite rare even among Star Ring resources.”

“You’re willing to give it to me?”

Hai Shan said, “Of course. Besides that, I also have a Miracle Stone. I looked up information about this stone in the library of the Dark Hunter Academy. A wizard who obtains the Miracle Stone can make a wish, and that wish will be granted.”

“It can be used to fight enemies, to heal injuries, and even to wish for an increase in magical pressure.”

“The maximum increase is five hundred points.”

Locke took the resources handed to him. Each resource here was a high-level Star Ring resource, not an ordinary one.

Especially Star Blood, which is an extremely difficult resource to obtain.

It’s also one of the reasons for the great conflict between the wizarding world and the Titans.

The Miracle Stone is no ordinary object; it’s extremely rare in the endless void, practically a world wonder, something only found on new voyages.

Locke looked at the pebble-sized Miracle Stone in his left hand and asked, “If I make a wish with this stone, it should immediately heal your injuries. Is it alright if you give it to me like this?”

“Or perhaps I should use it to heal your injuries,”

Haishan waved her hand. “You saved me. If you hadn’t saved me, these things would have fallen into the hands of the Night Hunters, and I’m just an ordinary second-ring wizard. I can’t use these Star Ring resources; it’s better to give them to you.” “

Besides, I have a vial of Progenitor Blood. If I can drink it, it will greatly increase my chances of becoming a Star Ring Wizard.”

Locke looked at Haishan strangely and said, “Your statement is strange. Increasing magic pressure is the simplest step in advancement. Have you forged your power system yet?”

Haishan said, “Power system forging—I can utilize the heritage of the Night Hunters and the Primordial Wizards.”

Haishan said to Locke, “You don’t understand. I can’t walk the righteous path. I’m different from you. I took the wrong path at the beginning, which led to every step I took afterward being wrong. But you took the right path at the beginning, so every step you took was right. Even if I wanted to take the righteous path, the Primordial Wizards wouldn’t let me. I don’t want to take the evil path, and I can’t take the righteous path, so I can only take the extreme path. I want to use the heritage of the Primordial Wizards and the heritage of the Night Hunters to forge a path that belongs to me.”

“I want more dangerous heritage!”

Locke nodded, because this was Haishan’s own choice, and as an outsider, he really couldn’t say anything.

Haishan said, “There’s another reason I gave you two Star Ring resources. I found that potion you gave me to drink particularly useful. Do you have any more?”

“I wanted to exchange some of those potions for Miracle Stones.”

Locke paused for a moment, then said, “I still have a Displacement Potion, a Nero No. 2 Potion, and a Nero No. 3 Potion.”

“If you want them, I can give them all to you. Exchanging three second-ring potions for Miracle Stones, I’m actually getting a better deal

. “

Haishan leaned against the wall, trying to stand up; his body was aching.

“That’s called mutual benefit. Exchanging resources I can’t use for resources you can use immediately. In my opinion, it’s not like you’re getting a bargain.”

“By the way, what are the effects of the Nero No. 2 and Nero No. 3 Potions?”

Locke explained briefly.

After hearing about the effects, Haisan remained silent for a moment before speaking, “Very good, Locke. You are truly a genius in potions. The potions you developed are just to my liking.”

“I can use these two bottles of potions to make traps for them.”

“Those traps will definitely leave a deep impression on those hunter wizards. I can’t wait to see them fight each other. Locke, will there be a follow-up to this potion you developed?”

Locke said, “Hmm. Probably.”

After all, there was Shanchuanke and the Persepolis god within him.

Haisan said, “I’m looking forward to your Nero potion. Perhaps, it will also be of some use to me—to deal with the progenitor wizard.”

Locke saw him staggering along, leaning against the wall, and knew that the injuries he had sustained while being chased must have been considerable.

But the other party didn’t use the Miracle Stone; instead, he gave it to him in exchange for an enhancement potion.

One reason for this was that he was only a second-circle wizard and couldn’t use the Miracle Stone, but there was likely some other consideration involved.

His magic pressure dropped to 10,000, meaning he only had one extremely powerful magic rune left. He would definitely abandon the Primal Werewolf Transformation Blood Curse and the High Treant Transformation Blood Curse, ultimately keeping the Pan God Transformation Blood Curse. This is because the Pan God Transformation Blood Curse requires three Black Sheep to perform, making it extremely precious, and it’s also the only blood curse with the potential to interfere with the Primordial Wizard.

Locke quickly assessed Hai Shan’s current strength.

The current Hai Shan was far weaker than he was during the Three Caves period. Therefore, his only chance of defeating the Night Hunters was if he voluntarily abandoned his own forms and mixed the curses into them.

It can only be said that Hai Shan truly lived up to his name.

Even in this state, he still set up such a trap, intending to steal all the runes from the Hunters in this region farthest from their main camp, in this primeval forest with severe magical interference, and thereby become a Star Ring Wizard.

Of course, it’s easier said than done.

Moreover, even if this succeeded, the side effects would be enormous.

But it seems he wants to go down an extreme path directly to the end.

This was Haishan’s choice, and every formal wizard should respect others’ choices. Therefore, Locke didn’t try to dissuade her. Instead, he took out the fishing bait the undead had given him—a purple gem.

“Haishan, this is a portal to a secret realm.

“

“You can open it by crushing it, but there are time and physical entry restrictions.”

Locke briefly explained the gem.

Haishan’s eyes widened upon hearing this, because he instantly realized that Locke had given him something that could kill two birds with one stone.

First, this thing had a very questionable origin; it was impossible to say what was inside. He might even gain some unknown inheritance, which he could then learn to counter the Primordial Wizards and Night Hunters.

Second, if he were truly in a life-or-death crisis, he could crush the gem, hide inside, and gamble on his luck.

Just like the Medea witch of the Silent Tournament did.

What he once looked down upon had now become something he had to do.

Locke said, “Let’s make an equal exchange, Haishan. I think this treasure is worth at least ten to fifteen million magic stones.”

Haishan smiled, “Your assessment of its value is very fair.”

“But I’m penniless right now. I spent all my money while running away.”

Locke was silent for a moment.

He thought he could finally sell this thing, but he didn’t expect it to turn out like this.

However, Haishan was indeed often hunted down.

Haishan thought for a moment, “Can I exchange this Star Ring Magic Plant with you? It’s also a legacy left by the Ancestral Wizard. I think it might be a clue to something, so I’m still keeping it. But I’m really interested in the Secret Realm Orb you have; it’s a treasure I desperately need right now. This is the Star Ring Magic Plant: Wang Bu Liu Xing.”

Locke looked at the magic plant and instantly recognized it from its hairless herbaceous appearance. It should be a type of carnation magic plant.

Carnation magic plants all look like flowering bamboo among grasses.

The magical plant before him had leaves as green as bamboo leaves, but what made it even more unusual was its pinkish-green flowers, which resembled an ink painting. In fact, this *Vaccaria segetalis* truly resembled a plant in a painting, its edges like water-washed outlines, seemingly out of place with its surroundings, appearing blurred.

It was like a flower and grass painted with ink.

As Locke’s magic approached it, he found that his magic would dissipate from his palm, turning into a stream surrounding the magical plant.

Locke looked at the magical plant with great interest.

“It can actually turn my magic into a river. Such powerful energy must have a corresponding mystical meaning.

However, I need to study it carefully to know the specifics.”

“Yes, I’m also very interested in this magical plant. Did you get this from the magical ruins of the ancestral wizard? That old guy has quite a few good things.”

Haishan paused, “Old man?”

“Then let’s make an exchange. It would be best if you could figure it out. I don’t know much about this magical plant; I only know from records that it was obtained by the Ancestral Wizard from a great world.” “

The Ancestral Wizard said it also contains a small secret he hasn’t had time to decipher yet. But what’s a small secret to a Throne Wizard is nothing to us.”

Locke completed the exchange with him.

Haishan clutched the bead in her hand, enduring the pain, and said, “Locke, I see you’ve also entered this forest. Wizards who can enter this forest probably all want to escape the entanglements of certain forces.”

Locke, using a Focusing Monocle, played with the [Wang Bu Liu Xing] in his hand, confirming that the reason it looked like a flower in a traditional Chinese ink painting was because its flowers could capture the magical energy flowing in the surrounding air and transform it into flowing magical water, thus causing this appearance.

However, the specifics would only be known after further research.

Locke said to Haishan, “My situation is different from yours. The people chasing me probably just want me to stay along the Tianjiang River. If I turn back now, they’ll probably go back on their own. But I can’t turn back for their sake right now.”

“So, I borrowed your pursuers, Haishan, to entangle my pursuers for a bit.”

“But I didn’t expect this forest to be your hunting ground. Haishan, I hope I haven’t disrupted your plans.”

Haishan’s eyes widened.

“The runes on hunters killed by outsiders fall to the ground and converge on the nearest hunter, or are picked up by the hunter. So even if outsiders kill all the hunters, it doesn’t matter to me. As long as one survives in the end. Because there must be one survivor so that I can become the prey, kill the hunters, and convert the enchanted runes on my body into hunter runes. But what did you do?”

Locke laughed, “The moment I saw the spirit macro on your body, I sensed that among those chasing you was someone who didn’t use their eyes to see, but relied on the spirit macro to capture their target.” “

Such an existence—I’ve encountered one before. For guys who rely solely on advanced senses and abandon their eyes, they are actually quite easy to deal with.”

In the primeval forest, the young chieftain of the Dark Night Hunter Clan, with a white cloth wrapped around his eyes, used his mind’s eye to confirm the approximate location of the surrounding enemies, and used his hunter’s hand on his left hand to lock onto the spirit macro, confirming the enemy’s position.

And before him and his clansmen was the Dragon Net of Death led by the Dragon Lich.

As the Dragon Lich entered the forest, he encountered Hai Shan. The Dragon Lich sensed Hai Shan was someone important, seemingly connected to the Pale Pilgrimage, and was about to recruit her when, suddenly, Hai Shan’s clone exploded—

leaving the Dragon Lich with numerous scattered forms.

He immediately felt a pang of regret and used necromancy to try and gather the scattered forms and soul fragments, only to discover a hidden potion injection spell and a wisp of name potion within.

He was struck.

The Dragon Lich realized it was a trap, but he quickly understood that it had no effect on him.

Before the Dragon Lich could react, the young chieftain of the Night Hunters arrived with his people.

The Dragon Lich glared displeased at the group of “weak” individuals before him.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t know the people you’re talking about.

Besides, you living beings are very weak.”

“Be careful, take your troops and leave here quickly, or I will kill you.”

“You are not the people I’m looking for, nor are you the substance I’m looking for, it’s all meaningless. Every moment I talk to you is consuming my eternal life and wasting my eternal time.”

The Night Hunters whispered among themselves.

The young patriarch’s sister whispered to her brother, “That’s a legion of dark wizards made up of liches and skeletons. But the wizard who suddenly broke into our Night Hunter Game, he didn’t use a blood curse, yet he can transform into a vampire demon, right? I think they seem to be in cahoots, or at most, it’s infighting among them.”

“Brother, we must be careful. There’s a Star Ring Archmage on the other side,”

the young patriarch said. “But I’m sure the enchanted runes I left on Haishan are on that lich right now. What’s wrong with a Star Ring Archmage? We brought our clan’s sacred artifact, the Night Holy Sword, with us this time.”

The young patriarch took out an enchanted rune greatsword from his astral ring. He held the greatsword, and three magic orbs automatically floated around him.

The Dark Night Holy Sword, the supreme weapon of the Dark Night Hunter clan of enchanters, was the creation of a genius wizard from that clan a thousand years ago. As a single weapon, it possesses seventeen layers of enchantments, each a high-quality enchantment array, the number of enchantment layers rivaling that of a Void Warship.

This is the enchantment level of a Void Warship.

This demonstrates the sword’s immense power.

Wielding the Dark Night Holy Sword, his magical pressure surged continuously. In the wizarding world, few things can help a wizard challenge opponents of higher levels, but this sword is one of them.

Because this was a Void Battleship-level enchantment array, a strategic asset in principle, the young patriarch wielding the Dark Night Holy Sword was experiencing a surge in magical pressure. He was also chanting incantations, imbuing his body with a host of enchantments targeting the undead—

[Necromantic Retreat Enchantment],

[Life Light Enchantment],

[Necromantic Lethal Enchantment]

, [Double Strike Enchantment],

[Necromantic Damage Reduction Enchantment],

[Mana Drain Enchantment].

Under these enhancements, a luminous tail appeared behind the young patriarch of the Dark Night Hunter clan. This tail, composed of ribbons, was the result of his six-fold complete enchantment array on his body, the enchanted energy forming a magical tail.

The Dragon Lich, witnessing this, grew serious.

“What a blind fool. We undead don’t have eyes, and neither do you? Open your eyes and look around. What do we have to do with these so-called wizards?”

The Dragon Lich felt a rare sense of being taken advantage of.

He genuinely had no intention of fighting these living beings.

After all, his primary goal was to prevent Locke from leaving the Tianjiang Riverbank and to drag Golden Crown Mountain into the muddy waters, making the water as murky as possible during the funding application phase.

The young patriarch flicked his wrist, sending an enchanted chain flying that landed on the dragon lich.

This was a magic absorption enchantment.

At this moment, the dragon lich’s magic power was being continuously plundered by the young patriarch.

The dragon lich immediately sensed a familiar feeling—this was a form of plunder.

These hunters were actually plundering their undead forms.

Truly, this was going against the natural order!

The dragon lich said, “Fine, it seems there’s no way to avoid it. You bunch of warmongering madmen.”

At this moment, inside the cave where Locke and Haishan were, Locke sensed a powerful magical pressure emerging from the deepest darkness of the cave, rapidly approaching them. Just

as he was about to react, a skull rolled out from the darkness.

Locke looked at the skull strangely, then at the Dark Evil King’s avatar emerging from the darkness.

Locke said, “Great Evil King, we meet again. Did you enter the wizarding world using your Sun Ring avatar? This undead—

is—a gift from you?”

The Dark Evil King sneered, “Boy. I won’t forget the humiliation you gave me. Just a low-ring wizard; I only let you have your way because I wanted to give you a little leeway. As for this undead, you two were too careless. After becoming invisible, he secretly circled behind you, and you didn’t even notice.”

“If it weren’t for me, you would probably be injured,”

Haishan said, looking at Locke.

“Is this your friend?”

The Dark Evil King sneered at Locke.

“I am a friend of his teacher. A few days ago, the Red Dragon Throne brought fine wine into my Dark World, oh, and she also brought some other wizards, the five-colored dragon wizards of your Golden Crown Mountain. After that, I felt that it was better to resolve enmity than to perpetuate it, and after some friendly exchanges, we finally understood this.”

“After careful consideration and—after that, I decided to form an alliance with Golden Crown Mountain.”

“Anyway, when I was waging war with Golden Crown Mountain, none of the other Dark Lords in the Dark World came to my aid.”

The Dark Evil King said, “See, this is what it means to rely on yourself rather than others.”

“They were unkind to me, so I don’t need to be kind to them. Now I am an ally of Golden Crown Mountain, so Wizard Trajan specially returned my Sorrowful Flower to us, and we recently launched an attack on the territories of other Great Lords. What a wonderful interaction! I should have allied with wizards long ago; what’s the point of allying with that bunch of weaklings all day?”

The Dark Evil King sneered at Locke, “But I’m not done with you and me.”

“Come with me.”

“The Red Dragon Witch asked me to lead you out of this primeval forest.”

Locke finally understood. Good heavens, the Dark Evil King who had fought tooth and nail with him before was now a vassal of Golden Crown Mountain under his teacher’s power?

Had he been beaten into submission?

Meanwhile, Haishan looked at Locke with envy. Compared to Locke, his situation was utterly miserable
