The Star Knight - 16. Chapter Sixteen
The tour bus was actually driven by human hands, and the world was completely dark. The tour bus shuttled back and forth in the lightning, sometimes flying in the air, sometimes landing in the air, like a fish.
However, the people in the car were badly hit by the bumps, especially for the opal that arrived at the first time.
When the car stopped at the end, Opal’s face was pale and almost vomiting.
“I wish you a long life!” the driver shouted: “Arrive at your destination safely!”
Opal didn’t even know where he was. He only saw a gray central square. The house was very old. When they walked to the edge of the platform, the mercenaries went out from there, so Opal followed the crowd.
On the opposite side of the gray-black street is a retro-style building, only three or four stories high. In the distance, there is an upright alloy lightning rod, spreading out thousands of branches, shining in the lightning, attracting people from all directions, heaven and earth. The violent thunder and lightning, like a towering thunder tree, formed a spectacular spectacle.
“Excuse me…Huh?” Opal suddenly found that there was no one left in an instant.
The mercenaries didn’t know where they were going, and they walked cleanly. The vehicles drove off one after another. Opal understood that these were the vehicles of the mercenary union.
And he doesn’t have a car!
In less than five minutes, there were only two people left on the street: Opal and the black windbreaker.
“Hello.” Opal is almost certain that he is no longer a mercenary.
The black windbreaker was bumped all the way, his face was not very good, and he nodded.
It was raining heavily outside, Opal walked to the sheltered building, the door was closed tightly, the temperature dropped, Opal stretched out his hand and said in the thunder: “Are you here alone?! Make a friend!”
The black windbreaker looked at him for a moment, and said with caution and politely: “Let’s think of a way to get out of here.”
Lightning flashed through the ceiling, and the opal probe looked out at the long street, and the outside was empty.
“I said, man.” Opal said, “Do you know where there is a hotel?”
The black windbreaker held a metal pipe in his mouth, the smoke dispersed, and waved his hand: “I am also a foreigner, I don’t know.”
“My name is Opal.” Opal said: “How about you?”
The black trench coat did not answer.
Suddenly someone outside the door shouted: “Are you in a car?”
Opal immediately said: “Wait! Great!”
He ran out of the street in the rain and asked: “Does it cost anything?” The two met, and Opal was taken aback, and found that it was the young man in the airport who was going to pit himself for three thousand by washing a spaceship-Xun.
Xun said loudly: “Of course! Where to go? One hundred yuan to get in the car!”
Opal said: “Do you know where there is a hotel?”
Quickly replied: “Take you there! Add another twenty!”
Opal didn’t want to be pitted by this guy even if it was raining, and said, “Forget it, it’s too expensive!”
Since he is here anyway, it proves that occasionally there will be cars passing by.
Xun said loudly: “It’s a magnetic storm outside–! You fucking hillbilly, wait to squat here for three days!” Bi Ceng said and drove away.
Opal made a roll gesture and returned to the gate of the mercenary union. There were no more cars passing by on the long street.
After nearly an hour, the car drove back and said quickly: “Get in the car! You can’t wait! There are no taxis now!”
Opal reluctantly got in the car, gave up a position, looked sideways at the tall man in the black trench coat at the door of the mercenary union, with a questioning look in his eyes.
“Get in the car!” Xun yelled at him, “Are you fucking pretending to be cool there?! Don’t leave and wait to be struck by lightning!”
The man put away his cigarette, crossed the mechanical axe when he got into the car, and said “Thank you.”
As soon as his tall figure squeezed in, the carriage immediately looked very narrow.
Xun drove a broken car and cursed, Opal said, “Can you be quiet? What the hell do you do? Drive a taxi or wash a spaceship?”
Xun said in a bad mood: “Do everything, just do it when you make money.”
Opal said casually: “You won’t sell us to a messy place.”
Xun said: “As long as I give the money, I still have principles, understand?”
Opal said: “Your principle is money.”
Quickly replied: “Yes, it’s here, I wish you a long life, pay the bill.”
The car only drove for less than three minutes, and it stopped in a small alley. The alley was filled with small bars and lodging shops, with colorful lights flashing.
Opalsha then exploded and roared: “There are only two streets!”
Xun said: “Two streets are also roads, give me money.”
Opal really had nothing to say, he was unfamiliar with the place of his life, and a slightly good impression of the planet that he had built up, immediately disappeared completely under the rapid corruption.
Opal took out his card and said, “I paid for him.”
Xun said: “One hundred and two per person.”
The black-clothed man held his weapon in one hand and said, “You didn’t ask for money just now. I thought I got on the car for free.”
Opal Sana felt a bit of murderous aura, what does the man in black want to do? Want to fight? !
Xun was not afraid of him at all, and said: “The tavern is full of mercenaries. As long as I shout, someone will come out immediately, strangers, don’t want to be wild in the country of mercenaries.”
For an instant Opal hardly saw the man in black moving, and the mechanical axe had been placed on Xun’s neck. Opal couldn’t even tell how he did it. In this small space, how could it be possible to turn a one and a half meter long axe handle? !
“I’m sure I can cut off your head before you call it out.” The black-clothed man said casually: “If you are acquainted, open the car door.”
Staring at him coldly, Opal suddenly felt gloating in his heart, and immediately thought he was wrong, what if this man really did it? !
The boy was very stubborn, and Opal almost had a hunch that blood would really splash the carriage next, and immediately said: “Forget it, open the door, and I’ll give you the money.”
The door opened, and the man in black took the axe and got out of the car. Opal said, “Here is one hundred and two. Don’t be so stubborn in the future.”
He stared at the man in black quickly and said: “You fucking wait for the little master!”
Without looking back, the man in black entered the only lodging shop in Bar Street.
Opal swiped the card and quickly said, “Hey!”
Opal said: “What do you want to do!”
Xun scolded an swear word and said, “Hillboy, remember to tell the boss that Xun brought you here!”
Opal entered the store to stay. The space inside was unexpectedly spacious and clean. He put down things while looking around, and said to the boss: “Bring me here quickly.”
There was a pool of water on the carpet at the front desk. The boss sat at the bar and watched a holographic TV show. He said, “I’ll give you a 20% discount. You’re from an alien planet? You stay 24 hours a day. There is hot water and ID cards are used for registration.”
Opal gave him the card, and the boss didn’t even look at it. He replied, “The second room on the left hand on the third floor. The meal is at the Cuckoo Bird restaurant opposite, and I pay by myself.”
Opal asked: “When will the union open?”
The boss glanced at him squintingly, looked at him, and said, “Are you new here, aren’t you here to find someone?”
Opal said: “As a mercenary.”
The boss casually said: “On the new Monday, go to the trade union consultation office. Our calendar here is 72 hours a day, 14 days a week. Two weeks, no months, and no use of the cosmic annual calendar formulated by the Star Alliance, I wish you a habit and a long life.”
Opal was carrying a bag to go upstairs, then suddenly turned around and asked, “Is it the greeting here to wish you a long life?”
The boss said: “The only wish of the mercenaries is not to live a long life? Of course, this is just a false indication. You can replace the hundred years with a thousand years or a long life.”
Opal couldn’t laugh or cry, went up the stairs to the third floor, saw the water marks left by the black windbreaker in the corridor, and opened the door into the room.
There are hardly any facilities inside, only a big bed. Opal is already tired to death. Go into the bathroom. There is the same bathing equipment as on the spacecraft. After pressing the button, the anti-gravity system rolls the water to form a floating vortex, massages and washes it. The whole body, Opal took a bath and was comfortable, lying on the big bed, suddenly there was a strange feeling of loneliness.
E7 came out of the backpack and climbed onto the cabinet against the metal bedside table. Opal said, “I will sleep, E7.”
He fumbled left and right on the bed, could not find the light button, and finally said loudly: “Turn off the light!”
The room was plunged into darkness, and the curtains were close together to block the lightning and thunder outside the window. The sound insulation effect was very good, and the world fell into silence.
The tired Opal slept his first night in Liexing.
Ten hours later, it was still dark, Opal got up to wash, tidy up his messy hair, and opened the door to go out to eat.
The magnetic storm was still raging outside. Opal blew the rain across the alley. There were a lot fewer mercenaries in the pub and restaurant. He glanced at the menu and ordered a set meal-Liexing Specialty Dick Beef Steak and Iris Wine .
The food supply here is transported from two other planets. An agricultural star with a diameter of about 200,000 kilometers, which is larger than the fierce star, is responsible for planting and cultivating all crops, while the other mineral star is very small. Mainly for energy and industry, factories on the planet are working day and night, producing industrial consumables for mercenaries-including alloys and spacecraft maintenance materials.
The energy on the main star is the large lightning rods seen by Opal. They collect the energy of the magnetic storm twice a week and convert it into electric energy in the battery for the whole star to use.
“I wish you a long life.” The waitress put the plate in front of the opal.
Opal said: “Thank you, and wish you eternal youth.”
When the waitress returned to the bar, she smiled, with a girl’s crimson on her face, she lowered her head to wipe a cup.
Opal eats meat steaks while looking up at a three-dimensional image. The projection behind the bar shows the Republic’s space TV. Inside it is a news about a small spacecraft suppressing civilian riots on a certain planet.
“Do you mind if I change the station?” the waiter asked with a smile.
Opal said: “Oh of course don’t mind, please.”
The waitress switched to the entertainment station, and there was a beautiful man in military uniform singing. He could hear his singing opal and it was the opera prince Ledgerson.
She looked at Ledgerson on the projection in fascination, with an intoxicated girl smile on the corner of her mouth. The opera prince is handsome and beautiful, and the singing voice is more hypnotic. The neutral and beautiful face is matched with the British imperial uniform.
“He is more beautiful than a woman.” The waitress smiled.
“Yes.” Opal’s gaze was almost reluctant to move away from the projection, and his singing naturally flowed in his ears, as if it could arouse something in my heart… What was that feeling?
A resonance of the soul is not sung to the ears, but to the soul.
“Youth is a short-lived dream. When you wake up, it has long since disappeared…”
A tumult started Opal’s attention. He cast his gaze on the street outside the restaurant. A black shadow jumped to the ground, and then swept past like a wind. When he passed by, he glanced sideways into the restaurant.
In a glimpse, Opal recognized that he was the man in the black trench coat who was in the same car with him yesterday.
What is he doing? !
Then another car followed, chasing the man, and Xun shouted in a loud voice: “Don’t let him run away!”
Fighting? Quickly brought people to seek revenge. As expected yesterday, several mercenaries chased the man in the black trench coat. Opal immediately grabbed the drink, rushed out of the restaurant, and shouted, “Hey! Wait!”
The five mercenaries swiftly chased the man in the black trench coat and rushed out of the street. The man in the black trench coat ran into a narrow path, and there was nowhere to go behind him.
Quickly yelled, holding a live iron rod, and the other mercenaries each held their weapons and stared at the man. A fight is inevitable.
Six to one, Opal was on the other side of the alley, and five mercenaries stopped behind and said, “What’s wrong?”
“Don’t be nosy!” Xun said impatiently: “Otherwise, even fight with you!”
Not to mention, it’s okay. When I say that Opal was immediately aroused by rebellious psychology, it doesn’t matter if there are more people and less people, so arrogant? He couldn’t help but want to help the man in the black windbreaker, and immediately backhanded out the mechanical sword behind him.
“Oh.” Xun turned around and said mockingly: “Do you want to do it too?”
Opal said: “Don’t bully outsiders.”
As soon as he said, the five mercenaries behind him all laughed, and said quickly: “I haven’t settled your account for what happened that day. It came just right, and we beaten it together!”
The man in the black windbreaker looked at the opal, his arms folded behind his waist, his hands interlaced, holding the long-handled axe steadily, and coldly said: “What’s your name?”
After opal finished his drink, he threw the cup away, and the big sword lay on the ground obliquely, holding the hilt in both hands and inverted.
A thunderstorm struck across the zenith, reflecting the eight wet people in the alley. Opal said: “My name is Opal.”
“My name is Raymond.” The man in black said, “How many can you solve?”
Opal tilted his neck and said, “Leave it to me, you go.”
“Don’t talk nonsense! Do it!” Xun roared angrily.
Eight people are doing it almost at the same time! The rain falling from the sky was condensed in the air, shining with the white light of thunder and lightning, and Raymond’s long-handled axe swept across, splashing broken water droplets on the axe blade.
The five mercenaries were divided into two teams, one team contained Opal, and the other team rushed towards Raymond!
At the same second, Opal raised his great sword, and there was a loud noise, which stuck to the flashing long stick in Xun’s hand. His brawn strength was extremely strong. As soon as he bumped into it, Xun Deng yelled and was side by Opal. He hit his shoulder and flew straight out.
Opal left his hand, only knocked his weapon away and stopped pursuing him. Another mercenary realized that this man was not easy to provoke, and his backhand showed his wrist shield, and he slammed his arm towards Opal with a loud shout!
Shield hit! Opal didn’t dare to be hard when encountering this kind of move for the first time. He pulled back and held the sword to block it. After a few strokes, the alloy shield had a narrow force surface and collided with his body.
On the other side, Raymond screamed, and the axe handle swept away. The axe blade and the long handle had both slashing strength and the power of a long stick to force the other three mercenaries away. The shield of the mercenary was dragged backwards, and he threw the shield to his companion! Another blast of thunder sounded, Opal and Raymond stood side by side, cooperated with each other, each deployed weapons, and brought down all the provoked people.
Raymond put away the long-handled axe, and was about to say something, electronic sounds rang from all directions.
“Let down your weapons.”
“The urban brawl violated Article 117 of the Fiery Star Law, immediately put down your weapons…”
The disk robots on the ground came around, more and more there were dozens of them, the opal’s color changed, and Raymond immediately said, “Run!”
Opal: “…”
Raymond turned and rushed out of the street, followed by Opal, with a strong gravity coefficient. After a fierce battle before, when he ran, he was a little out of breath.
Opal: “Where to run?”
Raymond: “Here!”
“Warning, warning. Don’t make senseless resistance.”
The disk robot quickly chased up, an electric arc flew out, and the electricity made Opal cried and called his mother. Raymond rushed up the steps of a building, swept across the long-handled axe, and the loud bang swept out a shock wave. The two-story glass windows were broken into powder and sprayed inward.
Opal: “You!”
Raymond dragged him, and the two leaped into the house, crashed and knocked over a piece, and then rushed out from another window. When the Opal landed, there was a little twitching, and then they shouted: “Be careful!”
The two lowered their heads, opal ran across the sword, sucked the arc shot by the disk robot, and slapped towards the ground. An electric light ran across the long street with water, covering the whole street.
Raymond said: “This way!” He said without looking, he cut open the back door across the street, stepped in, closed the door, and the two stumbled across the corridor and entered a hall.
The lights came on, and hundreds of disk robots entered through the windows, doors, and skylights on the roof, impermeably surrounding the entire hall.
“Immediately put down your weapons! You have violated the law and order!” A serious voice sounded.
“Huh…huh…” Opal was exhausted.
Raymond was speechless, so he had to put down his long-handled axe, Opal threw the sword, and fell on the chair in the hall, panting.
“I’m so courageous, I actually ran into the mercenary union.” The policeman appeared and said coldly, “Raise your hands!”
Opal then noticed that the two were panicking and rushed into the mercenary union office.
Three hours later, Liexing Police Station 179 Division, Detention Department.
Police: “Name.”
Opal: “Opal.”
Police: “Identity.”
Opal: “Chiyan Galaxy, Technical Consultant of Holens Mining Company.”
Police: “What did you come here for?”
Opal: “Be a mercenary.”
The police looked up at him, and Opal said: “I am innocent. They fought openly on the street, hitting one out of six…”
The policeman said: “You don’t need to be wordy, we have a robot video.”
Opal said: “When can I go out?”
The police ignored him and got up and left after recording his confession.
So Opal began to squat in the classroom. There were not many people in Liexing’s detention center, and the law and order was still very good. The locals basically did not make troubles. If some, they went to foreign planets to solve their grievances privately. Rarely, they arrested two foreign visitors. . Three meals were served as usual, and the food was good, with TV watching, a small bed, and a bathroom.
Opal looked up at the projection TV. It was a speech by the mercenary king Azeroth. He looked like a middle-aged uncle with a full face and a beard, but his eyes were very gentle and pure.
I don’t know how long it took. Opal was half asleep in the prison. The police came over and said, “Hey, you can go out.”
Opal said: “Let me go?”
The police said: “Your plot is relatively minor, and you will be fined 1,000 Lithuanian coins. Be careful in the future and stop participating in street fights. You will know the rules after you stay here for a long time.”
Opal said: “Where is my friend?”
The policeman said casually: “He has gone, fined 10,000 Lie’s coins and temporarily released on bail.”
Opal walked out of the police station. The sky was clear, and the shallow water on the street had also retreated. There were mercenaries’ public cars everywhere. When they came, they were escorted into police cars. When they returned, they had to find their own way. After watching the platform for a long time, the bus only runs for half an hour. Opal waited for a long time to get on the bus, and he was the only person in the bus.
As long as the registered mercenaries on Liexing can take the transportation provided by the trade union, the benefits and treatment are very good. In contrast, the tax drawn from the commission is also a lot.
He went back to the hotel to clean up for a while, and went out with E7 and a backpack. The boss asked, “Do you want to close the room?”
Opal said: “No, keep it for now, maybe you have to come back.”
The boss was still watching TV and said, “After you sign up, I will arrange accommodation for you. I wish you a long life.”
Opal thought about it, so he settled the house and asked: “Where is Raymond?”
“The tall man?” the boss said, “I left in the morning.”
Opal got out of the house and took the car to the main street. The city was called Sunlight City. After the magnetic storm, the sky was clear and cloudless, and the sun was warm. It did have a bright sun, and the road was planted with the characteristics of burning stars. Plant iris, a few fluffy strange creatures burrowing around on the side of the road.
There are people everywhere in the branches of the Sunlight City Mercenary Trade Union. The glass windows that were broken by Raymond have been repaired. The first working cycle after the magnetic storm has begun. Almost all the city leaders have come to inquire about new commissions. Task.
There are task forms on the high wall in the hall, countless tasks are flying around, projected fonts and induction screens are shuttled above the boiling crowd, opals squeezed in, it is dazzling.
“Star Airlines’ train is late. We have completed this task before the deadline!!!” A mercenary leader clamored at the information desk.
The interrogator was a woman, and said impatiently: “What can I do! This is none of our business, and the settlement will not be allowed over there when it expires! Go away!”
“Listen to me…”
“Delin! I’m not afraid of you!” The receptionist was even more sturdy than the head of the group: “If you have any questions, talk to the chairman! Don’t squeeze here!”
Opal said: “I… Excuse me.”
“What’s the matter?” The receptionist said: “I don’t accept the overdue entrustment here. I go to the chairman of the trade union branch myself… I don’t seem to have seen you before? New here?”
Opal said: “I’m here to sign up as a mercenary.”
The receptionist said: “Go up the stairs on the left hand, and find the director at the registration office for new members on the third floor.”
Opal followed the sign to the third floor and entered an office. Behind the desk was a green Mercury man who was not awake. The tentacles above his head were drooping. The eyes on the tentacles were sleepy, and the eyelids were united.
“excuse me……”
“Ah.” The clerk said: “The newcomer, there have been no newcomers for a long time, and they all said that there is going to be a war. No one is running towards us. Let me see, what is your name, child?”
Opal said: “I… called Opal.”
“I’m over six hundred years old.” The clerk sat up straight, opened the drawer with one hand, took out a credit card reader with the other, held the electronic seal in the third hand, and beckoned him with the fourth hand, and said: ” Come here, um, you are a human being, and you look exactly like people in the Republic…” He muttered again: “It’s rare to come to a newcomer. Please sign up first. Look at the regulations. Do you know the characters? If you don’t know, you can use the following audio reading …”
A light screen flew towards Opal, above it was the Code of Mercenary Country, which was close to 20,000 words.
Including the treaties and responsibilities that need to be observed after joining a mercenary trade union: it is not allowed to harm any client, otherwise the sentence will be sentenced according to the severity of the circumstances, and the maximum sentence may be death.
Mercenaries must abide by the law of the fiery star when performing tasks on the local planet, and the default is to abide by the laws of the star and the union law of the star alliance when performing missions on the alien planet. Any responsibility.
After joining, you will enjoy all the benefits of Interstellar registered mercenaries, including but not limited to transportation subsidies, room and board allowances and discounts, discounts on hardware maintenance costs such as weapons and spacecraft, medical insurance and pensions.
Opal looked at it and said, “Is there another newcomer?”
The clerk’s eyes on the antennae did not blink, staring at him, and said: “He passed the test and received the official registration documents. He has gone to the lobby on the second floor to look for a job.”
Opal said: “Maybe I can form a group with him.”
“Oh, I don’t think so.” The clerk said: “You don’t seem to have any actual combat experience. Don’t blame me for not reminding you. This is an offensive errand. You obviously… I mean, you’d better sign up for the training first. It only takes sixty days. And I don’t think you are used to it here.”
Pulled under the Opal North Korea Treaty and asked: “What does the training include?”
“Some experience about fighting and dealing with emergencies.” The clerk said: “There are also a small amount of spacecraft maintenance, plant and biological identification, telling you what is dangerous and not to touch, lest you rashly…you are a new achievement No more new recruits, if you don’t train, maybe this will be the last we have seen.”
Opal: “…”
Opal said: “You think of me too weakly.”
The clerk said: “No, no, do you know why they arranged me to sit in this office? Of course there is a reason. We Green Mercury people can accurately judge who is the strong, who is the weak, who is born to fight, and who should go home. go.”
Opal’s expression is a bit stiff, and I have to admit that this clerk still has some eyesight. The green Mercury’s tentacles go around on top of his head, turn around for a while, and then curiously look at him with the eyes on the tentacles. He is totally uncomfortable.
“You have a good foundation.” The clerk said: “But you don’t have much actual combat experience. Think about it, my child. The training cost for 60 days is only three thousand yuan.”
Opal took a deep breath and said, “I can find a job after the training?”
“Don’t be impetuous, young man.” The clerk said, “It obviously depends on your luck, but I believe you are fine. Even if you fail the exam, this will be an unforgettable experience in your life, right?”
Opal nodded slowly, decided to follow his suggestion, and said cheerfully: “I decided to participate in mercenary training, what do I need to prepare?”
The clerk said: “A lot of new recruits come every year. You get to the City of Souls of War, Azeroth… our king, no, where their king is, Soul of War is the political capital of the fiery star, in the center. The school is responsible for managing you, providing board and lodging, and a 60-day training. Are you sure you want to participate?”
Opal said: “Uh, confirm, is the new environment friendly? Is the course difficult?”
The clerk said: “The teachers are also recruits. They have a certain degree of patience. You know, there have been fewer and fewer new recruits in the past few years. Except for the homeless tramps, no one has come to Liexing. Everyone is afraid of war…We don’t accept fugitives. Swipe the card here, pay the fee, and go down to the second floor to fill in the form.”
Opal paid the fee and went down to the personnel hall on the second floor. Even the second floor was full of voices, blushing and arguing everywhere. In fact, from the first day when he came to Liexing, as long as there were a lot of people, Quarrels are everywhere. Several heads of mercenaries violently pushed their members and yelled at the clerks.
Head: “I will fire him right now!”
Clerk: “But his performance has not yet reached the point of being fired by you… His manual is very clear…”
The mercenary in the other corner shouted, “I need to find a new mercenary group! I’m so fed up with Duke! He almost threw me on Indigo Planet!”
The clerk calmly said: “But he has brought you back…”
“Why does each reorganization seem to be a divorce lawsuit!” The woman screamed.
Opal was so dizzy by the quarrel and stepped on a foot. Finally he couldn’t bear it and shouted: “Enough! Let me in!”
The surroundings fell silent and Opal glanced at them angrily. All of the mercenaries suddenly burst into laughter. Opal had a sense of humiliation being mocked, and began to tire of the planet and regretted his decision to come here.
“Hey, I’m a rookie, a rookie.” Opal said in a bad mood: “I’m here to sign up, the gentleman on the third floor asked me to come here…”
The female clerk smiled and said, “Welcome, newcomer, you will fall in love here.”
Opal said: “At the moment it seems to be terrible.”
The heads of the mercenary regiments scattered behind one after another, and the voice rang again. The female clerk said, “I promise you will treat Liexing as your new home. Let me see… Need training, um, give you a stamp. I wish you success in passing the training assessment.”
Opal looked around and said, “What is this place for?”
“Your information will be kept on file in the personnel department and updated at any time with your performance in the training school.” The female clerk said: “In the past sixty days, there may be a delegation leader who has come to see you and lead you to it. go home.”
Opal said blankly: “Oh, this is great, I am looking forward to it.”
The clerk smiled and said: “Don’t be stubborn, the weather is very good today, go back to the director of Coco on the third floor, he will be responsible for sending you to the city of war spirits… I said you guys! Don’t fight there! Stop it! ”
Opal squeezed out of a group of barbaric mercenaries with a sullen head and a mess of clothes. Standing in the corner of the personnel hall, he breathed a sigh of relief and found that Raymond was standing opposite the crowd.
“Raymond!” Opal yelled at him.
Raymond turned his head to look at him, only glanced at him, then ignored him.
For the first time in his life, Opal has encountered such a personality. As if he was a thousand miles away, he had to shrug his shoulders boredly and return to the third floor.
With all the documents in place, Opal lifted up a thin object and asked: “What is this?”
The clerk said: “This is’paper’, the oldest thing used to record information 20,000 years ago.”
Opal said: “Information written on it?”
The clerk said: “Of course, a lot of improvements have been made. This kind of thing will not fade, will not be burned, and will not rot. It is your eternal memorial in the country of mercenaries. Take it to the City of Battle Star to report. You sent a small car to go out the corridor of the back door, and the one parked at the door. After arriving at the training center, go to the seventeenth floor.”
Opal walked through the corridor he and Raymond ran through yesterday, walked out of the back door, and got into the only car. The car was unmanned. The car flew off the ground. The magnetic violent raging on the day I first arrived, I can only see the whole picture of Sunlight City.
There are dedicated maglev rails on the equator. There are not many vehicles passing by, and they all run fast. The rails are tens of thousands of meters above the ground, passing through broadband urban areas. The lake is quietly embedded on the ground, shining with reflections from the stars of the God of War, like a sapphire.
The fiery stars spread out from the gray blue of the central equator toward both sides, and the color becomes lighter as they move toward the north and south poles, showing the whiteness of snow and ice.
The dish-shaped car ascended the track, flew to the central city, the city of the souls of war, and stopped at the top of a building.
The City of Souls of War is very different from the City of Sunlight. Each city seems to have its own characteristics. The City of Sunlight is retro while the City of Souls is technological.
There is only one direct elevator at the top of the building. Opal went to the 17th floor and handed in the registration form to start his training life.
