Chapter 6: Zhong Yin

There is only one Zhong Yin in the world, a peerless divine swordsman who has reigned supreme for millennia without a single defeat!

Since his first descent from the mountain twelve hundred years ago, he has wielded the divine sword “Slashing the Sky,” conquering all cultivators without a single defeat.

He slew the three Soul-Snatching Envoys of the Zhu Gou Sect, shattered the Seven Nether Star Formation of the Pluto Sect, challenged the four demonic swords of the Heavenly Demon Sword Sect, battled the evil master Mr. Ghost, and infiltrated the Xinghe, one of the Six Forbidden Lands… For thousands of years, no one in the Tongxuan Realm has matched his feats!

Most notably, he is the only one to have defeated all three of the Tongxuan Realm’s wandering masters. Of course, the most iconic event is his single-handed assault into the No Return Realm a thousand years ago, forcing the Jade Wanderer to flee thousands of miles.

All of these combined have cemented Zhong Yin’s immense reputation.

He is undoubtedly the undisputed idol of all disciples of the Mingxin Sword Sect, even Li Xun himself.

Even so, Li Xun would never want to see him at this moment!

According to legend, Zhong Yin could have ascended to heaven in broad daylight hundreds of years ago, but for some reason, he used his extraordinary supernatural powers to stay in this world.

Even so, he also possessed the supernatural powers of an immortal. Of course, he would not be so exaggerated as to know the future 500 years in the past and 500 years in the future. But the most famous thing about the Mingxin Sword Sect is his unparalleled ability to observe people.

With just one glance, he can uncover the most hidden corners of a person’s heart. In his eyes, the human heart has no secrets. But Li Xun is the kind of person with a lot of secrets in his heart, and the secrets he hides are mostly shameful things. How dare he meet Zhong Yin?

Even if Zhong Yin’s eyes are not as exaggerated as the legend, with his almost omnipotent cultivation, can he not see through the secrets in himself?

Blood Nightmare, Yin Fire, Nether Bright Qi, any one of them will be dead if it is revealed!

Months ago, when he met with the sect leader, Taoist Qingming, he’d already felt deeply distressed. Now, facing Zhong Yin, whose cultivation was infinitely superior, how could he possibly survive?

The more Li Xun thought about it, the more terrified he became. He even considered leaping off the clouds and escaping on his sword!

This crazy thought flashed through his mind for a moment before he lost his temper. At this moment, he also remembered what he’d just felt was deeply wrong!

“The Blood Nightmare will devour my heart! The time for the Blood Nightmare to devour my heart is approaching… How can I use the ‘Feeding the Eagle Technique’ now? And if I don’t, once the Blood Nightmare begins to devour my heart, how can I hide the abnormalities within my body?”

As soon as this thought occurred to him, his heart skipped a beat—it was over!

He closed his eyes in despair, but the unfolding situation wasn’t as dire as he’d imagined.

His heart only raced twice, and the Blood Nightmare seemed quite violent. However, the cool energy of the “Jade Evil-Repelling” lingering around his heart seemed to be having a miraculous effect!

Just like when he first put on this item, the blood nightmare and Yin Fire suddenly shrank, and then slowly recovered, and the blood nightmare that was biting the heart… where was it?

Once a day, the uncontrollable blood nightmare that was biting the heart was actually suppressed!

Li Xun didn’t know if there would be any sequelae, but he couldn’t think so far at this time. The feeling of escaping death was too wonderful, and he could only grab the jade on his chest, stunned.

“Are you so happy that you are stupid when you heard that you are going to see him?”

Qing Yin’s slow voice sounded, easily grabbing back his lost mind.

Li Xun’s body shook, and he tried to find words to respond, but because of his anxiety, his mind was in chaos.

Fortunately, Qing Yin understood his feelings, and just looked at his hand holding the “Jade Evil-Repelling” with interest: “Does your heart feel uncomfortable?”

No! “Li Xun hurriedly shook his head to deny it, but felt that it was too abrupt, so he quickly changed his statement: “My heart beat twice just now…”

He didn’t know how to describe it. What if the change just now was a reaction to an evil thing, then he would be confessing. So he froze in the middle of his words.

“It suddenly got colder, didn’t it?”

Perhaps it was because she was sitting on the clouds, Qing Yin’s smile was like the clouds under her seat, blurry and unpredictable.

Li Xun hesitated for a moment before nodding in response.

Qing Yin’s face didn’t show any strange color. She said, “This thing has the function of calming the mind. You were too excited just now. It is a basic skill for a cultivator to not be confused by external things, but it is as difficult as ascending to heaven. In the future, this jade will be like your good teacher, reminding you to calm your mind and not be surprised by honor or disgrace. You have to work harder in the future. “

Li Xun heaved a sigh of relief, knowing that he had passed this level, and hurriedly bowed in response.

While speaking, Feiyun crossed another distance and gradually slowed down.

Qingyin stood up leisurely, stood beside Feiyun, looked at the scenery below, and called Li Xun over: “Look there!”

The white and crystal-clear fingers like jade tubes led Li Xun’s gaze and cast it on a bamboo forest below.

This forest is also strange. From a distance, it was emitting a faint green light, as if it were illusory, and it was definitely not an ordinary thing in the world.

“This bamboo forest is called ‘Qingyan Barrier’. It can be regarded as a natural spiritual object. Zhong Yin lives there!”

Li Xun’s face twitched twice, and luckily Qingyin didn’t see it.

He only heard Qingyin say: “He has been out less in recent years. He has settled here for nine out of ten years. If you want to see him, just come here.”

“To see him! “Li Xun’s mind raced, thinking about how to escape this disaster, when he was suddenly pushed on the back by a force!

The force was not strong, but it just destroyed his balance and immediately pushed him off the cloud.

Li Xun screamed, but the true energy in his body surged. He wanted to do something, but the force was strange. There was still some strength left after the push, and it was not too strong, but it easily and continuously dissipated his true energy changes several times, making him unable to exert any strength, and he could only fall like a big rock!

“It’s Master Qingyin!” This thought flashed through Li Xun’s mind: “What does she want to do?”

His body rolled in the air, and he just saw the flying cloud in the sky slowly moving away, merging into the clouds in the sky, and never to be seen again.

At this time, his back had leaned against the sharp tip of the bamboo forest.

“Is it the end? “

This thought just flashed through his mind, and a strange and clear air surged up from the bottom to the top, supporting him, and the force was used very gently.

Li Xun’s body just softened, and a faint fragrance of bamboo and wood came into his mouth and nose, which was light and refreshing and refreshing.

Then his body shook slightly, and he fell to the ground, but he felt no pain or discomfort.

“What’s going on?”

He was already in the bamboo forest at this time, and he looked around, only to see that the bamboos around him were seven or eight feet high, lush and green, and round all over. The bamboo joints were slightly raised but also had a faint green light. At first glance, they looked like they were made of jade, without any touch of the mundane world.

“It is indeed a fairyland…”

Thinking of Zhong Yin’s identity, Li Xun was not surprised at all that he lived in such a place.

He tapped the bamboo gently with his fingers. It felt smooth and hard, with a cool feeling penetrating through his fingers. He tapped harder, and the clear sound of jade colliding was heard.

“I wonder what this precious bamboo is used for?”

he thought to himself as he strolled through the bamboo forest. The movement made him notice something strange.

He had already felt the incredible richness of the heaven and earth energy outside, but now, the density of the energy in the bamboo forest had become as solid as a substance. Walking here was like walking through water, always with some obstruction.

Such a concentration truly astonished Li Xun.

He now had a rough idea of why he hadn’t fallen to his death. It was precisely because the heaven and earth energy here was so dense, like a lake of invisible water. Naturally, falling from a great height would not kill him.

Although he knew Qing Yin had no ill intentions, Li Xun still didn’t understand why Qing Yin had pushed him down like that. It couldn’t be a prank, there must be some deeper meaning.

The more nervous Li Xun became, the clearer his mind became. He immediately cast aside his needless anxiety and fear, concentrating on what he would say to Zhong Yin when he met him shortly.

He had only walked a few dozen steps, and hadn’t yet fully formulated his speech, when his vision suddenly lit up—a clearing in the forest, within which stood a bamboo hut. Constructed entirely of bamboo from the forest, it was evident that, despite its small size, the details were meticulously arranged and woven, each one revealing the utmost care and attention to detail.

Outside, a table and chairs sat, along with a tea set also made of bamboo. Steam rose from the cup, suggesting a freshly brewed cup of fragrant tea.

A few steps away, a bamboo desk lay spread out on it. A figure in white stood at the desk, painting.

This figure must be Zhong Yin, but no matter how Li Xun thought about it, he had never expected to encounter him under such circumstances.

Perhaps he should be thankful that he didn’t face directly those eyes that were said to be able to see through everything. However, he was even more at a loss for what to do in such an unexpected scene.

If he hadn’t adjusted his mood just now, he would have made a fool

of himself. Now, he just stood respectfully with his

hands down, watching the other party paint. Li Xun didn’t have much attainments in painting. From his perspective, he felt that Zhong Yin was very fast at writing

. He would often draw the outline with just a slight sketch, and could finish several strokes in the blink of an eye. Zhong Yin stopped after painting only seven bamboos, leaving a large blank space on the paper. Li Xun had no idea what was going on.

Although he was not an expert, he knew that painting was most about layout. Even though painters had the method of “leaving blank space”, taking one corner and leaving another like this was a taboo for painters.

What was Zhong Yin trying to do?

Just as he was wondering, Zhong Yin suddenly raised his head.

Unprepared for the moment, he and Zhong Yin locked eyes. His mind went blank at first, but then a chill surged through his chest, piercing his head. It was like a bucket of ice water being poured over his head, bringing Li Xun to his senses instantly.

Without further hesitation, he knelt on both knees and said, “Disciple Li Xun, I pay my respects to the Immortal Master! May I ask, are you the Sixth Great-Uncle?”

Zhong Yin was of the same generation as Qingming, ranking sixth. Fearing a mistake, Li Xun had to ask a few more questions.

“I am Zhong Yin!” Zhong Yin’s voice was pleasant, slightly feminine, yet possessed a deep, unwavering intensity. “Are you a third-generation disciple? Stand up and speak!”

Li Xun stood up, still daring to look up, staring at his toes.

Zhong Yin asked, “You possess the ‘Green Jade Sword’ and the ‘Phoenix Feather Needle,’ but are you a disciple of Lin Ge, or Ming Ji?”

“My master is none other than Lord Lin!” Li Xun’s reply was somewhat courteous, a sign of nervousness. Eager to clear himself of suspicion, he added, “It was Immortal Master Qingyin who sent me here to pay my respects to my Sixth Great-Uncle…”

“Qingyin?” Zhong Yin paused, then said, “Raise your head.”

Unsure of the outcome, Li Xun raised his head apprehensively. Their eyes met again, and Li Xun, naturally overwhelmed, glanced briefly before looking away. It was then that he caught sight of Zhong Yin’s face.

Compared to his renowned reputation, it seemed rather ordinary. He

wasn’t particularly impressive, merely delicate and handsome, with subtle features, not the type to be instantly recognized.

Yet, he was incredibly tall, about a head taller than Li Xun. Standing in the bamboo forest, he stood indistinguishable from the surrounding straight bamboos, his posture unbending, unbending, and possessing a certain aloofness within his composure.

Strangely enough, standing before him, the pressure seemed less than before Qingxu and the others. At least Li Xun didn’t feel suffocated. Was

he really Zhong Yin?

The thought flashed through his mind, but he suddenly sensed a subtle shift in the other man’s expression.

“Are you… Li Xun?”

His tone was a little vague, but Li Xun didn’t dare to neglect him. He knew this face might be causing him some trouble, so he quickly defended himself, “Yes, my disciple!”

Zhong Yin shook his head slightly. “The appearance of a lonely demon?”

Li Xun chuckled dryly and replied honestly, “Master Qingxu, Master Qingyin, and others all say so!”

Then, he heard Zhong Yin sigh, and his already fragile heart was further disturbed by this sigh. At this moment, the “Jade Evil-Repelling Amulet” in his chest felt a chill, steadying his heartbeat.

Zhong Yin also changed the subject at this point: “No matter how you came, you’re here, it’s a good omen to watch me paint!”

Was this a sign of closeness?

Li Xun felt a surge of anticipation. It seemed he had passed the test. Therefore, cultivating a good relationship with this great swordsman was the most important thing now. But how could he please him after just meeting him?

He pondered this, but his feet moved obediently, reaching the desk.

Zhong Yin picked up his brush again, this time painting a few more bamboos, then a figure.

The composition became clear.

The first seven bamboos formed the foreground, while the later ones and the figure formed the background, as if from behind the bamboos, they were peering at the distant figure.

At first glance, the bamboo shadows swayed, the figure vaguely visible. Though nothing else was visible, it still evoked the sense of moonlight streaming through the bamboos, illuminating the landscape with the figure on a moonlit night.

Li Xun, no expert, found the painting strange, as if the layout had been temporarily altered. While the latter part was well-placed, his brushwork had worn thin. The contrast between the figure and the bamboo, and the subtle shift in moonlight, were clever, but the rest, strictly speaking, was mediocre.

As expected, Zhong Yin sighed, set the painting aside, switched to a new sheet of paper, and continued painting.

The next painting was much better: the bamboo shadows were staggered, with a subtle balance of light and dark. A closer look evoked a sense of pure tranquility, the bamboo and wood forming a curtain, the eye limited but the meaning boundless, as if drawing one into the painting.

Li Xun hummed a praise.

Zhong Yin stopped writing and turned to look at him: “Do you like this painting? I’ll give it to you.”

Li Xun was stunned, then overjoyed. Zhong Yin’s handwriting was very precious. Although it was not a secret sword manual, based on his reputation alone, this painting was a priceless treasure. Taking it back to decorate the house would also be a good thing.

This was an unexpected surprise.

Li Xun was not hypocritical and bowed to thank him.

Then he heard Zhong Yin say: “But I would like to hear what you think of the brushwork of this painting?”

Is this an exam? Li Xun was a little nervous. His attainments in painting were still learned from the teacher in the palace when he was a child. But he was not sure if the worldly methods would work in the Tongxuan realm. What if he made a fool

of himself? Although he was nervous, he did not hesitate. He walked to the painting and looked at it intently.

After just two strokes, he let out a light exclamation.

Zhong Yin smiled at the side: “How is it?”

Li Xun turned a deaf ear to him, but his fingers were trembling slightly. Later, he simply painted in the air, making a loud noise.

Zhong Yin was also startled, and uttered a compliment from the side, but Li Xun couldn’t hear it. His mind was now completely occupied by the painting.

How could this be some ink bamboo painting? This was clearly a set of exquisite sword techniques!

Li Xun’s sensitivity to the art of runes was extremely high, and he never neglected details such as the direction of the brushstrokes. He almost had to look at a picture and find its strength and trajectory. This is why he could see the beauty of the painting at a glance.

With his attainments, he could transcend the tangible painting and directly explore the meaning within. Although he was painting according to the brushstrokes on the surface, the true energy within him was secretly in line with the deeper meaning, operating at its own pace.

He had only read half of a painting, and his true energy was already boiling like a boiling soup, steaming like clouds, flowing smoothly along the meridians.

Later, his true energy gradually subsided, but after the previous wave of “steaming,” it condensed considerably, and in tune with his inner secrets. Its forceful passages were as sharp as a sword, piercing through several vital points one after another, darting left and right within his body with unparalleled force!

In a blink of an eye, he had already looked at the painting for the fourth time. He felt a flash of inspiration in his mind, gradually converging into one. Just as he was becoming completely engrossed, someone suddenly tapped his shoulder, causing his mind to jolt and the inspiration to dissipate, never to return.

Just one step away…

Li Xun was stunned, then furious. He turned abruptly, wanting to confront someone, but was met with Zhong Yin’s gentle, jade-like eyes.

A large basin of cold water poured down upon him, and he quickly bowed, his anger instantly dissipating.

“Don’t look any further! Such inquiries will only harm you!”

Seeing Li Xun’s bewildered expression, Zhong Yin smiled faintly, rolled up the scroll on the table, and placed it in Li Xun’s palm.

“Do you know what your biggest flaw is in your practice?”

Li Xun shook his head blankly.

“Your exploration of the principles of the Dharma is profound, and few on the mountain can compare to you. However, your perception of the situation is still very naive. You can’t balance the inner and outer aspects. You’re just sitting in meditation and waiting for death, and you will never achieve the great way. In other words, you know how to wield a sword, but you don’t know how to wield it.”

Li Xun was really confused after hearing this: “How to wield a sword, how to wield a sword, aren’t they the same thing?”

“How can they be the same? Take this painting. You know how to use the brushstrokes, how to thicken and thin, and how to change the strokes. But if you really pick up the brush, can you paint?”

“…No!”

“Although the methods of cultivation are slightly different, they can both be understood from the inside out. It’s just that you don’t understand the principles of talismans well enough, and you don’t have any foundation in external cultivation. The gap between the two is too great, and it will not benefit you at all. Do you understand?”

Li Xun was immediately convinced and bowed to thank him, “Disciple will work hard to improve his external cultivation in the future…”

Zhong Yin nodded, “That’s right! Although you have a good eye, it is biased after all. You can read the method of moving true energy from the painting, but you can’t see the corresponding method of moving limbs. When you look at it again in the future, you should carefully consider the changes in the limbs that are consistent with the true energy. Cultivating both inside and outside is the right way.”

After that, he pointed out several difficult points where mistakes might be made. Li Xun nodded continuously after hearing this, and felt that he was worthy of being the Immortal Master Zhong Yin. His explanation skills were also better than anyone else.

Whether it was Qingxu, Qingyin, Linge, or Mingji, compared to him, they all lacked that vivid, easy-to-understand clarity. Yet, beneath these straightforward words, there lay a deeper layer, a depth that required one’s own reflection.

“A conversation with you is worth ten years of reading… so that’s what it means!”

Li Xun was completely impressed and wished he could stay on this peak and listen to this man’s teachings day and night. Perhaps just this few words would save him three years of arduous training!

However, although his intention was good, Zhong Yin had no intention of keeping him.

After his explanation came to an end, he said, “…this ink bamboo painting shows a sword technique called ‘Green Smoke and Bamboo Shadows’ that I created in my spare time in recent years. It is the best way to progress from the simple to the complex, like a new bamboo shoot emerging from the ground, rising step by step!

” “I will teach you now. After we descend from the peak, give it to your master, who will guide you in further practice. You can go now, and don’t keep Qingyin waiting.”

“Master Qingyin? “Li Xun then remembered Qingyin, the one who pushed him down from the world, and he suddenly felt a little strange.

What did Qingyin want to do? Was it to push herself in front of Zhong Yin, let him take a look, and see if he could give her some advice?

He just felt that this elegant and cold immortal master was unfathomable and beyond his reach.

Speaking of Qingyin, Zhong Yin’s face changed slightly. He glanced at Li Xun again, with a pensive look on his face.

After a while, he slowly said: “Li Xun!”

“Disciple is here!”

“Your immortal master Qingyin has a weird temper. Her peers can’t do anything about her, let alone you juniors… If she does something in the future that makes you angry, please don’t take it too seriously for today’s sake!”

Li Xun’s legs softened and he half-knelt on the ground: “Disciple dare not! Immortal Master Qingyin is an elder, disciple…”

“Forget it! “Zhong Yin interrupted him, smiled slightly and turned to go into the house. Li Xun only heard his last words: “Get up, Qingyin will definitely not like your spineless appearance!”

The bamboo door was closed, and his voice was no longer heard.

Li Xun stayed on the ground, thinking for a long time before getting up, with a wry smile on his face: “If I were a hard bone, would she like me?”

This question was something he would not dare to ask even if he was beaten to death. Li Xun could only think about it in his mind and have some daydreams.

After walking hundreds of steps in the bamboo forest, Li Xun could not find the edge, but found a few naturally fallen bamboo branches. These bamboo branches were only as thick as a finger, but they were azure green, with a faint glow, and quite cool in the hand.

Li Xun tried it, and the toughness of this bamboo branch was extremely strong. Li Xun forced it to wrap around three or five times. As long as he let go, it returned to its original shape with a sound of jade. It took three consecutive sword strikes to cut off one.

This thing is not bad!

Li Xun was reluctant to put it down, so he held it in his hand and lowered his head to search to see if he could find a few more.

As for the thing growing there, he truly didn’t dare touch it. What if it was Zhong Yin’s prized possession, and he destroyed it? A single breath would blow him off Zuowang Peak!

After searching the area for a while, he found nothing. Knowing that lingering any longer would be disgraceful, Li Xun soared onto his sword. As the sword’s light pierced the bamboo forest, a clang echoed, and his body suddenly felt lighter.

How could one cultivate in a place like this?

While cultivators refine the vital energy of heaven and earth for their own use, there must be a limit. With the concentration of vital energy in a bamboo forest as tangible as matter, if one truly practiced that refinement, nine out of ten would likely go astray.

Perhaps only a semi-immortal like Zhong Yin would dare dwell here.

While he pondered this, the sword’s light swirled in the sky. Before leaving, Zhong Yin had said that Qing Yin was waiting outside. While it was possible he’d just been saying it casually, Li Xun didn’t dare take it lightly and simply circled in the sky.

God knows how arduous this task was.

When he first arrived, Qing Yin had explained that the celestial energy here fluctuated tidally over time, but Li Xun hadn’t sensed it. Now, after circling the air a few times, he finally understood the tidal shifts.

After noon, the concentration of the celestial energy began to plummet from its peak. This drop wasn’t a straight line, but rather, like the ebb of the tide, a small surge, then a large retreat, then a surge again—a complex process.

This proved difficult for Li Xun.

The art of sword control hinged on coordinating with the celestial energy. He had only practiced for a few days. In this environment of volatile celestial energy, maintaining balance was a feat, let alone maintaining stability.

He staggered and swayed, swaying in the air like a drunk, ready to fall.

Anyone else would have simply crashed to the ground, but Li Xun, rethinking things, concluded that this place, while difficult to control, was the perfect place to hone his sword skills.

Practicing for a while now is equivalent to practicing for a month at other times, so he forced himself not to stop.

His mind was completely focused on “Qingyu” at this moment, and he was so focused that he did not miss any changes in his vital energy.

After an unknown amount of time, he felt that his ability had greatly improved and the true energy in his body was almost used up, so he stopped.

When he landed on the ground, he suddenly felt something was wrong. He turned around and was stunned.

Not far away, at the edge of the bamboo forest, Qingyin sat on the ground, untied her bun, and let her black hair fall in front of her like a waterfall, slowly combing it. The scene was surprisingly similar to the scene when she was combing

her hair by the water when they first met. Both had the same indifference that ignored others, and the divine beauty that surpassed the creation of heaven and earth. The feminine charm that came from the bones flowed faintly, not obvious, but invisibly attracted people’s attention.

How could Li Xun resist!

Seeing her like this, it was unclear how long she had been sitting by the forest. Thinking of his own utter embarrassment in the air, Li Xun felt his face burn like fire, unable to even lift his head.

This was a good thing; it helped to mask his recent gaffe.

He instinctively wanted to kneel down and apologize, but Zhong Yin’s words suddenly flashed through his mind.

“Don’t you like spineless people?”

Thinking back to their previous encounters, he realized that Qing Yin really didn’t like others kneeling and bowing. If he was too pretentious, he might not gain anything.

The thought flashed through his mind before he changed his posture, simply lowering his hand in a salute: “Master, please forgive me, Immortal Master. I got carried away for a moment and have kept you waiting!”

Qing Yin didn’t even glance at him, her indifference even stronger than before. She said, “Did Zhong Yin give you that painting?”

Li Xun hurriedly took two steps forward and respectfully handed the painting over.

Qing Yin didn’t rush to take it, but slowly tied her hair into a bun before accepting the painting.

This was originally a rather disrespectful act, but on the one hand she was the elder, and on the other hand, the moment she raised her hand, she was so graceful and beautiful that Li Xun felt he could never tire of looking at her, so how could he feel uncomfortable?

With a flick of his hand, the painting was taken by Qing Yin and slowly unfolded. Upon seeing it, Qing Yin said, “This is the second one.”

Li Xun was stunned. Just by looking at his expression, Qing Yin knew that he was right.

She shook her head slightly and handed the painting back, “It is your good fortune to have this painting of green smoke and bamboo shadows. Take it and go down the mountain!”

Is that the end?

Li Xun was a little caught off guard. For a moment he just responded but forgot to move.

Qing Yin slowly stood up and ignored him, but his eyes were looking into the depths of the bamboo forest, wondering what he was thinking.

Li Xun did not dare to disturb her. After his mind turned around and he knew that he could not stay here any longer, he bowed again and retreated.

“Wait!” Qing Yin suddenly called him to stop. Li Xun looked over in shock and heard Qing Yin say, “Come here!”

Li Xun stepped forward like a puppet. Fortunately, he knew the situation and kept a distance from Qing Yin. But the following changes made him dumbfounded.

Qing Yin actually reached out and touched his face – Li Xun shuddered, his mind was in chaos. He only felt the hand on his face, with slender fingers, cool as jade. With a slight contact, a trace of desire went from his face to his heart, and finally spread throughout his body.

In a trance, he heard Qing Yin say, “…So, your appearance has changed, but there will be no such trouble!”

Appearance changed?

Li Xun’s heart skipped a beat. Before he could ask, he saw Qing Yin transformed into a water mirror and asked him to look at himself.

Li Xun was startled when he saw it. He didn’t know what had happened to the person in the mirror. Although his outline and facial features hadn’t changed, he always felt that he was different from before. His outline and appearance were only about 50% similar to his. After looking at him for a few more times, he couldn’t recognize him.

And he suddenly understood that Qing Yin’s intention in touching his face was that he looked like someone, so she changed his face in some way to avoid future troubles.

He heard Qing Yin’s instructions: “This kind of true breath transformation will naturally be solved when you reach the Nascent Soul stage… Then, you won’t be troubled by this anymore.” As she spoke, she walked a few steps along the edge of the bamboo forest. Her figure suddenly disappeared like a bubble.

Li Xun hurried forward two steps and stopped. His palm unconsciously touched the place where Qing Yin had touched, feeling the lingering fragrance, and was mesmerized for a moment.
