Chapter 1: Obtaining the Treasure

“Robbery?”

Upon hearing this, Fatty Ji’s face showed a wonderful expression. He touched his waist reflexively, but then felt that he had overreacted. He coughed dryly and grinned, “That’s not a good word. It hurts the brother’s feelings too much! Junior brother, if you feel that you are short of money, just tell me, I won’t frown!”

“Okay, Second Senior Brother is really righteous! But, there is no need to say anything else. Senior Brother has never lacked treasures. Taking them out now will save everyone trouble.”

Li Xun shook his head. Just after he said this, the scene in front of him was painted with a thick layer of blood. The fat man’s face was not clear, but the other party’s vitality pulse became clearer and clearer, like a flower-legged mosquito, full and satisfied, buzzing in front of his eyes, making people want to slap it.

The completely different feeling made Li Xun a little confused. He vaguely saw that the fat man’s face changed a little. He was staring at him straight, as if a flower was painted on his face!

Li Xun felt a surge of irritation at this. “Did you even hear me?”

The thought struck him, and his fist slammed into Fatty Ji’s greasy belly. Seeing him double over with a groan, he felt a surge of relief.

Laughing heartily, Li Xun’s left hand clasped Fatty Ji’s shoulders, while his right hand swiftly reached into his arms.

“Since Senior Brother is so generous, I won’t be polite either. Tsk tsk, Second Senior Brother is truly wealthy.”

As he spoke, his hands kept moving, pulling out at least seven or eight small objects of varying shapes. Most of them shimmered with precious gems, clearly no ordinary finds. A quick glance revealed the Black Silk Clam treasure among them.

Li Xun didn’t hesitate, waving his hand, his sleeves billowing as he collected all the treasures. Suddenly, he remembered Fatty Ji’s reaction, and his hands reached down to his waist. As his fingertips touched the objects, he heard

a buzzing sound, and his entire body twitched violently as if struck by electricity.

The fat man seized this opportunity, swirling his flesh like a fat fish. With a flick of his tail, he slid free from Li Xun’s arms, then turned and shouted, “Junior brother, stop! This is my dearest treasure. Please spare me some face!”

“The Shocking Spirit Bell?”

Li Xun narrowed his eyes, his vision swirling with blood, making it almost impossible to see the object. Thanks to the previous provocation, his mind remained relatively clear.

The fat man shrank back and took a few steps back before smiling, “Brother, you know this bell is a token of my sect leader. It must not be lost. If you think it’s not enough, I’ll give you a few more goodies later…”

Li Xun didn’t listen. After a pause, he suddenly asked, “What’s inside the Shocking Spirit Bell?”

The sudden words cut Ji Xun’s words in half. The fat man choked, and his fat face contorted into a flower.

“What good hearing! Brother, you knew there was something stuffed inside just by the vibration. To tell you the truth, there is a rough piece of ‘Heart-Locking Cold Iron’ in there. Someone made it specially for me. I was just about to send it for polishing, but I didn’t expect to meet you on the road. This…”

Li Xun took a deep breath, suppressed the irritation surging in his heart, and then said, “Where is this?”

The sudden change of topic stunned Ji Bucuo. He was stunned for a long time before he understood. He immediately exclaimed in delight, “I’ll repay you for your kindness, brother. Uh, you asked where this is…

” “This is Beiqi Mountain! One thousand and one hundred miles to the west is Shuijing Cave Heaven, and not far to the east is the headquarters of the Mingxin Sword Sect.

” “Brother, those guys you killed are probably independent cultivators. Speaking of which, was that guy yesterday you, brother?”

With a wave of his hand, he also dismissed Fatty Ji’s probing words. Li Xun felt that his condition was still very poor. If he hadn’t been wary of Fatty Ji’s cunning and resourcefulness, he might have taken action long ago to relieve the restlessness in his heart.

But… how did they get so close to the headquarters?

“By the way, I heard that you and Mingji of the Mingxin Sword Sect don’t get along?” Fatty Ji deliberately lowered his voice, speaking mysteriously.

Then, he was met with a fierce glare that could pierce his heart and bones.

The fat man shrank back, and chuckled, “Don’t be surprised that I know this secret. Back then, brother, you were so powerful that you turned the galaxy upside down. Although they kept their mouths shut afterwards, they couldn’t prevent me from being nearby. You were so powerful at the time that anyone could tell at a glance!”

You’re just bragging! Li Xun sneered twice, but he knew the truth. The Blood Shadow Demon Body could see it, but how could he see the “grudge” between him and Ming Ji? The fat man must have other channels of information, but he was not in the mood to get to the bottom of it.

However, speaking of the Blood Shadow Demon Body, Li Xun suddenly remembered something. Mingji had made a solemn vow that day…

Fatty Ji had no idea what he was thinking, but his voice was still buzzing in his ears: “Brother, I’m not saying anything, but with your abilities, killing those men in the base wouldn’t be difficult. However, afterward, there’s no turning back with the Mingxin Sword Sect. Expanding the feud with this person to encompass the entire sect is something a wise man wouldn’t do!”

Li Xun glanced at him coldly. His dejected mood stirred a murderous rage within him, threatening to erupt again.

Fatty Ji shuddered, raised his hand, stepped back, and said with a dry laugh, “Brother, if you truly want to, I won’t stop you… Please, please!”

Seeing Fatty Ji’s strange expression, Li Xun’s murderous intent receded somewhat. He had gone to great lengths to hide, so how could he possibly return to fight? Besides, Mingji had been out all day and could return at any moment. A face-off now would be truly disastrous.

Li Xun wanted to stay away, but with Fatty Ji standing in his way, he couldn’t be too abrupt. After thinking it over for a while, he changed the subject again: “It’s so late, where are you going?”

“Yeah? I just said, I’m going to deliver the Heart-Locking Cold Iron.”

“For whom?”

“This… are you interested, brother?” Fatty Ji’s words were evasive, and he seemed to be beating around the bush.

Li Xun grinned, and the breath from his mouth was like poisonous fire rising from hell, lingering between his blood-red lips and tongue: “Senior brother is the leader of a sect after all. How can I not be curious about the person who can make you condescend to welcome him in person?”

“Welcome your ass!” Fatty Ji was surprisingly excited and cursed: “If I really want to beat you up, I guarantee that there won’t be even a trace of ash left!”

“Oh, so powerful, then I’m even more interested!”

Fatty Ji wanted to swallow back the words he had spit out, but under Li Xun’s weird eyes, he had no way out. He could only laugh dryly and move closer, gently spitting out a name.

When he first heard the name, Li Xun’s eyes twitched, and he cried out unconsciously: “It’s her… Tsk, what are you doing?”

He smiled and glanced at Fatty Ji. There was a muffled explosion between their chests, and their bodies moved back at the same time, but after moving for a few seconds, they were pulled back again.

Fatty Ji screamed and bent his fat body with all his strength. His thick wrist was grabbed by Li Xun, and his deeply sunken fingers almost squeezed out all the fat on it.

The two people’s true energy collided countless times in an instant. Although their cultivation levels were similar, the ruthlessness and viciousness of the Burning Blood Qi made the situation almost one-sided. Fatty Ji struggled several times, but could not get rid of it. He jumped up and down in pain: “Ouch, brother, be gentle!”

Li Xun hummed twice, but put more force on his hands. The tendons, bones, and blood vessels beneath the fat twisted, tore, and deformed under the high temperature, but stopped before they completely collapsed. Fatty Ji’s lips were blue and his face was pale with pain, but he still had to force a smile, which was extremely ugly.

“I know that Second Brother has the unique skill of using nothing, but it’s not fair to use it on your own brothers!” Although Li Xun retracted his strength, the burning blood energy was still eager to burst out, ready to burst out a second wave of attacks at any time. He said, “Second Brother, won’t you give me an explanation?”

“Explanation? Of course, of course, brother was also confused for a moment. Treasures given away, water spilled…”

With a crisp sound, Fatty Ji’s forearm bone broke cleanly in two.

Li Xun exerted his strength a second time, and amidst the subtle crack of broken bones, he smiled and said, “I had those treasures hidden in my sleeves. Brother, you reached out to my chest, and there were more than three feet between us. I’ve never seen such a skillful hand. You truly are capable of the impossible!”

Ji Bukou’s face drained of all color, and his body trembled with pain, but he still smiled and said, “It was a slip of the tongue, a slip of the tongue. Actually, I saw a faint glow of treasure on your chest, and curiosity piqued, so I wanted to find out what it was. That’s all.”

“Glow of treasure?”

Hearing the word, Li Xun remembered that Fatty Ji, as the master of the Thousand Treasures Pavilion, was naturally very sensitive to all kinds of treasures, so it was no surprise that he had some strange magic to detect this glow. However, this reminded him…

not good! Li Xun remembered that his hasty change of identity had simply involved wearing his outer robe inside out and covering it with the Faceless Armor.

It would have been fine if it had been just anyone else, but Fatty Ji, with his cunning mind, possessed a wealth of flaws. Besides his treasures, his attire, clothing, accessories, and everything else were flawed. If he was determined, how could he possibly conceal his true identity?

“Kill him!”

The thought flashed through his mind, and before he could even move, he felt a sudden shift in his hand. The fat man’s limp arm suddenly shrank, squeezing out through Li Xun’s fingers like a slippery snake or a formless stream of water

. His burning blood essence instantly erupted, yet he was still a step too late.

Another explosion echoed through the air, punctuated by a strange sizzling sound. With Li Xun at the center, all the trees and dead grass within a seven or eight-foot radius seemed to be twisted by a demonic hand, instantly turning to ash and scattering in all directions.

Fatty Ji let out a strange cry and made a gesture with one hand. The sound of a Huang Zhong (Huang Zhong) and Da Lu (Dragon Bell) blared!

Li Xun inevitably felt a slight daze from the shockwaves of the Soul-Shocking Bell, but he quickly recovered, swinging his body and using incredible speed to charge forward, aiming to eliminate the problem before Fatty Ji could unleash his next move.

“Stop!” Fatty Ji screamed, his body flying backwards. The vibrations of the Soul-Shocking Bell in his hand grew more intense, like a physical sound wave under his control, comparable to a sharp blade slicing through metal and jade, leaving no room for any cracks.

In an instant, the grass and trees within a radius of several feet collapsed, leaving the ground nearly bare. The sound was no less powerful than Li Xun’s.

Even more terrifying was… the sound of the bell!

Amidst the desolate mountain’s silence, the resounding bell was undoubtedly the most piercing symbol, its resounding melody echoing through the mountains. In tandem, at least dozens of sword beams shot out from the night sky, converging towards them.

Li Xun glanced at him, gnashing his teeth. His body, like a wave of intangible mist, pierced through the sharp blade of sound waves and approached.

However, with the tinkling of a bell, the space Fatty Ji inhabited seemed to be violently distorted by the turbulent force of the Burning Blood Essence. Even if the world were filled with the Burning Blood Essence, he could still find a tiny opening to escape.

The two, one chasing the other, covered dozens of miles in the blink of an eye.

In the process, the blood-colored rainbow light instantly ripped back and forth dozens of times, but the best it could do was rip the Fatty Ji’s sleeves to shreds.

The Fatty Ji’s well-fleshed arms were exposed, and his face was a pale white. The insidious nature of the Burning Blood Essence, steaming Qi and draining away vital energy, was unbearable even when it was barely touched. Furthermore, the fierce murderous intent within it repeatedly touched the vital pulses at his core. Connected by the incomparably profound Qi, he had faced the gates of death at least ten times.

Fueled by fear, no matter how stoic Fatty Ji was, he could not contain his rage, but the smile on his face deepened. He kept moving, saying, “Junior brother, calm down. I don’t want that treasure.

Besides, the trouble right now is not on my side!”

Before he finished speaking, another bell rang. Unless a cultivator was deaf, it was impossible for him to miss this “instruction” within a hundred miles. The many sword lights in the night sky paused for a moment, and then they rushed over like a stream of fire.

“Trouble is coming, let’s stop!”

The fat man roared, retreating even faster. Li Xun actually stopped obediently, and soon the two of them had distanced themselves. The fat man retreated another few feet, shortening the distance to about five feet, and also stopped. The smile on his face disappeared in an instant, and then he roared, “Demon, you still can escape from this sky and earth!”

The sound shook a hundred miles, and the momentum was extremely powerful. However, as he roared, his lower abdomen rumbled, emitting a faint sound wave: “Brothers, get out of here!” As soon as he finished speaking

, sword lights converged on all sides, and voices shouted things like “The devil is here,” “Master Ji, you have great skills!” The voices carried from afar, gradually becoming clearer.

Just as Fatty Ji had said, trouble is coming!

But wasn’t this situation created by that fellow? Taking advantage and then acting cute—that’s quite a trick!

Li Xun smiled coldly, glancing briefly, taking in the situation in the air. Simultaneously, every inch of his body was scorched by the scorching blood essence, steaming up into mist, obliterating its substance.

Now, Li Xun no longer had any “human” physical form, but rather resembled a gaseous demonic spirit.

As his Blood Shadow Demon Body matured, Li Xun’s perceptions grew sharper. He could sense that behind the convergent sword lights, several troublemakers were rapidly approaching. These were the ones he truly needed to watch out for.

With this keen sense, he slightly adjusted his escape route. With one last glance at Ji Hao, confirming that he had no way to solve this problem for the time being, he uttered a low chuckle and suddenly rushed forward.

Fatty Ji was stunned. Amidst a series of strange cries, his broad body suddenly rolled sideways, and at the same time, he struck the Jingshen Bell with a deafening sound. However, it had no real effect at all. The grass and trees on all sides fell down, being repeatedly bent by the sound waves and lying on the ground.

The two men passed each other, and Li Xun’s figure suddenly bent to the ground. His speed unexpectedly soared again, slanting across the night sky, creating a long blood-red rainbow.

The sword lights in the sky had no time to gather. Only three or two of them were close enough to rush forward to intercept them, but they collapsed and flowed back at the slightest touch. The rainbow light did not pause for a moment and rushed towards the northwest.

Li Xun carefully dodged those powerful reactions, corrected his course for the second time, and was about to make a last-ditch effort, fleeing a thousand miles when he heard a furious shout, “Evil creature, where are you going!”

Just before the voice reached his ears, a flash of light suddenly appeared in Li Xun’s blood-red vision.

The light wasn’t blinding, but rather like the moon shining down from the night sky, pure as water, yet it instantly washed away the bloodshot. Returning to normal vision, Li Xun felt a little uncomfortable. In that moment of daze, someone delivered a blow to his head!

Pressure as heavy as a mountain crashed down upon Li Xun. He didn’t have time to consider how anyone could possibly match his speed. His body reacted automatically, a blood mist of rainbow light surging and expanding like disintegrating dust. Under the overwhelming pressure, it flowed in all directions, eerie and enchanting, chilling the very sight.

“So that’s how it is! The Blood Shadow Demon Body can be used in this way!”

A new level of understanding dawned on Li Xun. His mind drifted in and out of a trance, as if traversing reality and illusion, no longer limited by his “human body.” Precisely because this barrier had been removed, the many obstructions in “Blood God Son” began to unravel, like pearls strung together, gradually becoming clearer.

He could hardly contain his joy, bursting into a hearty laugh. However, within the strange blood mist, his laughter became a strange, sizzling sound, gradually spreading, striking the hearts of the nearby cultivators.

Upon hearing this “laughter,” the man who had previously angrily rebuked him sighed in a deep, powerful voice, “The demonic transformation has taken root in the heart and soul, spreading throughout the body. This is truly the method of the Blood God’s demonic transformation. Evil creature, why don’t you turn back!”

As his words echoed, the mountainous pressure in the sky suddenly dissipated, and roots emerged from the void, unblocking all joints, blossoming and bearing fruit, swaying gracefully, and overflowing with life-giving energy. From extreme strength to weakness, he was able to move his body, drawing the void into him, blocking the path of the blood shadow demon’s body. His magical powers were consistent.

“What a wonderful Lotus Sutra!”

Fatty Ji’s voice could be heard from far below: “Monk Wuya is truly a dragon and elephant in the Buddhist world, a role model for us all!”

Before he finished speaking, a burst of blood suddenly erupted in the air, and the surrounding atmosphere suddenly became hot. In the void, the lotus form that Monk Wuya had conjured with his magical powers trembled, and a petal fell, then dissolved into the void. A

gap appeared, and the blood mist in the sky instantly transformed into a rainbow of light, shining straight out. All along the way, vital energy burst forth, like lightning and thunder, with a loud boom.

At this moment, countless people gasped, marveling at the domineering and bizarre blood-shadow demon body, unaware that the person involved was also complaining bitterly.

After hearing Fatty Ji’s words, which seemed both admiring and revealing, Li Xun realized that the person who had just made the move was actually the old monk Shi Wuya, the leader of the Lotus Sect among the Nine Orthodox Sects.

At that moment, Li Xun felt his luck was truly terrible. Only three of the nine righteous sects had arrived at this Water Mirror Conference: Li Douliang, Tianzhi, and this old monk. But how had he arrived so quickly? As

the thought formed in his mind, another flash of light passed before his eyes. Li Xun was already on high alert, and the strange light he encountered again immediately set off alarm bells.

Just then, Fatty Ji’s voice lingered again, haunting him: “It’s the Chetian Water Mirror! Great!”

Li Xun finally realized it was the Chetian Water Mirror!

This treasured item of the Water Mirror Sect was known only to ordinary people for its ability to illuminate the Three Realms, discern the Five Elements, and illuminate everything in the universe. Few remembered its more practical side.

For example, now, for unknown reasons, a radiant light shot down from a thousand miles away, sweeping across the sky. No matter how powerful the blood-shadow demon was, it was completely penetrated, and it also had the effect of hindering its movement, allowing Shi Wuya to easily intercept it.

With Fatty Ji’s “reminder,” Li Xun’s strategy naturally shifted. While his speed remained unchanged, he focused a small portion of his attention, carefully experiencing the effects of the mirror’s light.

However, Shi Wuya, as the sect leader, was surrounded by others and couldn’t strike again after missing his first strike, giving Li Xun a chance to catch his breath.

Taking advantage of this opening, Li Xun’s flight direction shifted slightly, moving away from the old monk Shi Wuya and escaping southwest. In a blink of an eye, he had covered over ten miles, but Shi Wuya remained where he was, chanting scriptures, and made no attempt to pursue him.

However, the light from the Sky-piercing Water Mirror clung to his bones, one ray after another, stretching across the sky and illuminating all directions.

The light had no lethal power, yet it reduced Li Xun’s total strength to only 60-70%. The oppressive feeling grew, clogging his chest. Finally, it ignited him with a long, sharp roar, his atomized form coalescing once more. Heedless of any obstacles before him, he charged forward like a peerless divine weapon, cleaving the void in two!

Wherever he passed, vital energy was nearly sapped, leaving only a long, dark red trail. With such momentum, no one could withstand his charge. There had been three or five people ahead, but they had dispersed, clearing a clear path for Li Xun.

“Excellent!” Li Xun no longer had any desire to fight. He focused solely on the powerful men behind him, avoiding the light of the Chetian Water Mirror. As long as he could escape thousands of miles, those men would be unable to catch up.

With this thought, his rising momentum inevitably subsided. Just as it was about to recede, a figure suddenly flashed before his eyes. Immediately afterwards, a razor-sharp sword energy pierced the void, charging towards him.

In terms of momentum and pressure, this wave of sword energy was far inferior to Shi Wuya’s. However, the penetrating sharpness that emanated from it, a stark stare of life and death, far surpassed Shi Wuya’s. At

that moment, Li Xun felt strongly that a fight with Shi Wuya would ultimately determine victory or defeat.

But a fight with this man would ultimately be a matter of life or death!

“Who… uh, Immortal Master Mingji!”

The female cultivator opposite glared coldly, her eyes silent and calm. But at the sight of that gaze, Li Xun’s mind went blank. Any plans for escape vanished, and he simply charged forward, driven by the residual force of the attack.

A flash of icy sword light mingled before his eyes, mingling with the burning blood energy radiating from Li Xun’s body. It was like a hurricane rising from nowhere, a whistling sound lingering in his ears.

Amidst the whirring wind, Li Xun felt as if he were lost in an inescapable dream, a dream from which the world seemed to drift away. The sharp gleam of a sword shone in his eyes, yet it felt unreal and unbelievable. For the first time in his life, he faced Mingji’s murderous intent head-on!

The next moment, a small object flew from Mingji’s hand, gleaming in Li Xun’s eyes before suddenly expanding.

A shadow spread like a dark cloud, expanding to a radius of ten feet in just a few breaths. The edges of the shadow twisted and squirmed, like a living being.

As the shadow shifted in shape, a low, rumbling roar suddenly erupted from within. It first sounded like thunder, then like a tsunami, and finally like the roar of thousands of ferocious beasts, a mighty, desolate roar that shook his heart and lungs.

At the first blast, Li Xun felt as if he had been struck in the chest, a muffled feeling. The only difference was that his form was now monstrous, and it was impossible to distinguish his arms, legs, chest, or abdomen.

As the sound shifted, a fissure seemed to open in the void. A tremendous suction force, in a way he couldn’t quite discern, stripped something from him. A feeling of weakness washed over him like a tide, but in a split second, it was swept away by the surging Blood-Burning Essence!

This shock jolted Li Xun out of his daze, and the Blood-Burning Essence flared outward, as if a fiery cloud had ignited from thin air.

The roaring abruptly ceased, and the expanding shadowy cloud quickly shrank back, ultimately transforming into the small pendant that flew back into Mingji’s hands.

Li Xun saw clearly that the treasure had lost its effect, causing a flicker of surprise on Mingji’s face. But soon, a surge of fighting spirit wiped out all distractions, as if nothing had happened. The surge of sword energy, which had subsided slightly earlier, surged forward as if encountering a massive rock blocking a river, swirling and rushing forward again with a whistling vortex.

“Swallowing Sea Spirit! Mingji borrowed it just to deal with me?”

Li Xun suddenly felt the urge to laugh wildly, finally witnessing this absurd world once again. Without the obstruction of shadows, the entire night sky lit up, and the distance between them was only a few miles.

The overwhelming pressure, like a landslide or tsunami, suddenly vanished. Driven by inertia, Li Xun lost control, his speed soaring, and he rushed forward.

A hundred feet away, Mingji bent slightly, his sword silently frozen in mid-air. The mighty sword whistle had instantly faded, leaving only a thin, wisp of sword energy swirling around him, lingering and undispersed.

But the calmer he became, the more Li Xun could sense the cold, knife-like murderous intent suppressed in the void.

At this moment, Mingji’s energy and spirit were concentrated into a single point, projected onto his body in some mysterious way. As his vital energy shifted and his meridians circulated, he constantly shifted, always finding a relatively vulnerable position, ready to unleash a devastating blow.

This was Mingji’s mastery of the art of Celestial Insight, a technique Li Xun was undoubtedly familiar with. However, he had never imagined he would face it head-on.

“Are we really going to face death… eh?”

At that moment, he clearly saw the look of astonishment on Mingji’s face, and he likely felt the same way.

It might not be accurate to describe the void they were in as suddenly warping, but Li Xun certainly saw Mingji before him shift impossibly, out of the way.

At that moment, the Celestial Insight locked onto Li Xun also lost its hold. The sudden loss of power caused both of them, who had passed each other in a flash, to feel a tightness in their chests. Li Xun was relatively safe, while Mingji even groaned softly, blood trickling from her lips.

Just as Li Xun was at a loss for words, a familiar voice echoed in his ears: “Idiot, get out of here!”

He suddenly realized, and without hesitation, he redoubled his strength and fled.

At the same moment, the sky exploded like a dazzling firework, sending at least twenty faint rainbow lights shooting out in all directions.

The surrounding cultivators were dazzled. Only the light of the Chetian Water Mirror swept across the void, instantly dissolving any rainbow light it touched.

However, even within the Chetian Water Mirror’s enveloping light, three more rays of light escaped, leaving those present unable to catch up and watching helplessly as they vanished.

Seeing this, Ji Bukou, who was below, exclaimed in admiration, “What a Thousand Illusions! This demon’s methods are truly diverse.”

As he finished speaking, Ji Bukou felt something strange overhead and, looking up, caught sight of Shi Wuya looking down at him.

Their eyes met, and Ji Bukou grinned, nodding, his portly figure suddenly disappearing into the pitch-black jungle.

Li Xun had fled nearly a thousand miles. Seeing that the Chetian Water Mirror could no longer reach him, he took a deep breath and flew into the forest below. He stopped and looked around, but saw no one. Desperate, he knocked on a nearby tree.

“Hey, what are you still hiding for? Come out!”

With a cold snort, Shui Dielan, still dressed as Baigui, but with her true appearance restored, leisurely emerged from the trees on the other side.

With the help of moonlight, Li Xun saw that Shui Dielan’s face seemed to have a strange expression, so he asked curiously: “What’s wrong?”

“Well, I think… you are very annoying!”

With a loud bang, Li Xun was caught off guard and was pinched by her neck against the big tree trunk behind him. The sudden suffocation and impact made Li Xun forget his surprise for a moment. He struggled to get away, so he had to grab her wrist and frowned: “What are you doing!”

Shui Dielan did not speak, but just glared at him fiercely. After a long time, she made a “tsk” sound, let go of her hand, and cursed in a low voice: “Coward, are you still a man!”

“Huh?”

“Do you have any objection? I’m beginning to sympathize with that woman Yin Chonghua. How on earth did you order her around?

“It’s only been a few days, and you’ve already transferred me here twice from thousands of miles away, and all for such trivial troubles that are not worth mentioning. Don’t you know how to put in more effort yourself?”

Shui Dielan looked really angry. Although she didn’t “harm” Li Xun again, she kicked the tree trunk next to her, making it bang loudly, as if she was very disappointed in him.

“What’s this? What’s this? Do you have the courage to face a strong enemy head-on? Oh, it’s been like this since the beginning, including the time when you plotted against me. Don’t you know how to fight without planning in advance?”

“Know yourself and your enemy, and you will never be defeated in a hundred battles. This is normal.”

Li Xun really couldn’t understand what this woman was thinking, so he had to spread his hands and said, “Look at who I’m targeting! Like Shi Wuya, and the guy yesterday, I really can’t beat them. A head-on fight would only lead to my death.

Hey, you don’t want me to die, do you?”

“Of course I don’t want you to… Bah, if you still have this mentality of bullying the weak and fearing the strong, you will die sooner or later!” Shui Dielan stamped her feet and cursed.

“You’ve already cultivated the Blood Shadow Demon Body, but you don’t know how to use it. You only know how to hide here and there. Is this magic skill just for escaping?”

“Uh, I just think it’s the most convenient way to use it for escaping. Okay, no kidding, I’m…”

As he spoke, he turned around and prepared to change his clothes.

There was a cracking sound beside his ear, and Li Xun’s muscles tensed. He caught a glimpse of a huge tree on the side that exploded in two, and fell down with a loud rumble. Dust and fallen leaves flew everywhere, and it startled countless birds and beasts. The sound was astonishing.

Li Xun looked back in surprise, looking at Shui Dielan’s unusually serious face, frowned and said, “It seems you are not joking with me. However, this is a habit I have formed over a long period of time. You may not like it, but there is no need for me to change it!”

“Habit? I think it’s a bad habit. No matter how capable and calculating you are, can you calculate everyone in the world?

“Let’s take a step back and say that you can calculate everyone and do some tricks to avoid the real and attack the fake, but, God, can you calculate him?”
