Chapter 7 Robbery

Waking from a deep sleep, Li Xun’s consciousness was like a fish suddenly leaping out of water, from one world to another. Countless fresh and interesting information poured in through various channels, filtered through the network constructed by his consciousness, and only the valuable information remained and entered his mind.

With a “dong” sound, the “fish” dived into the water again, swimming in the familiar world, but the vivid and lively scenery in the other world has been forever retained in his memory, leaving a deep impression.

Li Xun opened his eyes and stared at the beams in a daze. Last night, because of mental fatigue, he slept for a rare time. There were no dreams during the whole process, only the trance when falling asleep and the wonderful sensation when waking up, which left a deep impression on him.

Especially at the moment of waking up, the pleasure of jumping out of the water and connecting with another world made Li Xun suddenly feel a little bored with the familiar scene in front of him. This place is like the current of the deep sea, no matter how he moves, he will always be enveloped in it.

This realization made him lazy and unwilling to move. Perhaps only jumping thoughts can be unrestricted and travel freely between inside and outside the body, past and future. He groaned and closed his eyes again. Perhaps he could sleep again.

There were hurried footsteps outside the house. Li As soon as Xun realized that it was Lingji, his door was slammed open. Lingji rushed to the bed in two or three steps and pushed his shoulders hard. At the same time, he shouted: “Oh no, oh no! Junior Brother Xun, Yingning has been kidnapped!”

Yingning? Oh, Yin Sanren took action, which was also expected.

Li Xun opened his eyes and looked at Lingji’s face that was about to cry. Suddenly, he didn’t know what expression he should put on. Surprised? Angry? Anxious? It should be like this.

However, the deepest part of his heart was surging. The incoming weariness, like an endless black tide, washed over his mind, completely obliterating any necessary reaction.

How boring…

A deep sigh echoed through his mind. His eyes didn’t move at all, staring blankly at the beams above, his mind filled with the echo of that sigh.

Lingji was startled by his reaction and was speechless for a moment. It wasn’t until someone outside startled him that he jerked awake. He cautiously poked Li Xun’s shoulder and tentatively asked, “Junior Brother Xun?”

With a crisp “pa” sound, under Lingji’s dull gaze, Li Xun slapped his cheeks with both hands, then covered his face and rubbed it vigorously. After a long time, he put his hands down, and then turned over and sat up. At this time, the person who appeared in front of Lingji was none other than the usually calm and composed Li Xun.

“Xun, Xun Junior Brother?”

Li Xun gave him a wry smile: “It’s okay, I just fell asleep. By the way, you just said Yingning…”

“Yingning was kidnapped from Zuowang Peak around Chou time the night before yesterday, and her whereabouts are still unknown.” The person

who spoke was no longer the incoherent Lingji, but Mingji who had just entered the room. Her expression was solemn, and her clear outlines made her look even sharper. The whole person was like a sword drawn from its sheath, making the viewers hold their breath.

Li Xun did not show an exaggerated surprise, but took a deep breath and simply asked three words: “Who did it?”

“I don’t know!” Mingji’s three words in response were like ice beads rolling down, with a chilling chill: “The man took advantage of Yingning’s visit to Zuowang Peak to visit Qibi, bypassed the sect’s ban, injured the escort Lingyan, and abducted Yingning. Lingyan, the only one who had contact, was knocked unconscious without even seeing the other party’s shadow.”

The Lingyan that Mingji mentioned is the favorite disciple of “Luoxia Sword” Mingru. Since Qibi was troubled by the inner demon and had difficulty in making progress, Lingyan has become the most likely direct disciple to inherit Mingru’s mantle, and her cultivation is not inferior to the “Mingxin Three Spirits”. She was knocked down by a single blow, which was enough to prove the strength of the man who came.

Li Xun knew very well that for Yin Sanren, this was just a small test. He could even get more information from it.

For example, Yin Sanren was able to show mercy, probably to reduce the moral obstacles for Yingning to go out and practice Taoism in the future. From this, it can be seen that Yin Sanren, like her disciple, attaches great importance to Yingning. , seeing her as the best choice to inherit the Yin-Yang Sect’s legacy. Is this what they call “inheritance”?

Perhaps it’s because he’s not in the right position, so he finds it difficult to understand the issue of “inheritance.”

So he quickly returned his attention to the present. As Yingning’s nominal master, he had to express his position, and this attitude would largely become the standard for how the Mingxin Sword Sect handled this matter, and it couldn’t be neglected.

He pondered for a moment before saying, “Fourth Uncle, the most important thing is to understand the intentions of these abductors. Yingning’s life story is pure, but because she possesses a Yuantai Dao body, there are only two possibilities for her abduction: either they value her aptitude and want to pass on her legacy, or…”

Mingji naturally understood the rest of the story without needing to be told.

Li Xun quickly glanced at her expression and added, “If it’s the former, there’s still room for maneuver. But if it’s the latter, we must act quickly, otherwise the consequences will be disastrous.”

“My disciples believe that Yingning is young, beautiful, and lacks the necessary support to fly with her sword. This combination is quite conspicuous, and our sect must do its utmost to find her.

“Also, we could try to do business with the Yanxing Sect. With their spies, they might be able to detect us.”

His words were impartial and insightful, as he was extremely confident in Yin Sanren’s methods. However, this was a bit too calm. Li Xun had already considered this when he was making his plans on Lianxia Mountain, and even though he was not in good shape, he still showed some worry.

“As for Yingning’s affairs, human efforts are certainly important, but most of the time it depends on fate. On the mountain, there is something that we must guard against. If something happens to Yingning, Senior Sister Qi should be the most sad on the mountain. Unfortunately, she has been under too much stimulation during this period. If something happens to her… what should we do?”

Lingji, who was standing next to him, had not been able to interrupt before, but now he cooperated very well. He jumped up and said, “That’s right. Senior Sister Qi treats Yingning as her own child. If she knew about this, she would probably go crazy…”

Li Xun saw that what he said was outrageous, and he scolded him rudely, “Shut up.” However, the effect was already there. He and Yingning had only been together for a very short time, and their feelings were relatively weak. If he was too enthusiastic, it would be bad. But Qi Bi was different. Decades of friendship as fellow disciples made it reasonable for Li Xun to be emotionally biased.

Mingji listened , her brows softened noticeably. She said, “The message didn’t mention A-Bi’s affairs. I will use the Shuijing Sect’s communication station to ask the sect. It’s rare that you are thoughtful!”

At this point, she sighed softly, then cheered up and said to Li Xun lightly, “Don’t stay in bed anymore. You just proposed to do business with the Yanxing Sect, so you have to hurry up on this matter. Tomorrow is the Shuijing Conference, and dozens of sects will gather in one place. If there is nagging, nothing can be done then!”

Li Xun naturally would not neglect it. He jumped up and was about to go out when Mingji shouted from behind, “Come back.”

Li Xun turned around in surprise, but saw Mingji holding out his palm to him. Several sharp and clear lines on the snow-white palm once again proved his temperament, but also made Li Xun confused. “This is…”

“Give me the ‘Swallowing Sea Spiritual Xi’!”

The so-called ‘Swallowing Sea Spiritual Xi’ was the magical self-defense weapon that Mingji had won from Li Douliang some time ago and given to him. Li Xun hadn’t had the chance to use it yet.

Although he was curious why Mingji would ask for this gifted treasure, Li Xun quickly untied it from his waist and handed it over respectfully. Mingji took it in his hands, smiled slightly, and said, “Lend it to me for a day, and I’ll return it to you tomorrow.”

Li Xun felt puzzled, but he could not ask too much, so he could only nod in agreement. Then he said goodbye to her and Lingji, and went out to find Yan Shuiyue to ask about the whereabouts of the Yanxing Sect.

Not until he left the abode did Li Xun let out a long sigh. It was really a close call just now! Fortunately, Lingji was the first one to come in, as his cultivation and knowledge were still a little lacking. If it was Mingji, his physical and mental changes at that time would definitely not be hidden from those sharp eyes.

The worry that had been hidden for a long time finally climbed onto his face. He could feel that the suppression of the “Unmoved Evil Heart” by the Jade Evil Repellent was getting weaker and weaker, and the bone meridians to open the heart technique seemed to be inadequate. He just slacked off for a night, and the evil energy in his heart seeped out, interfering with his spiritual consciousness, and invisibly controlling his emotions.

The emotional slump he felt upon waking might appear to be a continuation of yesterday’s low mood, but if he allowed the “black tide” to wreak havoc within him, suppressing his emotions to a point where they would explode, igniting the pent-up blood rage within his heart.

If so, the spiritual energy around him would likely be slain first, and his body and mind transformed into demonic power would take him another step closer to the bottomless abyss of the Blood Godson.

As the classics say, the cultivation of a celestial demon is like sailing a boat through a rapid current: only advance, never retreat. Those who follow the current will advance rapidly, while those who go against it will capsize and perish. His forced suppression, however, was also against the current, and naturally would not end well. Though

he felt annoyed, he was efficient. It took only an hour to finalize the details at the Yanxing Sect and then leave. It was already noon, and Li Xun, unwilling to remain outside and cause trouble, simply lowered his brow and flew towards the sect’s abode.

But this was truly strange. The more he tried to avoid trouble, the more it seemed to find him. After flying just over a hundred miles, he heard someone yelling from behind, “Fellow Daoist Lingzhu, Fellow Daoist Lingzhu!”

Li Xun silently cursed “bad luck” at the sound of that voice, but for some reason, he couldn’t pretend he didn’t hear it. He had no choice but to stop and turn around, bowing first, with a smile on his face: “Master Ji, are you free today?”

The person who came was none other than the kind-hearted but evil-minded Ji. He did not care about the seniority difference between the two sides, and laughed heartily. He rushed up and slapped Li Xun on the shoulder: “Good job!”

Seeing Li Xun bewildered, Fatty Ji chuckled and said: “Why, you don’t know yet? Yesterday, you confronted the demon phoenix under the towering giant tree, and you were not at a disadvantage. It has spread all over the world. Everyone says that the Mingxin Sword Sect has a powerful disciple, who is so proud that even the Sky Demon Phoenix can’t do anything about him. Good, good!”

Li Xun was too lazy to pay attention to these false rumors. And because he was talking to this fat guy, he didn’t even bother to put on a show. He just sneered twice and said nothing.

The fat man, cunning as he was, immediately saw what Li Xun was thinking. He blinked and suddenly said, “Since Fellow Daoist Lingzhu isn’t afraid of the Sky Demon Phoenix, why are you so wary of me? I can see. These past two days, you, Lingzhu, haven’t been kind. You’ve been treating me like a thief!”

His expression suddenly changed, and in

that moment, despite Li Xun’s calm and self-control, his mind went blank. Looking at the fat man again, every inch of his face trembled, the lines formed by them blending together. At first glance, it looked like a smile, but beneath the surface, it was a blurry and sinister expression, indistinguishable.

At that moment, Li Xun thought of the fat man’s “junior brother” whose body had vanished in the East China Sea. Then, he remembered that this fat man was the leader of a prestigious sect that had ruled for thousands of years.

After carefully positioning Fatty Ji once again, Li Xun regained his composure. Fatty Ji’s ambiguous gaze met his, and he offered a faint smile. “Why should I be on guard? Pavilion Master Ji is a senior, after all. As a junior, it’s only natural for me to be respectful to a senior.

” “Of course, if Pavilion Master Ji thinks otherwise, I have nothing to say.”

Fatty Ji laughed heartily at this, patting Li Xun’s shoulder vigorously. “You have a future, kid!

At least your tongue is far more powerful than those of your fellow elders. Hehe, we all know the importance of being cautious, so why bother explaining it?”

He shed his earlier slick demeanor, now appearing both mature and sophisticated, a true Shanghainese. Unfortunately, this was all just a facade. His seemingly frank attitude evaded his ultimate goal.

In normal times, Li Xun would have withdrawn while he was ahead, saving everyone’s face. But today, he was in a foul mood, and when he encountered the fat man’s unreasonable behavior, his anger could not help but surge, but his tone became calmer.

“Master Ji, you are too kind. Yesterday, I listened to Master Ji’s teachings on the secret method, and discussed the distinction between treasures and rare objects in this world. I feel that I have gained a lot and am extremely impressed. This reminds me of something: there are rumors outside that Master Ji has been traveling recently, collecting all kinds

of treasures. Is this the secret method of tracing back to the source?” Fatty Ji grinned, about to laugh. But Li Xun didn’t give him a chance, and continued, “Such a cultivation method is profound and subtle, beyond the comprehension of a junior like me.

” “But I heard that Master Ji used a brilliant technique to take away a fixed star from the Xingji Sword Sect, but also left behind an obsidian that could replace it. Although he took it without permission, he still maintained a sense of justice. Such behavior is admirable.”

Perhaps only God knows where Fatty Ji’s “justice” lies. In broad daylight, in front of everyone, it was rare that Fatty Ji had such a thick skin. He just laughed and said, “What justice or injustice? I just want a fair trade…”

Halfway through his words, Li Xun interrupted and said, “It’s rare for you to have this. Speaking of this, I have something I want to ask the Pavilion Master.”

“You tell me, you tell me.”

Li Xun smiled and said, “I, Lingzhu, am a humble disciple of the Mingxin Sword Sect. Back then, I was favored by the elders of the sect and obtained a treasure, which is the jade that the Ji Sect Master saw. It can dispel all poisons, ward off all evil, enlighten the mind, and provide supreme protection. For seventy years, I have kept it carefully, and I don’t know how many disasters I have used it to ward off.

“That’s fine, but the elder is no longer with us. Seeing this object reminds me of him, and it’s hard to let go, as if it holds a place of hope. A sudden thought struck me: how much is this treasure actually worth? Pavilion Master Ji is arguably the world’s foremost connoisseur, a true master of his craft. If

there’s a price tag on this treasure, what would it be worth?” Fatty Ji’s face froze at these words, but luckily he reacted quickly and managed a smile. Just as he was about to speak, a voice of praise filled his ears.

“Well said!”

A palm thunder echoed out of nowhere, followed by a long laugh. A figure, seemingly in the void as flat as the ground, approached with a single step, spanning a distance of half a mile to their side. He spoke, “Treasures have a price, but friendship is priceless. Lingzhu’s words resonate deeply with me.”

The passing cultivators stirred slightly, and seven or eight out of ten stopped to gaze.

Li Xun and Fatty Ji turned their heads simultaneously. The man’s face was sturdy, still dressed in a thin blue shirt even in winter, barely concealing his muscular features. The sheer power radiating from him was unbearable. It was none other than the Soul-Calming Sect’s leader, Li Douliang.

Li Xun called out “Leader Li.” Fatty Ji, standing beside him, frowned barely, but then chuckled and waved his hand. “So it’s you, Brother Li! You’ve been traveling so much lately. I’m sorry you’ve had a hard time.”

The sincerity on the fat man’s face made Li Xun feel ashamed. But Li Douliang, clearly well aware of his character, raised the corners of his stubbled beard and replied indifferently, “Not at all. We’re both traveling so much, I’m just talking, and I can’t compare to Master Ji’s hard work.”

Li Douliang spoke lightly, but Li Xun could see the gloom between his brows was even darker than that day outside the galaxy. Perhaps it was because his efforts to connect the various sects hadn’t been effective.

Fatty Ji had another idea in mind. Given his personality, he wasn’t worried about bullying the weak when targeting a junior like Lingzhu, but the situation depended on the situation.

Now that Li Douliang had intervened, clearly intent on defending Lingzhu, any further entanglement would be more trouble than it’s worth. He quickly made a decision, chuckling, “Brother Li, you’re being too modest,” and turned to Li Xun, saying, “If Fellow Daoist Lingzhu’s treasure were in someone else’s hands, I’d have at least a few to exchange for it. But when it involves people’s hearts, its value is inestimable.

” “Sect Master Li is right. Friendship is priceless. If it can be exchanged, how can it even be called friendship?

Okay, very good!”

He grinned, patted Li Xun on the shoulder, waved his sleeves, and left without looking back.

Li Xun watched him retreat with a cold gaze, wondering if he should find an opportunity to finish off the fat man and end his troubles, lest he be haunted day and night and unable to sleep soundly.

Li Douliang, standing by, nodded and said, “Ji Buhao may not be a person to be commended for, but he’s not the type to be vindictive. He lets go when it’s time to. As a businessman, he’s a decent enough person.”

Li Xun knew he was trying to warn him, and quickly came to his senses, bowing to the ground. “Thank you, Sect Master Li, for rescuing me. Otherwise, if I had gotten entangled with this fat man, I don’t know how it would have ended.”

Li Douliang was a straightforward person with a truly heroic spirit. Seeing Li Xun’s salute, he didn’t bother to refuse, saying “Never mind,” then added with a smile, “I only gave him a push. If you hadn’t put him off with your words earlier, with his persistent nature, he wouldn’t have given up so easily.

” “Hey, it’s a pity I don’t have your eloquence. I’ve been running around for months, but to no avail!”

With that, his brows darkened with worry. Li Xun’s mind was as clear as a mirror, but at this moment, he could only feign ignorance, lowering his hands, eyes, and keeping silent.

Li Douliang, noticing his expression, knew he was also extremely anxious, grabbing a child to complain to. With a self-deprecating smile, he waved at Li Xun, “Things have been going on around Beiqi Mountain these past few days. You’d better get back quickly. If your senior sister Shan Ling’er is free, ask her to visit Shuijing Cave Heaven… Hey, do your best.”

Li Xun, knowing full well what was going on, responded respectfully. After saluting Li Douliang again, he turned and left. Without further trouble, he returned to the sect’s headquarters. However, when he sought Mingji’s response, he heard this news.

“Out? When?”

Turning his attention away from speculation about little Yingning’s safety, Ling@ scratched his head, recalling, “You went to see an old friend shortly after you left. What happened?”

“Old friend? Never mind, it’s nothing serious.”

Li Xun shrugged it off and went back to Minghuo, asking him to go in Mingji’s place. Having settled everything, Li Xun suddenly felt unsure what to do next. Should

he return to his fellow disciples and watch them bitterly curse the “evil” who had abducted Yingning, then echo their words? Li Xun felt he no longer had the patience for a show.

So, he distanced himself from the discussion among his fellow disciples and walked around the spacious courtyard. As the light gradually faded, he felt his mood grow dim. The only difference was that the next morning, the sun would rise again, but he would no longer have that chance.

Leaning against the surrounding wall, he listened to the faint voices rising from the front—excited, high, impulsive. Li Xun tried to listen, but after a few breaths, they faded from his consciousness. Because of the estrangement at the level of his soul, he and his fellow disciples no longer felt any emotional connection, and could only watch from the sidelines.

In that moment, he felt an immense loneliness.

The feeling of loneliness was uncontrollable, like a rising tide, rustling against the shore, flooding over his mind and rushing down, washing over every corner of his body. The water was cold, shrouded in a hazy, ethereal air, as if to freeze his soul and solidify it!

He instinctively resisted this change, but the sudden surge of emotion was irresistible, and his remaining ray of spiritual clarity struggled in the cold and deep silence until it drowned him.

He groaned and slumped against the wall, collapsing softly. The uneven wall rubbed against his back, sending a sharp, piercing pain radiating to the back of his head. Just as he was about to collapse, a prominent rock struck him hard on the back of his head.

He froze, instinctively straightening his body. As his limbs unconsciously tensed, a cracking sensation seemed to crack inside his heart, and the tight barrier surrounding his heart suddenly shattered.

Scalding blood flowed out like a volcano, unstoppable. The barriers controlling his “unwavering evil thoughts” crumbled one by one, and a staggering heat emanated from his heart, instantly boiling his icy blood.

“Ugh!”

Li Xun bit his lip hard, suppressing the roar rising in his throat. He reached out, grasping the courtyard wall, and struggled to stand. He froze in place for a moment, then suddenly flipped backward, leaping over the barely ten-foot outer wall, landing outside the monastery, and staggering away.

He didn’t soar into the air with his sword, but simply relied on his two legs, advancing with one foot high and one foot shallow. Although night had fallen, the pitch blackness didn’t bother Li Xun in the slightest. Whether it was the jagged rocks, the overhanging branches, or even the crawling insects on the ground, he took in everything.

However, each of these things was covered with a faint layer of blood. As his body moved, everything in his sight seemed to be washed by the blood, distorting and changing in a strange and bizarre way.

After walking for an unknown distance, the distortion of the scenery before him became even more severe. Li Xun felt as if the entire world was shaking and crumbling, flowing out of it was an endless wave of blood-red.

His limbs trembled continuously, as the surging blood beneath his flesh burned so fiercely that it threatened to explode!

Relying on his last remaining ounce of spiritual clarity, he activated the “Heart Knot” within his body, sending out a message. Then, shakily, he pulled out the “Faceless Armor,” covering his face and donning his outer robe inside out. As he did this, his bones creaked . Though he possessed a power capable of annihilating heaven and earth, he could no longer control it.

His feet gave way, and he fell to the ground, as if crushing a small tree, yet he felt no pain. In a trance, deep within his heart, a ferocious beast howled. The howl pierced his chest, vibrating his vocal cords, making him unable to hold back any longer. A strange, gurgling sound echoed in his throat, echoing the howl.

The fire finally engulfed every corner of his body, then exploded with a bang. The irresistible force instantly soared countless levels, destroying everything, consuming everything.

At this moment, even his memories were burned away. Li Xun felt only the boundless heat. His soul was filled with this heat, melting, deforming, and becoming pure!

After an unknown amount of time, he could vaguely hear voices in the distance, shattering that “pure” state. Li Xun opened his eyes, and the bloody visions before him hadn’t improved. However, those images, distorted by the bloodstream, “said” a certain mystery behind the world in a mysterious way.

Instinctively, Li Xun was more concerned with the vibrant pulse of life from the people who came, about three or five of them.

Without having to see them, Li Xun could depict them in his mind in a strange way. The pulses were like several burning flames, gathered in his palms, and with a simple snap…

With a trembling “hum,” the trees around Li Xun suddenly crumbled and disintegrated silently, scattering a cloud of pulverized grass ash. From further away, several muffled groans echoed, mingled with the strange sound of coughing up blood. A moment later, someone shouted, “Who are you, friend? We have no grudges…”

Li Xun ignored the rest of the words. He staggered to his feet and looked down at his hands. “So killing a person is different from killing a fish. At least, it takes a bit more force!”

The cultivators over there finally spotted him, and Li Xun turned to take a closer look. However, amidst the “wash of blood,” he could only make out a few blurry human outlines. Only the pulsing vitality radiating from their bodies could clearly reflect in his heart, exuding an indescribable temptation.

The voices on the other side suddenly became shrill: “Demon…”

Amidst their trembling fear, Li Xun suddenly felt the heat in his body rise to another level. He roared and stepped forward. The fire that filled his body seemed to find an outlet. With a loud bang, it burst through his body!

And then… the world was peaceful.

More than peaceful. The pent-up heat within him was released, and Li Xun felt a long-awaited coolness. At the same time, his fragmented memories gradually fell into place, forming a continuous image that flowed through his mind.

He closed his eyes unconsciously, slowly savoring the flashbacks. When he understood why he had come to this hellish place, he opened them again. The distorted vision had improved significantly, and the dark red blood had faded significantly. However, before him, a more stimulating scene was slowly unfolding.

Broken limbs and splattered blood covered the ground, staining several twisted, lifeless faces.

Taking a deep breath of the air, thick with the smell of blood, Li Xun felt a strange calm. He simply raised his hands, looking at the blood still dripping from them. At that moment, he suddenly understood the feelings of his colleague from yesterday.

At this moment, his more acute senses detected a familiar pulse of life force.

Li Xun didn’t look up, but in his mind, in a special way, he restored the source of this pulse to an image in his memory.

Seeing that fat face, Li Xun laughed dumbly. A moment later, a cloud of dust exploded from the depths of the jungle behind him, and at least two trees that were thick enough to be hugged by two people broke in two. A fat figure was blown out and stood a few feet away from Li Xun in a somewhat embarrassed manner.

“Uh, I’m just passing by. This… Hey, Third Junior Brother? Is that you?”

Oh, I almost forgot this name. Hearing this, Li Xun shook off the last drop of blood from his fingertips and turned around. He was in a good mood now, at least much better than at noon. Therefore, when he saw Fatty Ji’s fat face, which blended so many wonderful expressions, he grinned.

“It’s Second Senior Brother, you’re just in time!”

“Ah?”

Seeing the genuine surprise on Fatty Ji’s face, Li Xun suddenly felt an unstoppable sense of humor in his heart, so he laughed out loud. His unbridled laughter startled countless night birds and beasts, and then spread to the farther void.

Ji’s fat face wrinkled, and he asked tentatively: “Junior Brother, are you okay?”

He was answered by a loud applause. Li Xun stopped smiling, but his expression became more amiable: “Thank you for your concern, Second Senior Brother. It just happened to be the case. Why don’t you take out all the valuable things on your body? Today I want…”

Looking directly at the fat man’s round pupils, Li Xun grinned, and his teeth flashed coldly in the dark

“Robbery!”
