Chapter 3: Death

Before Li Xun could express his opinion, Kunpeng, clearly bewildered, cried out in surprise, “Master Gu, what’s going on over there? How did such a simple matter become so fraught? Hey, is Gu Zhixuan really in trouble?”

As she spoke, Master Tianzhi took a step forward. Qingluan’s eyes flashed, and her aura locked onto her. She feigned ignorance, staring intently at Gu Yin before a sudden smile crept in.

“If you won’t call him out, I’ll find him myself. I wonder if he’s buried somewhere?”

The moment the word “di” pierced her tongue, she lunged forward without warning, crashing directly into Qingluan, who stood in her way.

A cold glint flashed in Qingluan’s eyes, and she was about to strike when Kunpeng, already furious, roared,

“How dare you!”

With a single stride, his massive form unexpectedly crossed the distance of dozens of feet, arriving first and striking Tianzhi on the back.

Qingluan frowned. As expected, she was unwilling to join forces with others. Seeing this, she took a step aside and let Tianzhi go.

But Tianzhi seemed to be crazy. She completely ignored Kunpeng’s thundering palm. Her body speed increased again. Judging from her eyes, her target was only Gu Yin!

However, as the top demon in the world, Kunpeng’s speed was much stronger than Tianzhi. Although Tianzhi had rushed to a distance of only about ten feet from Gu Yin, Kunpeng’s giant palm still hit her back first.

The crisp sound of bones breaking rang out like a machine gun. As long as people heard this sound, there was no doubt: Tianzhi was finished!

Li Xun opened his eyes wide, his mind completely occupied by this scene. He should feel a little sad, but why did the chill in his heart suddenly surge?

“Something’s wrong!”

Shui Dielan’s lips opened and closed, and all that penetrated Li Xun’s ears was warm heat, but each word was like ice. Before she finished speaking, something strange happened in the scene.

Kunpeng succeeded in hitting him with a palm strike, and his body rose in the opposite direction. Tianzhi, who was hit by the palm strike, took a step forward, and was about to fall to the ground when her body suddenly became ethereal.

This was a sign that her speed had reached the pinnacle. The speed she displayed at this moment was at least twice as fast as before! And at this moment, there was no obstacle between her and Gu Yin!

With a “clang” sound, the guqin that Gu Yin was holding diagonally on her chest was pierced by Tianzhi’s palm, and all five strings broke. The next moment, it shattered with a bang. Gu Yin’s body moved backwards, and her speed was not much slower than Tianzhi’s.

At this moment, Kunpeng suddenly roared in the air, and stretched out his body, carrying the clouds and the sky, and soaring to the ninth level. Ice fog surged in all directions with the sound, its surging momentum once again shattering the fragile balance of the passage. A vast amount of vital energy, laced with the freezing poison of the icy fog, clashed inward with a thud. As the

icy fog closed in, Kunpeng lunged forward. Behind him, the three-headed dragon monster roared, leading the demons charging forward.

Li Xun’s vision was instantly shrouded in white, but at this moment, he seemed even more lucid than before.

If, at this point, he still didn’t understand what was happening, he could simply throw himself down and die.

“Kunpeng and Tianzhi conspired!” Li Xun didn’t understand the reason for this bizarre collaboration, but he saw the key to it all too clearly.

The key to the matter lay in Kunpeng’s palm strike on Tianzhi’s back. It wasn’t a killer move at all, but a special technique that added strength to Tianzhi’s body, even stimulating the body’s potential. Their target was undoubtedly Gu Yin!

But was Gu Yin truly completely unprepared? Not necessarily…

Then, a volcanic eruption of vital energy confirmed this.

Within the vast icy fog, the azure figure representing the Blue Luan flew with imperturbable agility, intersecting and colliding with the dark figure of the Kunpeng. Each collision sent a tremor through the vast expanse of heaven and earth.

In mere breaths, within a radius of several miles, centered on their clash, not only the icy fog but even the air itself was squeezed clean out.

The combined might of the two peerless demons resonated throughout this space, ripping anyone who approached into the twisted, crisscrossing vital energy to shreds.

At that moment, the path through the fog shifted in an instant, practically fading into nothingness.

“Hold on!”

Li Xun saw clearly that the Water Die Lan was no less capable. She warned, pivoting, and barely scraped past the edge of the battlefield between the two demons.

The intense pressure radiating from it, though fleeting, gave Li Xun a taste of the suffocating sensation he’d almost forgotten.

But soon, his attention was drawn to the reappearing figure.

Amidst the swirling icy mist, Tianzhi and Gu Yin finally engaged in combat.

Compared to the demonic clash not far away, this one lacked the power, but was no less ferocious and brutal.

Gu Yin, while renowned for his sonic killing techniques, was also quite skilled in physical combat. Tianzhi, with complete disregard for her own safety, unleashed a furious assault, yet was unable to defeat him.

Meanwhile, the demons, led by the three-headed dragon monster, had penetrated the icy mist and closed in on them.

Gu Yin took a quick glance and actually had the leisure to talk, and was polite: “Three Origin Gods, this move of yours is not smart. Kunpeng only has less than 30% of the alliance’s power. Among the masters, only you and Kunpeng can be put on the table. What chance do you have of winning?”

As he spoke, Tianzhi cut her throat with a palm. She moved back to avoid it, but blood spurted out of her collarbone. However, she looked calm, and even the tone of her voice did not change at all.

The three-headed dragon monster laughed and said, “Isn’t victory here? Yao Feng took that little bastard to the Land of No Return yesterday, taking that Demon Luohou with him. They won’t be able to get back anytime soon. Right now, you only have Qingluan by your side!

“We’re not greedy. As long as we can kill you, how can Yao Feng and Qingluan have the ability to unite tens of thousands of cultivators? By then, the alliance will fall apart. We’ll take as many as we can. As long as we don’t have to endure your bullying here, it’s fine!”

As he laughed, his skin became even more shiny, and scales appeared on his face and exposed skin. With a fierce demonic aura, he punched Gu Yin.

However, as the punch was thrown, his center of gravity shifted, and he felt a sudden chill in his heart. But before he could react, a white, slender hand in the void lightly pressed the air, and the icy mist around him instantly turned into smoke and disappeared under the rapidly rising heat.

The three-headed dragon monster’s eyes nearly popped out of its head, and a tuneless cry escaped from its throat: “Demon Phoenix!”

A red figure parted the veil of icy mist and emerged. With such exquisite beauty and figure, who else could it be but the Demon Phoenix?

Perhaps due to the passage of time, the sharp and resolute hatred in the Demon Phoenix’s eyes had been replaced by a gentle and radiant light, no longer possessing the fierceness that seemed to burn through the three realms. One would think that she must have lived a comfortable life for the past sixty years.

It was a pity that time truly had the power to erase all traces.

However, the scars in Li Xun’s heart remained as deep as before, even festering and festering with the passage of time. Therefore, he unconsciously clenched his teeth.

“How could it be? Yesterday you clearly…” The three-headed dragon monster didn’t expect that the Phoenix would come back so soon, or in fact, she didn’t leave at all?

This unexpected incident made him panic. Fortunately, he was not a weakling, and he barely turned around to block the attack of the Phoenix that could melt gold and break bones.

But his companions did not have such strength and luck.

The Phoenix’s fiery red sleeves flicked, and immediately one of the weaker ones was attacked by the bright fire contained in it. Screaming, he fell into the surging ice fog, and his life was unknown.

The Phoenix smiled and showed up, then shook his head and sighed.

“Ayin is right. Kunpeng isn’t destined for greatness. His previous tactics of playing hard to get and luring the tiger away from its mountain retreat were utterly clumsy. When the final blow came, his combined might to kill Ayin failed, and he didn’t decisively withdraw. Even with such a mess, he still had the energy to talk nonsense… I admire your noble resolve, but your choice of men is questionable!”

Upon hearing this, the three-headed dragon monster’s already unsightly face darkened.

He wanted to call his companions to attack, but he saw that the demon phoenix, though merely standing in the air, held its ground with unwavering determination. Its accumulated might over millennia shook the demons’ hearts, rendering them unable to continue.

Gu Yin chuckled softly, his body suddenly swaying from side to side, dodging Tianzhi’s numerous killing moves. He then soared lightly, landing beside the demon phoenix.

Tianzhi turned to give chase, but stumbled again. A strange blush crept across her pale face, spreading even to her pupils, creating a strange and eerie look.

Gu Yin sighed softly, “Master, please calm down. You’re…”

“Is this… the Seven Emotions Fire?” Master Tianzhi raised her head slightly, gazing at the two beauties standing side by side in mid-air. Suddenly, she smiled and said, “Over the past hundred years, your sweet-mouthed, treacherous nature hasn’t changed at all. I was wondering why you didn’t use your ‘Seven Killings Lute’ instead of that ordinary guqin. So you have this trick up your sleeve!” After

a brief pause, she took a slow step forward. “Calm down? The Seven Emotions are burning. If I even try to calm down and settle my mind, I’ll inevitably become exhausted and my orifices blocked. How can I even fight?

Gu Yin, we’re already at loggerheads. Why are you still pretending?”

Gu Yin’s thoughts were exposed, but she didn’t show any embarrassment.

She simply smiled and said, “What difference does it make whether Master attacks or not? If Master had withdrawn in time when seeing Kunpeng blocked by Qingluan, he could have saved his life, but Master has chosen to forsake this path.”

Master Tianzhi laughed, his voice slightly hoarse, “Since I’ve come this far, I’ve never considered leaving alive. I simply want to return every ounce of the humiliation you inflicted upon me! Gu Yin… I’ve waited so long for this day!”

As she spoke, she stepped forward, a blush spreading across her face. The burning fire within her caused blood to flow from her mouth and nose.

Seeing her determination to perish together, the demon phoenix was moved. She tilted her head to Gu Yin and asked, “What good have you done to deserve this?”

Gu Yin smiled, but said nothing.

At this moment, they seemed to have completely forgotten their enemies, the three-headed dragon monster. It was precisely because of this that the three-headed dragon monster found itself in a dilemma.

He knew full well that Gu Yin, with his methods, would never fight an unprepared battle. This time, they were doomed to fail.

Even though Kunpeng was currently being held hostage by Qingluan, the fight was fierce, if he tried to escape, even the combined strength of everyone present would likely be unable to stop him. But what about himself?

Thinking of Niu Lishi’s death, he shuddered.

Just then, Gu Yin shifted his gaze and offered him a faint smile.

“Three Origin God Lord, I know you were merely foolishly acting in reliance on Kunpeng, not the mastermind. The Alliance is in need of men, and I will not compromise myself. If you surrender now, and this matter is over, I will not embarrass you. Okay?”

The three-headed dragon monster immediately felt the gazes of all his companions fixed on him. There was hesitation, confusion, but also anticipation and relief…

For a moment, he felt completely drained. Looking back at Gu Yin’s unfathomable gaze, he gave a wry smile and lowered his head.

Gu Yin’s lips curled slightly. She could tell the three-headed dragon monster was merely frustrated, not necessarily truly convinced. However, this momentary frustration was enough for her.

Her gaze shifted back to Tian Zhi. This stubborn female cultivator had, while she was speaking, forcibly suppressed her Seven Emotions Fire. Her steps had regained their composure, and the look he gave her was as burning and full of resentment as ever.

With a sigh, Gu Yin gently clapped her hands. The crisp sound was faint amidst the rumbling of the air explosion, so faint that even the three-headed dragon monster, not far away, could barely hear it.

However, right after the sound, he suddenly sensed something was wrong. When he turned to look again, cold sweat had already streamed down his face.

In that instant, countless figures emerged from the surrounding icy mist.

At a glance, the four great councilors—Daoist Jia, Ice Demon Lady, Monk Lihun, and Lord of Loss and Gain—were prominently present. Adding those who had been there originally, all ten councilors, save for the deceased Niu Lishi and the reckless Gu Zhixuan, were present!

Those who had managed to remain within the icy mist were all masters of supreme cultivation.

If all of them had pressed down on him, even three hundred, let alone three, would have been insufficient to slay. He felt a bitter taste in his mouth, yet also a sense of relief: fortunately, he had ducked in time, saving his life.

The silent appearance of hundreds of elite cultivators created a formidable pressure that even Tianzhi could not ignore. She paused in shock.

Gu Yin stopped looking at her, turning to observe the fierce battle between Qingluan and Kunpeng.

The old demon Kunpeng was no fool; he had naturally realized the situation was dire and had long sought to escape. However, Qingluan was no match for him in terms of cultivation and speed, so how could he escape so easily?

Taking in Kunpeng’s embarrassment, Gu Yin let out a laugh. “This time, I’ll teach old Kunpeng a lesson: don’t misjudge the weight of your beads when calculating on someone else’s territory!”

She tilted her head slightly and smiled at the newly arrived Ice Demon Lady, “Please ask Madam Binglan to help us kick that unwelcome guest out.”

Ice Demon Lady was startled for a moment, then nodded in agreement. Her words ignited everyone’s gaze towards Tianzhi, their eyes brightening at the sight.

Had they ever seen a sect leader so embarrassed?

These wandering cultivators and demons all held a grudge against the various sects of the Tongxuan Realm. Having spent decades in the polar region, they had often encountered Tianzhi and her companions. Seeing Tianzhi in this state, they secretly exclaimed in delight.

At first, there were only a few sneers, but in a blink of an eye, hundreds of people erupted in unison, their laughter shaking the air and laced with obscenities. Like a torrent, it instantly overwhelmed Tianzhi!

Looking at Tianzhi’s almost translucent pale face, and listening to the twisted laughter around him, even as a mere observer, Li Xun felt his heart twist violently, suffocating uncomfortably.

“Gu Yin is too cruel… they might as well just kill her!”

The fact that Shui Dielan, who always delighted in mocking others, could utter such words revealed just how awful the atmosphere was.

Li Xun groaned, but the word “kill” suddenly struck him: “Wait, you just said, who asked you to kill Tianzhi?”

“Gu Yin… huh?”

The two exchanged glances, then chorused, “How could she be so kind?”

Li Xun frowned, feeling things were getting increasingly strange: “How did you even take on this deal?”

“I…”

“Kunpeng, if you bow your head now, you still have a chance to survive!”

A sudden, rising voice interrupted Shuidielan. It was Gu Yin, a master of the art of transforming sound into killing. Her short words, undulating and rhythmic, were truly captivating. Unfortunately, the other party didn’t appreciate it.

Despite the fierce battle, the old demon Kunpeng laughed heartily.

“Take Sect Master Gu’s words seriously, or believe that Gu Zhixuan doesn’t play with women. Gu Yin, come if you want. If you don’t have the guts, I’ll go now!”

Her voice rumbled like thunder through the icy mist. Li Xun saw it clearly: within the mist, the dark figure of the old demon Kunpeng suddenly swelled.

Qingluan swung out a sleeve, striking him squarely in the chest. However, it was not Kunpeng who retreated, but Qingluan.

The impact was like the simultaneous beating of thousands of drums, sending invisible waves of sound surging through the icy mist, their trajectory almost visible.

Ripples after ripples fueled the icy mist’s chilling poison, surging like a sudden snowstorm, howling inward.

The already shaky passage collapsed again, engulfing everyone in the ravages of the poison. Even more troubling was the impenetrable icy mist. In an instant, the hundreds of people were blinded, their already established encirclement thrown into disarray.

The only visible object within the veil of icy mist was Kunpeng’s ever-expanding form, like a drop of ink in water, its dark hue spreading uncontrollably.

Li Xun was momentarily stunned before his vision was filled with this oppressive color, a hundred times darker than the dark sky!

“In the North Sea, there is a fish called Kun. Kun’s size is unknown, spanning thousands of miles. It transforms into a bird called Peng. Peng’s back is unknown, spanning thousands of miles. When it soars in anger, its wings are like clouds drooping from the sky.”

As this most beautiful text of the esoteric school resurfaced in Li Xun’s mind, he felt none of the soaring, exhilarating beauty he had felt when he first read it.

In truth, anyone pinned down by a giant bird a thousand miles across would feel no sense of beauty.

All they felt was oppression and fear.

“This is Kunpeng’s Dharmakaya…”

Shui Dielan cursed, tugging at Li Xun. “We can’t stay here any longer, or else when that old bastard soars into the sky, we’ll all be sucked into his stomach. It’s disgusting!”

“Have you been inside?”

Before he could utter this crude joke, he caught a glimpse of Gu Yin’s face, a smile still lingering.

At this moment, a heart-shaking “Hengheng” sound rang out. This low, deep sound seemed to be emanating from one’s very viscera, growing stronger and stronger, almost suffocating one’s breath.

However, looking at the expression on Gu Yin’s face, Li Xun had a vague feeling that the sound was probably nothing more than that…

“I’ve told you, when you’re using an abacus in someone else’s house, you always have to test the weight of the beads first!”

Gu Yin seemed completely oblivious to the shocking scene, her voice breaking through the chorus of “Hengheng” sounds, reaching everyone’s ears.

The next moment, she extended her hand and made a downward cutting gesture.

A clear clang, like a steel knife, cut through the mighty waves of sound in the void. The icy fog, already undulating like waves, suddenly, without warning, stilled, as if the world had frozen in an instant. A

sudden, sharpening sound rose in pitch. The violent impact weighed on everyone’s mind, but all present were masters of a certain level of cultivation, able to maintain their composure and remain unmoved.

Gu Yin didn’t need to say anything more. The cultivators and demons gathered around her suddenly scattered in all directions, plunging into the icy fog without a frown.

Then, dense streams of energy shot out from all directions, following several predetermined paths and quickly converging.

It felt like, in just a moment, the surrounding icy fog was woven into a single entity by this fine-grained energy, with the vital energy of heaven and earth flowing through it in a unique pattern.

Thus, the vast icy fog, stretching for an unknown radius, transformed into an immense cage, firmly imprisoning Kunpeng’s Dharmakaya, which stretched a thousand miles across.

By this time, the old demon Kunpeng was roaring in rage, the sound waves so resounding that all that could be heard was a trembling sound, its tone indistinguishable.

At this point, the entire Yama Heaven was trembling.

Li Xun was astonished by this genius, his voice agape.

He could clearly see that, on the surface, Gu Yin was assembling the power of hundreds of cultivators for a collective attack. In reality, she was using these cultivators as a medium to unite the vital energy of heaven and earth covering a radius of thousands of miles. Only in this way could she confine such a behemoth.

As Gu Yin had said, this was her territory. How could the old demon Kunpeng even imagine her understanding and control of the ten-thousand-mile icy fog?

Li Xun was stunned, then suddenly realized something. “That’s right, Gu Yin has long known about Tianzhi and Kunpeng’s scheme. Judging from the situation, Tianzhi is likely motivated by personal vendetta, while Kunpeng is after her power. Therefore, her counterattack today is focused on the old demon Kunpeng… Tianzhi is just a cover!” Kunpeng, a

formidable demon who roamed the world for nearly ten thousand years, ultimately fell into Gu Yin’s hands. Although he still had the strength to struggle, it was obvious that Gu Yin had no backup plan. As

the thought came to mind, he saw Gu Yin’s arm retract, and from his sleeve he pulled a short flute. Raising his hand to his lips, he gently blew a crisp note.

Perhaps it was an illusion, but Li Xun felt that the lingering sound of the flute wasn’t clear, but rather muffled and stagnant, like the sound of a knife cutting into flesh…

At that moment, the howling that resounded through the heavens and earth abruptly ceased. In its place, an eerie rustling sound arose.

“Raining?”

As soon as these words left her mouth, Shui Dielan’s face changed. Both she and Li Xun were stunned by the torrential downpour before them.

The dark red color, the pungent smell… this was clearly a bloody rain!

The cessation of the howling did not signal the end of the shockwaves. On the contrary, as the bloody rain fell, the vital energy of heaven and earth within a thousand miles of the area screamed and crashed in a frenzy, shaking the massive barrier formed by hundreds of cultivators. However, it had no effect.

“She slit his throat…”

The vague reference conveyed a clear meaning. Both instinctively channeled their protective Qi to block the seemingly endless downpour, speechless for a moment.

At this moment, Li Xun had only one thought in his mind: Gu Yin, truly terrifying!

Meanwhile, the terrifying Ancient Yin had just put down her flute, turned to the demon phoenix, and smiled, “Mission accomplished!”

The demon phoenix’s expression was as still as water, unrecognizable, and she simply shook her head. “It’s only a small incision on Kunpeng’s neck. It’s a bit premature to call it ‘mission accomplished.'”

“I can only make a small incision, but with you and Qingluan taking action, everything will be fine. From now on, the Loose Cultivator Alliance will be completely under our control. Only then can our plan truly begin!”

Perhaps with excitement, a faint blush crept across Gu Yin’s elegant face, then faded. She extended her arm and smiled, “Now is the time to remove the last stumbling block. Please…”

Her smile froze as she saw the flash of surprise in the demon phoenix’s eyes, and saw Tianzhi’s fluttering figure reflected in them.

“Stop her!”

the Ice Demon Mother’s voice rang out in anger. In response, the several cultivators still guarding Gu Yin erupted in sword light, instantly surrounding him.

However, Tianzhi, who was charging forward, ignored all this. Her eyes were even lowered as she plunged straight into the sword light.

There was no sound of flesh tearing, and everyone present saw a flash of light. When their vision returned to normal, Tianzhi was less than five feet away from Gu Yin, within reach.

Gu Yin was obviously caught off guard and watched helplessly as Tianzhi’s sharp hand pierced through him.

At this time, the Ice Demon Lady who came from behind was still several feet away. Even if she could kill Tianzhi, she could not withstand such a fatal blow.

Just when the Ice Demon Lady could not help but curse, the Demon Phoenix made a move.

This unique master of fire control in the world made a move, and thousands of layers of flames intertwined and formed a dense layer before Gu Yin.

This thousand-fold barrier of fire, besides its astonishing defensive power, also released tiny flames with each crisscrossing strike, sharper than any divine weapon. If Master Tianzhi remained in her stance, her arm would be instantly shredded, consumed by the flames, leaving nothing behind!

But at that moment, Yaofeng saw Tianzhi’s eyes suddenly flash.

Tianzhi’s arm plunged directly into the flames. There was no shattering of limbs, only a faint sound of five-colored light, a faint “swish,” as it opened and closed.

In the flash of color, the flames suddenly died.

“How could this be?”

Yaofeng cried out, her reaction incredibly fast. With a cry, she crossed her arm in front of Gu Yin, her wrist swishing in a graceful circle. A blazing white flame spread before Tianzhi’s eyes like a sudden vortex.

With another swish, the five-colored light rose and fell. This time, the demon phoenix felt a far more tangible sensation. The sudden, bone-numbing weakness, coupled with the vast emptiness of dissolving to its limit, confirmed her suspicions.

“Five-colored divine light!”

The thought had barely crossed her mind when the pain in her arm spread to her entire body. She groaned, and amidst the incredulous gazes of those around her, she flew dozens of feet in a panic before barely stabilizing herself.

At that moment, the entire audience was silent.

The Venerable Tianzhi, who had been so wantonly humiliated, was gone forever!

She might still be shattered and wounded, but the soul charge that erupted in that instant, as sharp as a sword and as vast as an ocean, was like a slap in the face, slamming down upon all the fools who had just mocked her.

But Tianzhi ignored all this; her eyes only reflected Gu Yin’s figure. At this moment, nothing stood between her and Gu Yin. Their eyes locked, a tangle of emotions unreadable to anyone but themselves.

In the blink of an eye, Tianzhi slammed into Gu Yin’s center.

Gu Yin, holding her flute across her chest, watched Tianzhi charge forward, her form suddenly twisting. No one noticed the rapidly expanding black mist beneath her feet.

A piercing sound of ripping silk echoed through the air, rising higher and higher. As the sharp sound, now too sharp to be heard, suddenly distorted, the two figures seemed to intertwine, and the black mist beneath Gu Yin’s feet suddenly swirled upwards before solidifying.

The air seemed to quiet for a moment, but the tearing pain in their eardrums and the instantaneous evaporation of the icy mist around them told the onlookers that there was more to the situation than meets the eye. At

this moment, masters like the Three-Headed Dragon Monster and the Ice Demon Lady retreated without a second thought.

The others followed suit, retreating in droves. However, someone was still. A demon who had joined Kunpeng in the “rebellion” hesitated for a moment before suddenly froze.

Simultaneously, a space approximately ten feet in radius, centered around Gu Yin and Tian Zhi, suddenly collapsed.

This was, of course, a visual illusion, but the instantaneous burst of energy, tightly controlled within this confined space, had already plowed through the space a thousand times during the illusion!

To the onlookers, Gu Yin and Tian Zhi were indeed distorted, while the unfortunate individual, a step behind, gaped open-mouthed, yet no sound uttered. Half of his body had been forcibly “scooped” away in that instant, crumbling into slag!

In this eerie silence, a soft sound echoed in everyone’s ears: “Swish!”

This time, everyone could see clearly: five rays of light, arranged in blue, yellow, red, white, and black. With a single sound, everyone suddenly felt the pressure that had been suffocating them vanish without a trace, leaving the air so empty that it was almost unbearable to stand.

With a muffled groan, Gu Yin tumbled out like a rag doll.
