Chapter 881: Sixty-three years have passed

passed, and the Eldar have long since fallen. But despite this, Princess Arielion has never suffered such injustice in her long life.

She is no greenhouse flower. Despite the title of “Princess,” her privileged access to additional resources for cultivation comes with a greater and heavier responsibility.

The Eldar’s current state cannot support a truly pampered princess.

She has never failed to live up to her responsibilities.

Since embarking on the path of the Eldar sorcerer, she has consistently excelled. When the Ark Kingdom needed her, she braved fire and water without hesitation, shedding her blood in the fiercest battles for the survival of her race.

She believes that for her race, she is willing to do anything. Even the most dangerous missions, even those with a high risk of death, will not hesitate.

So, at the Queen’s command and inspired by the Great Prophet, she accepted a daunting mission, one that rested on the shoulders of her entire race’s survival. Following the goddess-forerunner, Lady Mevnir, she participated in the Battle of Kadia.

The Eldar’s limited strength was insufficient to reverse the outcome of the Battle of Kadia. The Chaos forces ultimately destroyed the world, leaving behind a horrific scar.

However, they did make a difference.

They successfully persuaded Archmagos Cawl and his companions to rescue them from the calamity of the Shattered Star, bringing them into the Webway—the Eldar’s name for the passageway carved between reality and the Warp, currently accessible only to the Eldar. Essentially, the Webway technology used by the Eldar is the same as that used by the Dark Eldar to travel across the physical universe through the “City of the Gap” of Commorra.

The only difference is that the Ark Eldar—the uncorrupted Eldar—do not possess a grand city like Commorra.

According to the original plan, after Mevnir, Arielian, and their group picked up Archmagos Cawl and several survivors of the Battle of Cadia, they were to proceed to the Supermarine in the Infinite Sector.

On that Infinite Warrior’s homeworld, a Son of God slept.

Robert had slept for ten thousand years. According to prophecy, he would awaken after ten thousand years.

Now, the time had come for him to awaken.

The Eldar had brought a gift. In the hands of Archmagos Cawl, the armor known as “Destiny” would save Robert’s life and awaken him from his endless slumber.

But only if they reached Supermarine safely.

However, the daemons of the Warp would not let them off so easily.

After they escaped into the Webway, the daemons followed them, pursuing them relentlessly.

Fighting and fleeing, they finally escaped their pursuit after a month of hard work, but they were also lost within the Webway. Despite the guidance of the goddess-herald Mevnir and the navigation of the foremost spirit witch princess, Arielion, they still couldn’t find a way out.

After another month of aimless wandering, they had to admit they were lost within the Webway.

In this situation, they had only one solution: to use prophecy and destiny to try to contact the one person most closely tied to the fate of the Eldar.

That person was Gu Jing.

Arielion planned to summon Gu Jing into her dreams, manipulate him briefly, and then, at a crucial moment, present herself as a savior and guide, earning their favor and establishing a good relationship. Then, using Gu Jing as a coordinate in the real world, she could lead them out of the Webway.

However, this strategy was shattered at the very beginning.

The spirit witch princess, who had always considered herself a formidable figure, suffered such a severe loss for the first time in her life.

When the image of the demon appeared behind Gu Jing, she already felt something was wrong; when Gu Jing raised his hand and grabbed the thread connecting her to this illusory space, she wanted to speak out to stop him.

However, before she could even begin to think about how to speak, how to begin, she was struck with shock.

From then on, she didn’t even get a chance to speak; she was constantly struck with shock.

This was the source of her frustration—she’d experienced setbacks and failures before her, but the person before her was the noble Spirit Witch Princess!

And yet, she wasn’t even given a chance to speak! Even more frustrating, after being forcibly transported into her dream by the Great Sage Kaul and rescued, she tried to say something to save face, but was stopped by Lady Maeve Nel—the goddess’s forerunner, though absent, had blocked her words in his mind.

Impulsiveness and arrogance shouldn’t ruin the future of the race.

That’s what Maeve Nel had said.

She also said that arrogance was the primary reason for the destruction of the Eldar’s great empire, and the subsequent decline to its current state.

Arielian disagreed, but what else could she do? She

kept her mouth shut.

But that didn’t stop her from glaring at Gu Jing with resentment, trying to make him feel her displeasure.

…

Gu Jing ignored the Eldar princess next to him who was nearly electrocuted by him.

After listening to the Great Sage Kaur’s story, he interrupted in surprise, “You’re saying that after the Battle of Kadia, you fled from the demons for a month, and then got lost for another month, so a total of two months?”

“Yes.” Kaur’s robotic voice was perplexed, as if wondering why he was asking.

“As far as I know, the Battle of Kadia was sixty-three years ago.”

Gu Jing’s voice was soft, but to their ears, it resonated like a resounding bell.

Six… sixty-three years?

Kaur was silent for a moment, as if digesting the news.

After a long pause, he finally spoke, “I didn’t expect that. The speed of time in the Webway and the Warp does differ from that in the real universe, but I didn’t expect it to be so drastic. In our perception, only about two months have passed.”

As he spoke, he pulled a timer from his red robe and showed it to Gu Jing.

The time written on it was indeed AE 10274.

In the Alliance’s newly compiled history textbooks, this year is prominently highlighted and clearly marked.

This is the year when the Battle of Cartier ended, the Fortress World was destroyed, the Scarlet Scar appeared, and the Age of Cataclysm began.

“Well, we shouldn’t dwell on that history,” another ethereal voice echoed. A woman in a simple white robe, floating barefoot, wearing a golden-blue olive tiara, and radiating a faint glow, appeared in the illusion before her.

“I am Maeve Neel, the forerunner of the Windsor Goddess. We desperately need your help, Mr. Gu Jing.”
