Starting from the Planetary Governor - Chapter 860

Chapter 854: The universe is burning!
The green storm that could make even the gods retreat, and the two green faces that flickered within it, emitting a sinister grin, represent two orcish gods.
They occupy a unique niche among the gods, which Gu Hang considers “racial gods.”
The four largest, as well as the “Primordial Raging Owl,” the first one he devoured, who was actually extremely weak among the lesser gods, can be called “conceptual gods.”
The difference between the two is as its name suggests.
The four evil gods, along with the many other evil gods that represent the Warp, are reflections of the emotions and spiritual destinations of the creatures of the real universe. They represent a series of
imaginary concepts, such as emotions, thoughts, trends, and the essence of the soul, forming “gods” within the Warp. In turn, the gods themselves reinforce these concepts, creating a positive cycle.
Belief in conceptual gods doesn’t matter their race, as long as they are intelligent beings.
However, there are some exceptions, such as the orcs.
The emotional fluctuations of orcs cannot be fed back to the evil gods of the Warp.
The fury of charging orcs, shouting “waaaaaaagh,” will not please a tyrant.
Orcs venting their anger with post-battle feasting and drinking will not be encouraged by sexual abuse.
The orcs’ immense vitality will not exacerbate the cycle of decay in their benevolent fathers.
Furthermore, the orcs have no connection to the scheming Lord of Change.
This is the racial characteristic of the green-skinned orcs, and it has given rise to racial gods dedicated to the orcs—they call them Gogo and Maogo.
These twin deities protect the orcs, and combined with their inherent racial characteristics, they are virtually immune to the corruption of Chaos. Furthermore, with the power of their deities, they too can master psychic powers (orc shamans), and they bless powerful orc leaders, the source of the blessings that make the orcs grow stronger with each victory.
Of course, it’s also true that the orcs possess such racial talents, which gave rise to racial gods with such authority.
As for Bonebreaker, the most powerful Ork in the known universe, known as the prophet of Gomao II, he received divine oracle and was charged with leading the Orks in the greatest Waagh ever!
Naturally, Gomao II would pay him attention.
He did not disappoint, achieving victory in the Ohmgerian War.
The Ork gods even personally congratulated him!
Bonebreaker, already incredibly powerful, would become even more powerful at this moment.
And this was the opponent Gu Hang would face next.
Thinking of this, Gu Hang sighed.
Bonebreaker’s own strength was already a formidable one. He was arguably the most formidable foe Gu Hang had ever faced. Even a God-like demon wouldn’t necessarily be a match for Bonebreaker.
Besides Bonebreaker, Gu Hang’s biggest concern was the two men racing and laughing wildly in the Warp, so powerful that even the gods had temporarily retreated.
If he couldn’t defeat Bonebreaker, that was fine. But if he did, wouldn’t those two shamelessly end up killing themselves?
It’s hard to say!
The Zerg’s Void Will is rational and cold, calculating gains and losses with a cold mind, making its behavior predictable.
But those two green-skinned brutes are anything but predictable.
A huge loss? A loss that doesn’t make up for the loss?
I’ll be damned if I lose my temper!
Besides, a Zerg Queen of a powerful tentacle fleet is just a Zerg Queen, not particularly unique. She lags in status compared to Bonebreaker, the strongest Ork in the known universe and a favorite of Gomoku.
If Bonebreaker were to face a mortal threat, there’s a good chance the two Ork racial gods would fall out.
This is what Gu Hang worries most.
But again, the arrow is on the string, and it must be released.
…
Across the boundless starry skies of the Ankachi VIII system, humanity achieved its first victory in the Great War.
The Void Zerg’s final fleet was annihilated, the Queen captured by Gu Hang, and the Ork pursuit fleet was largely wiped out. Only a few escaped, taking advantage of the chaos while the human fleet focused its primary target on the biological fleet.
The human side, while suffering fewer than twenty casualties, were mostly small vessels, a negligible loss compared to their total force of over three thousand.
The human army, having restored its fleet formation, sailed proudly towards Ankachi VIII.
Soon, Gu Hang’s forces arrived near the planet’s orbit.
Without delay or further preparation, the human army launched an immediate attack.
The window of opportunity theory still held true; now was the perfect time to launch an all-out assault on the Ork.
They had just achieved victory, and thanks to this epic victory, a successful waagh, the surviving Ork units, from top to bottom, were buoyed by a surge of morale, confidence, and strength. This was even reflected in their overall size, which had expanded considerably.
This was a very visible sign. For the Orks, green is beautiful, and big is strong.
But ultimately, they lost a lot of manpower in the previous war with the Zerg. No matter how fast the Greenskins replenish their troops, can they be as fast as the Zerg? Even the Zerg couldn’t make up for all their losses in a dozen days, let alone the Orks.
They had to wait for new mushrooms to grow if they wanted to replenish their forces. Only after such a great battle could the new mushrooms, watered, inherit and receive the fruits of victory, giving birth to new, greener and larger ones.
This all took time.
And the window of opportunity Gu Hang needed was to kill Broken Bone before any of this happened.
Naturally, there was no time to delay.
The first step was to divide up his forces and completely block the several jump points connecting Ankachi VIII to the outside world, preventing any further Ork reinforcements from arriving from other star regions.
Gu Hang’s main fleet allocated less than a thousand warships to this task.
But that’s not all.
The Darkside Crusade’s main western front force, with a total number of warships currently deployed in the Ohmgeria star system, has surpassed five thousand, approaching six thousand. Other fleets, after completing their missions such as clearing out Ork-occupied worlds, blocking Ork supply lines, and enforcing extermination orders on worlds completely overrun by the Greenskin ecosystem, will quickly rush to Ankachi VIII to join the blockade of the system.
In reality, these outlying battles have already begun.
The Bonebreaker King is certainly aware of the threat posed by the human army.
He’s not afraid.
If he were, he wouldn’t be the boss respected and worshipped by Greenskins throughout the universe.
But fearless or not, serious preparation for war is still essential.
His call to arms was sent out while Gu Hang was still focused on hunting down the Queen. The Omgeria sector was abuzz with activity. Greenskin armies from every planet, under the call of the Overlord, spurred on by a great victory and inspired by the prospect of another epic battle, roared forth, launching an all-out assault targeting Ankachi VIII!
Any human army standing in their way would be the first to be crushed.
Anyone who stood in our way of following the Overlord in battle would die!
But the human armies, having also received orders from the High Command to stop the Orks with all their might, refused to let the enemy go.
The Alliance navy, army, Space Marines, and other combat units, already part of the Expeditionary Force, were the undisputed main force. Furthermore, the forces recruited from the five surrounding sectors were also substantial. The human side had thrown its all into this war, even mobilizing many less-than-adequate Planetary Defense Forces during the recruitment process.
Their combat strength and will were questionable. However, the significance of this war was immense.
It wasn’t just about the Alliance—the Dark Side Expedition was so massive. While winning this battle was crucial, if they didn’t, they could simply return, regroup, and fight again. This was just the Western Front; they still had the Northern and Southern Fronts. The Alliance headquarters was still accumulating troops. They already controlled four demi-universes, giving them ample resources for war.
And what about the five major star regions? They were the closest to the Omgilia star region. If they lost this battle, the “greatest waaagh in the universe” predicted by King Bonebreaker might begin right here. They would be the first to suffer.
There would undoubtedly be instances of treachery, cowardice, and the like. After all, with a war of this magnitude and intensity, it was impossible to completely avoid it.
But overall, the forces forcibly mobilized from the five major star regions proved their worth.
Even the weakest defense forces served as cannon fodder. Filling the line, sacrificing themselves to hold off the Greenskins, buying time for other main forces, and even the most tragic and helpless, sacrificing themselves to incur as few Greenskin casualties as possible, even when there was no strategic value…
Moreover, the forces in the five major sectors were not all incompetent. The Ecclesiarchy, the Mechanicus, the Astra Militarum, the Imperial Chamber of Commerce guards, the mercenaries… there were always some exceptional units who fought with distinction.
And these feats will not be forgotten by the Alliance. The commendations due will be given, the records due will be recorded, and there will be rewards in the future.
On the ground, in orbit, at the warp point, in the vastness of deep space…
the ferocious battles set the entire Ohmgeria sector ablaze.
The closer to Ankachi VIII, the more intense the fighting.
And the fiercest point, naturally, was Ankachi VIII itself!
After confirming that the outer defense and interception strategy had been implemented and that the number of Greenskin reinforcements available was very small, Gu Hang unhesitatingly ordered an all-out attack on Ankachi VIII.
The orbital plane of the Ankachi VIII system erupted in excitement as the Human fleet approached!
Two Glorious Queens, leading numerous battleships and battlecruisers, launched their artillery formations. All lance arrays synchronized, blue-white beams piercing the Orks’ recently constructed makeshift defenses of space junk.
The Greenskins were helpless.
In the previous brutal war with the Zerg, the battle for planetary orbits had been fierce. Fixed orbital defenses had been largely destroyed. The junk stations now launched from the surface were practically worthless.
The Greenskin fleet had also managed to exploit the window of opportunity before the Human forces arrived by dragging meteorites from the outer reaches of the system to serve as cover, orbiting the planets. The resulting orbital defenses were ineffective.
For the Greenskins, they had done all they could in a short period of time. They had done their best.
But useless junk is still junk.
The Greenskin fleets hidden within the asteroid belt, along with weapon platforms hollowed out and repurposed from meteorites, were reduced to molten slag in the initial blow.
The combined firepower of the Glorious Queen and dozens of battleships was formidable!
But after the initial wave of Greenskin ships was destroyed, more Ork turrets, repurposed from asteroids and meteorites, rose from behind the debris field, weaving a chaotic yet dense network of spore torpedoes and crude laser beams.
The Greenskins would not surrender so easily, and their technology, techniques, and racial traits allowed them to rapidly produce a vast array of “junk” to join the battle.
The Greenskins were truly fast at building things.
Never mind reliability; if you wanted quantity, you’d have it all.
You couldn’t outmaneuver this Greenskin “junk” in orbit.
But the good news was that, after all, junk was still junk. At best, these newly emerged creatures could only cause minor trouble for the human fleet, demonstrating the Greenskins’ continued presence in orbit and discouraging the human fleet from recklessly bombarding the surface.
Beyond that, they were unrealistic in their ability to substantially prevent the human fleet from making further moves.
This was to be expected.
Upon receiving the order, an Alliance vanguard fleet quickly advanced, aiming to clear a path for the landing fleet.
Three assault formations composed of cruisers cut into the battlefield in a wedge formation, while numerous small, modified Greenskin vessels, unique to the Greenskins, swarmed from all sides.
These things were more like a fleet of disposable suicide weapons than ships.
Their purpose and function were purely for attack, with no thought for survival.
Their engines were simply high-energy rocket launchers. They were completely uncontrollable, unable to be stopped even if they wanted to; they could not be stopped until their fuel ran out. If we have to talk about controllability, it has some steering function at best, nothing else.
The biomass acid on the ship’s surface will break when it hits the shields and void shields, temporarily burning a small hole that allows them to drill in.
With the thrust of the rocket, the ship will truly explode like a rocket when it approaches the human ship, piercing the large drill bit on top into the human ship.
The middle and rear of the ship will also disintegrate in the explosion, exposing countless small landing pods inside, which will cling to the cruiser’s hull like locusts. The howling green boys will swarm out!
