Chapter 850: Head-grabbing

. Chen Yanqing failed to escape.

During the previous observation mission, his ship had come too close to Ankachi VIII’s orbit.

The look Broken Bone gave him wasn’t just an overreaction; it was a genuine glance.

His ship had indeed been exposed.

Consequently, under the frenzied siege of several Ork vanguards, his ship ultimately failed to reach the jump point and was ultimately destroyed by the pursuing large Ork vessels, resulting in his own death.

Had he been at his peak, perhaps the situation wouldn’t have been so dire. He certainly didn’t possess the might of Gu Hang, but as an A-rank psyker with a Relic-level psyker crown, he had a chance of eliminating the smaller vanguards that were harassing him before the larger Ork ships arrived.

That way, he wouldn’t necessarily be able to escape, but at least his chances would have been greatly increased.

However, his earlier attempts at close observation hadn’t just involved his ship getting too close; he had also expended a significant amount of his psychic energy to break through the blockade and obtain observation footage.

The terrifying Waaagh force field and the Warp shadows borne by the Zerg swarm fiercely intertwined, entangled, and clashed fiercely. In the midst of their conflict, how could it be possible to “intercept” psychic observation, even just to obtain a few fragmentary images?

Chen Yanqing’s vomiting of blood and bursting eyes throughout the observation phase were signs of the backlash.

Even his sacred-level psychic crown was damaged and cracked.

By the final stage of his escape, he was practically at the end of his rope, unable to secure a greater chance of escape.

Gu Hang still felt it was a pity.

He still admired Chen Yanqing, the Archmage from Holy Terra.

On the one hand, Gu Hang saw him as a representative of the Imperial Psionic Order, raised within the Alliance Storm Mage Corps, a symbolic symbol of the fusion of his two psychic powers.

On the other hand, he possessed even greater potential, with the potential to rise to the level of an S-rank psychic in the future.

What a pity…

Actually, if Gu Hang had desperately tried to save him, it wouldn’t have been impossible.

Chen Yanqing possessed a psychic crown.

Besides being a powerful psychic spellcasting artifact, its greatest value lay in the psychic connection between the crown and Gu Hang. Not only could it seamlessly circumvent various blockades, transmitting psychic information between the crown’s bearer and Gu Hang, but it also allowed Gu Hang to briefly descend upon the crown as a weakened avatar.

Even though the crown was nearing destruction, it wasn’t completely broken. Gu Hang’s avatar couldn’t survive a month or two like a full-fledged crown, but it could at least hold out for an hour or two.

Since the crown was already on its last legs, salvaging it and saving a promising psychic master seemed like a good idea.

Ultimately, however, Gu Hang chose not to proceed.

It was too dangerous, and if he struggled too long, he might be captured by the Bonebreakers arriving by boat.

If his avatar were to be destroyed, it would also be severely damaging to Gu Hang.

Under normal circumstances, that would be fine, but at this crucial moment, Gu Hang’s strength was the ballast that determined the human army’s victory. If he were accidentally injured before the decisive battle, it could potentially determine the fate of the entire war.

Furthermore, Gu Hang had his own agenda.

He needed to capture the Zerg Queen.

Based on the observation footage Chen Yanqing had sent back earlier, while the details weren’t entirely clear, some insights were possible.

The Zerg’s desperate struggle wasn’t blind. The Zerg Queen had somehow lured the Bonebreaker King out from the deepest Greenskin lines. At the crucial moment, the War Fortress he commanded plunged into the Zerg’s defenses, wreaking havoc.

This also symbolized his isolation.

Even though a large number of Greenskin units remained within the War Fortress, the defensive strength was undoubtedly different from that of those inside the lines.

This was a trap set by the Zerg, and they could even be considered successful.

The scene then shifts to show the three-headed Zerg Overlord, along with several Executioner Tyrants, under the cover of Neuron Zerg, breaking into the mobile war fortress and launching a decapitation operation against Bone Crusher.

The Zerg’s investment of strength was immense, and the plan a success.

However, whether the success of the strategy translates into ultimate victory is another matter.

The combat prowess displayed by this arguably the most renowned Greenskin king in the universe was truly extraordinary.

With the Zerg ambush already in place, supported by long-range bio-cannon bombardment, the three-headed Zerg Overlord, seven or eight Executioner Tyrants, and two Neuron Zergs continuously teleporting more Zerg beasts to surround Bone Crusher, isolating him from any support from the other Greenskin forces, the Zerg ambush was effectively broken! Bone

Crusher was likely injured in the process, as can be seen in the observation footage.

However, for the Greenskin King, such injuries were of little consequence. His powerful physique and the Ork’s racial talents allowed him to recover swiftly, at a visible rate.

Even more terrifying, after a hearty battle, he emerged victorious, his strength rapidly increasing under the bolster of the Waagh force field.

Gu Hang couldn’t help but grumble, “How could this be an ambush? Wasn’t it just the Zerg giving Boneshard experience to help him grow and hone his skills?”

The Zerg, on the other hand, had suffered a significant loss.

Top-tier units like the Zerg Overlord and Neuron Zerg couldn’t withstand significant losses. The Zerg could produce an endless supply of cannon fodder, but replenishing them would take a long time and likely require specialized, highly potent biomass. Such a

sudden loss would have crushed the Zerg.

Even with the Queen’s support, the deaths of these top-tier units wouldn’t have caused the Zerg to lose so many nodes that it would collapse. However, at least the Queen recognized one thing: she had failed.

Even this couldn’t kill Boneshard. She had no stronger means to slay the beast.

Furthermore, due to the heavy losses of its top-tier units, the Zerg would be at a significant disadvantage in the upcoming frontal battles, on the verge of collapse.

Human forces were outside, tightening their grip and encircling the enemy.

It was all over.

With no hope of victory, the Zerg Queen wanted to flee.

But escape?

It wasn’t that easy!

Even if she drastically sacrificed most of her already irretrievable troops as a last resort, her escape wouldn’t be easy.

Her core biological fleet, sailing conventionally, was fleeing into the boundless darkness of space. But closely behind them was Boneshard King’s fleet, relentlessly pursuing them, entangled and entangled, preventing her from escaping or moving faster.

The Orks’ racial talents were once again effective. They used the remains of the Zerg’s top-tier units and the debris of numerous ground-based Hives, dismantling them and piecing them together on their junk ships. These new vessels were exceptionally effective in tracking and attacking Zerg biological fleets.

If the greenskins continue to chase like this, they will sooner or later catch up with the Queen Worm and kill her.

How could Gu Hang let this happen?

The Queen Worm is delicious and a great tonic.

What’s more, if Broken Bones destroys the Queen Worm, he will become even more powerful.

Gu Hang is already feeling tricky when encountering Broken Bones at this level. If he gets any stronger, it will be very troublesome. It is

particularly important to get the Queen Worm’s head before the greenskins.

Just as Chen Yanqing had expected at the end, the Queen of Glory battleship tore through the curtain of the warp soon, and landed in the Ankachi VIII system with a huge human fleet.

The fully powered navigation engines guided the huge human fleet, temporarily skipping the planet itself, and chasing the Zerg fleet that was entangled with the greenskin fleet and fleeing in the depths of the universe.
