Chapter 759, Alliance Values

Chairman Zuo Zhaofeng’s close political alliance with the Alliance, coupled with the Dragon Eagle Star Region’s robust economic strength, has established numerous shared interests, becoming a core element in the Alliance’s efforts to build influence in the Eastern Universe.

This has also created favorable conditions for the Alliance’s cultural outreach to the Eastern Universe.

With increased economic and political exchange, high-end consumer goods produced by the Alliance have entered the Eastern Universe market,

particularly luxury goods.

The Dragon Eagle Star Region boasts highly developed industrial capabilities across many sectors, including agriculture. Among the planets recaptured from the Greenskins, some boasted favorable environments, boasting thousands of miles of fertile land. After the Greenskins were eliminated, the sparsely populated areas where these settlers resided often offered opportunities for large-scale farming and agriculture. This vast food output not only provided military rations, but also allowed for transport to industrial planets for food rations. Furthermore, there was a significant surplus of supplies available for taxation.

However, using low-quality food to pay taxes was a significant loss, as the revenue was limited. However, processing primary agricultural products into high-quality foods with a variety of flavors is far superior. Furthermore, when agricultural products are plentiful, traditional winemaking methods can be practiced lavishly.

The resulting red wines and fine spirits are far superior to industrial alcoholic beverages produced by the food industry, with a far superior taste.

Civilians and ordinary soldiers might not be able to afford them, but those above the middle class, and even the powerful, can easily afford them.

The value of these products is of little use in paying Imperial taxes, which do not impose high prices on luxury goods. However, exporting them to the powerful within the Eastern Universe is a good option.

Luxury cars and hovercrafts from the developed vehicle manufacturing industry; custom-made interstellar cruise ships from the shipbuilding industry; and clothing and accessories crafted by artisans in the textile industry using leathers grown from the expensive aquaculture industry and

surplus refined gold… These items have become popular in the Eastern Universe. Their popularity stems not only from their high quality and scarcity, but also largely from cultural influence.

The Alliance’s publicity department tirelessly promotes the Alliance’s values throughout the Eastern Universe. The most important means is literary and artistic production.

Across the Empire, Holy Terra, humanity’s home planet, is unanimously recognized. What’s popular on Holy Terra easily has a significant impact elsewhere.

Some products, lifestyles, and fashion trends may be slower to spread. After all, even for popularity to be popular, there needs to be substance. However, popular literary and artistic works are much easier to replicate.

A series of films about the Iron Armor War, praising Gu Hang and the Alliance lifestyle, are a hit on Holy Terra, and their success elsewhere is even more apparent.

These films, featuring alcohol, cigarettes, clothing, utensils, decorative styles, luxury brands…everything is intentionally integrated into Alliance products during production.

It’s not a forced advertisement, but that luxury brand cigarette Governor Gu is considering, should he have one too?

Even though Gu Hang doesn’t smoke, that doesn’t stop him from endorsing it.

This is the favorite brand of true Imperial heroes and High Lords!

And thanks to its advanced agricultural production, its quality is indeed exceptionally high.

Using similar methods, the Alliance’s products have a natural advantage in finding sales channels.

These consumer goods and literary works, taken together, have a profound cultural impact on all classes of society in the Eastern Universe.

Add to that increased economic ties and political ties… these three combined forces have shaped what we call “Alliance values.”

These values have an influence even on Holy Terra. The inhabitants of Holy Terra are all citizens of the Imperial Capital, so what haven’t they seen? They’re all sold on the Alliance’s tactics, not to mention even those in the borderlands of the Eastern Universe.

The results are truly remarkable.

Of course, the impact of “Alliance values” isn’t as direct as military action.

It’s a subtle, gradual process.

Furthermore, no matter how much they promote values, it’s impossible to transform the entire Eastern Universe into an alliance.

However, as long as this peaceful evolution continues, and the Alliance can maintain its strength, the future prospects will be quite promising.

There’s no need to transform the Eastern Universe into an alliance.

Sometimes, direct rule isn’t necessarily as advantageous as indirect “colonization.”

The advantage of direct rule is that it allows for full mobilization of human and material resources within the region, allowing for the development of the region to their desired direction.

However, direct rule also places a significant political and financial burden on the Alliance, much like the Alliance’s reliance on the Spider Web Universe.

Indirect influence is harder to mobilize and prevents development, but it also doesn’t carry the same significant burden. With the growing economic ties between the two sides, while not necessarily plundering, the Alliance will profit immensely. The Eastern Universe will become a dumping market and a source of raw materials for the Alliance.

With enough money earned, the Alliance will have more funds to invest in its own development, to pay taxes, and to support its military…

With the Eastern Universe filled with Alliance allies, and a series of economic agreements already signed or in the process of being signed, signing a series of military mutual assistance agreements will become a matter of course.

In the event of a war, the Eastern Universe will easily side with the Alliance,

as long as it’s not against the Imperial Center.

But that’s not necessarily the case.

If the ties between the two sides become sufficiently deep, perhaps even if the Alliance falls out with the Imperial Center, the Eastern Universe will still side with them.

At the very least, the Alliance’s forces will not face particularly strong resistance when they march south.

Just like during the Iron Armor War, when the Iron Armor Legion launched its attack from the Princess Star Region, the Imperial forces within the Spider Web Universe were practically shattered at the first contact. While this was certainly due to the inherent disparity in strength between the two sides, it was also a reflection of the Iron Armor’s centuries-long influence throughout the Spider Web Universe, which made many forces within the Spider Web Universe unwilling to fight to the death.

Now, the Alliance has a larger size and greater advantages than Iron Armor, so it is not difficult to achieve a similar level.

But no matter what, the core of expanding influence outwards still needs to be strong enough.

A good iron must be strong before it can be forged.

The sustainable development of the Alliance is the most important. If you can’t maintain strong economic, political, and military capabilities, then everything will be in vain.

And when Gu Hang returned to the Dragon Eagle Star Region and returned to his home base, the Angry Owl Star, the first thing he saw was Osena, the Prime Minister of the Alliance, leading many high-level officials of the Alliance government, to conduct a government work report to the Alliance leader who had been away for two and a half years, almost three years.
