Starting from the Planetary Governor - Chapter 700
Chapter 698: Destruction of Rheaduches (Thirteen)
Whether it was the Thunder Bear or the Heroic Einherjar, all were Gu Hang’s work.
Back in the Battle of Bowen, he could carry a single Neurozoan and launch hundreds of thousands of Heroic Einherjar onto the enemy’s mechanical arks, supporting them in battle.
Although the Neurozoan back then was controlled and enslaved, unable to fully unleash its combat potential, it was far inferior to the situation Gu Hang faced today, having to simultaneously fight two fully-fledged, almost frantic, Neurozoans.
However, Gu Hang is no longer the same person he was before. After consuming multiple Neurozoans and replenishing his energy, his psychic power and the power of the Storm Kingdom are far greater than before.
When simultaneously fighting two Neurozoans at their peak, even frantic and reckless, Gu Hang not only maintains a complete advantage, but even has enough energy left to tear open a rift in the Warp and deploy Heroic Einherjar to sustain their battle needs.
In fact, even the Heroic Einherjar have become even more powerful.
The hundreds of thousands of ordinary Heroic Elves, similar in size and quality to those at the Battle of Bovan, were a new phenomenon.
Each one possessed the combat power of a Saint Master Worm. Though their numbers were relatively small, only about seventeen or eighteen, fewer than the Zerg Bio-Titans, their fierce attacks from left and right managed to halt the Bio-Titans.
Even though the Queen of Zerg, desperate, seemed to order the Bio-Titans and the lower-level Zerg creatures to charge in recklessly, they couldn’t break through the barrier in a short period of time.
Meanwhile, on the psychic battlefield, Gu Hang had already achieved a crucial victory.
A Neurozoan was defeated, ripped apart by Gu Hang’s psychic power.
In an instant, the surviving one was completely destroyed.
If two Zergs couldn’t withstand the pressure, what could it do alone?
It couldn’t hold out and would be finished in a matter of breaths.
The Queen of Zerg realized this
and activated the Warp Shadow, attempting to isolate Gu Hang.
On this point, the Void Zerg were truly cheating. When the Zerg had a psychic advantage, they unleashed the Warp Shadows, engaging in asymmetric combat; when they were at a disadvantage, they used the Warp Shadows to block psychic energy and engage in a fair fight.
How shameless!
But they had no such aspirations; they would naturally act this way.
Especially when it came to this life-threatening situation.
But…
“You’re not going to play anymore?”
Gu Hang sneered, pouring out all his psychic energy.
Even under the suppression of the Warp Shadows, he still managed to channel his psychic power onto the surface of Readuches.
This power wasn’t overwhelming; the Warp Shadows were still formidable. The surviving Neurozoan beside the Zerg Queen couldn’t even radiate a single psychic force.
Gu Hang certainly couldn’t sustain the Heroic Elves’ army in the Warp Shadows.
But that didn’t matter; as long as he could activate the Burning Sky torpedo’s detonator, he’d be all that mattered.
When the flames appeared, the nearest Void Zerg had already come within a hundred meters of the Burning Sky torpedo.
And this, in turn, became an insurmountable barrier.
The flames expanded at supersonic speed, completely engulfing the surrounding battlefield in less than a breath.
The vast Zerg army was instantly carbonized by the thousands of degrees of heat.
Along with them, the few surviving human soldiers were incinerated in the flames.
The relentless flames and heat cared nothing for what they devoured, only engulfing all air and fragile structures at an ever-increasing speed.
Gu Hang had already withdrawn his psychic powers and quietly gazed at the yellow-green planet in the distance.
A minute or two later, Gu Hang spotted a flash of fire. Compared to the entire planet’s surface, it was no more than a tiny bean.
Yet, it continued to expand at a visible rate.
Twenty minutes later, half of the side of the planet Gu Hang could see was already ablaze.
An hour later, the sea of fire had spread throughout the planet’s atmosphere, burning every inch of Readuches’ land.
The entire planet would become a fiery ‘fireball’ blazing in the universe.
The planet’s atmosphere and oceans were ablaze, along with every living thing and ignitable object on the planet.
This burning would last for a month before gradually cooling down. By then, nothing but embers would remain on the planet’s surface.
And just as the entire planet was engulfed in flames, the Tyranid Queen, who had been immersed in the intense flames for over fifteen minutes, finally fell silent.
The most direct manifestation of this was the Tyranid bio-ships, engaged in combat with the Imperial Navy near the planet’s outer orbit. One by one, they ceased movement, firing only instinctively. However, if moved even slightly further away or repositioned, out of direct observation, they would freeze in their tracks.
Another sign was the rapid dissipation of the enveloping Warp shadow.
These two signs confirmed the Queen’s death.
The human fleet began moving, clearing out the Hive bio-ships in orbit.
The Hive bio-ships were undoubtedly closer to the planet than the human fleet. When the planet ignited, many were swept in.
However, some, further out, remained.
However, once completely disabled, these bio-ships became significantly more manageable, easily destroyed without much loss of life.
Gu Hang didn’t even consider this kind of battle worth paying attention to.
His attention remained on the surface of Rheaduches.
The burning flames were a significant threat, significantly interfering with psychic detection. Even Gu Hang would have to wait until the flames cooled.
In fact, the Queen’s final action surprised him a little.
It wasn’t the final struggle.
That was normal.
But what happened after the struggle failed?
The Queen seemed to have accepted her fate.
But in fact, Gu Hang thought she would struggle a few more times.
She had several windows to escape to the biological ship in orbit.
Although, in theory, the Queen’s body is very large, it is a complex and huge body that needs to be maintained for functions such as hatching and gene editing. And if she wants to take action, she can just throw away all the unnecessary things, travel light, and get on the biological ship and run away.
Of course, she can’t really run away.
Without the threat of ground-based orbital guns, the human fleet, which is much stronger than the Zerg fleet, will destroy her in space in the subsequent pursuit. She will definitely not be able to hold on until she can meet up with the support army from the “tentacles”.
She should understand it herself.
But, even if you understand it, why not try it?
