Chapter 653, Let Me See How You Win

within the Alliance’s territory. The Infested’s reckless riots, biomass conversion, and bio-evolved ships ultimately proved fruitless.

The so-called “less than 5% of biomass lost” wasn’t enough to spawn a formidable number of Zerg, at least not for the Alliance.

The Void Zerg were driven to this point, in large part due to the Alliance’s relatively successful strategy of controlling and eliminating the Infested in the Jingjie and Alfonzo sectors. If the Zerg didn’t take any action, in a few years, they wouldn’t be able to consume even 5% of the biomass, let alone the entire 5%. The

5% of biomass within the Infested’s territory was roughly equivalent to the depleted resources of an average planet.

However, for the Alliance, two sectors were equivalent to a complete planetary destruction,

so it wasn’t a big deal. Then, wouldn’t the sectors on the northern and western fronts be doomed?

Under Gu Hang’s orders, the Alliance’s intelligence department took three actions.

First, we need to estimate how much the Void Zerg could consume under the current worst-case scenario.

Alliance intelligence believes they could consume at least 50% of the area under their control.

This is ten times the Alliance’s share.

But the bigger problem is that, after the Alliance’s previous fierce attacks, the number of worlds in the Nepeta and Alfonzo sectors that can truly be considered infested may be less than eighty. Of these eighty, the average area and population controlled is probably only about 30%.

However, on the northern and western flanks, these combined figures are at least several times higher. Perhaps eight hundred worlds are infested, and the average level of control will be even higher.

Alliance intelligence organizations generally believe that, under this scenario, the total biomass consumed by the Zerg could be equivalent to the complete consumption of one hundred and fifty worlds.

This doesn’t even include the Empress Sector,

where the situation is clearly several times worse.

So, what size of Zerg swarm would this level of infestation spawn?

The northern and western flanks would be devastated!

The second thing the Intelligence Department did was to immediately contact all Alliance intelligence personnel assigned to the northern and western flanks, instructing them to investigate local Zerg infestation reports and closely monitor for incidents similar to those on Chituru VI.

The results were unsettling. The

good news was that the star regions on the northern and western flanks hadn’t yet seen large numbers of bio-ships evolving and rising from the ground.

The unsettling news was that the intelligence personnel had indeed discovered some digestion pools and ducts.

This seemed to suggest that the problem was still manageable. A quick response would at least minimize the damage.

However, intelligence analysts believed this was merely an illusion.

Why rush to “eat”? Because the infestation on these worlds could progress further; the infected could still be fully digested, unlike on Alliance-controlled worlds, where they would be left with nothing to eat if they didn’t eat quickly.

The Zerg’s instructions gave them ample time to consume more, evolve bio-ships, and carry off the food they had consumed.

From this perspective, the news was undeniably bad.

The third task was to urgently integrate all the intelligence mentioned above, including those occurring within the Alliance, external data on current situations, and analyst reports, and quickly send it to the commanders on the western and northern fronts, and even to Holy Terra.

Gu Hang also included his own opinions on these reports, stating with great seriousness that this was a serious and enormous crisis, far more serious than a simple Iron Armor Rebellion. He hoped that all parties would pay close attention to these issues and strive to find solutions.

Gu Hang had no idea how the three parties he had warned would react.

He only hoped that these leaders would take it seriously and stop being so confused.

But that was all he could do.

He also had his own priorities.

First, he dispatched the Alliance’s patrol fleets to search for the escaped bio-ships. He also instructed all Alliance fleets to destroy them with all their might if they found any trace of them.

Taking advantage of the fact that these bio-ships, evolved solely to transport biomass and possessing virtually no combat power, they needed to be taken down as quickly as possible.

Destroying them now would be easy, but once the biomass had transformed into actual biological warships and Zerg armies, it would be far more difficult and costly to destroy them.

Furthermore, he urgently mobilized troops and construction personnel to the borders of the Nepeta and Alfonzo star regions, and the Empress star region, to construct defensive structures.

He even went so far as to dismantle star fortresses from distant worlds and tow them to the borders to reinforce the defenses.

Gu Hang was preparing for the worst-case scenario.

If the situation within the Empress star region spiraled out of control and a truly formidable Zerg hive fleet emerged, he would do his best to stop them at the borders.

Of course, this assumes victory.

If the enemy proves too powerful, Gu Hang will abandon them.

Although Jingjie and Alfonzo are now considered his territory, they aren’t core Alliance territory. If absolutely necessary, he can abandon them.

Even the Proud Claw star field is within his grasp.

But Gu Hang truly doesn’t want to go that far.

If the Alliance forces can’t stop the enemy in Jingjie and Alfonzo, then let them in and take advantage of those two star fields. Then, when the Zerg swarm moves south and truly threatens their core territory, it will inevitably become even more powerful.

How will they be stopped then?

The thought of this irritated Gu Hang.

Then, the responses from the Western Front, the Northern Front, and Holy Terra only further irritated him.

“What a bunch of Zerg!”

he cursed.

Holy Terra replied that they were aware of the situation and would carefully investigate it.

That was all.

Chapter Commander Salilius on the Western Front said he was aware of the situation and would monitor it closely. He also said he would pause his advance to check on the situation.

This was somewhat normal, though it wasn’t what Gu Hang had hoped for, where they could withdraw immediately and go back to clean up the mess before a major outbreak, but at least it seemed there was still hope.

By comparison, Marshal Leroy on the northern front was what most displeased Gu Hang.

Leroy said their main force was already not far from the enemy’s core and was about to win. Everything else depended on winning.

“Win? Let’s see how you win!”
