Chapter 649, Seven Extermination Orders

were issued against the Forge World of Fengao, Gu Hang felt deeply distressed.

On Aramita, he had already experienced the invaluable value of a Forge World’s industrial foundation.

The virus bomb’s technical complexity was considerable, but beyond the black box, the mechanics had quickly developed a production line capable of small-scale mass production.

Otherwise, the battlefields of Barosia wouldn’t have been so smooth.

Even if the same situation had occurred in Gu Hang’s homeland, where he had spent decades building the Angry Owl, Winged Star, and Koroja formation, the core of the Alliance’s rule, it wouldn’t have been possible to accomplish so quickly.

Cutting-edge facilities, a comprehensive industrial chain, and an abundance of highly skilled personnel… these are the unique advantages of a Forge World, difficult to replicate elsewhere in a short period of time.

A Forge World’s output, at full capacity, is equivalent to that of an entire star region.

Barosia’s fate was already quite tragic, with heavy casualties. Those members of the Mechanicus had driven themselves to ruin, leaving only a few loyalists left. The planet’s vast industrial infrastructure would likely have been severely damaged in the war.

Regardless, some foundations will remain. Rebuilding will take some effort, but as long as peace prevails, it’s manageable.

Gu Hang wouldn’t have issued an extermination order against Fengao if he hadn’t been forced to do so.

However, there are truly no native loyalists on Fengao. Perhaps they exist, but unreachable and ineffective, they’re as good as nonexistent. And for the Alliance to attack despite its comprehensive defenses, it would be nearly impossible.

While it could be conquered, the cost would be too heavy, the time would be too long, and the damage to the planet would be immense. The cost of reconstruction would be far higher than even that

of Barossia. Furthermore, there are a large number of infected, former members of the Mechanicus, who control extensive production facilities, capable of continuously churning out powerful equipment to equip the infected and even build ships.

This threat alone is significant, but what’s even more worrying is if they fully transform into a swarm, with tens of billions of people utilizing all the organic biomass on the planet?

Given these factors, the extermination order becomes a lasting option.

There was no use for the Earth-Blasting Star Destroyer.

It hadn’t been produced yet.

And there was no need for it.

The Burning Sky Torpedo was enough.

But the bigger problem was how to launch the Extermination Order weapon.

If it was thrown down foolishly, it would definitely be intercepted.

The Alliance fleet besieging Fengao requested support. The Eagle Horse aircraft carrier, carrying most of the Storm Mage Regiment, was transferred from Barossia.

The Alliance ships launched a fierce attack on Fengao, attracting most of the orbital firepower. Then, a large number of ground bombing missiles disguised as Burning Sky Torpedoes began to be launched onto the ground.

These bombing missiles attracted most of the defensive firepower.

Although the infected on the surface did not know that they were about to be launched against the Extermination Order, they at least knew that these missiles with destructive power were fired at the surface artillery group. If one of them landed, their anti-orbital artillery system would be severely damaged.

Once Fengao’s firepower had been drawn away, the Hippogriff dispatched a destroyer to the maximum distance from Fengao’s surface. It was then that the true ‘Incineration Torpedo’ was launched.

Actually, there were more than one. While the Incineration Torpedo was expensive, and only one explosion was needed to be effective, since it had already been launched, the goal was complete destruction. Regardless of the cost, success had to be guaranteed. After all the preparations, the necessary safeguards still needed to be implemented during this final stage of deployment.

The destroyer launched in launched two missiles. Meanwhile, three more were mixed in with the ground-attack missiles.

It’s unclear which of the Burning Sky torpedoes exploded in Feng’ao’s atmosphere, but its detonation meant the mission was accomplished.

The Federation fleet suffered heavy losses in this attack. For example, the destroyer launched by the Hippogriff at close range to fire the Burning Sky torpedo failed to withdraw and was destroyed by the ground orbital system.

During the Alliance’s all-out assault, the entire fleet remained close to draw sufficient firepower. One battleship was damaged, and two cruisers destroyed.

But at least the threat from Feng’ao had been completely neutralized. From space, the Alliance could watch as the planet transformed into a massive fireball within hours.

Raging flames blazed throughout the planet’s atmosphere, consuming the entire surface. Temperatures soared, scorching for over ten days before the flames faded. It took nearly a month for the planet to cool.

By this time, the main Alliance forces had long since departed, but small surveillance vessels remained nearby, monitoring the implementation of the extermination order.

They approached cautiously and encountered no attack.

The ground had been reduced to charred ruins. Only a few buildings and facilities, remarkably resistant to the intense heat, retained a subtle resemblance of their original appearance. Everything else had been reduced to ash.

Orbital starports, star fortresses, and armed space stations had also failed to survive. They were too close to the surface, and when the atmosphere incinerated to a certain degree, they were also affected and crashed to the ground.

The departing main force of the Alliance fleet headed for another location where Gu Hang had signed the extermination order to carry out their mission.

After Feng Ao’s destruction, the Alliance used astronomical broadcasts to broadcast the news as frequently as possible to the fifty nearby planets that could no longer be contacted.

The loyalists on those planets might not be able to communicate with the Alliance in the stars, but they would certainly receive the message.

Upon hearing of Feng Ao’s fate, these loyalists were deeply concerned.

No matter what they thought before, or whether there were any objective difficulties, they had to contact the Alliance as soon as possible, otherwise they were very worried about Fengao’s fate, which would be their fate.

No one wants to be buried with a group of infected people.

Those who were wavering began to actively contact the Alliance.

The loyalists, who were in a very difficult situation objectively, tried their best to contact the Alliance.

Facts have proved that as long as you are willing to think,

there will always be a way. The world where no solution can be found proves that there are no loyalists, or the strength of the loyalists is really too weak.

And if the population of this world is relatively dense, or the ecological environment is relatively good, in order to avoid becoming food for the swarm, Gu Hang will sign an extermination order for this world.

One after another, Gu Hang signed seven.
