Chapter 1033: Never Fight Alone

Bassol’s rage exploded like a supernova, driving the broken Universal Furnace. In the chaotic background of the warp, it bit the tail of the Kingdom of Storm God tightly.

After an unknown amount of time, he finally caught up.

Bassol immediately urged the Universal Furnace and slammed into it!

The breach in the Gear Sky was still flowing with molten metal and filthy energy, but the “Universal Furnace” itself had now turned into the most violent battering ram. Every space jump was accompanied by a roar that tore through dimensions, determined to completely smash and dismantle the Kingdom of Storm God, and throw Gu Hang into the eternal, blasphemous core of the furnace!

“Coward! Thief! You have nowhere to escape!” Bassol’s will turned into billions of sharp mechanical noises and blasphemous roars, impacting the borders of the Kingdom of Storm God.

His massive body once again extended countless gigantic tentacles composed of energy, twisted laws, and adamantium. Skipping any tentative steps, he leaped across the void and lashed out at the Storm Kingdom, carrying an absolute will of destruction to shatter stars and annihilate divine kingdoms.

Wherever the tentacles passed, the indigo thunderclouds surrounding the Storm Kingdom melted and disintegrated as if drenched in acidic ice and snow.

Gu Hang had no intention of withstanding Bassol’s attack.

Just as he had rammed the Storm Kingdom into the Crucible of All Things, blasting a massive hole in the sky above the Creator’s kingdom, Bassol’s onslaught had been long in the making.

Resisting it head-on was not an option.

Within the Storm Kingdom, thunder rolled, and the temple shook. Countless gleaming runes, instead of projecting a defensive barrier outward, collapsed inward.

This formed a gravitational trap, like a vast, invisible, sticky spiderweb, or the edge of a greedy black hole’s event horizon, actively “embracing” and guiding the tentacles carrying destructive energy!

Bassol was puzzled.

He felt his attack not strike the Storm Kingdom’s main body as intended, but instead, as if mired in sticky glue, tugged away from its target by a powerful, bizarrely directed pull. The trajectory of those tentacles, powerful enough to disintegrate everything, was forcibly deflected, the vast destructive energy absorbed and deflected by the strange gravitational trap.

Some of this energy was absorbed by the trap itself, like a stone sinking into the ocean. Other energy, guided skillfully by Gu Hang, was like a plucked string, whistling along the trap’s tangent, whistling into the void depths of the Warp, or, worse still, colliding with some unfortunate Warp entity nest passing by, triggering a violent secondary energy storm.

“Use my power, consume me?”

Bassol instantly understood Gu Hang’s intention, fueling his fury.

He immediately attempted to maneuver his tentacles free from the damned gravitational trap.

But the trap’s stickiness was beyond imagination, as if it were glued to the tentacles’ energy structure.

To force his way out would tear apart his own power structure, inflicting secondary damage; continuing to attack would simply fuel Gu Hang’s trap, futilely consuming precious divine energy.

Gu Hang chose not to confront him head-on, but instead exploited his eagerness for revenge, his frenzied power, and his diminished control due to the damage done to his kingdom. He set up a massive “funnel,” negating most of Bassol’s onslaught, while a small portion was absorbed by the kingdom itself or converted into energy to sustain the trap.

The pressure on the Storm Kingdom suddenly decreased, and it quickly stabilized.

Having neutralized the first and most intense wave of attacks, Gu Hang knew it was only a temporary respite.

Ba’thor would adjust, find a way to break the trap. He had to seize this moment, while the enemy’s strength was further weakened by the previous heavy blow and this ineffective attack, to complete the most crucial step—severing the connection between Ba’thor’s invading force and his true form, firmly “pinning” it within the Storm Divine Realm!

“It’s time.”

Atop the lightning spike, Gu Hang’s true form clasped his hands together. The immense thunder power accumulated by the Storm Divine Realm no longer poured outward, but instead concentrated and compressed inward.

A miraculous point of light emerged between his palms, emitting a wave of energy that sent even Ba’thor’s heart pounding.

At the same time, at the edge of the Storm Divine Realm, the indigo-colored barrier of thunderclouds that had once served as a defense suddenly collapsed inward and reorganized! Countless radiant chains composed of pure order runes, like the roots of a divine tree growing from the void, instantly entangled and locked onto Ba’thor’s energy tentacles, deeply embedded in the “gravitational trap” and struggling to break free!

“I’ve got you, Creator!”

The chains struck directly at the core of Ba’thor’s power!

Bassol’s tentacles spasmed and twisted violently, the chaotic laws that formed them frozen and solidified by their chains. Their connection to the Warp’s background and to their main body, far away in the Crucible of All Things, was violently severed!

“No! You won’t imprison me!” Bassol screamed in terror and fury.

He felt as if this part of his power had been plunged into sticky, solidifying cement, its connection to the main body becoming extremely weak and unstable. He frantically mobilized his strength, trying to detonate this part of the tentacle and forcibly break free.

However, this was the moment Gu Hang had been waiting for!

The singularity he had concentrated between his palms was instantly pressed into the core of the lightning in the Storm Kingdom! An invisible yet thick, stable force field, centered on Gu Hang, spread out, instantly enveloping the entire invaded area of the Storm Kingdom!

Like a vast insulating layer, this force field not only blocked the encroachment of the outer Warp but also exerted a terrifying suppression on the alien existence within!

Under these double constraints, Bassol, the invading embodiment of the original power, was completely and firmly imprisoned within the Storm Kingdom!

His connection to the Crucible of All Things was weakened to the point of being almost untenable!

Bassol, there was no going back!

Gu Hang’s expression remained calm.

He knew that simply leaving Bassol alone wouldn’t yield much.

Even if he slew and devoured his so-called true self, all he would receive was a sliver of the Warp’s essence.

While certainly beneficial, it would be a significant boost, but far from a qualitative transformation.

This small gain alone wasn’t enough to satisfy Gu Hang.

Bassol’s essence lay in his title of ‘Creator’ and within his divine kingdom, the Crucible of All Things.

Therefore, conquering the kingdom was Gu Hang’s greatest desire!

However, while Gu Hang had controlled Bassol’s true self, his power was currently limited there.

However, Gu Hang wasn’t alone.

He was a ruler!

He wouldn’t, and didn’t, need to, fight alone!

As early as when he decided to bite back, he sent out a call to the real universe!

The previous game of chase with Bassol, in addition to confirming that no other existence in the subspace interfered, was also to gather many useful forces in the real universe.
