Among the thousands of hives on this human capital planet, Indiani is not particularly outstanding.

Then came the Battle of Terra.

This war was a devastating disaster for every powerful family on Holy Terra, and the Kafiora were no exception.

Within the Indiani Hive, a serious outbreak of Chaos corruption also occurred.

But they did one thing right, which significantly changed the fate of their entire family, unlike those utterly destroyed during the Battle of Terra.

They refused to join the corrupted forces, but decisively exterminated their family, executing those corrupted by Slaanesh. They also shouldered the responsibilities of nobility, leading the people of Hive Indiania in the fight against Chaos.

Although, during the final, widespread outbreak of Chaos corruption and the climax of the Siege of Terra, they were unable to contain the corruption within the city and were forced to retreat into the shadows, they never gave up their resistance. They continuously cleansed their own ranks, rescued the civilians, and successfully persevered through the counterattack, even providing some assistance to the Imperial forces entering Indiania.

Their efforts were rewarded after the war. While numerous family members perished in the Chaos Wars, those who survived rose to high-ranking positions. Not only did they secure numerous positions within Indiania’s own government, many also held high positions in the central government.

When the Imperial Central Government and the Holy Terra Capital Government were established, officials had to be drawn from the region’s powerful families to ensure a healthy local presence.

This was a necessary compromise for the sake of political stability.

And since this compromise was necessary, why not use a family like the Kafiora?

Because of this, they enjoyed a period of prosperity.

While it might be a change of fortune, even great chaos presents great opportunities!

Just as the entire family was jubilant and full of energy, tragic news arrived.

An entire team of elite Arbitral Tribunal soldiers, without warning, surrounded the Kafiora family’s residence. The family was in disbelief at this sudden attack—they were not considered local tyrants in Indiani, but they were deeply entrenched.   It was astonishing that they

had received no news of the Arbitral Tribunal’s actions beforehand. Even more baffling was their reason for harassing them.   They even briefly suspected that they were aiding Chaos traitors, disguised as members of the Imperial Arbitral Tribunal.   Of course, this possibility was quickly ruled out. They quickly confirmed the identities of the visitors; they were indeed members of the Ministry of Justice. Their leader was Angel Granger, a rising star. Coming from the Alliance, she had risen directly to become one of the Imperial Ministry’s Special Stewards, and in just a year, she had unleashed numerous major cases. Many families, having weathered the devastation of the Terran War, had fallen to this “female demon.”   But the Kafiora family could never have imagined that Angel would one day turn on them.   Logically, their gamble had paid off! I’ve served the Empire!   Despite their fears, they could only maintain their composure and have a proper conversation with this “female demon.”

As expected, the first blow was a show of force.

Accusations after charges were laid before them.

The Kafiora family was filled with grief and indignation!

Were these charges true?

They were indeed true.

Regardless of the Ministry of Justice’s past, the current Ministry of Justice wouldn’t resort to fabricating evidence when handling cases.

That structure still existed.

However, exaggerating matters and applying flexible law enforcement were not uncommon tactics.

Especially in politics, where right and wrong often aren’t the only issues, only positions.

This was exactly what they were facing.

They were using the crimes of marginalized family members, even from decades before the Terran War, to convict the entire family!

Many of these charges would normally be minor for a family of their stature. Especially those at the core of the family, those who had already held official positions, were known to be very clean. The family had plenty of people to do the dirty work, and when necessary, as now, these people could be deployed as white gloves.

But it was clear that simply throwing out the white glove was pointless. Angel needed to know what he wanted.

Were they truly going to abandon the donkey after it had served its purpose, even righteous “Terra nobility” like them?

Were they not afraid of provoking the opposition and anger of all Terra’s native forces?!

The hidden rebels hadn’t been completely eliminated. If pushed to the limit, everyone would resort to desperate measures!

Despite their anger, they felt compelled to kowtow in conversation with Angel.

Even the highest-ranking official in the family, now an Assistant Minister, a step away from Deputy Prime Minister, had to bow down to Angel, a Special Deacon who hadn’t even reached the rank of Deputy Minister.

In private, they finally understood Angel’s demands.

The white glove had to be handed over, otherwise, how could they withdraw these indictments?

However, in addition to the charges, the Kafiola family must be dismantled. The resources, factories, and workers with whom they have personal ties… all productivity must be “liberated.” The capital government will provide a sum of money to purchase all of these industries.

If the family members are separated and all the family assets are acquired, what is the meaning of the family’s existence?
