Only at the Mahayana Stage Does the Reversal System Appear - Chapter 772
Chapter 769 The Eight Rules of Creation
“The new world must have spatial rules.”
The spatial rules emerged, establishing the concept of the world, with length, width, and height, and Taichu’s body could be expressed in units.
“This world is too empty.”
A thought flashed through Taichu’s mind, and countless singularities exploded and expanded, forming the embryonic forms of the world. Gas clouds, stars, planets, and other observable astronomical objects were born.
Boundaries appeared, clearly separating the embryonic forms of each world.
The void appeared, completely separating the worlds.
Taichu stamped the ground beneath his feet. Of all the newly born worlds, the one beneath his feet was the largest.
“All things are in motion, and should be measured by time.”
The rule of time emerged.
Above all worlds, the long river of time appeared, flowing out into a gurgling stream representing time. This stream flowed into the future, signifying the eternal existence of time, uninterrupted and irreversible.
“The development of things is not static. Uncertainty is the source of the world’s vitality. The new world must have infinite possibilities.”
The rule of possibility was born.
At the birth of the world, silence was eternal. Only Taichu’s voice resounded throughout the world. His will was almighty, and the fundamental rules that constitute the world gradually emerged.
“To create possibilities for future generations, they can convert energy into mass and mass into energy, converting each other endlessly.”
The rules of mass-energy conversion emerged.
“Life and death are the foundation of the world, and rebirth and destruction are the fundamentals of the world. Immortality will eventually lead to decay of thought, and people will become like those in the old world, stubborn and unwilling to heed my advice.”
“Life and death are predestined, and reincarnation is endless. Only then can we cherish life and death.”
The concepts of life and death emerged, and the state of Taichu also shifted from eternity to “life.”
“As for the levels of life evolution, they can be consistent with the old world, divided into Qi training, foundation building, golden elixir, nascent soul, spirit transformation, fusion, and tribulation… As for immortality, forget it, it ends at the tribulation stage.”
“Worlds must be independent. Those in the tribulation stage cannot cross the void. Once they become immortals, they will be able to travel between worlds and disrupt their development.”
“Reaching the tribulation stage will be more difficult. Life and death are the greatest fears in the world. Only by overcoming fear can one reach the tribulation stage.”
The rules of life evolution, later known as the division of the immortal realm, emerged.
“The energy for cultivating immortality comes from spiritual energy.”
Spiritual energy appears randomly in various worlds, nourishing all things and carrying the laws of the cycle of life and death and the laws of life’s evolution. Anything nourished by spiritual energy has the potential to develop intelligence and become life.
“Human nature is the law of the jungle, of disorder. Let this law of the jungle be the eighth law.”
“Only by overcoming nature can the law of destruction be reversed.”
These eight laws are like iron laws, engraved at the origin of the world. All things and principles are born from these eight auspicious laws and cannot be violated.
Taichu walked the earth and sensed the world changing.
He stepped out of the world’s barrier and entered the void, where he was injured.
Taichu quickly understood the reason: “If it were me from the old world, the void would have been unable to harm me. But this is the new world. The old world’s rules have vanished, and my body will no longer be the same.”
So Taichu gave his body a command: “My body is indestructible.”
Five thousand years passed in a flash. The changes in the universe were no longer as drastic as at creation. The five elements of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth were born. Any collision and combination gave rise to new things. The laws of cause and effect, yin and yang, and creation… emerged one after another.
The world was still changing, but in ways that were imperceptible.
Taichu leaned against a tree, his eyes slightly closed. This sense of comfort was something he had never experienced in the old world.
“It’s so quiet,”
Taichu whispered. Harnessing spiritual energy to create life is a long process. Only five thousand years have passed, and the world is still in its infancy. It will take a long time for life to emerge.
“Creation is over, and there’s no need for me to maintain a single thought.”
Taichu stood up, and with a thought, nine babies appeared.
These nine babies were still in the embryonic stage. One of them was born first, and from then on, there were two thoughts in the world.
Taichu carefully taught the infant and gave him the name “Qiong.”
Qiong means Heaven. As the Heavenly Dao of the old world, Taichu named the first human “Qiong,” placing his hopes on him.
The infant quickly grew into a child, a child of innocence. Taichu held Qiong’s hand and recounted the story of creation.
Taichu instructed Qiong: “The rules of destruction, space, time, probability, mass-energy conversion, reincarnation, evolution, and the law of the jungle… Qiong, you must memorize these eight rules. Don’t make any mistakes.”
Qiong nodded firmly: “Teacher, I remember.”
Then a question occurred to Qiong: “But teacher, since you’ve said that living things are inherently greedy and favor the law of the jungle, how can we establish order? How will we fight the rule of destruction in the future?”
Taichu lovingly stroked Qiong’s head.
“Silly child, haven’t you noticed? I haven’t set any rules for energy, which means it’s infinite.”
“Of course, it’s not boundless energy, because that would mean the whole world would collapse.”
“Infinite energy requires thought. As long as you think, energy can be created out of nothing.”
“No matter how greedy a creature may be, how can it be greedier than infinite energy?”
“As long as the desires of creatures are satisfied, order will naturally be established.”
Qiong nodded, seemingly understanding.
Taichu saw Qiong’s expression and smiled helplessly. Qiong was different from him. He hadn’t experienced the old world of burning, killing, looting, and the rule of the strong.
Since Taichu’s birth, he had been pondering how to solve this problem, and finally, he came up with a solution.
The old world had nine rules, while the new world he created had eight, missing the law of conservation of energy.
With infinite energy, establishing order was no longer a challenge.
Years later, Qiong grew up, and the remaining eight babies were born: four boys and four girls. Taichu named them:
Di, Xuan, Huang, Yu, Zhou, Hong, Huang, and Heng.
Taichu entrusted Qiong with the task of teaching these eight children, wanting to see if he had memorized the eight rules.
In the lush jungle, Qiong diligently explained the eight rules to the children, and Taichu nodded slightly from afar.
Taichu gazed upon the myriad worlds he had created. Although there were only nine living beings now, he seemed to envision a glorious future:
each world developing independently, without interfering with each other. Those who established order would survive the black tide, while those who failed would perish.
The black tide was like a sieve, eliminating the failures and retaining the successes.
“My mission is complete. All living things will eventually die. As the creator of the world, I must also abide by the rules of reincarnation.”
“And I was the first to disobey the agreement, so I should be punished by death.”
“I will leave the rest to future generations.”
Taichu leaped into the void and ended his life.
His body floated forever in the void.
