Chapter 763 Nine Years

“Your world has already established order. There’s no need to rush towards higher goals. The most important thing now is to maintain and consolidate the existing order.”

“Running too fast will lead to falls,” Sister Hou Tu said with a smile so contagious it made one believe her words.

A man eating candied haws walked into the teahouse and saw Sister Hou Tu, chatting and laughing.

“Empress, it’s been a few years. Why are you still in Jiuzhou?”

Jiang Li remembered nine years ago, when he asked Empress Hou Tu to go to Jiuzhou and tell everyone that he was leaving for a parallel world and asked them not to worry.

How could it be that after nine years, Empress Hou Tu was still in Jiuzhou?

Who was in charge of the underworld now?

“Well, I told them you’d come back in nine years. What if you didn’t? Would I be held responsible for what I said?” Empress Hou Tu said seriously.

Jiang Li looked at her suspiciously, suspecting she simply didn’t want to return to the underworld.

“Is the parallel world story over?”

“It’s almost over. It’s quite eye-opening.”

Jiang Li pursed his lips. “What’s with this parallel world chapter of the Legend of Jiang Renhuang?”

He hadn’t been back in all those years, so how could anyone know what he’d experienced in that parallel world?

“Don’t underestimate the public’s imagination.”

“…”

No wonder these stories were so unfamiliar; they must be lies.

Jiang Li never doubted the public’s imagination; otherwise, there wouldn’t be so many books titled “The Legend of Jiang Renhuang,” all of which swore they were based on the true experiences of Jiang Renhuang.

Jiang Li almost thought his memory was distorted.

“Sister Hou Tu, who is this brother?”

The two communicated via telepathy, so the little princess couldn’t hear their conversation.

Hou Tu Niang Niang remained silent, motioning for Jiang Li to introduce himself.

“My name is Zhongli.”

Hou Tu Niang Niang gave a look of astonishment. She hadn’t introduced Jiang Li precisely because she didn’t know his current surname.

“This is the little princess from the Xuan Guang World, visiting Jiuzhou to study.”

“Welcome, welcome.”

For some reason, the little princess felt flattered by Zhong Li’s welcome.

“Let’s go! Just listen to the biography of Emperor Jiang Ren. If you listen to every edition, the little princess will grow into a princess.” Empress Hou Tu called the little princess and Jiang Li out.

Jiuzhou had undergone tremendous changes in the past nine years, and Jiang Li was still less familiar with the current Jiuzhou than Empress Hou Tu.

On the way, Jiang Li met people from many other worlds—those who came for tourism, adventure, or learning, their motives varied.

They all spoke fluent Jiuzhou dialect and bargained with street vendors.

Jiuzhou didn’t force anyone in the universe to learn Jiuzhou dialect, but if they wanted to gain advanced experience, they should take the initiative to learn it.

“Look, look, look! Fusion Stage techniques are on sale! Buy three, get two free, buy three, get two free! We have all kinds of techniques!”

The vendor’s call caught the little princess’s attention. Fusion Stage techniques were rare in their world, and without going through numerous trials, one wouldn’t even see a single word.

She hadn’t expected Jiuzhou to actually have Fusion Stage techniques on the street.

The attendants, with high cultivation levels, flipped through the manuals and discovered they were all genuine goods, with a truly comprehensive selection.

“How much?”

“Ten low-grade spirit stones per book. Buy three, get two free.”

“What a bargain!” The attendants’ eyes lit up, eager to buy the entire stall. If they could take everything home, it would be a great achievement.

Empress Hou Tu curled her lips. “Don’t buy them! These are the original versions of the Fusion Stage manuals. They’re a scam for tourists like you. With the release of the Fusion Stage manuals, everyone’s been researching their weaknesses, and countless revisions have already been made. These manuals are already outdated.”

“If you want to buy them, go to a reputable place.”

The attendants withdrew, thanking Empress Hou Tu for the reminder. Buying all the manuals wouldn’t cost a lot of spirit stones, but getting scammed out wouldn’t be a good thing.

Hou Tu Niangniang walked a few steps, picked up a jade pendant from a stall, and handed it to the little princess. “Little princess, if you want to take some local specialties back with you, this is a great one.”

“What is this?”

“Try infusing it with spiritual energy.”

The little princess did as she was told. Millions of points of light appeared in the sky, like stars in the night sky, connected by tiny pillars of light. One point was particularly special: the brightest and largest, it marked the end point of all the pillars.

“This is a map of the universe. The brightest point is Jiuzhou. Your world… is here.” Hou Tu Niangniang helped the little princess locate their world.

Hou Tu Niangniang gently tapped the point of light, and it expanded, revealing the full view of the little princess’s world.

“Only Jiuzhou can produce this map of the universe. Every visitor to Jiuzhou buys one as a souvenir,” the vendor said.

“All I sell here are genuine products from the Human Emperor Palace.”

Hou Tu Niangniang bought it and gave it to the little princess.

Then, Hou Tu Niangniang led everyone to a school where a teacher was teaching ignorant students how to recite exercises.

“They’re reciting the ‘Five Elements Qi Training Art (Part 1)’, written by Emperor Jiang Ren himself. This technique allows mortals in Jiuzhou to advance from the third to the sixth level of Qi Training.”

The little princess and the guards had long noticed that the people of Jiuzhou had incredibly high cultivation levels, with the lowest being at the sixth level. In their world, this level would have allowed them to become elders in small sects, but in Jiuzhou, they’d be mere ordinary, insignificant people.

“Part 1? What about the middle and third parts?” the little princess asked.

Jiang Li smiled, “They already have them, but we haven’t had time to publish them yet.”

In his parallel world, he had learned the complete method of beheading the three corpses from Daozu, from which he derived the middle and third parts of the ‘Five Elements Qi Training Art’.

If this technique were to be widely adopted, the standard of mortals in Jiuzhou would be raised to the Foundation Establishment stage!

Empress Hou Tu was astonished upon hearing this. She glanced at Jiang Li and immediately guessed what Jiang Li had been through.

A qualified tour guide, Empress Hou Tu gave the little princess a detailed introduction to Jiuzhou’s customs and practices, as well as the changes over the years. Not only the little princess, but even the two attendants were captivated.

Jiang Li remained silent, smiling the entire time, simply listening.

The development of Jiuzhou and the myriad worlds was even better than he had imagined.

Jiang Li used his spiritual sense to survey the entire city, discovering an extremely low crime rate and law-abiding citizens.

This wasn’t the Great Zhou Dynasty, but rather the once-chaotic Tianyuan Dynasty.

“Well done, Yu Yin.”

Jiang Li stretched and said goodbye to Empress Hou Tu. “My Queen, I’ll return to the Human Emperor Palace to take a look.”

“Go ahead,” Empress Hou Tu had anticipated Jiang Li’s words.

Watching Jiang Li disappear in an instant, the little princess stuttered, “Sister Hou Tu, who exactly is that big brother?”

She had clearly heard that the other party was going back to the Human Emperor Palace to check.

“He, he is Jiang Li.” Empress Hou Tu laughed.

“What?!”
