Only at the Mahayana Stage Does the Reversal System Appear - Chapter 63
Chapter 63 Ah Qing
Upon learning of the presence of an immortal demonic beast ahead, the two of them, once sealed, stopped charging recklessly and instead approached cautiously.
Jiang Li saw a deformed green bull the size of a hill sleeping beneath a tree. A copper bell was tied around its neck. It had four eyes and a square beak, its body bloated and massive, its belly bulging. Its skin, torn by its own flesh, continuously oozes pus , a hideous sight.
Even more disgusting, various demonic beasts would occasionally emerge from the ruptures in its skin. These newborns, unable to even open their eyes, lapped up the pus from the deformed green bull, instantly growing from Qi-training stage demonic beasts to Foundation Establishment stage ones before departing.
“This, this is the source of these demonic beasts!” Ming Zhong whispered, his tone filled with rage. He stared at the deformed green bull, his eyes bloodshot, his nails digging into his palms, eager to kill it immediately.
“This is Master’s Ah Qing!” the Yin-Yang Heavenly Seal cried out in shock. Though its appearance had been drastically altered, it still recognized the Daozu’s mount. “Ah Qing, I am the Yin-Yang Heavenly Seal. Where is Master?”
A moo—
the deformed blue ox, startled awake, its eyes bloodshot and frantic.
It stomped its hooves agitatedly, crushing the monsters that drank its concentrated water to death, unconcerned. All it cared about was the two men and the seal.
Especially that talking seal!
“Is this the Daozu’s mount?” Jiang Li had seen a portrait in the Dao Sect depicting the Daozu ascending to heaven on an ox, a man and an ox simultaneously achieving immortality. He simply couldn’t equate the monster before him with the ethereal blue ox.
The deformed blue ox charged, but the Yin-Yang Heavenly Seal remained undeterred, opting for the most brutal attack, clashing its body against the ox’s horns with a dull thud.
“Ah Qing, calm down!”
The deformed blue ox ignored the Yin-Yang Heavenly Seal’s words. The ox and seal clashed, leveling the area for hundreds of miles.
Ming Zhong, shielded by Jiang Li, couldn’t even discern the clash between the ox and the seal. All he could hear were the delayed sounds of battle, the blue ox’s mooing, and the furious roar of the Yin-Yang Celestial Seal.
The deformed blue ox unleashed a volley of light, creating a path of destruction thousands of kilometers long, shaking the very earth.
The Yin-Yang Celestial Seal took the blow head-on, battered to dust.
“Ah Qing, don’t push me! You know my power! I can control your karma!” the Yin-Yang Celestial Seal roared. Ming Zhong hadn’t expected the Yin-Yang Celestial Seal, who had only been playing with him for so long, to be so enraged.
“Where’s your karma? Why can’t I see it?” the Yin-Yang Celestial Seal was stunned. The blue ox before him must have been his master’s mount, a demonic beast from the Nine Provinces. Even if he had attained immortality, he should have been able to control the blue ox’s karma.
But now, let alone control it, he couldn’t even see it!
The Yin-Yang Celestial Seal lost consciousness and was sent flying by the deformed blue ox. When it flew back, intending to fight Ah Qing for another three hundred rounds, it discovered that Jiang Li had taken its place, confronting the deformed blue ox.
From the moment they engaged, Jiang Li sensed a tremendous force beyond that of a Tribulation Crossing Stage. It was undoubtedly an immortal beast.
He activated his Dharma Formation of Heaven and Earth, constricting his size to a gigantic figure a hundred meters tall, comparable in size to the deformed green bull.
He extended two hands from behind him, grasping the deformed green bull’s horns and flinging it away, knocking down the tree where it had been sleeping.
A worn ring emerged from the tree, catching Jiang Li’s attention.
He grasped the ring and noticed wisps of immortal energy emanating from it. Upon contact with the outside world, it transformed into a vast amount of spiritual energy.
“Is this… a storage ring specifically designed to store immortal energy?” Jiang Li had heard from Immortal Elder Changcun that before descending to the mortal world, most immortals prepare a special storage ring filled with immortal energy. While it only stores immortal energy, the amount stored is astonishing, enough to last them thousands or even tens of thousands of years.
This was his first time seeing such a thing, and he felt uncertain.
Jiang Li suspected that the rich spiritual energy in this area stemmed from this ring.
He even had a bolder hypothesis: the entire continent’s spiritual energy originated from this ring!
“You are the villains who stole my ring! Give it back!” The deformed blue bull rolled on the ground, speaking human language.
“So you can speak? Are you Daozu’s mount?”
“You are the villains who stole my ring! Give it back!”
“You are the villains who stole my ring! Give it back!”
“You are the villains who stole my ring! Give it back!”
The deformed blue bull kept repeating this phrase.
Jiang Li could tell that this blue bull had also been corrupted by the extraterritorial demon and had completely lost its mind. Its words were merely a lingering obsession, and so it only repeated this single phrase.
“Who is trying to steal Master’s ring? Ah Qing! Answer me!” Yin Yang Tianyin, still assuming the blue bull had some sense, demanded.
“It’s no use. It’s not the Ah Qing you knew.” Jiang Li shook his head and struck the blue bull with all four hands.
Even after breaking its horns, the blue bull continued to repeat the same words.
“You are the villains who stole the master’s ring! Return it!”
Jiang Li understood. The Green Ox had guarded this ring for thousands of years, awaiting the Daozu’s return, relying on the immortal power within it to survive.
It was fortunate that the Green Ox hadn’t left. Had it only visited the human side, they would have been dead long ago. Even
the Nine Provinces had few means to stop this maddened immortal beast.
Jiang Li held the Green Ox in place, and the Yin-Yang Heavenly Seal slowly flew before the Green Ox. He spoke in a complex voice, “Ah Qing.”
It remembered that day: willows swayed, a gentle breeze blew, and the stream gurgled. Ah Qing slept beneath the willows, his master resting his head on Ah Qing, holding his hand, a wistful smile on his face.
But when they met again, everything had changed. Ah Qing had gone mad, his master had vanished, leaving it all alone.
The reflection of the Yin-Yang Heavenly Seal shone in the Green Ox’s eyes. Tears mingled with blood flowed, making a hissing sound as they touched the ground.
“Kill… me…” Qingniu uttered a faint, intermittent sound.
“Ah Qing, have you regained consciousness?” Yin Yang Tianyin was surprised.
“You are the villains who stole the master’s ring! Give it back!” Ah Qing roared, then said in a pleading tone, “Kill… me…”
Yin Yang Tianyin sighed, knowing that Ah Qing was in pain and wanted to die.
It asked Jiang Li to help and give Ah Qing a quick death.
Jiang Li waved his hand and cut off Ah Qing’s head.
Although Qing Niu was dead, monsters continued to crawl out of Qing Niu’s body. Jiang Li had no choice but to burn Ah Qing’s body to ashes.
Jiang Li thought that the extraterritorial demons could only pollute people in the lower world, but he never thought that even the immortal beasts could be polluted.
Qing Niu’s body had obviously been transformed by the extraterritorial demons. Jiang Li felt the blood of many kinds of monsters, birds and beasts in its body. Fortunately, Qing Niu was the body of an immortal beast, otherwise it would have died long ago with such complex and incompatible blood in its body.
