Chapter 606 Speculation

After observing the thirty-six appearances of the Black Tide, the three of them secretly sighed. Perhaps only a world like the Observer Civilization, with cameras installed in every corner, could observe the Black Tide phenomenon.

The small black dots appeared with no regular pattern, ranging from one hundred to four hundred years, a vast span of time.

Their locations were also uncertain; they could appear on planets, in the universe, or even in the void, seemingly at random.

Their expansion behavior varied after their appearance. The thirty-fourth appearance was the largest, devouring a corner of the world and a hundred mother planets. The smallest expansions occurred in the first, ninth, eighteenth, twenty-fifth, and thirty-first appearances, with no expansion at all, disappearing immediately upon appearance.

Furthermore, with the exception of the thirty-fourth, the Black Tide’s area was relatively small.

It was as if the Black Tide had two possible outcomes:

it could vanish or expand. After each expansion, it faced a new possibility: it could disappear or expand.

In other words, no matter how large the Black Tide grew, it could still vanish.

“What exactly is this Black Tide?”

Jiang Li frowned. His observations left him with a profound feeling of uncertainty.

“After years of analysis, combined with some speculation, we’ve reached a rough conclusion about the black tide. As for whether it’s right or wrong, I can’t guarantee it.”

“I’d love to hear more.”

“We classify the black tide as a ‘natural phenomenon,’ believing its existence to be similar to wind, rain, thunder, and so on. It’s not man-made, but a natural phenomenon. Even without intentional pursuit, these natural phenomena will still occur.”

“It’s just that wind and rain are controllable, while the black tide is uncontrollable.”

“The biggest characteristics of the black tide are uncertainty and swallowing power. I’m sure you’ve all experienced this.”

Jiang Li nodded. “I suspect the black tide isn’t unique to your world, but exists across all the universe. It’s just that its appearance is unfounded and its disappearance is so swift that it hardly attracts people’s attention.”

“When the little black dot isn’t appearing here, it might appear elsewhere.”

The universe is so vast that everyone focuses solely on what’s in front of them. No one would spend a whole day, even for hundreds of years, open their spiritual sense.

Jiang Li doesn’t do that.

This means that the black tide phenomenon can only be observed and recorded in detail by observer civilizations.

“Could this be the world-destroying disaster the Honghu Envoy spoke of?”

Jiang Li muttered to himself, feeling it was highly likely.

The Immortal Realm’s reaction to the Black Tide, and the Duye Envoy’s unusual behavior, all indicated that the Immortal Realm’s attitude toward the Black Tide was unusual.

“A world-destroying disaster?” The Lord of Entropy’s eyes widened upon hearing Jiang Li’s words.

“What’s the matter?”

“I had never considered this possibility before, but now that Mr. Jiang Li has explained it, I have a hypothesis.”

“What hypothesis?”

“The characteristic of the Black Tide is uncertainty, right? Uncertainty about whether it disappears or expands.”

“Yes.”

“Then can ‘uncertainty’ be understood as ‘possibility’? There’s the possibility of disappearing, and there’s also the possibility of expanding.”

“Right… wait, you’re talking about the Possibility Convergence!”

The Lord of Entropy trembled, as if frightened by his own conjecture. “As long as there’s the possibility of the Black Tide expanding, then the Possibility Convergence will transform that possibility into inevitability!”

Could the Black Tide possibly expand?

The answer was yes.

The Black Tide remains unknown to the public, simply because its potential for expansion is so small that it disappears without causing a significant impact.

However, it’s entirely possible for the Black Tide to expand indefinitely, just as it swallowed up a corner of the observer’s world. Even worse, it could devour the entire universe.

If it exists, it could happen!

“Theoretically, there are countless parallel worlds. Are there any parallel worlds already swallowed by the Black Tide?”

“Assuming it truly has swallowed up the universe of parallel worlds, will the Black Tide continue to expand?”

“Where can the Black Tide go? Only to the River of Time.”

“And after it consumes the River of Time, will that be the end?”

“No, above the River of Time is the Convergence of Possibilities.”

“And the Convergence of Possibilities connects the River of Time of every parallel world.”

“As long as the Black Tide reaches the Convergence of Possibilities, transforming possibility into inevitability, the Black Tide will continue to expand!”

“From the Convergence of Possibilities, the Black Tide will travel to other Rivers of Time, and then to other parallel worlds…”

The Lord of Entropy grew louder, his voice trembling with a hint of fear.

The Lord of Entropy has several assistants in the Fusion Stage, including the grandfather of the Meteorite President.

The Meteorite CEO’s grandfather knew about the Black Tide Observation Records, and his research topic was the Convergence of Possibilities.

“Could it be that he went mad because he guessed this possibility?” The Lord of Entropy Increase felt something was making sense.

The Meteorite CEO’s grandfather had been scared mad by himself.

The Lord of Entropy Increase breathed a sigh of relief, his emotions mixed.

For a moment, the atmosphere was somewhat solemn.

Of the six people present, only Bai Hongtu was smiling playfully, his laughter heartless, breaking the solemn atmosphere: “After all, most of what we’ve said is speculation, and unfounded speculation at that. Why scare ourselves?”

“Besides, if the sky falls, there will be someone taller to hold it up. Jiang Li is the tallest, so let him worry about it.”

Jiang Li glared at Bai Hongtu. He knew you were trying to ease the atmosphere, but a mere Tribulation Crossing Stage challenged the dignity of a Mahayana Stage three times. Do you really think I’m easy to bully? Just

wait for me.

Jiang Li turned to the three Overlords and said, “We’ve gained a great deal this time. Thank you in advance.”

“Would you all be willing to visit Jiuzhou and explore?”

The three Overlords beamed. For observers, what could be more delightful than visiting a new world?

“Alright. But our world is so far from Jiuzhou. How can we get there?”

Jiang Li chuckled, “I have a plan.”

…

Deep in the cold and dark void, the ancient corpse of the Human Emperor pulled five bronze coffins, a scene filled with terror and foreboding.

The three Overlords’ eyes twitched, thinking this might be a form of transportation unique to Jiuzhou. They must learn to respect differences between civilizations.

After the six arrived in Jiuzhou, the three Overlords emerged from their coffins, thanked Jiang Li again, and then traveled around Jiuzhou for observation.

Jiang Li’s Yang Shen returned to his position, and he and Yu Yin went to Dao Sect to inquire with the Immortal Eternal.

The hoarse, weathered voice of a demon god emanated from the coffin of Eternal.

“Jiang Li? Yu Yin? Are you there? Why haven’t you spoken in the past? Should we go to Jiuzhou so I can go out?”

“Wait, why is the coffin sealed?”

“Jiang Li, you son of a bitch, it must be you who did it!”

The devil’s roar rang out from the coffin, making people shudder.
