Chapter 558: Ghosts Scare People, People Scare Ghosts

. “This haunted house is quite well-equipped, with everything from classrooms to everything else,” Jiang Li said with a smile, his hands in his pockets, as he walked down the hallway.

“Senior Jiang, why do I feel a little cold here?” Wen Quan shuddered, following Jiang Li’s lead.

“That’s normal. After all, we’re the only ones here with ghosts, so it’s normal for the yin energy to be a bit strong.”

“Besides, what ghosts are you afraid of? The Daoist Fellow Huiming within you is a Tribulation Crossing Stage soul. With him around, no ghost can hurt you?”

Wen Quan pondered and agreed.

He then stood closer to Jiang Li.

“…You still don’t understand what I mean, do you?”

The hallway echoed well; click, click… the two could hear footsteps as they walked.

Jiang Li paused, and Wen Quan, puzzled, stopped too.

Click, click…

footsteps came from behind, sending a chill down Wen Quan’s spine.

Suddenly, someone tapped Jiang Li on the shoulder.

“Jiang, Senior Jiang, I heard this news on the Internet. It said that in a haunted house, if you are slapped, you must not look back, otherwise the ghost will suck away your yang energy and make you fall into a coma.”

“Oh, thank you for the reminder.”

Jiang Li threw the ghost over his shoulder and knocked him down.

The two walked past the ghost. Wen Quan turned his head to look at the ghost with pity in his eyes.

The ghost looked confused, not knowing what was going on.

“The lights are still on in the classroom, go and take a look.”

Jiang Li came to the classroom and heard the sound of reading aloud. The teacher was writing on the blackboard. The atmosphere was completely different from the outside world.

“The other students have gone home, and you are the only ones still here.”

Jiang Li turned off the lights.

“Go home.”

The sound of reading stopped abruptly, and the Chinese teacher was also stunned.

The Chinese teacher hesitated for a while and said, “Students, do you want to attend the class? There are exactly two seats here.”

“No need. I’m good at Chinese. If you don’t believe me, you can tell me the first half of the poem and I’ll continue with the second half.”

For some reason, the Chinese teacher subconsciously rejected Jiang Li’s suggestion and silently turned on the lights again: “Continue the class.”

The Chinese teacher talked for a while and asked Jiang Li: “Students, are you sleepy? If you are sleepy, just take a nap.”

Jiang Li actually yawned: “You also know that what you say is boring? You spent half a class talking about one sentence of poetry.”

At this moment, the voice of the security guard came from outside the door.

“This is bizarre! I clearly turned off the main power, so why are the classroom lights still on?”

The security guard craned his neck to see Jiang Li and Wen Quan sitting in a classroom filled with ghosts. He shouted, “What are you doing? Get out! This class went on an outing a few months ago, and on the way back, they were on a bus. The bus crashed into a reservoir, and everyone in the class drowned!”

“Really?”

Jiang Li turned around. His face was blue, his lips purple, his body swollen, his hair matted with waterweed, and his body soaked.

The security guard was terrified.

“Oh my God!” He ran away, trembling in the corner of a toilet stall.

Jiang Li said goodbye to the roomful of ghosts and left with Wen Quan, thoughtfully turning off the lights before leaving.

The Chinese teacher tried to turn them back on, but no matter what he did, the lights wouldn’t come back on.

The classroom lights had stayed on even after the main power switch was turned off because they were using a backup generator, which wasn’t affected.

But now, for some unknown reason, the classroom lights were completely off.

The Chinese teacher looked terrified.

Jiang Li walked into the bathroom and turned on the faucet to wash his hands. Countless strands of hair flowed out, tangling around Jiang Li’s hands. Jiang Li calmly pulled the hair out until no more hair remained.

Jiang Li looked up in the mirror. Instead of Jiang Li, it showed a woman with a slashed face.

The woman, holding a knife, attempted to crawl out of the mirror and slash Jiang Li’s face.

So Jiang Li kindly pulled out a mirror from his storage ring and attached it to the bathroom mirror, fitting it perfectly.

The ghost in the mirror could only crawl from one mirror to the other, then from the other back to the original one.

When Jiang Li left, a bald ghost crawled out of the faucet and, pitifully, picked up the hair that had been thrown on the floor.

Bang, bang, bang—

“Is anyone there?” Jiang Li knocked on the first bathroom door.

No one answered, so he shook his head slightly and walked to the second.

Bang, bang, bang—

“Is anyone there?”

The security guard, or rather the bus driver, looked terrified, his fingers lined up in a row, biting back and forth.

He was a ghost, and ghosts were supposed to scare people, but for some reason, he found this tourist particularly terrifying. “

Don’t find me, don’t find me, don’t find me… “

the bus driver prayed silently, but to no avail. The knocks grew closer and closer.

The bus driver was terrified.

Finally, Jiang Li reached the last toilet cubicle, where the bus driver sat.

Bang, bang, bang—

“Is anyone there?”

The bus driver covered his mouth tightly, refusing to cry out.

Jiang Li knocked for a moment, then gave up, but the bus driver still didn’t dare move.

He looked up at the toilet partition, worried that the person would crawl over.

After waiting for a long time, the bus driver didn’t see any movement and breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that the person must have given up.

But the person was a human, so how could a human crawl over?

The bus driver wanted to push the door open and leave, but just as he put his hand on the door lock, he still felt a little uneasy.

What if the other party didn’t leave?

He carefully lowered his head and looked outside through the crack in the toilet door.

Then he saw Jiang Li also lowering his head, grinning, showing eight teeth, and looking at him.

“Ghost–“

The bus driver’s heartbreaking voice echoed throughout the corridor.

…

“There are no ghosts anymore, right?” Wen Qing’er’s heart was pounding, and she wrapped herself tightly in the quilt, as if the tighter the quilt was wrapped, the more secure she would feel.

After running away from the bus driver, she couldn’t tell east from west and ran around aimlessly, and somehow she came to the dormitory.

The series of shocks made her focus scattered, and she wanted to sleep, but when she got on the bed and covered herself with the quilt, she found that she couldn’t sleep at all. It would

be a ghost to be able to sleep in such an environment!

And she always felt that there was someone in this dormitory, silently watching her. She looked around, but found no trace of ghosts.

Where is it?

Wen Qing’er felt an itch in her stomach, as if there were bugs crawling on it.

“It’s obvious that this place isn’t cleaned often. There shouldn’t be any bugs.” Wen Qing’er wasn’t afraid of bugs and wanted to lift the quilt to throw them out.

But when she lifted the quilt, she saw a female ghost lying on her, looking up at Wen Qing’er, her two emerald green eyes like two balls of ghost fire.

“Wow–” Wen Qing’er screamed in fright.

Jiang Li pushed the door open, lifted Wen Qing’er’s quilt, and dragged the female ghost out. His movements were as smooth as flowing water.

Wen Quan secretly curled his lips. Senior Jiang stood at the door for ten minutes until he heard his sister’s scream and then went in.

He called it training his sister’s courage.

In this regard, Wen Quan only wanted to say, well done.
