Chapter 376 Summoning, Bai Hongtu

Jiang Li landed on a dead planet and, with a kick of his legs, leaped to another.

He amused himself by hopping between these planets until he finally found a continent.

“It looks like this is a continental world, devoid of life.”

Jiang Li stood on a moon-like planet, gazing at the continent.

It was less than one-tenth the size of Jiuzhou, but Jiuzhou was considered a vast world among all the worlds, so comparing it to other continents would be an understatement.

…

“Oh my god, there’s a human in space!”

a staff member at the space agency headquarters exclaimed, incredulous at the sight.

The staff projected the scene onto a large screen.

Everyone involuntarily stopped their work, exclaimed in surprise, and chattered.

“How is this possible? He doesn’t need to breathe, isn’t he afraid of the various radiations in space?”

“Is he really human?”

“The clothes he wears are so strange, they’re ancient costumes.”

“Alien? A deity?”

What did they see? An ancient being, without protective clothing, freely roaming the universe.

This scene completely overturned their understanding, and no one could answer their questions.

Their department was responsible for searching for aliens, and now they had found one. But judging by its appearance, it looked just like them.

Upon hearing the news, the director of the Space Agency rushed over. Seeing Jiang Li on the big screen, his face sank.

“Director, it’s an alien,”

the first staff member excitedly reported to the director. They were finally free from the accusation of funding fraud.

“Who told you to project it on the big screen?” the director was furious. How could an alien look like them? It was clearly a high-level psychic using superpowers to operate in space.

And one who wasn’t even registered!

The existence of psychics was classified, and ordinary staff were forbidden from knowing.

The government believed that publicizing psychics would disrupt order, so for the sake of social stability, they worked hard to conceal their existence, keeping them in the shadows and keeping a low profile.

As the director of the Space Agency, he naturally knew a lot.

“It must be a spatial ability.” The director knew that high-level spatial psychics could freely control the surrounding space, and he suspected Jiang Li was one of them.

As for being able to operate in space using a physical body, that was impossible.

A psychic’s body is merely stronger than that of an average person, far from the exaggeration of being able to physically travel across the universe.

“Director, Director, he…”

“What’s wrong?” the director asked impatiently, trying to figure out how to conceal the incident.

“This alien is watching us.”

“What?”

Jiang Li flew toward the satellite and greeted the Space Agency personnel through the camera.

“He seems very friendly to us.”

The Space Agency Director disagreed, believing the psychic was demonstrating to the state.

He mobilized his authority, sealed the video, and made a copy to another department:

the Psychic Administration.

This was a department secretly established by the state to manage psychics. It was a gathering of talented individuals and experts, making it a truly powerful agency. Although

both belonged to the same bureau, the Psychic Administration held a much higher status than the Space Agency.

The Space Agency Director personally went to the Psychic Administration, found a person in charge, and explained the situation to him.

“A space-based esper? Impossible!”

“Even if I were the strongest space-based esper, I wouldn’t look as pleased as he does!”

“Creating space around yourself is easy to say, but you know better than me how much oxygen you need to survive in space for extended periods of time. Thirty cubic meters of space is needed, and you need that space to move with you, which is even more challenging!”

…

Jiang Li didn’t know how the people in this world would react. He was observing the satellite.

The aerospace industry often represents a civilization’s most advanced achievements. Using satellites, Jiang Li could easily gauge the technological level of this world.

“Similar to my previous life.”

He transformed into a meteor, descending to Earth, arriving at a coastal city. The space agency lost track of him.

Jiang Li transformed his clothing into that of this world: boxer shorts, a floral shirt, and sunglasses, perfectly suiting the style of this coastal city.

Jiang Li sighed. He was unfazed by the cold and heat, feeling nothing like summer.

“People named their continent Weigu Continent. It’s a single country, and it seems to be a peaceful world, with no signs of invasion from the outer demons.”

“Well, it’s too early to jump to conclusions. It’s also possible that the outer demons are secretly plotting, evading my divine sense.”

Jiang Li wasn’t taking it lightly. The outer demons never attack openly; they’re often more cunning.

“Help! Someone stole my bag!” a passerby screamed for help.

A low, humming sound echoed as the thief on a motorcycle waved the bag, whistling and showing off.

A young man darted out of the crowd, his legs moving at breakneck speed. With incredible speed, he caught up to the motorcycle, snatched the bag, and returned it to the owner.

Before the owner could even get a good look at him, he vanished.

…

Peng Lianghai reached a small alley, panting heavily, his enhanced abilities still unfamiliar to him.

Footsteps approached from afar, alerting Peng Lianghai.

“Who is it?”

“Don’t be nervous, I’m not a bad person.” The visitor was a beautiful woman who introduced herself. “I’m from a certain department of the state that cannot be made public. My name is Shao Junyi.”

“A department that’s not open to the public?” Peng Lianghai looked at Shao Junyi with suspicion, convinced that whatever she said was acceptable.

“You must have just awakened your powers and aren’t proficient in using them yet.”

“Powers?”

“Yes, your enhancement ability is a type of power, belonging to the enhancement system. You’re not unique. There are many people with powers in the world, like me, who have illusion-based powers.”

“So I’m not unique,” Peng Lianghai said, feeling a little down upon hearing the news.

Shao Junyi tucked a strand of hair behind her ear: “I have been observing you for two months. After awakening your ability, you did not use it to do evil things. Instead, you helped people everywhere. This shows that you are a good person. I now invite you to join our department.”

“Joining our department, the monthly salary is ten times the social average salary. If you can make merit or get promoted, the salary can be even higher.”

Peng Lianghai couldn’t completely believe Shao Junyi’s words. He replied cautiously: “I will take the college entrance examination soon. Can this matter wait until after I finish the college entrance examination?”

Shao Junyi smiled and said: “Of course you can. Our department welcomes you to join at any time.”

“Reinforcement-type superpowers, illusion-type superpowers. Interesting.” Jiang Li smiled. He had used his spiritual sense to find this so-called non-public department, that is, the Superpower Management Bureau, but this was the first time he saw it with his own eyes.

Jiang Li set up a formation, infused spiritual energy, and whispered: “Summon, Bai Hongtu.”

Bai Hongtu appeared in the halo.

Just found out that it seems that the chapter count of the previous chapters was wrong
