Chapter 353 Bestseller

“Who is this girl?” Yu Yin noticed Fairy Hongchen. Her aura was so subtle that even with her Tribulation Crossing stage divine sense, she couldn’t discern her.

Unless she, like herself, was also in the Tribulation Crossing stage.

But she was the only female cultivator in the Tribulation Crossing stage right now. How could a second one have appeared without anyone noticing?

Seeing Yu Yin’s strange expression, Saint Jingxin realized the problem. Grandmaster Hongchen had crafted this immortal-grade clothing solely to minimize attention and conceal her aura.

This concealment function still worked for those in the Tribulation Crossing stage.

There were only a few of them, so the sudden appearance of someone who could conceal their presence would be a surprise.

Saint Jingxin’s forehead was slightly sweaty; lying was a huge challenge for her.

“Jingxin, don’t worry. I know Yu Yin well. She’s even more secretive than Bai Hongtu and Ji Zhi. She won’t tell anyone about this,” Jiang Li whispered.

With Jiang Li’s endorsement, the Holy Maiden of the Pure Heart felt relieved. “Sister Yuyin, come over here and talk.” The Holy Maiden of the Pure Heart

and Yuyin were of the same generation, though she was a few years older.

She led Yuyin to a sparsely populated mountain spring, where the clear, gurgling water created a truly picturesque scene.

Fairy Hongchen wanted to go fishing, but the Holy Maiden of the Pure Heart persuaded her to return.

Yuyin raised an eyebrow. This masked female cultivator still possessed a childlike innocence, perhaps even a touch of childishness.

“This is Fairy Hongchen, the founder of our Pure Land of the Red Dust,”

she said, startled. She raised her eyebrows again.

Jiang Li knew that Yuyin’s expression rarely changed, mostly blank. The fact that she had raised her eyebrows twice was enough to indicate her astonishment.

“Is this the Fairy Hongchen, the one who enchanted the immortal world and embodied the beauty of Heaven?”

Yuyin finally understood why she wore a mask. Legend had it that Fairy Hongchen’s allure was irresistible. Even her portrait could cause chaos and lead to mental dementia, let alone her true appearance.

“Hasn’t the venerable master already passed away?”

“Although the master’s soul has reincarnated, his body remains. The

body gives birth to spirits, generating new souls.” Yu Yin had heard of this concept, but this was the first time she had seen a real example.

“Hello, you look very strong,” Fairy Hongchen said with a smile.

“Yu Yin dares not boast of strength in front of an immortal.” Yu Yin bowed to Fairy Hongchen. She wanted to see what she looked like beneath the fairy’s veil, but considering the legends surrounding fairies, she had no confidence in herself.

Yu Yin said to the air, “Jiang Li, I know you’re here. Don’t hide.”

Jiang Li was confident in his concealment skills and felt that Yu Yin was trying to trick him.

A sneer curled up Yu Yin’s lips. “Sister Jingxin was initially hesitant, afraid to tell me about the Red Dust Fairy. Then she suddenly made up her mind and told me everything. Who do you think could have made her make up her mind?”

Jiang Li appeared helplessly. “I know you’re smart, but could you please not use your intelligence to expose me?”

“I wouldn’t dare call myself smart in front of you. Every time during the Human Emperor Candidates Trial, you and Bai Hongtu always come in first and second, and I’m third.”

The Human Emperor Candidates Trial is a comprehensive test, encompassing combat power, talent, intelligence, and more. Yu Yin is on par with Bai Hongtu and Jiang Li in all other areas, but only in intelligence does she lag behind.

Yu Yin’s honest tactics are no match for Jiang Li and Bai Hongtu’s wildly imaginative schemes.

The Old Man Emperor is optimistic about Yu Yin, feeling that Jiang Li and Bai Hongtu, while good, lack stability. Therefore, he imposes numerous restrictions on them during the trials, practically telling them to stop messing around.

And as expected, they always come up with something new.

“Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone about your sneaking into the Shangsi Festival.”

Jiang Li glared. “What do you mean by sneaking in? I’m just trying to keep Fairy Hongchen’s affairs secret.”

Yu Yin ignored Jiang Li. “This is probably your first time attending the Shangsi Festival. I’ll show you around.”

Jiang Li instructed Fairy Hongchen to adjust her aura to that of a Fusion Stage cultivator. This way, anyone who saw Fairy Hongchen would simply mistake her for a Fusion Stage cultivator from the Red Dust Pure Land, and nothing else.

The four of them returned to the main venue of the Shangsi Festival. Jiang Li went invisible, visible only to Yu Yin and the other three.

Jiang Li felt like a pervert as he wedged himself among the throng of female cultivators.

He saw many items sold exclusively to female cultivators, such as anti-aging pills, underwear, hair conditioner, sunscreen, and the Yang-replenishing Yin technique.

These items were new to Jiang Li, but he had no desire to buy anything.

“You don’t look well. Are you okay?” the Pure Heart Saint noticed Jiang Li’s anomaly.

Jiang Li sighed, “It must be because there are only female cultivators here. Everyone’s wearing more casual clothes than outside, revealing their arms and legs. If they knew I was here, they probably wouldn’t dress like this.”

The customs in Jiuzhou weren’t as good as they were in Jiang Li’s previous life. With a few exceptions, such as the demon and poison tribes, the female cultivators wore very conservative clothing, not even exposing their ankles.

Meanwhile, at the Shangsi Festival, the female cultivators seemed to be showing off their figures, exposing their arms and legs. Their clothes were even more fitted, revealing the outline of their breasts.

Yu Yin smiled and said, “Do you think people would wear more or less if they knew you were here?”

Jiang Li was about to speak when the Red Dust Fairy, who was squatting on the ground reading, called over.

“Come and look, these books are so interesting.”

“What is Master reading?” Saint Jingxin asked softly, bending over, her arms resting on her knees.

“‘Reborn Five Hundred Years Later, a Mahayana Cultivator Fell in Love with Me’.”

Fairy Hongchen read the introduction on the cover carefully: “She misjudged people, was framed, and was reborn five hundred years ago. The moment she opened her eyes, she saw the pitiful little cultivator. She knew that this little cultivator would eventually become a highly anticipated Mahayana cultivator.”

“But who knew how arduous the path to immortality was? How much torture and loss this little cultivator had endured before reaching the Mahayana stage?”

“She hugged the little cultivator and said domineeringly, ‘In this life, I will let you peacefully become a Mahayana cultivator. You will no longer lose people or things, and you will no longer face hardships!'”

“And this one, ‘Lord Jiang Li, Don’t Want It.'”

“He’s a lofty Mahayana cultivator, the protector of the Nine Provinces, a ruthless power that strikes fear in the hearts of the outer demons.”

“She’s a clumsy little maid, a backdrop for the cultivators.”

“Two people who had no connection at all met at a party. From then on, he had a simple and lovely little maid by his side, and she had a gentle Mahayana cultivator by her side.”

“This fellow Daoist has excellent taste. These two books are currently bestsellers.”

The bookstall owner enthusiastically promoted them. Saint Pure Heart bought the two books, ostensibly to show them to the Grandmaster.

Jiang Li noticed the neat layout of the bookstall, with small signs marking the areas. The area with the largest number of books was called the “Jiang Li Area.”

In addition to Fairy Hongchen and Saint Pure Heart, many other female cultivators came to this area to buy books. Even the “Lust Teacher Area” wasn’t as lively as this one.
