Chapter 145: Understand the People’s Feelings and Share Their Joy

“Li Fugui, are you going to the Sword Tomb, too?” Qin Luan greeted the aloof Li Fugui warmly. “Me too. I’ve just arrived and I’ve stumbled upon such a wonderful opportunity.”

Qin Luan was delighted to meet an old friend from another land.

Li Fugui snorted, “What Li Fugui? Call me Qi Sha Dao Zi!”

Qi Sha Dao Zi was a disciple of the Wu Qing Sect of the Great Zhou Dynasty. The Wu Qing Sect excelled in swordsmanship and was deeply devoted to the sword. It was a renowned sword sect situated at the junction of two prefectures in the southeastern coastal region of the Great Zhou Dynasty.

The Wu Qing Sect was considered a branch of the Jiange, and its founder was a disciple of the Jiange.

“I’ve been waiting here for over six months before finally waiting for the Sword Tomb to open. You’re lucky to have stumbled upon it right away.”

Qi Sha Dao Zi remained honest and allowed Qin Luan to pull him over to the tea stall. Just

as Qin Luan was about to introduce Qi Sha Dao Zi to the boss, the stall owner gave them a stern look.

The tea stall was not big, with only three tables. They were occupying the space here, not drinking tea, but chattering for a long time, affecting other people’s business.

It was okay to drink cheap tea by yourself, but you couldn’t let a group of juniors accompany you to drink, so Jiang Li got up and took them to find another place.

There was no need to pay for the tea, Zhang Long and Lu Bucong had already paid for Jiang Li.

Walking on the road, Qin Luan was about to introduce Jiang Li to Qi Sha Daozi when a group of people came towards him and accidentally bumped into Song Ying.

“You are walking without paying attention to the road.” The other party did not apologize, but turned around and scolded Song Ying.

“Are you unreasonable? It was obviously you who bumped into someone, and you still think you are right?” Qin Luan subconsciously protected Song Ying behind him and spoke up for her.

The little fox on his shoulder also made a fierce and cute expression towards the other party.

Qi Sha Daozi quickly grabbed Qin Luan, pointed at the insignia on his sleeve, and whispered, “This is someone from the Fearless Alliance. Don’t be so stubborn and confront them.”

“The Fearless Alliance? What’s that?” Qin Luan had never heard of it.

“It’s the largest organization in the Great Sui Dynasty, made up of many sects. Each of those sects has a True Immortal at the lowest level, ruling them. With the exception of Jiange, every sect in the Great Sui Dynasty with a patriarch at the Fusion Stage is included.”

Qi Sha’s concise explanation made Qin Luan retreat.

The Fusion Stage was terrifying.

The Fearless Alliance was united internally but overbearing externally. They ran rampant throughout the Great Sui Dynasty, looking down on everyone except the imperial family. Local officials were even required to show respect, which led to the disciples within the alliance becoming arrogant and unreasonable.

“Boy, are you scared? If you’re scared, just kowtow and get out of here!” Seeing that Qi Sha Daozi was afraid of them, the Fearless Alliance members became emboldened.

“You’re still not grateful for Young Master Yu’s generosity!”

“Young Master Yu is a direct blood relative of the Alliance’s Heterogeneous Elder!”

“You look like a country bumpkin from somewhere else, and you’ve never heard of our Fearless Alliance.”

Jiang Li was speechless after hearing this. How could he put it? He was afraid he wouldn’t know he was a lackey.

“Shut up!” Jiang Li didn’t even need to intervene; Yuan Wuxing, as an elder, would have stood up for the younger one.

Not to mention Jiang Renhuang was right next to him, even without him, he’d have dared to take action. What Fearless Alliance? The worst that could happen was they’d have left the Great Sui Dynasty.

Yuan Wuxing waved his hand to smite these arrogant individuals, but was neutralized by another force, dissipating into thin air.

“Fellow Daoist, how can you be so angry? It’s just a verbal dispute between juniors, yet you’re resorting to v*olence?”

The Fearless Alliance also had an elder to defend him, a cultivator in the middle stage of the Nascent Soul stage.

Yuan Wuxing didn’t engage in a verbal argument, but went straight to work. This place was different from the Great Zhou. The Great Zhou was a place of reason, while here, fists were the rule.

The opponent was surprised by Yuan Wuxing’s unruly behavior and immediately attacked. “Not to mention being a Fearless Alliance member, even if we were both in the middle Nascent Soul stage, how could you possibly be so confident of defeating me?”

After ten blows, Yuan Wuxing’s opponent was coughing up blood. Knowing he’d faced a tough opponent, he terrifiedly used Blood Escape and fled, taking Yu Shao with him.

Before leaving, he uttered a harsh warning: “If you dare, tell me your names! The five of you wait, and the Fearless Alliance will avenge you!”

The five, of course, were Yuan Wuxing, Qin Luan, Song Ying, Qi Sha Daozi, and Jiang Li.

However, before Yuan Wuxing could even name himself, he fled.

“Oh my, Uncle Yuan, you’re being impulsive!” Qi Sha Daozi frightened. “The Sword Tomb is about to open, and you’ve got the Fearless Alliance on your side. It’s bound to cause trouble.” Unexpectedly,

Qi Sha Daozi noticed that Qin Luan and the other two didn’t show any fear at all.

Qin Luan pointed at Jiang Li and proudly introduced him, “This is Senior Jiang, whom I met in the Mysterious Secret Realm.”

Mysterious Secret Realm, Senior Jiang.

These two key words instantly revealed Jiang Li’s identity to Qi Sha Daozi.

Qi Sha Daozi shuddered, his pride rising to the sky. What the hell was this Fearless Alliance? Come on, give it a try!

As for his instigation in the secret realm to attack Jiang Li, well—the Human Emperor probably wouldn’t hold a grudge.

Probably.

Jiang Li still admired Qi Sha Daozi. Although there was a hint of arrogance, the fact that he dared to attack Jiang Li, knowing his true identity, was truly commendable and rare.

The sects within the Fearless Alliance shared a common trait: their ancestors had been defeated by the Sword Sovereign.

Four thousand years ago, the Sword Sovereign was arrogant. To hone his swordsmanship, he challenged renowned masters one by one. None could defeat the young Sword Sovereign. Although his achievements were kept secret, the masters, embarrassed at being defeated by a junior, bore a grudge against the Sword Sovereign, and by extension, against the Sword Pavilion.

The Sword Sovereign revitalized the Sword Pavilion, bringing it to prominence and propelling it to the forefront, with numerous cultivators in the Fusion Stage emerging.

After the Sword Lord vanished, the sects formed an alliance to suppress the Sword Pavilion, forming the prototype of the Fearless Alliance.

Fearless meant unafraid of the Sword Lord.

The Sword Pavilion could have raised the matter at the Jiuzhou Council, and Jiang Li would have intervened.

However, the Sword Pavilion firmly believed that sword cultivators would rather die than bend, and refused to seek help. They believed that being suppressed was due to weakness, and that becoming stronger would solve this problem.

Jiang Li repeatedly offered his help, but the Sword Pavilion consistently refused.

Jiang Li felt that everyone in the Sword Pavilion was mentally unstable.

But this time, there was a reason to help Jiange.

Jiang Li pulled out a long-distance communication talisman: “Kong Hu, help me give the Fearless Alliance of the Great Sui a warning.”

Zhang Konghu, buried in his food, heard Jiang Li calling him, gulped down his water, and swallowed his food: “What’s wrong?”

Jiang Li recounted what had happened, concluding: “The Fearless Alliance said they wanted revenge on me. Threatening the Human Emperor is a grave crime.”

“…You’re using this as a sting operation.” Zhang Konghu was stunned.

“What do you mean by sting operation? You just learned a word and misused it. Does it really apply? This is called understanding the people’s sentiments and sharing their joys.” Jiang Li corrected him.

“Don’t bully me because I’m uneducated.”

“Are you going to do it?”

“Yes, I’ll definitely do it if there’s a fight!” Zhang Konghu said excitedly. As a physical cultivator, who wouldn’t like a fight? He immediately grabbed his bowl and chopsticks, stood up, and flew towards the Great Sui, eating as he flew.

“Striking”—literally, hitting and beating.

Jiang Li hung up the communication talisman with confidence.

The Fearless Alliance boasts several Fusion Stage masters, but they’re all in the early to mid-Fusion stage. Facing Zhang Konghu, a reckless warrior whose physique resembles that of a Tribulation Crossing Stage warrior, they’d be beaten to a pulp.

How could the Fearless Alliance’s Fusion Stage masters be compared to those of the Human Emperor Palace?
