Chapter 108 The World Where the Brahma Tower Is Located

Most of the issues

raised at the meeting weren’t serious, and Jiang Li was exhausted. He knew the problem: without the demons to bother them, and with him in charge of Jiuzhou, these guys were simply too idle in their comfortable surroundings.

Jiang Li considered finding a reason to get them to do something, but he couldn’t think of anything for the time being.

He could see that everyone was happy, simply because they could explore the universe again.

Compared to the planets in the universe, Jiuzhou was quite large. If it were the planet from Jiang Li’s previous life, it would be about the size of ten Jupiters.

Even so, cultivators in the Fusion Stage would find it difficult to flex their muscles in Jiuzhou. Most would choose to fight at high altitude or soar into the universe to engage in combat.

Furthermore, Jiuzhou was subject to restrictions. While those who had lived there their entire lives might not have noticed any problems, cultivators at the Divine Transformation Stage, which allowed for brief periods of cosmic activity, or the Fusion Stage, which allowed for extended periods, would be surprised to discover how powerful they truly were upon reaching the universe.

On the Kyushu Continent, they leveled mountains and filled the sea, making clouds and rain with a flick of their hand. But in the universe, free from the constraints of Kyushu’s laws, altering the orbits of celestial bodies and even exploding planets was a piece of cake.

Jiang Li, having just reached the Mahayana stage, had flattened planets and used them as chess pieces, playing hundreds of games of Go with Bai Hongtu.

However, the Human Emperor Palace still advised cultivators in the Fusion stage to refrain from altering the orbits and exploding stars, lest they find themselves missing a few stars every night.

…

With the threat of the Celestial Immortal Demon eliminated, Jiang Li could seek the Brahma Tower.

The Brahma Tower, which controls the laws of space, was of great significance to Kyushu.

He had originally planned to search for the Brahma Tower after finding the Yin-Yang Heavenly Seal, but after returning to Kyushu from the world of the Daozu Immortal Corpse, he encountered numerous issues, forcing him to put his search on hold for a while.

Jiang Li purchased another Brahma Tower from the store, but the other party, as usual, fled using the laws of space before being summoned to Kyushu.

He had no choice but to go looking for it himself.

When those rebellious immortal artifacts tore through space to travel to other worlds, the system saved their coordinates, making it easy to determine which world they were in.

Jiang Li asked Yin Yang Tian Yin if he could find the Brahma Tower’s location. Yin Yang Tian Yin politely replied that the grandson had placed numerous spatial barriers on him, effectively separating him from the tower by several worlds, weakening the power of cause and effect. He could only confirm that the Brahma Tower was still in that world, but not its exact location.

Seeing the Yin Yang Tian Yin once again rendered useless, Jiang Li had no choice but to let Yin Yang Tian Yin continue his research on spiritual treasure cultivation.

Jiang Li then asked Wu Zhi Buddha what the Brahma Tower’s personality might be if it gained intelligence.

Wu Zhi Buddha thought for a moment and said it might prefer to reason in public.

Jiang Li informed a few of his closest friends that he was leaving Jiuzhou and traveling to another world.

[Teleport to an unknown world?]

“Teleport.”

Jiang Li could also tear through space himself and fly through the void, but system teleportation was faster. After all, the source point had been garbled by his own scramble, so he could use it at will.

…

In the dilapidated, desolate city, buildings leaned, doors and windows broken. The bright sunlight faded, unable to illuminate the gray city.

Despite their parents’ stories and documentaries, children born in this generation still find it difficult to imagine the city’s former prosperity. They also struggle to imagine what a world without life-threatening dangers would be like.

In this city, houses have lost their original function of providing safety, becoming quagmires and traps. Once inside, life or death is uncertain. Who knows how many zombies lurk within, and how many people have perished within.

A zombie wandered through the city, instinctively searching for prey.

“Sister, that lone first-level zombie has entered our encirclement!” Someone perched on the roof of a small building, seeing the zombie, spoke with excitement.

The contents of a single first-level zombie could provide enough food and clothing for a brother and sister for a month. Of course, if they were converted into weapons and other supplies, they would be depleted quickly.

He used a zombie detector to confirm the zombie’s level: it was a first-level zombie.

“Little brother, calm down. Check if there are any other zombies or people around!”

The elder sister, crouching on the eighth floor of a building, acted more calmly.

She used several mirrors to observe the zombies below, repeatedly adjusting the mirrors to check their level and whether there were any nearby zombies or veterans waiting to take advantage.

In this apocalyptic world, the siblings faced more than just zombies.

“Sister, are you ready? The prey is about to leave the encirclement!” the younger brother’s voice was slightly anxious, and he kept fiddling with his intercom headset.

“No ambush, attack!” the elder sister ordered decisively.

The siblings leaped from the tall buildings on either side. Both wore black armored suits, their blades flashing with a cold light. They leaped silently, aiming for the zombie’s limbs and neck!

The zombie’s weak spot was its head, and its most valuable brain core was also in the brain. The siblings couldn’t attack the head directly, as this would have destroyed their ambush.

By the time the zombie noticed their movements, it was less than three meters away.

The zombie, relying on instinct, managed to dodge, but the elder sister still chopped off one of its arms.

The younger brother pressed forward, swinging his dagger in a series of elaborate patterns in the air. He attempted to chop off the zombie’s head, but the zombie, though irrational, knew its own weaknesses and would rather let his brother strike its body than its neck.

The younger brother grew anxious, knowing how rare today’s opportunity was. If he squandered it, the siblings would be starving and lying in ambush for days.

The zombie’s skin was dry, like a corpse stored in a crypt. It roared at the younger brother in anger, its shrunken muscles visible as they moved.

The zombie pounced on the younger brother, its five fingers exerting force, tearing open his augmented suit. The younger brother screamed and retreated in terror.

He had been scratched by the zombie!

But after the scream, he quickly fell silent, enduring the pain and fear, not wanting to distract his sister.

The sister was calmer than her brother. With nimble agility, she quickly approached the zombie, taking up the gap left by her brother’s failed attack and continuing her assault.

Her brother could recover from the infection briefly, but the most important thing now was to kill this zombie, or both siblings would become zombie food!

No longer hoping for the zombie’s brain core, the sister attacked its head.

However, the zombie was even more agile than her sister. With a roll, it picked up her severed arm, using it as a weapon, swinging at her.

Even a detached zombie arm was highly infectious, and its nails were sharper than a knife. The sister’s cheap protective suit couldn’t withstand a few scratches.

The sister was left in a state of panic.

To her horror, this zombie displayed a tool-wielding prowess unlike any other first-tier zombie. It was clearly a second-tier zombie!

This zombie was about to evolve!

Their zombie detectors were too cheap to determine its exact first-tier stage!

The sister pulled out her pistol, holding a knife in one hand and a gun in the other. The knife slashed, the

gun rang out, aiming to smash the zombie’s head. For more than a dozen rounds, the sister slashed at the zombie with her knife, but the zombie blocked her blows with its arms

. Using her body weight and the strength of her arms, the sister pinned the zombie, forcing it to lean back at an angle exceeding the human body’s limits, its spine creaking, yet the zombie felt no pain.

Seizing the opportunity, she fired with her left hand, aiming for the zombie’s eyes and unleashing a powerful blast, aiming to shatter its eyeballs and the brain behind them!

The zombie suddenly tilted its head back, and as it righted itself, a strange smile appeared, its two rows of neat teeth gripping the bullet!

“Sister, be careful! The zombie detector shows it’s a Level 2 zombie!”

The sister’s pupils constricted as she felt the zombie’s strength suddenly increase, ready to send her flying.

Using the force of the force, the sister distanced herself from the zombie and approached her brother, intending to take him away.

There was no way she could defeat a Level 2 zombie; leaving this place was her only chance of survival.

“Sister, go by yourself. Don’t take me with you!” The younger brother saw through his sister’s plan. Even if she left on her own, she wouldn’t be able to escape the second-level zombies. How could she possibly escape with him as a burden?

His eyes flashed, his body trembling unnaturally, as he began to transform into a zombie.

Zombies were ranked according to their level, and he could already feel his body’s fear of this second-level zombie.

“I’ll hold it back, you go!” With great difficulty, the younger brother rose to his feet, overcoming his instinctive fear and determined to fight the zombies.

His sister knew this was the best solution. When they were eight years old, their parents had sold them for food. They had barely escaped from the cannibalistic chopping block. They had depended on each other for ten years, surviving in this hopeless zombie world. Now, if his brother died, she would have no desire to live.

Better to die.

The zombies paid no attention to their thoughts. With lightning speed, they sprinted across the ruins, charging towards them.

Despair washed over both siblings.

The elder sister closed her eyes, waiting for death to come. After a while, she felt no pain.

She hesitantly opened her eyes and saw a strange man in ancient costume speaking strange words.

“What the hell?”

She couldn’t understand what he was saying.

Her younger brother had witnessed the scene.

The stranger suddenly appeared above the zombie. He was startled by its appearance, then instinctively stomped his foot, crushing it to death.

The younger brother recalled a time when he was a child, when he had also been startled by the thrashing of its many legs and instinctively crushed the insect to death.

The stranger was, of course, Jiang Li.

Jiang Li had quickly learned the language of this world. “This little brother doesn’t look well?”

The elder sister realized her brother was still in danger. She pulled a potion from her backpack and injected it into his arm. His rapid breathing gradually slowed, his eyes returned to black, and his body stopped shaking.

Jiang Li channeled his consciousness and discovered that they were on a planet, and that a zombie crisis was brewing.

He frowned slightly, realizing the precarious position humanity held in this world.

“I’ve arrived in a new world,” Jiang Li contacted Bai Hongtu.

Bai Hongtu spoke much faster than usual, “Let me see what kind of world this is.”

Jiang Li noticed Bai Hongtu’s unusual pace and said, “The speed of time in this world is different from that in Jiuzhou.” “

That’s normal,” Bai Hongtu had expected. “I heard that the speed of time in each world was originally different. After the Immortal Realm used the Immortal Ladder to connect all worlds, the speed of time in all worlds was equalized.”

“It was just a coincidence that the speed of time in your previous world was the same as in Jiuzhou.”

They each calculated the time and compared it, finding a huge difference between the speeds in the new world and the new one. Nine thousand years had passed in Jiuzhou, while only a thousand had passed in this world.

“Why is it so messy here? Did you collapse their buildings when you were there?” Bai Hongtu looked at the background of Jiang Li’s side: abandoned houses, overgrown weeds, and a desolate scene.

“You just say that!” Jiang Li despised Bai Hongtu’s behavior.

He grabbed a savage zombie from a nearby distance and showed it to Bai Hongtu.

His brother’s eyes widened. The zombie detector indicated that the zombie was a Level 3!

He’d heard that the most powerful zombie in this abandoned city was a Level 3 zombie.

“Locals call this a zombie. Whoever it bites becomes a new zombie.”

Hearing this familiar description, an image flashed through Bai Hongtu’s mind, and he shuddered. “Isn’t this the scene when we were still candidates for the Human Emperor and saw the Heavenly Demon disintegrate?”

“The entire city was like that back then, and you acted decisively and killed them all. That’s how you earned the nickname Jiang Rentu!”

Bai Hongtu recalled a scene he didn’t want to revisit. The Outer Devil, driven to desperation, unleashed his Demon Disintegration Technique on the Tianyuan Dynasty, causing the inhabitants of a city to lose their minds. Like rabid dogs, they bit anyone they encountered, each becoming a new source of contamination, contaminating others.

Jiang Li, carrying a basket of swords, rushed into the city, hacking down the infected, slashing all his weapons until they were completely broken.

Jiang Li had seen zombie movies in his previous life. While the true combat effectiveness of the armies and governments depicted in those movies remains to be seen, the threat posed by zombies is real.

While other candidates for the Human Emperor hadn’t grasped the terrifying nature of zombies, Jiang Li knew.

That’s why, when the Outer Devil disintegrated and infected a city, he dared to be the first to rush in and kill.

“It’s quite similar,” Jiang Li nodded. “But you can’t say every zombie is the work of the Outer Devil.”

Jiang Li slew the terrifying zombie and extracted its brain core.

“The infected people didn’t have this thing in their heads at the time. This thing is very similar to a spirit stone and can be absorbed by humans.”

Jiang Li casually tossed the third-level brain core to the siblings, who were stunned by this sudden happiness.

“I think the Corpse Driving Sect is quite suitable for this place,” Bai Hongtu said.

Jiang Li agreed with Bai Hongtu’s opinion: “If they knew there was such a world, they might have to relocate the entire sect.”
