Chapter 1775 Dao Scar

. “Fake Yucun’s world of eternal nothingness could be a backup. He failed to successfully engrave the traces of [True/False] in his previous life. After devouring my true self in this life, his understanding has deepened, and he’s undergone a qualitative transformation. Perhaps he’ll give it another try.” Xuanyuan Hong spoke first.

“How about your godhood?” The Slayer’s words startled.

“Even if you possess the true/false destiny, becoming the savior won’t be easy. You’ll need to patiently settle down for several lifetimes and observe the various changes.” The Fishing Master was less optimistic.

…

Though united in purpose, the other gods held differing opinions on this matter.

Zhang Fan simply listened, not voicing his opinion.

“In any case, we must first visit Seniors Zhen Shiyin and Fake Yucun.”

Reassured, he settled Bai Shuyue there. Then, with the help of the Fishing Master and the others, Zhang Fan located Zhen Shiyin, hidden amidst the mountains and sea.

It must be said that Zhen Shiyin was truly well hidden.

Even after Zhang Fan learned of his existence, he searched the mountains and seas, but could find no trace of Zhen Shiyin. Even after he had tapped into his inner understanding of the Dao, Zhen Shiyin remained cloistered.

It took a sweeping, personal search by a group of accomplished diviners to finally locate him.

“Mobilizing so many forces, I’m afraid they have ill intentions,” Zhen Shiyin glared at the sudden intruders.

Zhang Fan said, somewhat helplessly, “You might not believe me, but I’m here to repay a favor.”

“Repay a favor?” Zhen Shiyin sneered.

“You actually understand the principles of the [Shiyin] that I’ve grasped. I guess you gained them from killing me in your last life. No wonder I had a vague impression of you. You’ve gathered so many helpers this time…”

Zhen Shiyin’s eyes gleamed fiercely: “Stop the rambling and get started! Though you outnumber me, I, Zhen Shiyin, am not necessarily afraid of you!”

Facing Zhen Shiyin’s misunderstanding, Zhang Fan simply said, “You used the [Shiyin] as a pen to attempt to depict [truth and falsehood], but you always failed. Now that the truth and falsehood are before your eyes, don’t you want to give it a try?”

“Hmm?”

And so, united in purpose, the misunderstanding was dispelled.

Zhen Shiyin was overjoyed, a completely different person.

“Great, great! I didn’t expect you to actually succeed!”

“The truth and falsehood are truly mysterious!”

From time to time, a deadly pale light shone from him, deepening in intensity. Through Zhang Fan’s perspective, he finally saw the ultimate destiny he had so long sought.

Zhen Shiyin, already atop the mountains and seas, saw his cultivation and strength soar even further in a short period of time.

In reality, after glimpsing the true and the false, the diviners each gained something.

However, their paths were far less closely connected to the true and the false than the True Shiyin’s.

Therefore, their gains were far less substantial.

After meeting the True Shiyin, the final goal was to find the False Yucun.

“I wonder if there are any traces left in his world.”

Their doubts were soon resolved.

With the True Shiyin leading the way, Zhang Fan sensed a faint sense of familiarity the moment they returned to the world of Eternal Nothingness.

The False Yucun, standing at the center of the world, stared at the trace that shouldn’t have been there, his expression solemn.

“It’s not completely preserved, only a faint remnant. But…”

“This is definitely a good start!”

The crowd exclaimed, as if they had seen hope.

After another round of unity, the False Yucun’s doubts were finally dispelled.

He was even more excited than the other deities: “If I get one, I get all. If the traces are complete, this eternal world might truly give birth to my own [True and False]!”

Finally, he found Taoist Kong, and an unprecedented scene of joy and peace unfolded among the mountains and seas.

With a shared purpose, they all assisted Zhang Fan in writing the scroll of [True and False],

attempting to inscribe traces of truth and falsehood.

Meanwhile, the deities discussed the possibility of promoting Zhang Fan’s deification.

“Throughout our long cycle of reincarnation, we have all vanquished mountains and seas and attained godhood.”

“However, according to my memory, the [stars] we faced after becoming gods were not the true demise and return to true gods. They were the true mountains and seas.”

“In other words, although we call ourselves deities, we are in reality but false gods.”

“However, Fellow Daoist Zhang Fan, perhaps you can attain [True Godhood].”

…

This was the best solution they arrived at after collective deliberation.

How could the return of all things to gods be reversed? Even at the pinnacle of life, with their collective wisdom and efforts, the answer to this question remained elusive.

“Only by becoming a true god can there perhaps be a solution.”

“The only question is, after achieving true godhood… will I still be myself?”

Zhang Fan glanced at the crowd.

Although the memories he inherited from his original body were somewhat fragmented, the fear of his eventual return to godhood was crystal clear.

“Therefore, this step requires extreme caution.”

“After all, what will happen after becoming a god… no one in this world knows.”

“We are merely tiny consciousnesses living on one link in a long, endless cycle of reincarnation.”

He didn’t rush into a decision. After all, this life had just begun, and there was ample time to prepare.

The smoothness of the depiction of the true and false scrolls was somewhat beyond Zhang Fan’s expectations.

Perhaps the battle with the Devouring Deity had transformed him fundamentally.

He had easily accomplished something that neither he nor his original body could achieve in his previous life.

A boundless scroll flashed across the eternal void.

It appeared within the world, yet seemed to encompass the entire world.

It appeared for a moment, then vanished.

But everyone saw it clearly.

“This world is no longer void.”

Fake Yucun wept with joy. Influenced by their shared purpose, the other ascended gods were also filled with emotion.

“Our top priority now is to find ways to delay the arrival of the end.”

“Let [True and Falsehood] emerge from this trace.”

Zhang Fan nodded. “Although the trace of true and falsehood is formed, it is only a brand after all. It is still difficult to escape the changes of true and false.” “

With each reset, I’m afraid the trace will be greatly reduced. Only by nurturing [True and Falsehood] here, and confronting true and false with true and false,

can we leave a constant in the repeated resets.”

“Besides me, an outsider, there is another constant,” Zhang Fan repeated.

Now that a consensus had been reached, it was time for the various deified guests to display their powers.

“We’ve been in hiding for so long, it’s time to get active,”

the Life Slayer spoke first. “I’ll go to the Primordial Immortal Realm first and forcibly end those people’s ambitions. If we want to prolong the survival of the Mountain and Sea, we must first reunite the Mountain and Sea, a truly magnificent feat. Only those at the Saint level can achieve this reunion. The people of the Primordial Immortal Realm will serve as a helping hand.”

A flicker of excitement flashed in the eyes of the usually lazy Fisherman, seemingly unsettled. He

suddenly stood up and said, “I’ll go with you. Hehe, it’s been a while since I’ve taken action, and I’m itching to do something.”

If only the Life Slayer was the deified guest, there might be some complications.

But if the Fisherman were added…

the Saints of the Primordial Immortal Realm, even with their sheer number, wouldn’t make much of a fuss.

Everyone present was absolutely certain of this.

After all, only after attaining godhood can one truly understand the vast gulf between the divine and the mortal.

Though they were merely passing through the divine realm, the transformations brought about by this experience were enough to crush other mountain and sea saints.

Not to mention, they now also had the blessing of [True/False].

In the Primordial Immortal Realm,

all things competed for development, a fierce struggle lurked.

After countless years of conflict, this realm had achieved a delicate and strange balance.

All saints lay dormant, waiting for the unexpected change that would allow them to achieve divine status.

However, the appearance of the Life Slayer and the Fisherman went unnoticed.

The Fisherman glanced around, a look of regret in his eyes: “I haven’t been to this realm in ages.”

“I was so stubborn back then.”

The Life Slayer, however, showed no emotion, but said in a stern tone: “Wake them up early, and it’s actually a good thing for them.”

“Action!”

The moment the Life Slayer spoke, all saints in this realm, no matter where they hid or what form they took, were horrified to discover that a sword, somewhere between reality and illusion, had quietly hovered above their heads.

It lacked substance, yet it could not be dispelled.

The knife hung overhead, as if their own lives were hanging by a thread.

“Who?”

Most of the saints were furious, trying to find the master behind the knife shadow.

Some, sensing something was amiss, considered escaping this world, fleeing to the mountains and seas.

However, just as they were about to leave the Primordial Immortal Realm, their vision went black. They

were then trapped in an unknown place.

“Stay still for now,”

a calm voice boomed from above, seemingly imbued with an undeniable charm.

“Whose voice is this…”

“The Fisherman of the Mountains and Seas?”

“Is his power so terrifying?”

The saints were filled with fear, yet their confusion was unspeakable.

They instantly locked onto the saints, intent on capturing them.

What realm was this?

They were so powerful, why hadn’t they participated in the battle for the Spirit Division?

Just as they were puzzled, figures were thrown in from above, one after another.

They were all familiar figures in the Primordial Immortal Realm.

The saints were even more horrified.

It didn’t take long to pack up and clear the Primordial Immortal Realm.

“Oh, boring. I thought they’d at least put up some resistance.” The Life Slayer sighed.

“I can release them all, and then you can try again. No need for the transformation of true and false,” the Fisherman suggested with a smile.

“Forget it, though. It’s troublesome.” The Life Slayer shrugged.

Then, suddenly, he sighed again, “The transformation of true and false is indeed infinitely mysterious. But ultimately, it’s not for us. I’m afraid that in the next life, without a shared heart and mind, without the blessing of true and false, it will be difficult to adapt, and greed will creep in.”

“It’s like when we once sought the gods. Even though we knew it was unattainable, we still couldn’t let go of our obsession.”

“If that were to happen…”

“Please stop me,” the Life Slayer said solemnly.

“Me too.” The Fisherman dropped his smile.

A moment later.

“I haven’t had such a bountiful harvest in ages. It’s time to see what’s coming!”

The Fisherman manifested a gourd in his hand. He tilted his head back, took a swig, and casually tossed it to the Life Slayer.

The Life Slayer didn’t disdain it, downing it wholeheartedly.

The two then glanced at the now silent Primordial Immortal Realm before quietly returning.

The saints were released.

Though free, the blade still hung over their heads, and none of them acted unwisely.

“Becoming a god is an illusion, so stop wasting

your time.” “Of course, I know persuasion won’t work. So, I’ve placed a blade over your heads.”

“Please, everyone, help us restore the mountains and seas. When they are rebuilt, I will set you free,”

the Slayer said coldly.

Though his words were polite, even using the word “please,

” the saints could clearly sense the sharp edge of the blade above them, drawing closer. Even those who

hesitated to agree nodded in agreement.

“However, the mountains and seas are endless. A successful restoration…”

“Even if we take action, it would probably be a drop in the bucket,” the tower said gravely.

“Don’t worry, you only need to take the lead.” It was Zhang Fan who spoke.

In a flash, hundreds of phantoms emerged from Zhang Fan’s body.

“I will use the method of True Spirit Infusion to continuously create Saints of the Mountains and Seas. You will be the primary ones, and those who become Saints later will assist. With all our efforts, even though the Mountains and Seas are now in tatters, it won’t be long before they are successfully restored.”

“True Spirit Infusion? Create Saints?” The Saints of the Primordial Beginning were shocked at this statement. The

familiarity of the Mountains and Seas as they knew them had been shattered in a single day.

They suddenly realized that the truth of the Mountains and Seas might be far deeper than they had imagined.

The situation was more powerful than they were.

Even reluctant, under the spur of the sword overhead, the Saints had no choice but to obey.

Restoring the Mountains and Seas was indeed a tedious and arduous task.

Even with the strength of the Saints of the Primordial Beginning, even with the continuous support of Saints,

the Saints were still exhausted physically and mentally from the long process of rebuilding the Mountains and Seas.

However, after the blade overhead mercilessly slashed Suo, who attempted to escape this fate, the other Saints fell silent.

Reluctantly, they continued.

Suo hadn’t perished either.

With the fatal flash of the blade, Suo lost his path and fell from the Saint realm.

But he was forcibly infused with his true spirit, switching paths and returning to the great cause of reuniting the mountains and seas.

However, this time, his life was far less comfortable.

Like all the other Saints constantly being forged, he needed to physically traverse the virtual realms. Then, he used his bodies as bridges to build the path to reuniting the mountains and seas. Meanwhile,

the Saints of the Beginning simply needed to see the big picture, act at crucial moments, and ensure everything went smoothly.

The difference might not seem noticeable in the short term, but over time, the difference in their experiences became truly profound.

The stark difference in Suo’s circumstances before and after completely extinguished any thoughts of escape from the Saints of the Beginning.

While the project of reuniting the mountains and seas was a long one, fortunately, the current situation indicated that there was no end in sight.

Just be patient, and it would pass.

When the Mountain and Sea are reunited, they will be free.

With the strength of the [God-Bearers] realm of the Slashing Life Lord and the Fishing Old Man, they will not be able to deceive them.

“Fellow Daoist Fan, this method is indeed very clever. I originally thought that suppressing the supervisors would take a lot of effort.”

“I didn’t expect the Saints to be so obedient. It really saved us a lot of effort.” Wangji Sou exclaimed in admiration.

“It’s just…”

The group of God-Bearers looked at the eternal void world.

The birth of truth and falsehood still seemed to be a long way off.

“What if the Mountain and Sea successfully reunites, but the new true and false have not yet arrived? What should we do then?”

Zhang Fan’s face was calm, his eyes deep: “Then we can only make the Mountain and Sea Saints suffer again.”
