Chapter 1291:

Prince Zhenjin, of noble status, naturally had a multitude of expert guardians around him.

Chief among these masters was a Xixia monk named Yang Lianzhenjia. He was once a Xixia native, but after the Mongols conquered Xixia, he defected to the Mongols.

He was a rare genius in both Buddhism and martial arts. He

also came from the Tantric school, though from a different school than the Red Sun Dharma King.

The Red Sun Dharma King often boasted of being the foremost Tantric master, but he disdained to argue.

He cared less about being the foremost Tantric master than the foremost in the desert south.

Of all the masters guarding Prince Zhenjin, he held the highest status, allowing him to chat with Zhenjin on a friendly note.

Despite the ferocious fireworks display, he had no intention of intervening.

He believed that these matters could be left to other masters and guest officials; his primary mission was to protect the prince.

So when he saw the sudden, sudden attack from the figure, he didn’t care at all. He thought to himself that the young woman across from him, possessing unparalleled cultivation, was already absurd; how could there possibly be another like her?

But the next moment, his eyes nearly popped out of his head. Wherever the shadow passed, it was practically unstoppable. The Mongol warriors who blocked its path were instantly pushed aside, and in the blink of an eye, it was right in front of him.

He could no longer sit idly by and frantically waved his palm to repel the figure.

Unfortunately, the palm power he usually prided himself on was easily dismantled, and a strange energy force flung him backward, landing squarely on the Mongol warriors who had rushed to support him.

The assassin, however, continued to charge at Prince Zhenjin without stopping.

At that moment, he felt a surge of fear and shouted, “Master Vajra Sect, protect the prince!”

“Yes!” A plain-looking monk beside Prince Zhenjin suddenly stepped forward and stood beside him.

His hands formed simple hand seals, and a golden glow shone from his body.

The assassin was, of course, Zaun. Unable to stop Yanhua from carelessly escaping, he took advantage of Yanhua’s distraction to blend in with the Mongol warriors.

Then, finding an opportunity, he struck. Yanhua’s plan aligned: if they could capture Prince Zhenjin as a hostage, they could forget about the perilous Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber scheme.

Everything went smoothly, and the Mongol warriors had no time to react before he overran them in a flash.

He also caught the most senior lama, standing beside Prince Zhenjin, by surprise, temporarily tossing him aside.

Seeing a bald monk blocking his way, he dismissed the attack. He unleashed

a series of quick attacks, theoretically enough to send his foe flying.

To his surprise, his attacks met with no reaction, as if he were a mountain.

I’d just heard them call him the Vajra Sect Master, the one with the indestructible Vajra skills!

Zuan finally reacted, but it was too late. Yang Lianzhenjia, on the other side, had already pounced, and the other expert guards were also attacking, forcing Zuan to retreat to Yanhua’s side.

“You’ve waited all this time, only to come out and act out a comedy?” Yanhua said grumpily.

Zuan smiled wryly, “I didn’t expect the prince to have such an invulnerable person by his side. I missed my chance.”

In fact, if he had tried again, it wouldn’t have been too difficult to break the Vajra Indestructible Divine Art, but everything had just happened in a split second, leaving no time to react. It was clear the Mongols wouldn’t give them a second chance. At that moment,

a Mongol warrior whispered something to Prince Zhenjin, and Zhenjin’s face flickered with surprise. “So it’s the Third Young Master Guo! The Golden Sword Prince Consort is truly extraordinary. Their son and daughter, born in middle age, have reached the pinnacle of cultivation.”

The Red Sun Dharma King couldn’t help but remark, “I’m afraid even Guo Jing and those so-called Five Supremes wouldn’t be able to match their cultivation.”

Everyone knew he was just trying to save face, but they also felt a certain degree of agreement.

It’s not like those present hadn’t seen Guo Jing before, and his cultivation level certainly couldn’t possibly match that of these two.

But how could his two young children possess such high cultivation?

Zhenjin continued, “I’ve treated you with courtesy, so why are you two so quick to attack?”

Zuan sighed, “Those with different philosophies cannot work together.”

Whatever they thought, unlocking this secret realm couldn’t possibly mean surrendering to the Mongols.

“If that’s the case, then I’ll have to be blunt. If you can take these two hostages, Xiangyang will fall in no time.” Zhenjin’s eyes lit up. Xiangyang was crucial to the Mongol conquest of the Song Dynasty. If they could achieve significant success in securing it, their future as emperor would be assured.

“Come on, whoever captures these two will be crowned the Mongol’s greatest warrior!”

Upon hearing this, the eyes of all the Mongol warriors present lit up. While the enemy was formidable, even a tiger fears a pack of wolves. Moreover, they had a number of top-tier experts on their side, so they had nothing to fear from them.

Now that Mongolia’s unification is assured, its territory is unprecedentedly vast. To truly claim the title of Mongolia’s greatest warrior would bring endless wealth and glory for several lifetimes.

Even the disciples of the Quanzhen Sect were excited, eager to use this opportunity to achieve great feats and revitalize the sect.

Feeling the hungry gazes of those around them, Zuan and Yanhua stood back to back, “Break out?”

While they had a significant advantage in a standoff, the Mongols were outnumbered.

They had just managed to surprise the enemy, but now they were surrounded, they no longer had that chance. The enemy would surge forward, making the situation extremely dangerous.

While both possessed profound vision and understanding, they often had to abide by the laws of physics.

Especially after the recent exchange, Yanhua’s internal energy had been greatly depleted.

“Hold the others back. Give me ten breaths to kill him before leaving.” Yanhua looked at the Red Sun Dharma King in the distance, her expression cold.

How dare such an ant covet her body?

Zuan knew her temper: “Okay!”

He charged directly at Prince Zhenjin. As expected, most of the masters were instantly drawn in and rushed to stop him.

The fight grew increasingly frightened. They had originally thought it would be easy to suppress him if they all joined forces, considering they had about five masters whose skills rivaled those two.

And there were a ton of other masters too! But even

with everyone working together, they couldn’t do anything to him!

His command of power and technique was appalling.

Fireworks finally found an opening and charged directly at the Red Sun Dharma King.

After the earlier test by Taoist Baisun, the Red Sun Dharma King was now reassured. This woman wasn’t as advanced as he’d imagined; their skills were roughly equal, but her techniques were formidable.

So he exploited his strengths and avoided his weaknesses, abandoning his most skilled techniques and engaging the opponent head-on with pure internal energy.

He knew the opponent wouldn’t dare challenge him in an internal energy duel, knowing he had so many helpers. Once she got caught up in this internal energy contest, she would be completely immobilized, and any nearby Mongol soldier could kill her.

However, his pupils quickly constricted as the opponent unexpectedly launched a palm strike to meet his attack. “Looking for death!” A glint of ruthlessness flashed in the Red Sun Dharma King’s eyes. “Can you really defeat me in an internal energy contest in a split second?” Furthermore,

the opponent had expended so much energy, there was no need for him to fear her. If he could hold her back for even a moment, she would be hacked to death by a flurry of swords. Their palms clashed, and he unleashed a surge of his internal energy, intending to inflict a heavy blow from the start. However, to his surprise, the opponent’s hand felt like cotton, impervious to any force. Then, a second later, he felt two overwhelming energies rebounding back—not only the opponent’s internal energy, but also his own full-strength attack. How did she do it? The Red Sun Dharma King, horrified, attempted to cast his Immortal Seal to throw him off, but it was too late. The terrifying force had shattered his heart meridians, killing him instantly. Zuan couldn’t help but admire Yanhua. As expected, she had dispatched a top-tier expert of her skill in just ten breaths. However, his expression changed immediately as a common Mongolian soldier beside Yanhua suddenly attacked, seizing the moment he was about to kill the Red Sun Dharma King and striking him in the back with a palm strike. Zuan hadn’t expected someone to replicate his move, even surpassing it. The aura he displayed in that instant, the precise timing, proved him to be anything but an ordinary soldier. Neither he nor Yanhua had noticed anything unusual about this man, and he had held back until now. His cultivation rivaled those top Mongolian masters, and he was a master of stealth and concealment. At that moment, Yanhua clearly reacted consciously, but the body and abilities of this world no longer allowed her to dodge successfully. She spat out a mouthful of blood and fell heavily forward.
