Keyboard Immortal - Chapter 2756

Discovery
“Yeah, could I have mistaken my own father? What’s wrong?” Fireworks looked at Zuan in confusion.
“Didn’t they say that the demon spider could take on other people’s appearances? What if he…” Zuan thought to himself, this place is so strange, as if it’s suppressing and sealing some demonic entity. Could this middle-aged man in the cage be his target?
“That vicious woman wants to get the secret of the Dreamland from my father, so she imprisoned him here. If this is her incarnation, she would have been out there deceiving us long ago. Why would she imprison him here?” Fireworks smiled. “If you’re still worried, I’ll ask him some questions only my father would know to confirm it.”
As he spoke, the caged Lord of Dreams finally awoke. Upon opening his eyes and seeing Fireworks, his once dazed look was replaced by surprise. He excitedly stood up and said, “Fireworks, why are you here?”
“Daddy, I’m here to save you.” Fireworks, her usual playful demeanor gone, now filled with tears.
She couldn’t wait to break free from the cage of bones outside and throw herself into his arms.
“My dear daughter, I’m fine, I’m fine…” The Dream Lord was also in tears.
Zuan was carefully examining her, a little worried, and he used his delusion-piercing eyes to check her. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw nothing unusual.
The Dream Lord noticed his gaze and asked curiously, “My dear daughter, who is this young man?”
Yanhua’s face suddenly flushed slightly. She came over, took Zuan’s hand, and introduced him, “Daddy, this is Zuan. It’s thanks to him that I was able to come here and rescue you.”
The Dream Lord was immediately relieved, and his eyes softened as he looked at Zuan. “You are a hero in your youth, a handsome man!”
Yanhua said shyly, “Daddy, if you don’t thank him, why are you saying all this nonsense?”
The Dream Lord laughed heartily, “My daughter has grown up and become more sensible than before.”
Isabella, standing beside him, felt a little uneasy. Seeing Brother Zu meet another woman with his parents, she felt awkward.
Fortunately, Fireworks also noticed her and immediately introduced her: “Dad, this is Isabella, the eldest daughter of the Arcadia family of the Universal Chamber of Commerce. She also made great efforts to rescue you this time.”
The Lord of Dreams bowed to Isabella and said: “I have heard of the name of Mr. Arcadia for a long time. I didn’t expect that his granddaughter is so outstanding. I will always remember this friendship in my heart.”
Isabella hurriedly returned the greeting: “Uncle, do you know my grandfather?”
The Lord of Dreams smiled slightly: “Who in the world doesn’t know Arcadia of the Universal Chamber of Commerce? It’s just that we have never met before. I’ll definitely come and thank you one day.”
After a few pleasantries, Zuan couldn’t help but explain his purpose. “Senior, we’ve been forced here by the Demon Spider. We’re looking for ways to deal with her. Do you have any leads?”
Hearing the word “Demon Spider,” the Dream Lord’s expression changed. “That vicious woman has caused us so much trouble!”
He then continued, “This special place is a forbidden area passed down from generation to generation in our Dream Land. There’s an ultimate formation here that can suppress and seal her, but it’s been so long, and the formation must be reactivated.”
“How do we reactivate the formation?” Zuan asked hurriedly.
“Follow me.” The Dream Lord stretched his arms and legs, feeling barely recovered, and led the way.
Zuan and the others hurriedly followed.
Soon, they arrived at a circular metal platform engraved with various mysterious patterns. The patterns extended to the center, forming a dark red blood moon.
The ruby in the center of the Dream Lord’s headdress lit up, and a beam of light shone upon the blood moon, causing it to suddenly illuminate.
The dark red above completely turned bright red, even shimmering, as if filled with blood.
Rumbling sounds echoed from the ground, like the churning of gears.
Feeling the ground shake, Isabella instinctively leaned towards Zaun, feeling a slight sense of security.
“Everyone,” the Dream Lord called, and they ascended the circular platform. Soon, the platform began to descend.
Gazing at the surrounding rock walls, they immediately understood it was an elevator, likely operated by the Dream Lord alone.
As they descended, the surroundings grew darker, though a red glow emanated from the center of the floor, creating an eerie feeling.
Thinking of the destructive winds that had just emanated from the rift, Zaun couldn’t help but ask, “Senior, what lies beneath this rift?”
The Dream Lord shook his head slightly. “I don’t know, actually. I only know that generations have told us to guard this place. If it weren’t for that enchantress, I probably wouldn’t have come here in my lifetime.”
Zaun fell into deep thought. The Dream Land had always guarded this place, but he didn’t know what it was guarding.
Whether they truly didn’t know, or perhaps they were unwilling to tell others…
In any case, according to previous reports, this area has been expanding out of control for the past thousand years.
It’s unclear if this was caused by the invasion of the demon spiders.
After an unknown amount of time, the platform finally reached its bottom, and the gate before them automatically opened, revealing a long passage.
This passage seemed to have its own lighting, and Zaun felt like he was in a sci-fi movie.
The Dream Lord was also a little nervous on the way. “This is my first time here, too. The ancestral teachings of the Dream Land prohibit entry unless it’s a matter of life and death for the Dream Land. Therefore, no Dream Lord has ever been here. Now that that enchantress has decimated our Dream Land, I imagine it’s a matter of life and death, and she’s too worried to care.”
Zaun was on guard, and Isabella took out various defensive items and distributed them to the others. They had encountered numerous dangers from the very beginning, and they were already wary.
However, surprisingly, they found no traps or anything along the way.
They then arrived at a circular room, surrounded by vast, curved screens. However, due to the passage of time, they seemed to have lost their power and remained inactive.
The Dream Lord rested on a metal pillar, roughly the height of a man, topped by a crystal ball.
He formed a seal with his hands, chanting an obscure incantation. He pricked his finger and dripped a drop of his blood onto the crystal ball.
The crystal ball began to illuminate, rays of light scattering around it. Scenes from various parts of this strange region began to appear on the screens.
There was the terrifying hurricane outside, the upside-down sea of fog, various mazes, and the rift valley they had recently experienced.
But even more striking were the spiders crawling everywhere and the massive figure on the screen.
Suddenly, the demonic spider seemed to sense something and turned back to gaze in their direction. Even through the screens, everyone felt a suffocating pressure.
The Dream Lord’s expression changed drastically. “Oh no! She’s discovered us! We must immediately activate the formation to seal her away. She’ll find us in thirty breaths at most!”
