Although he knew it wouldn’t affect him, Zuan instinctively held his breath, afraid to even move, fearing to alert the creature.

The spider stood there, its two rows of eyes fixed in his direction. After a moment, it finally moved, crawling directly towards the three men.

Zuan’s hair stood on end, staring intently at the creature, not making any rash moves.

Soon, the spider reached him, its expression a hint of doubt, and stretched out its claws, waving them towards him

. Zuan leaned back, narrowly avoiding them.

Zuan didn’t move immediately, waiting until he was sure the creature had truly left before quickly leaving the passage.

Seeing they were out of danger, Zaun set them down. The two girls’ faces flushed red, evidently the impact of the close contact had been immense.

“That was terrifying,” Isabella clutched her chest. She had seen everything clearly, knowing how dangerous it was.

Although it was in absolute darkness, her level of cultivation meant she could easily see if the spiders had the ability to become invisible in the dark.

“I thought the demon spider had spotted us,” Yanhua stuck out her tongue, as if regretting her teasing of Zaun, which had nearly gotten her noticed.

“Thankfully, we’re safe. There don’t seem to be any spiders here.” Zaun glanced around, noticing no spiders ahead, but a mist.

This mist was unlike the mysterious sea mist he’d seen before. It could even feel like a burning sensation on the skin.

Considering Zaun’s current strength and resistance to poison, the fact that he could even feel it gave one a good idea of how toxic this mist was.

“Be careful! This miasma will erode your vitality, flesh, and blood, ultimately reducing you to a pile of bones.” Fireworks stared at the skeletons lying nearby, evidently indicating that others had arrived here before and perished in the toxic mist.

Seeing this, Isabella pulled three orbs from her small bag. “These are poison-repellent orbs. Wearing them will grant you immunity to most toxins in the universe.”

In fact, at this point, it’s practically immune to all poisons.

However, with so many unknowns in the universe, she couldn’t be so sure.

Fireworks couldn’t help but sigh, “As expected of the daughter of the Universal Chamber of Commerce, you possess any treasure with ease.”

Isabella blushed slightly. “Sister Fireworks, stop teasing me. Aren’t you also the daughter of the Dreamland? The Dreamland is a place coveted by countless people in the universe.”

The three of them confidently explored the miasma, soon noticing a familiarity in the paths they had taken.

“Another maze?” Isabella frowned, clearly still haunted by the previous maze, where they had finally found their way out only to run into that terrifying demon spider.

Zaun shook his head. “This isn’t a maze, it’s just a trick.”

Those physical mazes were difficult to navigate unless one knew how to crack them, but these were different. Instead of a physical maze, they created an illusion, a constant feeling of being trapped.

Perhaps for others, this would be even more difficult, with a high probability of being trapped.

But for Zaun, with his delusion-piercing eyes, such illusions were a piece of cake.

Worried the two women might get lost, he led them inside, holding their hands.

“You, aren’t you deliberately taking advantage of Isabella?” Fireworks teased.

Fireworks shrugged. “I know him so well, it’s no big deal if he holds it for a bit.”

Isabella bit her lip, unsure how to respond.

“Come on, it’s time to tease her,” Zaun glared at Fireworks.

Fireworks stuck out her tongue and began to observe his path intently.

He ignored the complex forking paths, heading straight in a single direction.

At one point, the two women even noticed he was leading them directly into a wall. The pain they’d imagined didn’t come. What appeared to be a wall was actually the true path.

Before long, the surrounding poisonous miasma dissipated, and the complex maze vanished, replaced by an unimaginably vast underground chasm.

Looking down, a darkness akin to nothingness appeared, as if it led straight to the netherworld of Hell.

The rift was filled with demonic energy, demonic energy, the aura of death—a host of other strange auras that made living beings unwell. Divine consciousness could only penetrate a few dozen meters and then stop.

From time to time, strange gusts of wind blew through the rift, mixed with chilling sounds, like the mutterings of void demons and undead spirits.

Hearing these strange sounds, Isabella shuddered and instinctively leaned towards Zaun, grasping his arm.

Zaun surveyed the entire rift. It was vast, but due to the isolation of his divine consciousness, he could only see with his eyes. Unfortunately, he couldn’t see the other side at all.

He could only see eight chains extending from this side into the distant void, as if forming a bridge connecting the two sides.

The chains’ material was unrecognizable, but it was clear they were extremely precious. They were inlaid with dense, ancient runes, seemingly alive, slowly floating across the chains, alternating between light and darkness like breathing. A sense of desolation, simplicity, and heaviness washed over them.

“Are you sure your father is imprisoned here?” Zuan couldn’t help but glance at Fireworks. For some reason, just looking at the chasm and the chains filled him with a palpitation.

“I’ve searched many places over the years, and the other side is the only place I haven’t found. That witch would likely have chosen to imprison them there.” Fireworks’ face was filled with worry; she, too, saw the danger of this place.
