Keyboard Immortal - Chapter 2729
1242: The Strange Dragon
The ship’s crew, many skilled warriors, quickly discerned the shadow: a massive iceberg floating on the sea.
Unlike the pristine white of other icebergs, this one had a grayish, gloomy hue.
“Beware of an iceberg ahead!” a crew member shouted.
“Smash it,” Yani said solemnly, gazing at the iceberg. Given the ship’s power, a normal iceberg would have simply crashed through it, offering no resistance.
But she sensed something was amiss with this iceberg, and decided to take a precautionary measure.
The crew quickly maneuvered their weapons, firing beams of light directly at the iceberg.
The white-haired butler quickly shielded Isabella behind him, while the other guests, no less eager, gathered around her, shouting, “Don’t be afraid, young lady! I’ll protect you!”
Zaun watched as the destructive beams quickly struck the iceberg.
Boom!
A third of the iceberg’s top was quickly shattered, and cracks began to appear across the rest of the iceberg, as if it were about to shatter.
Everyone on board, however, wore a solemn expression. A normal iceberg wouldn’t have been able to withstand the force of this beam. Even with so many simultaneous attacks, only a small portion had been destroyed. Clearly, the iceberg wasn’t normal.
The previously calm ocean ahead suddenly began to roil, as if the entire sea had boiled. Huge waves surged, and the ship’s stable formations began to falter, sending those on the deck reeling.
“Miss, be careful!”
“Guests, hold onto the handrails!”
“Prepare for battle!”
Voices
echoed one after another. Just then, the sea surface ahead gradually parted, and a massive dragon rose from the ocean.
Everyone finally understood what the iceberg had been: a growth on its head. Perhaps because it was an ice dragon, a thick layer of ice had formed around it.
Now that the iceberg had been shattered, it had clearly angered it.
Upon seeing the enormous dragon, Zuan’s face darkened. He had encountered dragons countless times, but those so-called giants seemed like small snakes before this one. The overwhelming power was incomparable.
Furthermore, the dragon’s color was unlike anything he had ever seen before: a rather unpleasant grayish-white.
Dragons were not a rare sight in the myriad realms; the powerful in many worlds even considered them a delicacy.
Therefore, the guests on the ship showed no fear of the dragon. One of them flew out, roaring with laughter, “Miss Isabella, please watch me slay this beast that has disturbed your journey.”
Almost simultaneously, two other guests took off, each expressing their bravery to Isabella.
Zuan was stunned. He had never imagined such servile behavior existed in any world.
But were these creatures completely insane? They were so unfazed by such a powerful dragon?
Could it be that the guests from the myriad realms had truly become so powerful?
The man who had taken flight the fastest, fearing someone else might steal his thunder, shouted, “That beast’s life is mine!”
As he spoke, a spear appeared in his hand. He and his spear merged into one, spinning rapidly, quickly forming a massive tornado that hurtled straight towards the gray-white dragon.
Wherever it passed, deep trenches tens of meters long were ripped open in the sea. Any fish or monsters on either side of the tornado that approached were blasted into a bloody mist.
Zuan saw that it wasn’t a tornado; every wisp of wind was a spear shadow. This man’s spearmanship was truly astonishing.
The man with the spear, watching the gray-white dragon so close, was filled with amusement. This fool hadn’t reacted in such a long time, and now he dared to take his ultimate attack head-on—he was simply courting death!
Thinking of himself instantly slaying the dragon with such heroic skill before Isabella, perhaps even winning her heart and ascending to the pinnacle of life…
Suddenly, his pupils constricted, and he exclaimed, “No, this is…”
But his words were cut short as the gray-white dragon opened its jaws and swallowed him, tornado and all, in one gulp.
“Burp!”
Then the dragon burped, a gesture of respect for his all-out attack.
Zaun: “???”
One moment you were so boastful, and the next, you were devoured?
A cold sweat trickled down his spine. Even if he had faced the gunman himself, he would have had to rely on his incredible skills to have a chance of defeating him, yet he couldn’t even withstand a single blow from the dragon. Was the gap so great?
Especially since the razor-sharp golden energy condensed from his spearmanship couldn’t even pierce the dragon’s hide?
At that moment, a burst of laughter echoed from the sky. “You incompetent fellow, dare you embarrass yourself before Miss Isabella? Watch me!”
He muttered, and suddenly his entire body began to grow in the wind, transforming into a gigantic Dharma image that stretched between heaven and earth. Compared to him, the dragon seemed rather petite and delicate.
“Earthworms like this are perfect for skinning and extracting tendons. Miss Isabella, I will make you a belt from the tendons of this dragon.”
As he spoke, the enormous Dharma image grabbed the dragon’s neck and waist.
In his eyes, the dragon was just a larger snake, with all the same shortcomings.
Despite his size, his movements were exceptionally nimble, and he grasped the dragon in an instant.
He was about to twist the dragon’s head off when a hint of amusement flashed in the dragon’s eyes, and the enormous Dharma image suddenly exclaimed, “How… How is this possible…”
The grayish-white color of the dragon’s body spread to his hand, and the enormous Dharma image quickly collapsed like a popped balloon.
Finally, the terrifying gray-white color spread directly to the guest.
He was so arrogant just a second ago, but he fell directly to the sea like a lump of ice and broke into countless pieces.
Everyone on the boat: “…”
Another man in the sky who was dressed like a western cowboy snorted coldly: “Two brave but foolish guys actually want to fight with the ice dragon in close combat.”
Zuan frowned. The gray-white air just now was not ice, but something he was somewhat familiar with.
Deathly aura!
It was a pity that there was no time to remind him, and the man in the sky had already made a move.
He took out a pistol from his waist, and the barrel of the pistol suddenly protruded out. This section of the barrel seemed to be assembled continuously by Transformers, and in the blink of an eye it had turned into a huge cannon barrel.
“Take my electric cannon!”
The man laughed heartily, already pulling the trigger.
A ball of blue light, unmistakably a bullet or a cannonball, shot out, striking the dragon’s forehead almost instantly.
Bang!
The dragon’s head exploded, sending countless fragments of flesh scattering everywhere. The entire dragon plummeted into the sea, sending a shower of water.
The cowboy in the sky lowered his altitude, letting the surging waves serve as his backdrop. He bowed ostentatiously toward the ship, “Dear Miss Isabella, all this is a gift to you. Are you satisfied?”
However, his self-proclaimed impressive gesture met with no response. He looked up, puzzled, to find everyone on board staring back in horror.
