Keyboard Immortal - Chapter 2726
1239: Rescue
Zuan rose and headed for the beach. “Yanhua, where are you?”
His cry, brimming with soul, should have been heard dozens of miles away, not just from the beach itself.
Sadly, there was still no response.
Finally unable to sit still, he too plunged into the sea, casting his divine sense all around him, attempting to locate the other person.
His expression quickly changed as he sensed a massive dark figure several miles away.
It was clearly not a hotel guest, and such a massive creature shouldn’t have been near the hotel’s beach.
He hurriedly flew in that direction when a massive explosion erupted.
Waves rose tens of meters high in the sea, and cries of surprise echoed from the beachside, evidently from other guests.
Zuan’s heart trembled; he sensed it was Yanhua’s firecracker.
She was clearly in danger!
Without even considering where she’d hidden the firecracker in her swimsuit, Zuan quickly flew over.
Yanhua’s figure suddenly emerged from the waves, desperately swimming towards shore, but a massive dark figure flashed across the surface behind her, quickly dragging her back.
Zuan’s expression changed, and he swung his sword at the shadow. Wherever the sword energy passed, the sea surface split open.
Now everyone could finally see what the shadow was: a sea monster as massive as a small mountain. The terrifying, oppressive feeling sent the beachgoers screaming and running towards the hotel.
While there were few weaklings here, no one wanted to fight such a giant in the ocean.
Many looked at Zuan curiously. This creature didn’t seem to possess much energy, so how could a single strike of his sword carry such immense power, as if it could cleave the ocean in two?
Puff!
Zuan’s sword energy struck the sea monster, sending blood cascading down like a waterfall.
However, the monster was so massive that the wound, which would normally be fatal to a human, proved insignificant. It twisted its body and swam directly into the deep sea, its speed incommensurate with its size.
Zuan activated the power of the Seagod’s Crown, and wherever the sea monster passed, the water automatically split open.
Boom!
Without the support of the water, the sea monster crashed to the bottom.
Blood oozed from its mouth, nose, and body.
If it weren’t for the proximity to the coast and the shallow depths of the seabed, this blow would have been enough to kill the sea monster.
Zuan had just teleported over, about to grab Fireworks’ hand, when a strange glow suddenly emanated from the sea monster, and the next second, it and Fireworks vanished.
Zuan: “!!!!”
This seemed like a teleportation technique. Perhaps the sea monster had set up a safe teleportation point somewhere in the deep sea, allowing it to teleport back in case of life-threatening danger.
He hurriedly chased after it, but after searching for tens of thousands of miles, he found no trace of it.
He knew finding a needle in a haystack was a long shot, but he couldn’t stand by and do nothing while his companions were in danger.
He quickly activated the power of the Seagod’s Crown to communicate with the creatures in the surrounding waters and quickly found his way.
He continued on for dozens more miles, only to find violent lightning everywhere, even in the ocean itself. It seemed as if some special formation was operating in this area.
He had no choice but to return to the hotel. His only consolation was that the sea monster seemed intent on catching the fireworks and had no intention of harming her; otherwise, a casual bite would have likely taken her life.
Encountering a white figure along the way, Tingxue said, “I just chased you and lost track of you.”
“Thank you!” Zuan said, noting that it was understandable that the monster hadn’t found him, having just returned from the sea. “Let’s go back first.”
When they returned to the hotel, angry guests were lashing out at the staff. Their complaint was that such a dangerous creature existed on the hotel’s beach. Now, a young girl had fallen victim, and who would be next?
Guard Captain Yani was frantically maintaining order, reassuring the guests, “Rest assured, everyone. The beach near our hotel is safe. We’ve installed shark nets and defensive formations over ten miles away…”
Unfortunately, the crowd refused to accept his words, furiously demanding to know what the sea monster had done, considering everyone had seen it with their own eyes.
Yani, in a state of panic, said, “We’re still investigating what went wrong. Everyone, please be patient…”
Unfortunately, such rhetoric failed to appease the crowd.
At that moment, Zuan returned, demanding, “What lies beyond the sea? Why do I encounter violent thunderstorms when I chase them deep into the ocean? Are there mysterious formations there? Are they set up by your Dreamland?”
Yani’s expression paled, and she replied, “That has nothing to do with the Dreamland. Actually, the ocean has become more violent in recent years, and sea monsters occasionally appear offshore, but we’ve never seen one near the beach before…”
The guests grew increasingly angry, questioning their lack of regard for their safety.
Then, a gentle voice rang out, “Of course, our guests’ safety is our top priority. Rest assured, everyone. Throughout all the Dreamland conventions, there’s never been a safety incident. I’ll also explain this matter.”
Everyone looked in the direction of the voice and saw a seductive woman slowly descending the stairs, her hair in natural, wavy waves swaying with every step. Her
movements weren’t deliberately coquettish, but rather natural, swaying, drawing the attention of many guests.
“Greetings, Ninth Elder!” Yani and the staff bowed.
Everyone was startled. This woman’s status was even higher than Yani’s.
“Hello everyone, I’m Theodora from the Dreamland Elders’ Council,” the alluring woman said, briefly introducing herself. “I’m aware of the guest’s recent accident on the beach, but I have a feeling there’s something fishy about it. A sea monster wouldn’t be anywhere near the beach…”
Zuan sneered, “Are my friends and I risking our lives to stage this spectacle just to wrongly accuse you?”
Many guests began to rally behind him. They were all witnesses, and this coquettish female elder was clearly trying to shirk responsibility.
“We’ll investigate this…”
Before he could finish, Zuan interrupted, “I don’t need an investigation, I need your help in saving my friend!”
He knew it would be difficult to break through that mysterious sea alone, and who knew if the sea monster had any help.
“I was just about to say this,” Theodora looked at the captain of the guards beside her, “Yani, take a team of guards and a warship with you and go to the sea with them to rescue the guest.”
Yani hesitated, “But the security here…”
“Don’t worry, I’m in charge here now,” Theodora said with a smile.
Yani breathed a sigh of relief: “With the Ninth Elder here, everything will be fine.”
Many of the guests around glanced at Theodora, wondering if this coquettish elder was even more powerful than Yani.
Yani walked up to Zuan and said, “Guest, please follow me!”
Just as Zuan was about to leave, Tingxue suddenly said, “I’ll go with you.”
At this moment, someone suddenly stood up and said, “I’ll go too.”
