Chapter 920 Disguise, Easily Escape

Leaving the Heavenly Demon

Realm, Lu Qing used spatial teleportation to head towards its edge.

Under the gloomy sky, his figure flickered like a ghost, each flash covering a distance of over 100,000 miles.

The mountains and rivers behind him rushed past, while the desolate wilderness ahead rushed towards him.

He deliberately chose secluded routes, avoiding areas with powerful auras and choosing uninhabited areas to minimize potential trouble.

Along the way, he witnessed the true face of the Heavenly Demon Realm.

This world was far more terrifying than he had imagined. Back

in his home universe, he thought he had seen his share of dangers.

But upon arriving in the Heavenly Demon Realm, he truly understood what it meant to be “a land teeming with powerful beings.”

The creatures here were all incredibly formidable; even the weakest possessed the Golden Core Realm.

The wild beasts running through the forests, the birds of prey soaring in the sky, and the fish swimming in the rivers—any one of them could reign supreme in a small world in his home universe. The Nascent

Soul Realm was also commonplace.

Lu Qing’s divine sense swept across mountains and plains, often sensing dozens, even hundreds, of auras at the Nascent Soul Realm.

Some were solitary hunters, others herds of beasts, and still others lurking in underground lairs.

In some places, the auras were exceptionally dense, likely the settlements of the Heavenly Demon Realm, teeming with life. Those at

the Dao Integration Realm were also quite common. Every tens of thousands of miles, Lu Qing could sense one or two Dao Integration Realm auras.   These auras were varied: some were as deep as an abyss, some as violent as fire, and some as cold as ice. Although most were only at the initial or minor completion stage of the Dao

Integration Realm   , their sheer number secretly alarmed him.   On several occasions, he even sensed powerful auras that made him feel oppressed.   These auras were vast and boundless, far exceeding the level of a perfected Dao Integration Realm, and were very likely beings at the Dao Transformation Realm.   Whenever this happened, Lu Qing would detour far away, never daring to approach.   This secretly horrified him, making him even more aware of the gap between his home universe and the Heavenly Demon Realm.   In the Heavenly Demon Realm, those at the Dao Integration Realm are not considered top-tier, only mid-level.   However, in his home universe, the Dao Integration Realm is at the very top.   If the world passage were truly opened, and the Heavenly Demon Realm’s army flooded into his home universe, the consequences would be unimaginable.   Even without the intervention of top experts, wild beasts alone could sweep through his home universe. With   hordes of Nascent Soul Realm cultivators and countless Dao Integration Realm cultivators, how could his home universe possibly withstand such power?   Thinking this, Lu Qing increased his spatial teleportation speed.   Time was of the essence. He had already spent five years comprehending the laws in the Heavenly Demon Realm, and the travel time would further deplete his resources.   After leaving the Heavenly Demon Realm, he didn’t know how long it would take to contact those ancient sages, find them, and persuade them to return.   Every step required time, and the remnant soul of the Profound Transformation Realm expert could only sustain itself for less than a hundred years.   Therefore, he had to hurry.   Lu Qing’s movements had also attracted the attention of some beings in the Heavenly Demon Realm.   Once, as he passed a massive black mountain, a low murmur suddenly echoed from its depths.   The murmur, like an ancient incantation, carried an eerie aura that sent a shiver down his spine.   A powerful divine sense emanated from the mountain, sweeping over him.   Lu Qing’s heart tightened, but his expression remained impassive.   He maintained the haughty demeanor of the Heavenly Demon Clan, even deliberately slowing his pace, as if surveying his territory.   The divine sense lingered on him for a moment, seemingly finding nothing amiss, before withdrawing.   Another time, as he soared over a swamp, a gigantic black shadow suddenly leaped out from below.   It was a crocodile-like beast, radiating the aura of a mid-stage Dao Integration Realm cultivator, its gaping maw snapping at him.   Lu Qing coldly snorted, his demonic energy erupting, his eight arms simultaneously outstretched, poised to attack.   Sensing his aura, the beast seemed to recognize his noble status as a member of the Heavenly Demon Clan, and quickly retreated, disappearing into the depths of the swamp.   After all, he exuded the pure aura of the Heavenly Demon Clan.   The Heavenly Demon Clan were nobles in the Heavenly Demon Realm, holding a high status, and ordinary creatures of the Heavenly Demon Realm dared not easily provoke them.   Furthermore, his spatial teleportation was incredibly fast and agile; even if those beings wanted to stop him, they wouldn’t have time.   Thus, Lu Qing proceeded without incident.   Day after day, month after month.   He traversed endless mountains, plains, swamps, and deserts. He   passed through the territories of countless Heavenly Demon Realm creatures, bypassing powerful cities.   When his magical power was depleted, he stopped to recover; when he recovered, he continued his journey.   Day after day, without rest.   Finally, after a full six months, he arrived at the edge of the Heavenly Demon Realm, seeing the boundless border of the divine kingdom.   That divine kingdom border stretched across the heavens and earth like a curtain, extending to the very edge of sight, with no visible top or bottom.   It emanated terrifying power, a power so tangible that even from a great distance, one could feel its oppressive force.   Countless fine runes flowed across the border, layer upon layer, forming an extremely tight defensive system.   Seeing the border of the divine kingdom, Lu Qing breathed a sigh of relief. For the past six months, he had been traveling relentlessly, not daring to relax for a moment, his divine sense constantly alert to any movement around him.   Each time he teleported, he first confirmed the safety ahead; each time he stopped to recover, he first set up a warning array.   Now, he had finally arrived here safely.   However, he was also deeply shocked.   This Heavenly Demon Realm was far too vast, many times larger than his home world.   Even with his spatial abilities, it would take him half a year to reach the edge.   If it were an ordinary Dao Integration Realm cultivator, they probably wouldn’t arrive even after a lifetime of flying.   And according to the jade slip left by Senior Xuanhua, the Heavenly Demon Realm was only a mid-level power in this region of the Primordial Continent, far from being considered top-tier.

This was merely a mid-level power in a certain region, yet its territory was so vast. It was unimaginable how boundless the entire Primordial Continent must be.

Lu Qing sighed inwardly, then quickly regained his composure.

He couldn’t let his guard down now.

Gazing at the border of the Divine Kingdom ahead, he began to consider how to leave.

The border of the Divine Kingdom was many times more powerful than the world membranes of his home universe, naturally possessing the ability to block spatial teleportation.

Or rather, with Lu Qing’s current spatial mastery, he couldn’t teleport out.

After all, he was only at the Lesser Completion of the Dao, and hadn’t fully mastered the Great Dao of Space.

His divine sense probed the border, trying to find a crack or loophole.

But the border was perfectly solid, without any flaws. No matter which angle he probed from, he could only feel the suffocating pressure.

Therefore, the best way now was to infiltrate a city in the Heavenly Demon Realm and leave via a teleportation array.

However, Lu Qing didn’t immediately head to a city in the Heavenly Demon Realm.

He found a secluded spot, landing in the shadow of a mountain peak, and activated his supernatural ability to gaze at the inky black border of the Heavenly Demon Realm.

In his vision, the border resembled an endless black wall, stretching across the heavens and earth.

He stared at it for a long time, trying to glean some useful information from his ability.

But the level of this border was too high; his gaze simply couldn’t penetrate it.

He observed for three whole days, but his ability didn’t produce the slightest hint.

Those familiar lines of text never appeared; his vision was blank.

Lu Qing understood that the existence level of this Heavenly Demon Realm border was too high; with his current cultivation level, his ability couldn’t detect its specific information.

This situation had occurred before, but it was the first time he had encountered it since breaking through to the Dao Integration Realm.

This made him acutely aware once again that after leaving his home universe, he was no longer the supreme being who swept across the stars, revered by all.

In his home universe, he was invincible, unmatched by anyone in the Dao Integration Realm.

But on the Primordial Continent, his strength was insignificant; there were far too many beings stronger than him.

Therefore, caution is still paramount.

Since the information regarding the borders of the Divine Kingdom cannot be deciphered, the only option is to use the teleportation array.

Lu Qing sat cross-legged on the mountain peak, contemplating his next plan.

Fortunately, his ability to transform himself completely allowed him to mimic the aura of beings from the Heavenly Demon Realm.

When he transformed into the appearance of a Heavenly Demon, even the remnant soul of a Xuanhua Grandmaster couldn’t detect the flaw.

Furthermore, his physical body was already incredibly strong, even more terrifying than Heavenly Demons of the same realm.

Unless a Heavenly Demon above the Dao Integration Realm forcibly probed his internal state, even face-to-face, they shouldn’t be able to detect his disguise.

As for those who could see through his disguise at a glance, according to the records in the Xuanhua Jade Slip, such powerful beings would be considered true experts on the Primordial Continent and wouldn’t easily appear in small cities.

As long as he avoided those large cities and chose medium to small teleportation arrays, the risk would be much lower.

“However, the Heavenly Demon Realm is so difficult to leave. I wonder how the Guixu Daoist senior dealt with it back then?”

A thought suddenly arose in Lu Qing’s mind.

Guixu Daoist has been away from his home universe for hundreds of thousands of years. He also came to the Demon Realm through this world passage back then.

But how did he leave the Demon Realm?

Did Senior Xuanhua teleport him directly outside the Demon Realm, or did he leave on his own?

Or is he still trapped in the Demon Realm?

The old Azure Dragons had always been concerned about their master, but Lu Qing didn’t have time to verify these questions now.

He could only silently remember them and inquire about them later when he had the chance.

Lu Qing stood up and observed the surrounding movements.

The distant border of the divine kingdom still exuded a terrifying pressure, while the nearby wasteland was deathly silent, without any trace of life.

After sensing the surrounding aura and confirming that no powerful beings were approaching, the lines on his face began to change.

His face shape was slightly adjusted, and his contours became more rugged.

His brow bones were raised, his cheekbones narrowed, and the curve of his mouth changed.

His overall form remained the same, but his appearance was completely different. The one

he originally used was the appearance of the deputy abbot of the Black and White Temple.

Although that guy had already perished, he had after all lived in the Heavenly Demon Realm. If he were to encounter a former “acquaintance” in the Heavenly Demon Realm, it would be troublesome.

Although the probability of such a thing was small, it was still best to avoid it.

This new face was something he had temporarily put together, without a corresponding identity or background, and without any karmic entanglement.

Even if someone investigated, they would only find a blank piece of information, which wouldn’t arouse suspicion.

After this disguise, Lu Qing made a new move.

He probed the ground with his divine sense, following the cracks in the soil and rocks downwards.

Soon, he discovered a cave deep underground, inhabited by a Nascent Soul Realm creature from the Heavenly Demon Realm.

The creature resembled a centipede, several meters long, covered in a jet-black carapace, and possessing countless pairs of thin legs.

With a thought, Lu Qing silently channeled spatial power into the ground, pulling the centipede out of the cave.

The centipede didn’t even have time to react before he grabbed it.

Its body was bound by the spatial power, unable to move, only able to emit terrified hissing sounds.

Without wasting words, Lu Qing directly probed the centipede’s sea of consciousness with his divine sense, beginning a soul search.

Although this centipede was only at the Nascent Soul Realm and lacked intelligence, its memories contained sufficient information.

Lu Qing quickly perused its memories, extracting the useful information one by one.

After a soul search, he figured out the information he wanted.

The nearest city was to the southeast.

It wasn’t large, but it had an interdimensional teleportation array that connected to other strongholds on the edge of the Demon Realm, and could even teleport directly outside the Demon Realm.

Having obtained the necessary information, Lu Qing erased the centipede’s consciousness and stored its corpse in the Fire Cauldron.

After doing this, Lu Qing soared into the sky, flying towards the city.

A day later, he arrived before the city.

It was a massive black city, its walls towering into the clouds, constructed entirely of black boulders.

The walls were covered with dense defensive runes, emitting a faint glow.

Above the city gate, two enormous black beast-head sculptures looked down, lifelike, their eyes seemingly shimmering with light.

The entire city was shrouded in incredibly dense demonic energy, which seemed almost tangible, surging and rolling above it.

Even standing outside the city, one could feel the immense oppressive force.

Lu Qing observed the city from outside for a while.

Guards stood watch at the city gate, soldiers of the Heavenly Demon Clan, clad in uniform black armor, spears in hand, their sharp gazes sweeping over the crowds entering and leaving.

The creatures entering and leaving the city were diverse, some resembling humans, some beasts, and some whose forms were indistinguishable.

But regardless of who they were, they all treated the guards with utmost respect, daring not to utter the slightest disrespect.

Lu Qing made a plan.

He concealed part of his aura, making himself appear as an ordinary Heavenly Demon, exuding the aura of a Dao Integration Realm cultivator, with an arrogant posture and an overbearing air.

Then, he flew towards the city.

Because his demonic energy was pure, he encountered no hindrance upon entering.

The gatekeepers glanced at him, sensing his Heavenly Demon aura, and bowed slightly, making way.

Even some creatures from the Heavenly Demon Realm bowed respectfully upon seeing him.

Those lower beings bent over, heads bowed, appearing utterly terrified.

Lu Qing secretly marveled at the Heavenly Demon Clan’s indeed exalted status in the Heavenly Demon Realm.

Sensing this, Lu Qing immediately became impolite.

He deliberately adopted an arrogant posture, casually grabbing a Nascent Soul Realm creature with a dog’s head and coldly asking it where the teleportation array was.

The dog-headed creature, feeling the terrifying pressure emanating from Lu Qing’s body, trembled violently, its mouth opening and closing several times before it could utter a sound.

It dared not conceal anything and immediately answered, stammering that it could lead the master to the teleportation array.

“Lead the way,” Lu Qing said calmly.

The dog-headed creature hurriedly trotted ahead to lead the way, with Lu Qing following unhurriedly.

Along the way, other creatures from the Heavenly Demon Realm gave way, not daring to block the path.

Thus, led by the dog-headed creature, Lu Qing arrived at the interdimensional teleportation array in the city.

The teleportation array was located in the center of the city, a huge platform, hundreds of feet in diameter.

The platform was covered with complex runes, layer upon layer, densely packed, emitting a faint glow.

Twelve black stone pillars stood around the platform, each inlaid with fist-sized black crystals that slowly emitted energy.

Two guards stood beside the teleportation array, tall and clad in more refined armor, their auras far stronger than the soldiers at the city gate.

Their eyes flickered slightly as they saw Lu Qing approach.

“Does Your Excellency wish to use the teleportation array?” one of the guards stepped forward and asked respectfully.

Lu Qing nodded without further explanation.

The guard continued, “Using the interdimensional teleportation array requires a payment of ten magic crystals or immortal crystals. Otherwise, even a high-ranking member of the Heavenly Demon Clan cannot enter or leave at will.”

Ten magic crystals or immortal crystals.

Lu Qing’s heart skipped a beat.

He was new to this place; he had no idea what magic crystals or immortal crystals were, and he didn’t even know what they were.

In the centipede’s memories, he only knew that magic crystals were the common currency of the Heavenly Demon Realm, but he had never seen them in person.

However, this didn’t stump Lu Qing.

He frowned, feigning displeasure, and said indifferently, “I just came out of seclusion, and my magic crystals are all used up. Can I use other treasures to offset the debt?”

The guard thought for a moment and nodded, “Sure, anything is fine as long as the value is equivalent.”

After all, the other party was a Heavenly Demon Clan member, and as long as they followed the rules, he didn’t want to offend them too much.

The Heavenly Demon Clan’s status was what it was; offending them would make things difficult in the army later.

Lu Qing made up his mind and casually waved his hand.

A huge corpse flew out of the Fire Cauldron and landed heavily on the open ground in front of the teleportation array.

The corpse was pitch black, covered with thick scales, and exuded a terrifying pressure.

Although it had been dead for a long time, the residual aura was still chilling .

It was one of the two Dao Integration Realm beasts he had killed after his seclusion.

The powerful pressure emanating from it immediately caused the pupils of the two guards to shrink.

They carefully examined the corpse, their eyes showing shock.

A Dao Integration Realm beast! “A corpse of this caliber is worth at least several hundred magic crystals!”

Lu Qing said indifferently, his tone tinged with impatience. “Can we use this beast as payment for the teleportation?”

The two guards exchanged a glance and nodded hastily.

“Yes! Yes!” one of the guards said quickly. “And it’s far more than that, we’ll give you the change right away…”

“No need.” Lu Qing waved his hand, interrupting him. “The excess is yours. I’m in a hurry, so please prepare the teleportation for me now.”

Hearing this, the two guards were overjoyed. The corpse of a beast at the Dao Integration Realm was no small sum.

They had guarded this place for so many years and had never seen such a generous guest.

This was practically a huge reward for nothing.

They were even more in awe of Lu Qing.

As expected of a lord of the Heavenly Demon Clan, he was indeed generous.

“Thank you, sir! Thank you, sir!” the two guards thanked him repeatedly, their attitude even more respectful than before.

They immediately ushered Lu Qing into the teleportation array, then quickly walked to the control panel and began adjusting the coordinates.

Fragments of magic crystals were embedded into the array base, and runes lit up one after another, radiating brilliant light.

A moment later, the teleportation array was fully activated.

“My lord, the teleportation array is ready; we can depart at any time,” the guards said respectfully.

Lu Qing nodded and strode into the center of the teleportation array. He stood on the platform, feeling the surging spatial power around him.

“Destination: outside the Heavenly Demon Realm,” he said calmly.

The guards quickly responded and activated the teleportation array.

With a flash of light, Lu Qing’s figure blurred within the teleportation array, fading further and further until it disappeared completely.

The Heavenly Demon Realm, however, had no idea what kind of terrifying enemy had slipped through their fingers. (End of Chapter)
