Chapter 915 Reunion

In the starry sky, a spatial vortex suddenly appeared.

The vortex silently split open in the void, and from its depths, a figure flew out, hovering steadily in the starry sky.

It was Lu Qing.

His blue robes fluttered in the starry sky, yet remained untouched by the spatial turbulence.

The stone tablet floating before him spun once and landed back in his hand.

Then, with a gentle wave of his hand, a beam of light flew out from the Li Huo Cauldron, and Xiao Yan and Xiao Li appeared beside him.

“Brother, what exactly is the origin of that senior?” Xiao Yan asked curiously as soon as she appeared.

Having spent several days in the secret realm, she had heard many tales of ancient times, but she still couldn’t discern the true identity of that mysterious being.

He was like a lonely old man guarding the secret realm, knowing many secrets, yet trapped in that space, unable to leave.

Lu Qing sighed softly, “Perhaps… a guardian.”

In truth, he already knew the origin of the mysterious being.

Back then, as merely a Nascent Soul cultivator, he saw that senior through a fog, everything was blurry, only sensing an unfathomable power hidden within that gray shadow.

But after reaching the Dao Integration Realm and returning to the secret realm, he discerned some clues.

If he wasn’t mistaken, that senior should be the spirit of the Trial Witch Tower within the secret realm.

The Trial Witch Tower, towering at the very center of the secret realm, was a supreme treasure of the Witch Clan, of extremely high grade, reaching the level of a Dao artifact.

It supported the entire secret realm space, serving as its foundation and core.

And that senior was the spirit of this Dao artifact.

That’s why he could control the entire secret realm with ease, know many of the Witch Clan’s secrets, and survive for billions of years without decaying.

However, since that senior himself didn’t say so, Lu Qing didn’t reveal his identity. Some things are better left unsaid.

Thinking of this, Lu Qing suddenly placed the stone tablet in Xiao Yan’s hand.

Xiao Yan was startled, looking down at the stone tablet in her palm.

“Xiaoyan, refine this stone tablet,” Lu Qing said.

“Refine it? Brother, why?” Xiaoyan looked up, her eyes full of confusion.

Lu Qing looked at her, his expression serious: “If I can’t return within a hundred years after I leave, and the Heavenly Demon Realm truly invades this world, use this stone tablet to bring everyone to the secret realm we just visited, to temporarily hide there.”

The Witch Clan’s trial secret realm is located in the deepest part of the void, and its location is constantly changing, making it extremely difficult to find.

Even a Dao Transformation Realm expert, without coordinates, cannot pinpoint its location.

With that senior there, they can be protected.

If he ultimately fails to find support within a hundred years, Xiaoyan and her master going in will at least provide some refuge for a while; it’s the last escape route he left for them.

Xiaoyan remained silent for a moment, looking down at the stone tablet in her hand.

Her fingers tightened slightly, gripping the tablet tightly in her palm.

She knew her brother was arranging a backup plan.

This trip to the other world was fraught with danger, and even he himself wasn’t entirely confident.

She took a deep breath, raised her head, and her eyes were resolute.

“Yes, brother.”

She didn’t refuse, nor did she say anything like “you must come back.” She knew this wasn’t the time to throw a tantrum.

She couldn’t let her brother worry about her constantly in that dangerous situation in the other world.

Xiao Yan held the stone tablet in her hand, activated her magic power, and began to refine it.

Before long, the stone tablet emitted a soft sound, establishing a mental connection with her.

She put the stone tablet away and nodded to Lu Qing.

Seeing that Xiao Yan had refined the stone tablet, Lu Qing finally smiled.

He turned his head and looked at Xiao Li.

He had completed most of what he needed to do.

Now, only one last thing remained.

“Xiao Li, give me a drop of your blood.”

Xiao Li was standing quietly at Lu Qing’s feet. Hearing this, it raised its head, its eyes filled with confusion.

“Qing, what do you want my blood for?”

Although puzzled, it still trusted Lu Qing.

It stretched out its front paw, and a drop of crimson blood condensed at the tip.

The blood floated in the air, emitting a faint glow, with intricate patterns faintly visible flowing across its surface.

Lu Qing took the drop of blood, and with a flick of his wrist, conjured a miniature illusionary space.

This illusionary space was only the size of a palm, yet it contained a vast universe within.

Stars flowed, the sun and moon rose and fell, and countless points of light flickered within.

He cast the drop of blood into the illusionary space, and the blood instantly transformed into a beam of red light, disappearing into the depths of the starry river.

“I want to try and see if I can help you find your family.”

Xiao Li was startled by Lu Qing’s words, then its heart suddenly raced.

It had never sensed the presence of family.

Its earliest memory was waking up in the vast mountains behind Jiuli Village.

At that time, it was very young, understanding nothing, only knowing how to run and hunt in the forest.

Later, it met A Qing and Xiao Yan, and began living with them.

Its memories of its family were a blank.

Even its origins were only learned later from the dragon turtle elder in its home world.

Senior Dragon Turtle said it should be a descendant of the Dark Spirit Fox clan from the previous era of cultivation.

But the previous era of cultivation was over 30,000 years ago.

The Dark Spirit Fox clan had long since vanished, and it was unknown whether any members still existed.

Therefore, over the years, Xiao Li had been mentally prepared that its relatives might have long since disappeared into the river of history.

But now, A Qing said she would help it find its relatives?

It stared intently at the illusory space, almost afraid to breathe.

Within the illusory space, countless scenes flashed by rapidly, like a fleeting glimpse.

Mountains and rivers, cities and sects, birds and beasts, cultivators and mortals—scenes swept across its vision like flowing water, so fast it was dazzling.

Finally, the scenes gradually slowed down, eventually settling on a particular world.

It was a medium-sized world, suspended in a corner of the starry sky.

Its surface was covered in vast expanses of green and blue, with mountains, water, clouds, and mist, appearing vibrant with life.

“Ah Qing, what does this mean?” Xiao Li asked hurriedly, her voice tinged with urgency.

Lu Qing looked at the world, a smile spreading across his face.

“The calculations show that there is a being in this world connected to you by blood.”

“A being connected to me by blood…”

Xiao Li stared blankly at the world, her expression dazed.

In her eyes were expectation, trepidation, and a hint of fear.

She didn’t know what awaited her in that world.

Was it a member of her clan, or a distant relative with only a slight blood connection?

Seeing this, Lu Qing secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

He hadn’t done this before, fearing the final result would disappoint Xiao Li. What

if the calculations showed Xiao Li had no relatives left? How would he tell her then?

But soon after, he would be heading to another world, and before leaving, he still hoped to fulfill Xiao Li’s wish.

Now it seemed the outcome wasn’t too bad for the time being.

“Ah Qing, are you saying my parents are in this world?” Xiao Li looked up, a hint of expectation in her eyes.

Lu Qing shook his head and said softly, “I can’t guarantee that, but I’m certain your relatives are there.”

“Xiao Li, should we go over there?”

Xiao Li looked at the scene in the illusion space for a few more moments, its gaze lingering on the mountains and rivers.

It took a deep breath, trying to calm itself.

Finally, it nodded.

“I want to go see.”

No matter the outcome, it wanted to see.

Lu Qing smiled: “Then let’s go.”

He waved his hand, dispelling the illusory space, then used spatial power to lift Xiao Yan and Xiao Li, taking a step forward.

The space beneath their feet suddenly shrank, and endless stars transformed into streaks of light around them.

Not long after, when the three reappeared, what appeared before them was the medium-sized world that had been deduced from the illusory space.

That world floated quietly in the starry sky, radiating a soft light.

This world was actually located within the Great Yuan Immortal Realm, relatively close to their home world.

They had passed through it before during their travels, but had never entered.

Lu Qing didn’t hesitate, taking another step forward, leading them into that world.

The moment they passed through the world’s membrane, a refreshing spiritual energy rushed towards them.

The spiritual energy concentration of this medium-sized world was much higher than that of their home world, but still far inferior to a great world like the Tianyuan Great World.

However, none of this mattered.

Upon entering that world, Xiao Li felt a slight tremor in her heart.

The tremor was faint, yet very clear.

Like an invisible thread, it extended from the depths of its heart, connecting to a distant place.

It could sense that in this world, there were indeed beings related to its bloodline.

Could it be its parents?

Little Li’s heart couldn’t help but tremble with unease.

“Little Li, which way do we go now?” Lu Qing stopped using his divination technique and asked instead.

Little Li took a deep breath, slowly calming its emotions. It closed its eyes, carefully sensing the direction of that bloodline pulsation.

After a moment, it opened its eyes, raised its front paw, and pointed in one direction.

“Over there.”

“Then let’s go. You lead the way.”

“Okay.”

Little Li transformed into a streak of light and flew eastward.

Lu Qing and Xiao Yan followed behind, neither of them speaking, simply following Little Li quietly.

Although it wasn’t a spatial teleportation technique, the speed of a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator’s escape was still extraordinary.

Before long, Little Li stopped above a vast, desolate mountain forest.

The forest stretched endlessly, as far as the eye could see.

The mountains rise and fall, layer upon layer, ancient trees reach for the sky, vines entwine, and waterfalls and streams can be faintly seen cascading down from the mountains, creating a thunderous roar.

Birdsong and animal roars fill the forest, and the spiritual energy is quite rich, making it an excellent place for cultivation.

Xiao Li hovered in the air, gazing at the vast, endless forest below, and said softly, “Ah Qing, I can sense that beings connected to my bloodline are not far ahead, and there are quite a few of them. Among them, two have the strongest bloodline fluctuations.”

It paused, then added, “However, only I can sense their bloodline fluctuations; they can’t sense mine.”

Xiao Li had cultivated the [True Dragon Nine Transformations] to a very high level, and coupled with the guidance it received from that mysterious being of the Witch Clan, it could perfectly shield its bloodline aura.

Unless it wanted to, no one else could sense its bloodline fluctuations.

“Shall we go directly there?” Lu Qing asked.

Xiao Li thought for a moment and said, “Ah Qing, I want to check the situation first before deciding, is that alright?”

“Of course.”

Lu Qing waved his hand, and a surge of spatial power appeared, instantly concealing the three of them in the void.

From the outside, there was nothing there, not even a trace of spiritual energy fluctuation.

“Let’s go, no one can detect us now.”

With Lu Qing’s current spatial mastery, as long as he wanted to hide his tracks, even a Dao Integration Realm expert wouldn’t be able to detect him, let alone the strong individuals within this medium-sized world.

Following the throbbing in her bloodline, Xiao Li flew down into the mountains.

Passing through layers of clouds and over mountain peaks, they finally landed on one of the massive peaks.

That peak was the highest in this mountain range, steep and sheer.

Lu Qing stood on the summit, scanning his surroundings.

A quick glance revealed many dark spirit foxes leaping and playing among the trees.

They were small, with dark black fur, appearing and disappearing in the shadows of the trees.

These dark spirit foxes weren’t particularly powerful, mostly at the Qi Refining or Foundation Establishment stages.

A few, reaching the Golden Core stage, were all within the mountain’s interior, likely cultivating in caves.

At the very center of the mountain, in the largest cave, several auras of those at the Nascent Soul stage faintly emanated.

The two bloodline fluctuations that made Xiao Li most uneasy were located within that cave.

Even the other two auras resonated with its own bloodline.

Watching the dark spirit foxes running and leaping in the mountain, feeling the connection between their bloodlines and its own, Xiao Li finally became certain that they were indeed its kin.

Without further hesitation, it released its bloodline fluctuations.

Lu Qing tacitly withdrew the spatial power enveloping them.

Xiao Li’s bloodline fluctuations spread outwards like ripples on water.

The fluctuations weren’t intense, but they carried an indescribable affinity, causing all the dark spirit foxes to pause in surprise.

The playful little spirit foxes stopped, looking around blankly.

The spirit foxes who were cultivating also emerged from their caves, their faces filled with confusion.

Then, quickly, the central cave opened with a roar, and several figures flew out, instantly reaching the sky above the mountain peak.

They were a middle-aged couple, a young man, and a young woman.

The middle-aged man was burly, with a square face, a short beard, and wore a black brocade robe, exuding a composed aura.

The middle-aged woman was slender, with a gentle face and delicate features.

Her eyes were already red-rimmed, and she anxiously searched her surroundings.

The young man was handsome, somewhat resembling the middle-aged man, his eyes filled with curiosity and wariness.

A young woman stood beside them, equally surprised.

Upon seeing Lu Qing and Xiao Yan, the group was initially taken aback.

They had assumed the newcomers would be from their own kind, but instead, two unfamiliar humans appeared before them.

However, their gazes quickly focused on Xiao Li, who was perched on Lu Qing’s shoulder.

They sensed an incredibly strong bloodline fluctuation emanating from the dark spirit fox.

It was a fluctuation only the closest blood relatives could emit,

causing their hearts to tremble slightly.

Looking at Xiao Li, the middle-aged couple were incredibly excited.

The middle-aged woman, in particular, trembled, her voice trembling with disbelief, “You…you are Nannan?”

She reached out her hand, yet hesitated to approach, fearing it was just an illusion.

Xiao Li trembled, and similarly asked, “Are you…my parents?”

Hearing this, the middle-aged woman could no longer hold back, tears streaming down her face.

Tears welled in her eyes, slid down her cheeks, and dripped to the ground.

She choked back sobs, nodding repeatedly, “Yes…I am your mother, and this is your father.”

She pulled the middle-aged man beside her. The middle-aged man’s eyes were also red, and he forced back his tears, nodding to Xiao Li.

Xiao Li stared blankly at them, a complex mix of emotions welling up within her.

At this moment, Lu Qing had already used his abilities to ascertain the information about the people before him.

He whispered in Xiao Li’s ear, “Go, Xiao Li, they really are your parents.”

Hearing Lu Qing’s words, Xiao Li had no more doubts.

It leaped lightly into the woman’s arms.

Mo Yue quickly reached out and hugged Xiao Li tightly, sobbing uncontrollably.

“My little one… Mother has finally found you… finally found you…”

Xiao Li nestled in her arms, feeling the warmth of the embrace, its eyes also moist.

Mo Yuan stepped forward, reaching out to gently stroke Xiao Li’s head, his large hand trembling slightly, filled with endless apology and heartache.

“Child, these years… you’ve suffered so much.”

Xiao Li shook its head, remaining silent.

Mo Feng and Mo Yu also gathered around, each on one side, gently stroking Xiao Li.

The family of five embraced tightly.

Lu Qing, with Xiao Yan in tow, quietly stepped aside, leaving them alone. (End of Chapter)
