I Can See Through Everything - Chapter 882
Chapter 880 Return to the Ruins, the Old Azure Dragon’s Shock
The vast starry sky was boundless.
Lu Qing’s divine sense avatar silently floated in the void, gazing at the dazzling galaxy before him.
It was a massive band of light stretching across the starry sky, composed of countless stars, slowly rotating and emitting a hazy glow.
Within the band of light, the trajectories of the stars were incredibly profound. Each star seemed to be guided by an invisible hand, moving along a specific orbit, vaguely forming an unimaginably vast array.
It was the Star River Array personally laid out by the Guixu Daoist.
A supreme array used to protect the Guixu Secret Realm.
This array was created by the Guixu Daoist with the utmost effort throughout his life. It was based on 365 main stars, supplemented by 129,600 auxiliary stars, subtly corresponding to the number of stars in the celestial sphere.
Once the array was activated, it could draw upon the power of the celestial sphere, forming an indestructible barrier.
With this protective array, even a Dao Transformation Immortal would find it difficult to break through and enter the Guixu Secret Realm.
Lu Qing gazed at the grand array, a sense of melancholy
washing over him. In truth, he hadn’t been away from the Guixu Secret Realm for very long, less than a century at most.
For cultivators, this was but a fleeting moment, not even enough for a long period of seclusion.
Those ancient monsters who had lived for tens of thousands of years could easily spend more than this in a single nap.
Yet, standing here now, he felt a profound sense of vicissitude.
In these less than a century, he had experienced so much.
From the Tianyuan Great World to the Chaotic Star Sea, from the sixth tribulation of the Nascent Soul Realm to the Dao Integration Realm, from being hunted by the Black and White Sect to slaying six Dao Integration Realm old demons, from exploring the Dark Abyss to witnessing the corpse of a Xuanhua Great Power…
these few decades of experience were more exciting than the previous hundreds of years combined.
“I wonder what expressions the old Azure Dragon seniors will have when they see me,”
Lu Qing chuckled, a mischievous smile playing on his lips.
When he left the Guixu Secret Realm, he was only at the sixth tribulation of the Nascent Soul Realm.
Although the old Azure Dragon and the others had high hopes for him, they probably hadn’t expected his cultivation speed to be so fast.
In just a few decades, he had already stepped into the Dao Integration Realm.
After all, even he himself hadn’t anticipated this speed of cultivation.
The old Azure Dragon and the others must have been even more astonished.
Lu Qing withdrew his thoughts and looked at the Star River Array in front of him again.
When he first came here, his cultivation was still shallow. Although his knowledge of arrays was considerable, he still felt completely lost looking at this array. He only knew that it was extremely mysterious, but he couldn’t see through its intricacies at all.
Back then, facing this array, he was like a mortal standing at the foot of a mountain looking up at a towering peak. He only felt its magnificence and grandeur, but he couldn’t understand its true mysteries.
Now that he had achieved the Dao Integration Realm, his vision and knowledge were incomparable.
Looking at this array again, he could see some of its mysteries.
The trajectory of the stars was not random, but secretly conformed to the laws of the Heavenly Dao.
The position of each star, the flicker of each ray of light, resonates with a certain rule of heaven and earth.
The 365 primary stars correspond to the 365 degrees of the celestial sphere.
The 129,600 secondary stars correspond to the numbers of heaven and earth.
They intertwine and echo each other, forming a complete and rigorous system.
The pattern of the light’s flickering is not a simple change of brightness.
Each flicker represents a breath, an exhalation, of the formation.
It absorbs the spiritual energy of the starry sky and the energy of the endless void, maintaining its own operation.
The brightest points of light are often the key nodes of the formation, the centers where power converges.
The technique of spatial folding is exquisitely ingenious.
Guixu Daoist folded and compressed countless layers of space, embedding them into the formation, making this great formation appear to be only a thin layer, yet actually containing infinite space.
If an outsider were to rashly intrude, they might be trapped by these folded spaces, forever lost within.
Furthermore, terrifying spatial storms lurk within, appearing from time to time.
Once touched, even a Dao Integration Realm expert would be easily devoured.
It is precisely because of the protection of this Star River Array that no one has dared to forcefully enter the Guixu Secret Realm for hundreds of thousands of years.
The more Lu Qing looked, the more impressed he
became. The Guixu Daoist’s attainments in the Dao of Arrays were truly unbelievable.
This Star River Array can be said to be the culmination of his life’s work, the pinnacle of his Dao of Arrays.
When he received the inheritance in the Guixu Secret Realm, he used his special ability to download all of the Guixu Daoist’s array inheritance.
Those inheritances, including the basics of arrays, array setting techniques, key points for breaking arrays, array evolution, etc., were vast and profound.
Although, due to his cultivation level, he only comprehended the array inheritance at the Nascent Soul level, and had not even had time to comprehend the Dao Integration Realm level,
the inherited array theory, coupled with the transformation of his realm, still allowed him to understand some of this Star River Array.
“Perhaps, I can enter this time without my identity jade token?”
A thought arose in Lu Qing’s mind.
He didn’t rush to act, but stood quietly outside the great formation, slowly comprehending it.
Although he was currently only a divine sense avatar, unable to use his special abilities, his realm and comprehension were no different from his original body.
The array inheritances he had previously comprehended surfaced in his mind one by one, corroborating with the great formation before him.
Time slowly passed.
Lu Qing stood there, motionless, as if transformed into a statue in the starry sky.
But if anyone could see his eyes, they would find countless runes flashing within them.
Those runes were densely packed, layer upon layer, constantly combining and evolving, as if conducting some extremely complex deduction.
He was using his understanding of arrays to analyze the great formation before him.
This was an extremely mentally taxing process.
If it were an ordinary cultivator, just analyzing a corner of it would be enough to exhaust them.
But Lu Qing was different. His divine sense was incredibly powerful, and he had a complete array inheritance as a foundation. Although the analysis was somewhat slow, it wasn’t too troublesome.
Not long after, a smile appeared on Lu Qing’s face.
He understood.
To be precise, he understood a part of it.
This Star River Array was far too profound, a true Dao Transformation level array. Without the aid of special abilities, even with his current array mastery, he couldn’t fully comprehend it.
But finding a path to enter was enough.
That path was hidden within the array’s gaps, a sliver of hope deliberately left by Daoist Guixu.
Anyone completely ignorant of arrays wouldn’t be able to discover its existence.
Even those who understood arrays, without Daoist Guixu’s array inheritance, wouldn’t find this path.
Only someone like him, with profound array mastery and possessing Daoist Guixu’s array inheritance, could find that path in this Star River Array.
The next moment, Lu Qing’s figure vanished from his spot.
Not through spatial teleportation, but by directly entering the Star River Array.
If it were any other cultivator, without an identity jade token, entering the array in this way would surely result in unimaginable attacks from the array, plunging the intruder into an abyss of no return.
But Lu Qing was like a ghost, completely integrated into the formation.
His figure moved with the movement of the stars, sometimes left, sometimes right, sometimes forward, sometimes backward, each step landing precisely on a node of the formation.
His aura merged with the fluctuations of the formation, sometimes strong, sometimes weak, sometimes fast, sometimes slow, perfectly synchronized with the changes in the brightness of the starlight.
He seemed to have become a part of this great formation, without eliciting any reaction from it.
This was the profoundness of the Dao of Formations.
It was not about forcibly breaking the formation, but about conforming to it, merging with it, and letting the formation regard him as one.
Lu Qing traversed the Star River Formation, passing through one restriction after another, passing through layer after layer of space, advancing towards the deepest part of the formation.
Before long, a light curtain suddenly appeared ahead.
Within the light curtain, magnificent palaces and pavilions, with a huge celestial palace standing at the very center.
It was the Guixu Secret Realm.
Looking at the light curtain, Lu Qing felt a surge of familiarity.
Years ago, he and Xiao Li had also secluded themselves here for a considerable period of time.
Now, decades had passed in an instant.
Time flies.
Without hesitation, Lu Qing stepped through the light barrier.
The next moment, he was already inside the Guixu Secret Realm.
Familiar spiritual energy rushed towards him, and the surrounding space became stagnant.
Everything was the same as when he left.
The Immortal Palace still stood in the very center of the secret realm, resplendent in gold and magnificent in its aura, as if it had never changed.
But the instant Lu Qing passed through the light barrier, a subtle spatial fluctuation arose.
This fluctuation was extremely weak, so weak that ordinary cultivators would not be able to detect it at all.
Even a Dao Integration Realm expert would only regard it as a passing breeze and would not pay it any attention.
But for an being like the Old Azure Dragon, a master of spatial manipulation, it was an obvious signal.
Inside the Immortal Palace,
the Old Azure Dragon lay in its nest, half-asleep.
Though it was said to be dozing, it wasn’t truly asleep.
At its level, sleep was no longer necessary.
Previously, it and Mingfeng had only slept because they were incredibly bored.
However, since Lu Qing entered the secret realm, they had developed an expectation and no longer wanted to remain asleep.
They didn’t want Lu Qing to suddenly return while they slept, and they wouldn’t be able to sense it immediately.
The Old Azure Dragon habitually lay there, resting with its eyes closed while using its divine sense to envelop the entire Guixu Secret Realm, sensing every movement within.
As the actual controller of the many formations within the Guixu Secret Realm, it was incredibly sensitive to any spatial fluctuations when not asleep.
This was its duty, its instinct.
After all, the Guixu Secret Realm was the last legacy left by the Guixu Daoist, a place the three of them were to protect.
No disturbance could be overlooked.
Although it didn’t believe anyone could break into the secret realm,
the old Azure Dragon abruptly opened its eyes the moment it sensed the spatial fluctuation.
Two beams of light suddenly flashed in its eyes.
It was first startled, then its mind reeled.
The Guixu Secret Realm was now closed.
After Lu Qing left, they had completely sealed it off.
Unless one possessed an identity jade token, entry was impossible.
These identity jade tokens were personally crafted by the Guixu Daoist, each one connected to the essence of the secret realm; only the holder could enter through the array.
Otherwise, even a Dao Transformation Immortal couldn’t sneak in silently.
Could it be that A Qing has returned?
This was the old Azure Dragon’s first thought.
But it quickly realized something was amiss.
If Lu Qing had returned, he would have used his identity jade token to enter through the proper channels.
In that case, it should have been able to clearly sense the fluctuations of the token, receiving a clear message telling it who had returned,
not just this faint spatial ripple.
But now, as it scanned that space with its divine sense, it felt only emptiness.
The location that had just caused the spatial fluctuations was completely empty.
There were no spiritual energy fluctuations, no life force, no trace of magical artifacts; it was as if everything just now had been its illusion.
But the old Azure Dragon knew this couldn’t be an illusion.
At its level, its perception rarely made mistakes,
especially in its most proficient area: the Dao of Space.
That fluctuation, though faint, was real; it couldn’t have appeared out of thin air.
“Old Azure Dragon, what’s wrong?”
a gruff voice rang out.
The old Azure Dragon turned its head and saw the black bull had walked over at some point, looking at it with a puzzled expression.
“Something’s wrong,” the old Azure Dragon said in a deep, solemn voice. “Someone just came in from outside.”
“What?” The black bull’s eyes widened, its face filled with disbelief. “How is that possible! Wasn’t the secret realm already closed? Without an identity jade token, who could have entered?”
The old Azure Dragon shook its head. “I don’t know either. But I did sense spatial fluctuations, in that direction.”
It raised its paw and pointed into the distance, precisely where the spatial fluctuations had originated.
Just then, a clear, melodious cry rang out, crisp and pleasant, echoing through the sky.
Immediately afterward, a giant phoenix, its entire body made of ice crystals, took flight. Its phoenix eyes were bright and piercing, exuding an air of noble majesty.
It was the Crying Phoenix.
It landed before them, folded its wings, and looked at the old Azure Dragon.
“I sensed it too.” Mingfeng’s voice was clear and melodious, yet tinged with a hint of solemnity. “Although the fluctuation was weak, someone definitely passed through the Star River Array. Moreover, this person’s array skills are extremely high; they didn’t even trigger any reaction from the array.”
The old Azure Dragon nodded, a trace of apprehension flashing in its eyes.
Someone who could pass through the Star River Array silently either possessed an identity jade token or had array skills high enough to evade the array’s detection.
If it was the former, that was fine; if it was the latter, that was terrifying.
“Could it be A Qing?” the black bull asked again, its tone filled with anticipation.
The old Azure Dragon pondered, “I’ve considered that possibility, but if he returned, why wouldn’t he use an identity jade token?
Besides, I scanned that location with my divine sense and found nothing.
Even if it were him, it couldn’t possibly completely evade my senses, could it?”
Mingfeng said, “The location of that fluctuation isn’t far from here. Let’s go and see. Guessing here won’t lead to anything.”
The old Azure Dragon nodded without hesitation.
It stood up and used its spatial abilities.
A beam of light surged from its body, enveloping the black bull and the phoenix.
The next moment, the three vanished from the celestial palace.
When they reappeared, they were at the location of the spatial fluctuations.
This was outside the White Jade Plaza, the surrounding protective lights still flickering slightly.
Everything seemed normal.
But the old azure dragon’s gaze instantly locked onto a figure ahead.
It was a young man, dressed in a blue robe, standing with his hands behind his back.
He stood there quietly, as if he had been waiting for a long time.
Sunlight fell on him, casting a long shadow. His
face was handsome, his brows and eyes carrying a hint of indifference, the corners of his mouth slightly upturned, as if he were smiling.
When the old azure dragon saw the figure’s face clearly, its entire body froze.
Its enormous dragon eyes widened, pupils contracting violently, as if it had seen something unbelievable.
“Ah Qing?!”
The black bull and the phoenix also saw the figure, equally shocked and speechless.
That young man was none other than Lu Qing!
Although his clothing had changed slightly, and his demeanor was more composed, his face, his expression, and the calmness in his eyes were exactly the same as Lu Qing in their memories.
His eyes were still clear and bright, only now they held a deeper depth, as if he had undergone some kind of baptism.
“Ah Qing, it really is you!” the black bull exclaimed in surprise, its massive head bobbing repeatedly, its eyes filled with joy. “How did you get in? Old Azure Dragon said that without an identity jade token, you couldn’t get in at all!”
Lu Qing smiled slightly and cupped his hands in greeting: “Senior Old Azure Dragon, Senior Mingfeng, Senior Bull, it’s been a long time.”
His gaze swept over the three of them, carrying a hint of emotion.
So many years had passed, yet Old Azure Dragon and the others remained unchanged. They
still had that familiar appearance, that familiar aura.
Old Azure Dragon was still that lazy demeanor, the black bull was still that impulsive nature, and Mingfeng was still that noble and elegant posture.
Everything seemed as if it were just yesterday.
Old Azure Dragon, however, did not respond to his greeting.
Its enormous dragon eyes stared intently at Lu Qing, pupils slightly contracting, filled with disbelief.
It sensed Lu Qing’s aura.
That aura…
no!
That aura was completely different from when it left!
Back then, Lu Qing, though possessing limitless potential, was ultimately only at the sixth stage of the Nascent Soul realm.
In its eyes, at the Dao Integration realm, that aura, though pure, wasn’t particularly powerful.
Like a stream, clear, but still just a stream.
But now, the aura emanating from Lu Qing made it feel a pang of fear.
It was an indescribable sense of oppression.
Not a deliberate release, not an intentional intimidation, but a natural outpouring.
It was as if he stood there, merging with the surrounding heaven and earth, every gesture subtly harmonizing with some profound Daoist principle.
That aura was like a vast ocean, unfathomable, like a towering mountain, inspiring awe.
This feeling it had only experienced with cultivators of the same realm.
No, even stronger than that.
The old dragon opened his mouth, his voice trembling slightly:
“Ah Qing, you’ve entered the Dao Integration Realm?!”
