Chapter 704: Crying in grievance, meeting and reminiscing

Looking at the girl in white holding a sword, and the look of disbelief on her face,

Lu Qing’s mind was in a trance for a moment.

Vaguely, he seemed to see the little girl who was holding a gray steamed bun in her hand and looking at him with surprise when he just woke up from this world.

From the cold and sharp aura on Xiaoyan, Lu Qing knew that Xiaoyan must have experienced a lot in the years when he was away.

A trace of heartache flashed in his eyes, and he slowly descended to the holy mountain and came to the front of the girl in white.

Xiaoyan was still staring at Lu Qing blankly, as if she still couldn’t believe what she saw.

She didn’t even dare to blink, for fear that everything in front of her was just a dream, and it would be shattered after a blink of an eye.

It wasn’t until a long time later that Xiaoyan saw that Lu Qing had not disappeared, and was still looking at her with a smile.

She understood that this might not be a dream.

Then, with a trembling voice, he asked, “Is that you, brother?”

“It’s me.” Lu Qing reached out and rubbed Xiaoyan’s head. “I’m back, Xiaoyan.”

Feeling the warmth of Lu Qing’s palm and his gentle voice, Xiaoyan finally believed that her brother had truly returned.

Suddenly, her nose felt sore, and the sword she always carried with her fell to the ground. Then, she threw herself into Lu Qing’s arms and burst into tears.

“I’m sorry, brother is late. I didn’t come back as promised, and I made you worry.”

Lu Qing’s eyes were filled with pain as he gently stroked Xiaoyan’s hair and soothed her softly.

But Xiaoyan’s sobs didn’t stop. Instead, they became louder, her tears soaking Lu Qing’s collar.

It was as if she was venting all the grievances she had accumulated over the years.

Han Lingshuang, the second and third Holy Lords, and the others watched quietly, not interrupting.

They all knew how much Xiaoyan had missed Lu Qing all these years.

“Xiaoyan…”

In the Void Flying Boat, Xiaoli’s face pressed against the edge, looking down.

“Xiao Li, didn’t you say you missed Lady Xiao Yan very much? Why don’t you go down?” Bai Jiao asked in a low voice.

“Wait a minute. Xiao Yan must miss Ah Qing the most. I’ll go down later.”

Xiao Li naturally felt the change in Xiao Yan’s temperament.

So it didn’t rush down first like it did when it returned to Jiuli Village before, but let the brother and sister reunite first.

On the top of the Holy Mountain, Xiao Yan cried for a long time before slowly stopping crying.

“Are you feeling better now? It’s my fault. I said I’d be back in fifty years at most, but it took me so long to come back.” Lu Qing comforted in a low voice.

“Brother, where have you been all these years?”

Xiao Yan’s head was still buried in Lu Qing’s arms.

She didn’t feel wronged just now, but now after crying, she remembered that there were people watching her. She felt ashamed and embarrassed for a moment.

“We’ve been to so many places over the years, I can’t tell you all about them all at once. I’ll tell you slowly after we get home.”

“Hmm,”

Xiaoyan replied softly. Then, as if remembering something, she hurriedly asked,

“Brother, you’re back. Where are Xiaoli and Wuxing? Why aren’t they here?”

“They’re all in the flying boat,” Lu Qing said with a smile.

Xiaoli, having heard Xiaoyan mention him, immediately leaped from the flying boat, transforming into a streak of light and instantly reaching the summit of Mount Sacred.

“Xiaoyan, Xiaoyan, I’m back!”

he said, leaping towards her.

Xiaoyan was startled by Xiaoli’s speed.

Even with her current strength, she couldn’t sense Xiaoli’s approach.

She quickly rose from Lu Qing’s arms and hugged Xiaoli tightly.

Feeling that familiar feeling, Xiaoyan couldn’t help but laugh. “Xiao Li, you’ve become so amazing now.”

“That’s right, I’m amazing now. Xiaoyan, let me tell you, Ah Qing and I have been to so many places…”

Xiaoli chattered, telling Xiaoyan about some of the things that happened since they left.

At this time, Wu Xing and Bai Jiao also disembarked from the flying boat, and Xiaoli began to introduce his good friends again.

Seeing the smile on Xiaoyan’s face, Lu Qing finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He casually put away the Void Flying Boat and looked at the old man standing not far away, looking at him kindly.

His expression became serious, and he hurriedly stepped forward to salute: “Greetings, Master, I’m back.”

“I’m glad you’re back, I’m glad you’re back,”

the old doctor nodded repeatedly, his face full of relief.

“Master, how are your injuries?”

Lu Qing asked with concern, sensing his master’s slightly weakened breath.

“It’s okay, just need a day or two of recuperation to heal. But the injury of the First Saint Lord is more troublesome.”

Earlier, the old doctor was hit by the monster’s palm and fell on the Holy Mountain.

It looked very scary, but in fact, he was protected by the sword energy at that time. In addition, he practiced the way of water and fire, and the water-based magic power itself has a strong healing effect.

So although he was seriously injured at that time, it was not seriously injured.

In just this short period of time, the injury has healed for the most part.

“First Saint Lord?”

Lu Qing only then noticed the First Saint Lord lying on the ground not far away, and the Second and Third Saint Lords who were sitting cross-legged beside him and using their magic power to stabilize their injuries.

And there was also Han Lingshuang who was looking at him steadily at the side.

“Greetings, Your Majesty.”

Seeing Lu Qing looking over, Han Lingshuang quickly saluted.

“Palace Master Han is here too?”

Lu Qing was stunned when he saw Han Lingshuang.

He hadn’t expected the master of Hanshui Palace to appear in the Holy Mountain.

“Sister Han has been with me in the Holy Mountain all these years,” Xiaoyan suddenly said.

“I see. Thank you, Palace Master, for taking care of Xiaoyan.” Lu Qing nodded slightly.

He knew there was probably some other reason he didn’t understand.

However, Lu Qing didn’t ask any further questions. He approached the three Holy Lords.

“Young friend Lu Qing, it’s been many years since we last met. Please forgive us for not being able to greet you with formalities at this time.”

The second Holy Lord gave a somewhat wan smile.

“Why are you so reluctant, Holy Lord? We are old friends. There’s no need to worry about such empty formalities. Let me check on the First Holy Lord’s injuries.”

“Okay, thank you, Young friend Lu Qing.”

The second and third Holy Lords were delighted at the words.

They had all witnessed Lu Qing’s magical backhand suppressing the monster.

Knowing that Lu Qing had returned from exploring the starry sky, his cultivation level had probably reached a point that was even more difficult for them to fathom.

With his help, Big Brother’s injuries would definitely be healed.

Lu Qing looked at the still unconscious First Saint.

Seeing the wounds and the demonic energy that had consumed most of his body, he immediately understood that this was most likely related to the monster he had just subdued.

The demonic energy within the First Saint, while quite subtle and possessing a faint implication of the Spirit Realm,

was no wonder even his master had described it as a formidable challenge. At their level, facing a force of this magnitude, they would undoubtedly feel helpless.

Of course, for Lu Qing, these were merely minor issues.

He stretched out his hand and grasped, and an invisible force permeated the First Saint’s body. The next moment, all the demonic energy seemed to be completely entangled.

With a gentle lift, Lu Qing lifted the demonic energy from the First Saint’s body.

It then condensed into a black demonic ball, which twisted and shifted in mid-air.

Lu Qing’s mind shifted slightly, and a wisp of transparent Southern Ming Lihuo appeared, enveloping the demonic ball.

The demonic ball let out a series of sharp screams before, in a fraction of a second, being incinerated.

Even the sight was still terrifying.

Deeply perceptive of the strangeness of the demonic arts,

even the cultivated demonic energy seemed to possess a living being. No wonder their previous attempts had been ineffective in expelling the First Saint’s body.

After completely expelling all the demonic energy from the First Saint’s body, Lu Qing waved his finger through the air.

Runes were effortlessly traced, and the spiritual energy of heaven and earth converged, swiftly forming a talisman imbued with life-giving energy. Finally, at Lu Qing’s command, it sank into the First Saint’s body. Once

the talisman had penetrated the body, its powerful vitality emanating from it caused the First Saint’s chest wound to heal at a speed almost visible to the n*ked eye.

Within a few dozen breaths, the once gruesome wound was completely healed.

The vital energy within the body rapidly recovered,

and even the paleness on his face vanished, returning to a rosy glow.

“Alright, First Saint should be awake soon,”

Lu Qing said with a smile.

The people around him were already stunned by Lu Qing’s miraculous technique.

They hadn’t expected that the First Saint Lord, who had just been gravely wounded and near death, could be healed in the blink of an eye by Lu Qing.

The old doctor, in particular, was filled with surprise.

Lu Qing’s methods, whether it was dispelling the demonic energy or effortlessly condensing the vitality talisman, had left him incredibly amazed.

His immediate thought was how much greater benefits such methods would offer if applied to medicine.

“Ah Qing, what did you just do?” the old doctor asked immediately.

“Master, during this trip, I’ve collected a considerable amount of Jindan and Yuanshen realm medical traditions. When I have some free time, I’ll transcribe them and compile a copy for you.”

Lu Qing understood what Master meant and spoke immediately.

“A Jindan and Yuanshen realm tradition? It seems you’ve experienced quite a bit over the years.”

The old doctor was delighted at first, then sighed.

Jindan realm traditions were certainly one thing, but Yuanshen realm traditions were incredibly valuable, and yet this disciple claimed to have collected quite a bit.

He knew without hesitation that Lu Qing had likely experienced quite a bit on this journey through the starry sky.

As for the Second Saint Lord and the others, they were horrified.

Lu Qing’s words implied that other spiritual worlds indeed existed beyond the starry sky, a truly shocking news for them.

“There are some disturbances, yes. Master, if you’d like to know, I’ll share some interesting anecdotes from the starry sky when we return to the village.”

Just as Lu Qing and the others were chatting, the First Saint Lord, lying on the ground, slowly opened his eyes.

At first, his eyes were blank, but upon seeing the Second Saint Lord and the others, he felt a sudden awakening, as all his memories quickly flooded back into his mind.

He immediately stood up. “Second brother, are you all alright? Where are those three demons? How’s Fairy Lu?”

His expression was filled with extreme anxiety, and he glanced around.

Then, upon seeing the people standing around, he froze.

“Old Doctor Chen, why are you here? And… Young Friend Lu Qing?!”

The First Saint Lord was only slightly surprised when he saw the old doctor, but upon seeing Lu Qing, he froze, staring at him in near disbelief.

“It’s me, Lord Saint. Long time no see.” Lu Qing smiled and nodded.

“Brother, those three demons have been taken care of by Young Friend Lu Qing.

Your injuries were also healed by Young Friend Lu Qing.

As for Old Doctor Chen, he also rushed over after you were severely injured by that demon. Without Old Doctor Chen, we probably wouldn’t have survived until Young Friend Lu Qing returned,”

the Second Saint Lord explained.

Of course, his explanation only made the First Saint Lord’s face look even more bewildered.

But despite his many questions, the First Saint Lord understood one thing:

those three terrifying demons had been taken care of by Lu Qing, and the danger to the Holy Mountain was over.

He bowed deeply to Lu Qing and the old doctor, “Thank you, Young Friend Lu Qing and Old Doctor Chen, for your help.”

“Lord Saint Lord, why are you so polite? Xiaoyan has been so well taken care of by you all these years. This is what I should do,” Lu Qing said with a smile.

“I wouldn’t dare say I’m taking care of you,” the First Saint Lord waved his hands. “Over the years, it’s Fairy Lu who has been protecting our Holy Mountain. If it weren’t for her, I’m afraid the Holy Mountain would have been occupied by those demons long ago.”

“Fairy Lu?” Lu Qing looked at Xiaoyan curiously.

Xiaoyan’s face suddenly flushed. “Brother, these are just nonsense. Don’t take them seriously.”

“It seems our Xiaoyan has become quite powerful during my absence, even becoming a fairy.”

Seeing the embarrassment on Xiaoyan’s face, Lu Qing laughed heartily and reached out to rub her head.

“Brother!”

Xiaoyan’s face flushed even more, and she pouts coquettishly.

However, she didn’t shy away from Lu Qing’s hand, letting him ruffle her hair.

Seeing Xiaoyan like this, the First Saint Lord felt relieved.

As expected, the only person who could completely unleash Fairy Lu’s defenses was Little Friend Lu.

Now that Little Friend Lu had returned, he no longer had to worry about Fairy Lu’s temper becoming even more extreme.

“However, I still need to find an opportunity to discuss Fairy Lu’s situation with Little Friend Lu in detail,” the First Saint Lord thought to himself.

After a while of casual conversation, Lu Qing gradually learned about the current situation in the world.

“You mean, the demonic path has resurfaced, demonic cultivators are rampant, and the people are living in extreme hardship?” Lu Qing frowned.

“Indeed, after you left, Young Friend Lu Qing, we’ve been slaying demons and monsters to prevent the spread of demonic influence.

However, a few years ago, several extremely powerful demons suddenly emerged from the depths of the icy plains in our northern base, changing the situation.

These demons plundered everywhere, destroying all sects and forces .

They also enslaved many demon cultivators, allowing them to wreak havoc on the world, which is why the situation worsened.

Fortunately, those demons have now been captured by Young Friend Lu Qing, so the remaining demon cultivators are no longer a threat,”

said the First Saint Lord.

“No, there is still one demon, still hiding in the dark,”

the old doctor suddenly said. (End of this chapter)
