Chapter 564: The matter is over and Sister Ye is uneasy

“So that’s how it is. It was this Daoist Fellow Chen who saved us.”

After the other two Qiankun Sect disciples regained consciousness and the young woman explained

the situation, the purple-robed young man finally understood the entire story.

They also learned Lu Qing’s current alias, “Chen Qing.”

Immediately, the purple-robed young man and the other two Qiankun Sect disciples bowed solemnly to Lu Qing and expressed their gratitude.

“Thank you very much, Daoist Fellow, for saving our lives. If it weren’t for your intervention, I’m afraid we would have all perished after Li Motian’s death.”

“You’re welcome. My master has always taught us that practitioners should uphold our original intentions and practice good deeds.

I simply happened to be able to save you,”

Lu Qing said with a faint smile.

“Your master’s words are truly kind. I wonder which senior master he was referring to?”

“I’m sorry, but when I left for my travels, my master issued strict orders not to reveal his name.”

The purple-robed young man and the others were not surprised.

Disciples from major sects or aristocratic families often conceal their identities when traveling abroad.

For example, when they were out training, they rarely revealed their identities as disciples of the Qiankun Sect.

However, several of them were already secretly speculating about which of the powerful sects in the Tianyuan World possessed a peerless genius worthy of Lu Qing.

“Everyone, since you are all well now, it is time for me to take my leave.”

However, before they could figure out which major sect Lu Qing might have come from, Lu Qing suddenly spoke.

“Fellow Daoist Chen, are you leaving now?”

The purple-clothed young man and the others were surprised.

The young woman, in particular, was stunned.

“Indeed, I have traveled extensively, never settling anywhere, and my encounter with you was merely a chance encounter.

Now that your injuries have healed, I am relieved. We shall part ways here.”

“How could that be? Fellow Daoist Chen, you saved us. This is such a great favor, and we have yet to repay even the slightest bit,”

the woman surnamed Ye said hurriedly.

“Our meeting is fate. I’ve only offered a small helping hand. Why should you take it so seriously?” Lu Qing smiled.

“But it’s not our nature to go unrequited. Saving your life is greater than heaven. If we leave without repaying anything, I’m afraid we’ll be punished by our master when we return,”

the purple-robed young man said.

Lu Qing observed their serious expressions and thought for a moment.

“Since that’s the case, why don’t you pay me with spirit stones?” Lu Qing’s sudden words left the purple-robed young man and his companions completely bewildered. “Well,

this

is

what I mean,” Lu Qing explained, seeing their confusion. “My master is a doctor.

He always taught me to have a doctor’s heart.

Just now, when I treated you, I used a high-grade spirit fruit.

If you’re still concerned, please pay me some spirit stones as consultation and medical fees.”

Finally, with the purple-robed young man and his companions bewildered and feeling a bit absurd, he said,

After Lu Qing accepted a sum of spirit stones from them, he said casually, “Everyone, we’ve met again, so I’ll take my leave now.”

With that, he transformed into a stream of light, soaring into the sky and drifting away.

Only the purple-robed young man and his companions remained, staring blankly in the direction he had left.

After a long while, the stream of light Lu Qing had transformed into had long since vanished, and the others finally came to their senses.

“This fellow Daoist Chen truly comes and goes like the wind, so elegant and graceful. This is how cultivators of my generation should behave,”

the purple-robed young man said with a look of

admiration. The others agreed.

Although they had only been in contact with Lu Qing for a short while, he had already left a deep impression on them.

“Why did Brother Chen leave so soon?”

The young woman’s face was filled with regret, and she felt deeply lost.

The purple-robed youth noticed her disappointment and immediately laughed, “It seems Junior Sister Xiaojing, our inner sect’s most beloved, has fallen for you.”

The girl blushed immediately, “Zi, Senior Brother Zixiao, what nonsense are you talking about!”

“But that’s perfectly normal. This Daoist Fellow Chen may be a little plain,

but he possesses profound cultivation and a free-spirited disposition, far surpassing many of our inner sect’s true disciples.

Plus, after your heroic rescue, it’s only natural that you’d be tempted, Junior Sister Jing,”

the purple-robed youth continued teasing.

“Senior Brother Zixiao, what are you talking about?” The girl blushed even more.

Seeing her shy expression, the purple-robed youth tried to tease her further.

At that moment, Senior Sister Ye glared at him coldly, saying,

“Zixiao, if you don’t control your mouth, it will surely bring you disaster in the future. Do you think you can criticize Daoist Fellow Chen?”

“Senior Sister…” The purple-robed youth was taken aback. He hadn’t expected Senior Sister Ye to suddenly become so serious.

Senior Sister Ye ignored him and instead asked the girl, “Xiao Jing, where is Li Motian’s body?”

“It’s not far ahead, Senior Sister Ye. I’ll take you there.”

The girl’s blush faded slightly, and she flew towards the scene of Lu Qing and Li Motian’s battle.

Senior Sister Ye glanced at the purple-robed youth and said, “When you see Li Motian’s body, you’ll understand how ridiculous your words were.”

Then she followed him away.

Only the purple-robed young man and two other Qiankun Sect disciples remained, somewhat bewildered.

“Senior Brother Zixiao, why is Senior Sister Ye suddenly angry?” one of the Qiankun Sect disciples asked.

“I don’t know,” the purple-robed young man scratched his head. “It seems the reason lies with Li Motian’s body.”

“Senior Sister Ye, Senior Brother Zixiao, Li Motian’s body is down there.”

A young woman in midair arrived at the spot where Lu Qing had rescued him and pointed downward.

Senior Sister Ye and the purple-robed young man looked down and saw a lifeless body sprawled on a shattered boulder.

Judging by its clothing and shape, it could only be Li Motian.

Upon seeing Li Motian’s body, Senior Sister Ye and the purple-robed young man’s gaze fixed. They

immediately flew down, turned the body over, and saw a familiar face. They

were both slightly shocked, yet inexplicably relieved.

Although the girl and Lu Qing had previously said that Li Motian was dead,

they hadn’t actually seen the body.

Deep down, they still couldn’t quite believe it.

That demon, so powerful after falling into the devil’s way,

had actually been killed in this nameless forest.

They even wondered if Li Motian had faked his own death, hiding it from Lu Qing and the others, and had already found an opportunity to escape.

After all, demonic cultivators were notoriously difficult to kill, with their strange techniques and numerous survival strategies.

However, because Lu Qing had saved their lives, they didn’t dare to ask directly.

Only now, seeing Li Motian’s body, did they finally feel relieved.

With her mind at ease, Senior Sister Ye began to examine Li Motian’s body again.

It turned out that Li Motian had no other injuries, save for a few bruises from his fall. His

only fatal wound was a single sword mark between his eyebrows.

Clearly, this sword mark was the cause of Li Motian’s death.

As her fingers brushed over the mark, sensing the startling wisp of sword energy still emanating from it, Senior Sister Ye was startled.

“Xiao Jing, tell me again in detail what happened after you escaped from the valley, and the battle between Fellow Daoist Chen and Li Motian,” Senior Sister Ye said sternly.

The purple-robed young man, sensing the clues, turned to the girl.

“Well, after I escaped from the valley, Li Motian quickly caught up with me…”

The girl didn’t hesitate, and she began to recount the entire story.

She recounted how Li Motian had caught up with her and how Lu Qing had rescued her

. The scene of Lu Qing beheading Li Motian was particularly etched in her memory.

She described it in exquisite detail, beaming with joy.

“…At that time, we were trapped within the massive formation set by Li Motian.

I thought we were doomed.

Unexpectedly, Brother Chen’s counterattack shattered Li Motian’s terrifying black fire formation.

Then, with unimaginable speed, Brother Chen advanced upon Li Motian.

With a single, casual finger, he struck Li Motian between the eyebrows, and Li Motian was dead.

From beginning to end, Li Motian’s every move failed to inflict the slightest harm on Brother Li.

On the contrary, Brother Li launched a single attack, and Li Motian was overwhelmed and utterly slain.”

“It truly took only one move to slay Li Motian…”

Senior Sister Ye muttered, deeply shaken after hearing the young woman’s account.

From Xiaojing’s description, she could easily tell that Li Motian’s strength had increased significantly after obtaining the treasures from the cave.

At least, he was far stronger than when they fought her.

Otherwise, Zixiao and the others wouldn’t have suffered such a devastating defeat.

You know, if the three of them joined forces, even she wouldn’t necessarily be able to defeat them.

Yet, according to Xiaojing, even the formidable Li Motian was crushed by Lu Qing from beginning to end.

In the end, he was slain with a single strike.

And according to Xiaojing’s description, Lu Qing likely didn’t even use his full strength when he killed Li Motian.

“Who exactly is this Fellow Daoist Chen…” Senior Sister Ye couldn’t help but wonder.

As for the three young men from Zixiao, they were already stunned.

After they woke up, Xiaojing briefly mentioned that Lu Qing had rescued Xiaojing.

But at the time, they had assumed that Lu Qing had used some powerful treasure to save Xiaojing.

They hadn’t realized that the battle between him and Li Motian would be so one-sided.

“Junior Sister Xiaojing, are you saying that even after unleashing his great formation, Li Motian was still slain by Fellow Daoist Chen in a single strike?”

the young man from Zixiao asked in disbelief.

“Yes!” the young woman nodded vigorously. “And Brother Chen didn’t employ any magical weapons from beginning to end. With a single sword strike, he slashed away all hope in Li Motian.”

The purple-robed youth was stunned again.

“Now you understand how ridiculous your words were,”

Senior Sister Ye’s cold voice echoed.

“You actually compared Fellow Daoist Chen to an inner sect disciple. How can you so casually mock and criticize someone like him?

Not to mention he saved our lives, Zixiao, you’re truly out of line! Fellow

Daoist Chen is kindhearted. If it were any other cultivator, even if they’d just slashed you, it would be your own fault.”

The purple-robed youth dared not speak.

He finally understood why letting go of Senior Sister Ye had been so irritating.

Just as she’d said, he could so easily slay Li Motian, who had fallen into the demonic path and reached the late Jindan stage.

Lu Qing’s strength must have reached a level he couldn’t even imagine.

Even if he wasn’t a Yuanshen power, he was at least at the eighth or even ninth level of the Jindan stage.

How could a mere Fourth Stage Jindan cultivator like him mock such a figure?

“Sister, I know I was wrong,” the purple-robed youth lowered his head.

Seeing his sincerity, Sister Ye’s expression softened slightly.

“It’s good that you know you’re wrong. Remember, words can cause trouble. Just because you’re okay this time doesn’t mean others will tolerate you in the future.”

“Yes,” the purple-robed youth continued to lower his head.

As for the other two Qiankun Sect disciples, they secretly congratulated themselves for not speaking without restraint.

“Alright, now that Li Motian is dead, we’ve eliminated a major threat.

We’ll rest here for a day or two, and once our mana is fully restored, we’ll set off back to the sect.”

“Yes, Sister.”

Sister Ye collected Li Motian’s body, a trace of worry welling up in her heart.

Although Li Motian was dead, much remained a mystery.

For example, how he had fallen into the devil’s way, and how he had managed to hide within the sect for so long without being discovered.

And whether what he had said to Zixiao and the others about his eldest brother was true.

All these questions lingered in her mind.

Senior Sister Ye vaguely sensed that there seemed to be a shadow lurking within the sect, making her feel inexplicably uneasy.

After suppressing her unease, she thought of Lu Qing.

This mysterious young man who had saved their lives was also shrouded in mystery.

Logically, such a talented young man with exceptional cultivation and unparalleled medical skills

should be renowned within the Tianyuan World .

However, she searched through the sect’s archives, recording numerous peerless talents of the younger generation,

and found no one who matched his status.

What did this mean?

It meant that Lu Qing had either entered the Tianyuan World from the outside world to train, or was a formidable talent cultivated in some secluded land.

Add to that the emergence of demonic cultivators like Li Motian.

All of this gave her a subtle sense of unease, as if a wave of unrest was brewing.

Perhaps something major was about to unfold within the Tianyuan World soon.

But Senior Sister Ye couldn’t share this with Zixiao and the others.

“Guess I’ll have to report this to Master after returning,”

she decided silently.

Two days later, after a period of retreat and retraining, the disciples of the Qiankun Sect had largely recovered.

Without further delay, they summoned their magical weapons and rushed to the sect’s main gate.

Shortly after their departure

, deep beneath the valley, in a hidden cave, a pool of blood began to stir.
