I Can See Through Everything - Chapter 10
Chapter 10 Discovery of the Kung Fu
suddenly realized he might have been reborn into a world of extraordinary power. He was both delighted and surprised. He was delighted because, as a Chinese, he had an inexplicable yearning for a life of chivalry, swordplay, and song. He was surprised because a world where such immense power could be concentrated and powerful individuals could emerge could also be far more dangerous than the average world. As the saying goes, knights use force to break the law. Once someone wields immense power, they tend to disregard all rules. It’s not uncommon for the strong to be enraged and the weak to suffer. And he, on the other hand, was a powerless weakling. If he ever stumbled upon a vicious individual who mastered the cultivation technique, he could easily be destroyed. Thinking of this, Lu Qing couldn’t help but feel a sense of crisis. He needed to rethink some of his preconceived ideas. Lu Qing once again fell into deep thought, slowly pondering his thoughts. The next morning, Lu Qing cooked a pot of river shrimp porridge and woke Xiaoyan, so the two siblings could share the porridge. ”Brother, the shrimp porridge is delicious,” the little girl said happily to Lu Qing, gulping down her porridge. She tilted her head back, a grain of porridge still on her face, and said to him happily. “It’s good. Drink slowly, don’t choke.” Lu Qing reached out and helped her pick the porridge grains from her mouth. ”Brother, are we going fishing today?” Xiaoyan asked. ”Not today. After we finish eating, we’ll go to Grandpa Chen’s.” Now that the family had food, Lu Qing wasn’t planning on fishing for the next two days. He’d caught a lot of fish at the small fishing spot yesterday, and it would probably take some time for it to recover. As for the remaining two spots, his simple fishing rod wasn’t going to support them. Until he could make a better rod, Lu Qing didn’t plan to fish there. There was no other way. The family was too poor, and every bit of resources was precious, and he couldn’t afford to waste them. ”Going to Grandpa Chen’s?” Xiaoyan’s eyes lit up. The little girl had been sleeping all day, unaware that Doctor Chen and Grandpa Zhang had been visiting. ”Well, do you want to go?” Lu Qing asked. Children are naturally afraid of doctors, but Lu Qing wasn’t sure if Xiaoyan would be the same way. ”I do,” the little girl said earnestly. “Grandpa Chen is such a nice guy. He cured my brother’s illness, and Xiaoyan hasn’t thanked him yet.” Lu Qing smiled. “Yes, let’s go thank Grandpa Chen together.” After finishing his porridge, Lu Qing locked the door and took Xiaoyan out. Doctor Chen didn’t live in the village, but rather halfway up a hill behind it. As Lu Qing and Xiaoyan walked along the road, they spotted a small, isolated courtyard looming on the hillside, looking quite picturesque. Halfway up the hill, Lu Qing spotted a figure moving in front of the courtyard. He was about to speak, but suddenly stopped himself. He pulled Xiaoyan closer, silencing her. He sensed that Doctor Chen didn’t want to be disturbed. He was practicing a form of boxing. Lu Qing didn’t recognize the specific type of boxing, but it looked a lot like the Tai Chi practiced by the old men in the park in his past life. The moves were slow and gentle. But after a few glances, Lu Qing noticed something different. Doctor Chen’s moves looked soft and limp, but in reality, each one was like a powerful wind, flowing like clouds and water, a truly beautiful sight. Just as Lu Qing was beginning to be mesmerized, a line of words suddenly popped up in his field of vision. [Discovered technique, would you like to simulate it?]
Huh?
Lu Qing’s pupils suddenly constricted.
His supernatural power actually had such a function?!
Glancing at Doctor Chen, still absorbed in his boxing, Lu Qing forced himself to calm his pounding heart and calmly chose “yes.”
[Starting simulation, current progress, 1%, 2%, 3%…]
Watching the progress bar tick by silently in his field of vision, Lu Qing’s heartbeat accelerated again.
He hadn’t expected his supernatural power to simulate other people’s martial arts.
Just yesterday, he was still fretting over his inability to access the cultivation methods of this world.
Now, a perfect storm.
Lu Qing closely watched Doctor Chen’s movements, simultaneously keeping an eye on the progress of the simulation.
[48%, 49%, 50%]
When the simulation reached 50%, Lu Qing noticed it had stopped and the note had disappeared.
Looking across, he saw Doctor Chen had already finished his boxing practice.
Lu Qing thought to himself, what a shame!
If he had come earlier, perhaps he could have simulated Doctor Chen’s set 100% perfectly.
Now he was stuck in the middle, which made him feel quite uncomfortable.
But Lu Qing only felt sorry for a moment and adjusted his mentality.
This time, he was able to discover another function of the supernatural power, which was already a big enough gain.
As for Doctor Chen’s skills, there is a long way to go, and there will always be opportunities in the future, so there is no need to rush.
Doctor Chen finished practicing a set of boxing and then looked at Lu Qing and his sister.
In fact, he had known that Lu Qing and his sister were beside him.
It was just that practicing in the morning was a habit for him, so he didn’t stop.
“You are here. Have you had breakfast?” Doctor Chen asked gently.
“I have.” Lu Qing replied respectfully.
Xiaoyan stepped forward and took the old doctor’s hand: “Grandpa Chen, thank you for curing your brother’s illness.”
“Haha, little guy, you should thank yourself. If you hadn’t cried so hard that day, I wouldn’t have gone into the house to see what was going on.”
The old doctor touched Xiaoyan’s head and sighed.
That day, while strolling through the village, he happened to hear Xiaoyan crying. Unable to bear it any longer, he went inside to check on her. Only then did he discover how seriously ill Lu Qing was.
“Why should I thank Xiaoyan? Grandpa Chen cured my brother,” the little girl asked, somewhat puzzled.
“It’s not entirely my credit. Your brother’s recovery is also a blessing from heaven,” the old doctor sighed.
Yesterday, when he returned home, he searched the medical books again, but still couldn’t find any reference to Lu Qing
‘s condition. Ultimately, he could only chalk it up to good luck and a stroke of luck.
Xiaoyan, confused by the old doctor’s words, could only nod in confusion.
Lu Qing then realized there was another reason why Old Doctor Chen had treated him.
He gave Xiaoyan a doting look and bowed deeply to the old doctor again. “Thank you, Grandpa Chen, for saving my life.”
“You… well, never mind,”
Old Doctor Chen finally waved his hand, nodding off.
Because he knew that even if he explained more, Lu Qing and the others would still think that he cured the disease.
In that case, why bother to explain more.
“Grandpa Chen, what were you doing just now? Boxing?” At this time, Xiaoyan asked naively.
Lu Qing also looked at the old doctor.
