CHAPTER 1632: THE BIRTH OF MING, THE TRUE LITERATURE CLAN

At that very moment, deep within the ocean, faint whispers echoed, as if reverberating in a boundless, profound darkness, carrying with them a long and sorrowful history.

“The power of the Bone Guardian Clan originates from the Creation Alliance, inconceivable, containing the eternal profound meaning of the cycle of life and death. Throughout those long, ancient eras, the corpses that perished in the Heavenly Punishment have all ended up here.” “

Each corpse can unleash seven or eight parts of its former strength. As long as the Creation Spring left by the Creation Alliance doesn’t dry up, the Bone Guardian Clan will not vanish. As long as there are corpses, they can be resurrected.”

“In the present era, unless one is a true pioneer, no one can penetrate this place.”

Within an ancient cave, the Primordial Light emerged, and inside, a pair of eyes, seemingly capable of bringing eternal peace to the heavens, opened. Their pupils flickered, as if containing the cycle of reincarnation and destruction, or perhaps the fading of a once-existing civilization.

Similarly, deep in the ocean, in an ancient village separated from the primeval mountain range, the winter was bitterly cold. The biting wind howled, and the sky was filled with ice and snow. The vast expanse of snow left almost no sign of life; even the trees were frozen to death.

This was a perpetual winter, lasting for a very long time. If one could not endure it, they would be buried beneath the ice and snow.

A young man, clad in a belt of animal hide and wearing a skirt, with bronze-colored skin, was chasing a rare wild beast that was perpetually frozen in the snow. This beast’s entire body was covered in snow-white fur, its form resembled a leopard, yet it possessed the cunning of a fox. It could conceal itself deep within the ice and snow, its body trembling with some kind of mysterious power, naturally resisting the cold.

“Damn it, it escaped again. The Snow Leopard is indeed not so easy to catch. But if we can’t find food, many people in the village will freeze to death, and we’ll have to extinguish the warm spring.”

The young man muttered, watching the Snow Leopard disappear from sight, and could only repeatedly punch the icy ground.

Looking into the distance, beyond the deep, mist-shrouded mountain range, the crescent moon revealed a swirling expanse of white snow, like a boundless snowfield hanging upside down, raging with wind and snow, flowing against the heavens and earth, its end nowhere in sight.

He sighed, shouldering his bow and arrows, he could only turn back, trying his best to return to the village before nightfall, where the warm springs and flint could dispel some of the eerie and terrifying things outside.

The young man’s name was Shi Zhu, just an ordinary young man in the village. Due to some innate divine power, he could hunt and survive in this forgotten land, providing shelter and meat for the village.

His village was called Shi Wen Village. As for why it was called that, Shi Zhu didn’t know, only that the village chief had said that all the villagers in Shi Wen Village were named after “Shi.” Every villager, upon reaching a certain age, would go to the central “Shi Well” in the village to purify their bodies, leaving their real names behind. This was a long-standing rule and tradition of Shi Wen Village.

Only those who had purified their bodies in the “Shi Well” could have the chance to have descendants and continue the lineage…

Why

Shi Wen Village existed, or what it guarded, no one told Shi Zhu, not even the village chief seemed to know. The village wasn’t large, its walls and interiors made of mud and earth, with only a few hundred inhabitants. In the perpetually freezing winter, it was shrouded in a silvery blanket, the ground covered in snow, the earth frozen solid. Only a single “Food Well” in the center of the village emitted a faint light, casting a different hue on this snow-covered landscape.

“Come back, A-Chay, did you not encounter any prey today?”

A strong young man, responsible for observing and assessing the snow disaster situation at the village’s front, asked him from atop the observation tower.

The observation tower, its entire body carved from black, wrought-iron, clearly displays some strange patterns. This seems to originate from a mysterious force within the “Food Well,” protecting the village’s entrance, allowing a subtle warmth to flow through the area, and resisting the intrusion of the cold wind.

Without this mysterious force, the entire Food Village would have suffered even greater deaths from the perpetual freezing cold.

“I encountered a Snow Leopard, but unfortunately, it ran too fast, disappearing in an instant. Under the perpetual freezing cold, I can’t see any other animals,” Food Axis

sighed, a look of helplessness on his face.

Looking at the strong young man inside the tower, he scratched his head, seemingly unable to do anything about it.

In this perpetually frozen place, even the most skilled villagers of yesteryear couldn’t venture far. The further away from the village, the lower the air temperature, a temperature capable of freezing a living person into a block of ice, even with a warm Ishiya.

In the entire village, only Shi Zhu was an exception. He possessed innate divine strength, with a strange black, veined mark on his chest. This allowed him to remain alive even in this perpetually frozen region, helping the village hunt and bring back meat.

“With the stored food, I don’t know how long we can hold out.”

“Hurry back! This morning I heard there was some unusual activity in the Food Well. The village chief has been alarmed and has summoned many respected elders to the Ancestral Hall for a discussion.” “

The village chief even specifically sent someone to inform me that if he knew you were back, he wanted me to hurry back, as if there’s something very important to announce.”

The strong young man, with a simple expression, scratched his head and said,

“Ancestral Hall?”

Shi Zhu was startled. He had been an orphan since childhood, raised by his grandfather, the village chief. In his eyes, his grandfather was his closest relative. Soon, he ran along the vast, snow-covered village path, heading deeper into the village. Houses on either side were piled high with white snow, ice shards hanging like swords, reflecting the distant, pristine white snowstorm. Almost every household was huddled indoors, burning leftover charcoal from the previous year for warmth.

In the center of Shi Wen Village, there was an ancient well with a dark border. Its mouth seemed to be made of some kind of specially prepared black mud and gold leaf, intricately carved with strange symbols. A faint, molten firelight emanated from within, radiating a slow warmth that spread throughout the village during this bitterly cold winter. The well water flowing from it was completely unaffected by the harsh weather.

Following Shi Zhu to the “Food Well” area, he saw a group of villagers, clad in thick raincoats and wearing hooded hats, standing solemnly in front of the well, seemingly waiting for something. The

usually amiable village chief, Grandpa Shi Zhu, was now also solemn and serious, holding a tattered black bowl in his hand, muttering something as if praying or performing a ritual.

“Village Chief Grandpa…”

“What’s happening? Why are all the village elders here? Is this year’s snow disaster unusual?”

Shi Zhu immediately questioned upon arrival.

This isolated area was prone to various anomalies, especially at night, when all villagers were instructed not to leave the village, not to leave the area protected by “Food Stone.”

“Food Stone” is a precious type of stone material taken from within the “Food Well,” but it is very scarce and is hung on the railings surrounding the village gate. Where the “Food Stone” emits a faint light, it can ward off some anomalies and ghosts from the night.
