From writing my first book to now, I’ve learned many lessons and gained even more. From the moment I signed the contract, it’s exceeded my expectations. Every reward since then has been a gift and a tremendous affirmation.

Thank you, everyone who’s read this far, those reader IDs who have been etched in my mind, constantly posting silly comments, offering sincere suggestions, or even critiquing this book. Every time I open this chapter, I can’t help but laugh. Unless you change your names, it’ll be hard to forget. I’m sincerely grateful for your support.

A thousand readers, a thousand Hamlets.

Some people prefer open endings, others prefer to wrap up everything and say goodbye with a serious goodbye. Some, however, prefer a more abrupt ending, a taste for uniqueness.

After writing 9 million words, I finally understand why so many authors prefer to leave the story as is . It’s so easy, just leave it alone, irresponsible. It’s simply refreshing.

I’ve carefully considered various ending options and found that most of the plot holes that needed to be filled have been filled, and most of the important things that needed to be explained have been explained along the way.

So there’s no need to drag it out any further.

The final stroke isn’t a period, but a stroke to the heavens.

Five years and four months of “Passive Skills” is my gift to readers who enjoy this book. And to address any concerns (pitfalls):

The Great Tribulation was never intended to be written. Anything beyond the Holy Divine Continent, including the New Heavenly Realm, will not be covered in this book. Nuo may appear in a side story or be the protagonist of a subsequent book, but that’s not confirmed yet.

Sifang Si, like Nuo and the Great Tribulation, is merely a hook, a thread leading to another world. Neither of them is destined to be fully explored in this book; that would create unnecessary excitement, rather than a thrill.

Whether it’s a new heavenly realm or the Eight Lords returning to the past heavenly realms isn’t important. I also considered whether the ending should involve some important supporting characters to reconnect, perhaps adding a few more chapters, but it’s too watered-down. Furthermore, further connection would make it even harder to let go, which would be a complete waste of time.

The story ends here, and it’s time to say goodbye.

There are many emotions, all of which are simply a sense of reluctance to leave.

Turning to the new book, which you might be paying close attention to…

From what I’ve discussed above, it’s clear that I have many ideas for the new book. In fact, while writing this book, I had countless sleepless nights, and ideas for the new book popped into my head.

I even considered unrealistic ideas like eunuchs and dual-opening accounts, but I suppressed them as inner demons. Of course, I didn’t lose any of the ideas; I wrote them all down, filling pages of endlessly long mobile notes.

This book has given me so much. I need to spend time carefully pondering the results of my experiments, figuring out which areas to avoid, which areas to detail and which to omit, which areas to leave blank, and which areas to emphasize. I’ve learned so much.

I need a long break.

Maybe months, a year, maybe even longer?

Until one night, inspiration awakens me again. I suppress it, and inspiration knocks again. I suppress it, and inspiration comes again, connecting everything logically, and the new book will be a natural result.

At least until after the Spring Festival. I want to have a carefree Spring Festival. I’m so tired…

And everyone else is tired of reading, so you can change your taste and read better books on the charts. But I don’t have many author friends, so I won’t recommend any books. The ones at the top of the charts are definitely good, and I will study them carefully.

When the new book is confirmed to be ready, I will let everyone know in advance to meet the expectations of any fans who may still be there. Genre, subject matter, tentative word count (it won’t be this long anyway), and so on. I

also have an idea: I want to disband the Penguin group. Once the book is finished, the group’s direction will probably deviate from its normal trajectory, and people won’t discuss the plot seriously anymore. It’s better to kill it off now. Of course, I’m also asking for your opinions here.
