[Demon Hunter’s Blade Chapter 245]

Charles pushed the door open to the left and right, and shouted into the house, “Come out! Run! Run!”

Most of the people still survived. They saw the door open and fled wildly, with traces of smoky fire on their bodies. They ran, crying, screaming, and scrambling to escape the lit restaurant.

Ciel turned his eyes to the left and right, and saw in the corner, Marissa knelt facing the wall.

“Come on.” Charles rushed over.

Marissa got up, looking desperate and weary, and handed the crying child to Charles.

“I… I’m out of strength. Please take the child away.” She said weakly, and Charles was shocked to see one of her arms scalded and her scorched clothes sticking to her skin.

“Don’t worry.” Charles didn’t hesitate for a moment, “Hold the child well.” He handed the child to Marissa, then picked her up by the waist, and quickly fled away.

The moment Ciel stepped out of the restaurant door, Marissa couldn’t help crying.

“Oh—thank—thank you—” Marissa burst into tears.

“Don’t worry,” Charles whispered.

Ciel himself ran outside with a firework.

Julian was still in a daze, not recovering from the shock.

“Is that so?” Julian murmured. “I’ve saved thousands of people in my life, and I’m going to suffer this crime? Why? Why?—”

“Honey!” Marissa yelled at him.

He turned his head and saw Charles put Marisa down, Julian took half a step forward and almost fell.

“God—god—” he shouted, “is this true?”

Charles turned back and ran back into the banquet hall again. He saw the ceiling collapsed, and someone was trapped behind the fallen fire beam. It was a woman, crying for help.

“Help! Help!” she whined.

“Calm down!” Ciel called to her, before stepping over the burning debris.

The surrounding fires were blazing, the air was thin, and Charles felt a burning pain in his nose every time he breathed.

Finally came to her, she hid in the corner of the dining room, a falling beam blocked her inside.

“Help me—” she begged, and Charles only then recognized the noblewoman who had lent him the rapier that afternoon.

“Don’t worry.” Ciel took off his heavy windbreaker, used it like a glove, and slammed it on the beam. Before it was set on fire, Ciel grabbed the long beam through the coat. The strength of her arms burst out, directly pulling the broken beam away, enabling her to escape.

The noblewoman rushed out and hugged Charles forward: “You saved me! You saved me!”

“Let’s go.” Ciel took her arm, made sure that no one else was trapped, and then led her to escape quickly.

As soon as they escaped from the burning restaurant, the temperature dropped rapidly.

The noblewoman gasped.

“Thank you.” She was extremely grateful, “Thank you so much, I thought I was going to die.”

“Nothing,” Charles said.

He looked up and saw the fire spreading rapidly in the house, burning everywhere.

Someone leaned out to ask for help from a window. He was trapped in the room and could not get out. He called for help outside, but no attention was paid to him, and no one came to help him. People tried in vain to put out the fire or simply stole things to escape.

The man didn’t want to be burned alive, or smoked to death, so he jumped from a height.

“Ahhh-” he screamed as he jumped down.

“Phantom power.” Ciel chanted the curse in a low voice, turned his fingers, and the airflow reversed. The man floated abruptly before falling to the ground, greatly reducing the impact, and he fell to the ground without being injured.

“Not dead? Not dead?” He got up and stroked the bruises and scratches on his body. “I am not dead! Gods are on top! That’s great!”

The noblewoman stared at Ciel: “You can also spell.”

“Well,” Charles said, “be careful and run away.”

It’s dangerous here.

He hurried to find Luanna and Grace.

There were more corpses along the way, with large holes and wounds running through them.

They kill anyone they see, and don’t let any survivors go. They can easily be found by excited laughter.

Luana asked Grace to take away from the study all kinds of expensive manuscripts, all of them valuable medical books and pharmacopoeia.

“You’re here.” Luana smiled.

“Have your revenge been avenged?” Charles asked.

“I know what you want to ask,” said Luana, “you must say, oops, hatred only leads to new hatred, violence is blind, revenge has a price, homomorphic revenge is not desirable, people should learn Let go, people should try to let go and look away. Also, is it worth it? Do you feel regret? Don’t you have compassion? Don’t you think they are innocent? Do you have a conscience? Did you do it? It’s too much? . . . . . . . . . . Do you want to ask these? Are you trying to tell me what I’m doing wrong? Sorry, my answer is, it’s all worth it, hooray for revenge. I feel so overwhelmed right now It’s cool, and I definitely won’t regret it.”

Grace was wearing an expensive dress, her hands on her hips, and she was radiant.

“People like him,” Grace said, “deserved this.”

“I’m not here to ask any questions or make any moral judgments,” Shire said.

“Then what are you doing?” Luana asked.

“Get out of here, the fire is about to burn,” said Charles.

“Oh.”

Realizing that what he said was true, Luana and Grace immediately evacuated with Ciel.

When they came to the back door of the manor, the guards had escaped without a trace, and Luanna could leave at will.

She listened to the movement in the manor.

“Why didn’t I hear the cry,” Luanna noticed the difference, “Why didn’t I hear the people in the restaurant being burned to death?”

“I rescued them,” said Charles.

“…” Luana frowned, “You owe me an explanation. You want to be the hero tonight? Huh? So you didn’t take me seriously? My business is worthless in your eyes?”

Grace was also surprised.

“Why did you save them?” Grace asked.

“Everyone is an ordinary person,” said Ciel. “Life is already very hard. I just want to see the sun the next day. Each has his own dreams and jobs. Now he is suddenly involved in your revenge and almost burned alive. Death. I can’t accept that someone doesn’t take the life of an ordinary person seriously, not even you.”

“What about Julian? You must kill him!” cried Luana.

“What’s the punishment for a corpse?” Charles asked.

“…Ah…” Luana said reluctantly. “Five or six months in prison.”

“An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, he almost let you spend five or six months in prison, and you burned his house to the ground tonight, the fire can’t be put out at all, it will take him five or six years to make up for the loss, he So old, I am afraid that he will not be able to rebuild at all, he will suffer in pain, and his life will not be as nourishing as before.” Ciel said.

“You make my heart ache,” Luana said. “Who do you think you are?”

“The world should be better and more people should live,” Ciel said. “Isn’t that what I fought against the devil for? You ruined his house, you’ve cost him a lot.”

Luana was silent.

“You don’t know anything,” she said.

“I only know that you are going to become the hero of the world, take them back, people will praise you, and you will become the defender of the world.” Ciel gave Luanna all the white wedges.

“Okay.” Luana put away a lot of white wedges, “I will distribute them all over the world, so the demons can’t invade.”

“Yes, so that we can stop the large-scale aggression of the demons and bring the White Wedge to Valanelle, who knows what to do,” said Ciel.

“What about the sea? What about places without civilization?” Luana asked.

“It’s better than a demon coming directly to a populated place,” Ciel said.

“Well.” Luanna said, “…my revenge was partially completed, and the idiot doctor learned a lesson. Then…there is only one thing left in this place that deserves my attention. After Grace and I left, You will help me keep an eye on the Dark Book.”

“what is that?”

“A book that records many dark spells. I am studying the first volume. The second volume is in the city and stored in the library of the palace. You have to help me find it.”

“I see.”

Luana looked out of the manor, and everything seemed very quiet in the long night.

“I’m leaving,” said Luana. “The guards will come any time.”

“Yeah,” said Charles. “It’s been a smooth ride.”

Luanna stepped forward and kissed Ciel: “Not enthusiastic at all, do you really want me to go, you bastard.”

“My fault,” Ciel said. “Where’s Grace? What are you going to do about it?”

Grace waited nervously for Luanna’s reply.

“She will be my assistant and my disciple,” Luana announced.

“Very good.” Charles nodded.

She walked out, and when she left, she looked back for the last time: “What about you? Where are you going?”

“I have to go back to the manor,” said Charles.

“Remember, the world will fail your kindness,” she said.

Then, Luana’s figure disappeared into the night.

You are wrong, Luana.

Charles thought to himself.

I am not kind, I am capable, and ability will not be let down.

Chapter 313 After the Fire

Charles turned and re-entered the house after the fire.

The restaurant was completely charred, covered with black ashes, the flames were still burning on the giant long table, the surroundings were terribly hot, and the smoke was pungent.

Although Ciel rescued most of the people, there were still two or three coke-like corpses. They had different postures and twisted movements. They must have struggled violently before dying.

The deceased were of different identities, but now that their clothes, hair and faces have been burned, it is impossible to tell the difference between them.

very ugly.

……fine.

Charles sighed.

Fortunately, I saved them, otherwise, according to Luanna’s madness, everyone would be burned alive in the dining room.

She lit the place, blocked the entrance and exit, and no one could escape alive.

What will it be like then?

Burnt corpses all over the place?

None of them went out?

I’m not perfect, and I sometimes do assholes, but I can’t bear to see them trapped alive.

Even a little bit, I want to help the world.

Charles stroked the hot wall, and after burning, the wallpaper was burnt away, leaving dark stones behind.
