Headshot Wizard - Chapter 7

Chapter 7 Meeting
A steaming broth, a small pot of fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits, three pieces of bread with butter, and other desserts were served immediately. Lance ate wildly in front of everyone.
After all, he has been hungry for a day.
“Chef Hogg is very personal.” As he ate, Lance thought in his heart. Everyone who can survive in the Viscount’s castle is not a simple thing, at least the ability to observe words and colors has reached a very high level. For example, chef Hogg, this guy is responsible for the meals of the Viscount and his children in the castle. It is not easy for Lance to eat these things after the meals are usually past. But just tonight, Hogg abruptly arranged the kitchen to give Lance such a sumptuous dinner within three minutes.
This is why he was able to serve as the head chef in the Viscount’s Castle for nine years.
Lance didn’t mind the flattery of these people, after all, he was very happy to eat better. While holding the animal skin on the side, the Viscount still asked in disbelief, “Amman, is this true?”
The Wizard of Amman replied with great certainty once again: “Undoubtedly, this is the standard rune of secondary meditation…I can’t even find a place to be faulty. Master Lance painted too standard. I can’t even find it. I believe that he can actually draw such a rune in three minutes, and many second-level wizards cannot do this. I can only say that if this qualification can be maintained, he will be a magical genius! ”
The Viscount and everyone looked at each other. They were all ordinary people and couldn’t see the outlines on the runes at all. Because of the Amman wizard, everyone is very careful not to deliberately interpret the runes on the animal skins, otherwise the power of the magic will hurt ordinary people like them into idiots.
The Viscountess Nancy obviously couldn’t accept this. She looked suspiciously at Lance, who was eating and drinking, and then at Amman, who was equally shocked but with a delighted look, and decided in her heart that there must be something tricky in it.
“Is it because Amman took Lance for any benefit and deliberately helped him fake it?” After thinking for a long time, there was only one in Nancy’s mind that could explain the current situation. If it weren’t for Amman’s tricks in secret, how could Lance turn from a useless trash to a magical genius? !
She had a cold face, and wanted to speak several times, but when she saw the overjoyed look of the Viscount, she forced herself to swallow the words that had reached her throat. The Viscount trusts Amman quite a bit, and coupled with his love for Lance, if he speaks rashly, he might irritate the Viscount.
“It’s not the time, just let this kid be proud of it for a while.” Nancy thought in her heart. She held down the unconvinced Biqi, and smirked: “Then congratulations, Lance. I can’t think of being there. In half a year, you really learned a lot.”
Who knows that Lance didn’t listen to the words of the lady’s gun and stick at all. He was so hungry that after swallowing a bite of bread, he took another sip of hot soup. Then he looked at the Viscountess blankly, and said vaguely: “Madam, what did you just say? Excuse me, I’m so hungry…”
Nancy was trembling almost lifelessly, this time she didn’t even bother to do it with a strong smile, just snorted and turned her face away.
Lance looked at the crowd, nodded and smiled at Irene who was full of joy, and continued to deal with the food on the table.
…
The hall was silent, there was no sound, only the sound of Lance devouring it.
Everyone looked at each other. The Wizard of Amman and the Lord Viscount were both smiling. Viscount Lane, who was just anxious to hold a meeting, seemed to suddenly relax at this moment, just sitting there waiting. The Lord Viscount was waiting, and the rest of them didn’t dare to say a word.
It took a long time for Lance to fill his stomach and burp a lot.
The Viscount, who pays great attention to etiquette, rarely tolerated Lance’s vulgarity. Instead, he smiled and said, “Are you full? If not, I will let Hogg do more.”
Lance shook his head: “Thank you, my father, but I’m already struggling.”
The Viscount let out a sigh, his eyes became extremely complicated. He handed the animal skins in his hand to Amman, and muttered: “Since you can write this rune, it means that you can enter the next step in wizard learning. For church matters, forget it.”
“Every next day, you will study with Amman. Regarding the cost of study…” The Viscount frowned. Learning magic is very expensive. Lance’s half-year spending with Amman is very important for sitting on a large territory on the West Coast. He is still a big expense.
Seeing that something was wrong, the lady suddenly interrupted: “My dear, although Lance spent a lot of money each month before, but in order to learn magic, the necessary investment is still necessary. I suggest maintaining the previous level.”
This sentence seems to be for Lance’s defense, but in fact it is for fear that the Viscount Lord will be happy to increase his investment in Lance. Lance was able to write a rune of secondary meditation, which proved that he was not far from the wizard. In this case, it is fortunate that the Viscount did not increase the investment in Lance. A fee.
Viscount Lane glanced at the eldest lady and nodded: “Well, it remains unchanged for the time being. It is still three hundred gold coins a month.”
Irene and Sabina looked at Lance with envy. They only have ten gold coins each month. Lance is thirty times more than theirs. But Biqi looked at Lance with With a lot of jealousy and resentment, she couldn’t tolerate such unfair treatment.
Nancy let out a sigh of relief, her heart was very unhappy, but her face looked like she was happy for Lance.
“Thank you, my father.” Lance was not too excited. Learning spells is indeed very expensive. He definitely can’t do it alone. Only when he has the support of the entire territory is there a chance.
Amman nodded with some relief: “As far as the cost of learning, old man, don’t worry. In addition to the money you paid, I will also provide Lance with certain spell materials.”
Everyone was shocked when he said this, and the Viscount-sama showed a surprised smile.
If Lance only learned spells from Amman before, then Amman’s words completely established Lance’s status in the Viscountry. He will become the disciple of the Wizard of Amman-student and disciple, and there are two relationships between the two. The latter is obviously more intimate.
Lance said gratefully: “Thank you teacher!”
Amman shook his head and smiled: “This is what you deserve.”
…
Suddenly, the atmosphere in the castle suddenly became lively. The news that the second young master Lance passed the first threshold to become a wizard spread at an astonishing speed, ranging from members of the patrol team in the castle to the horseman’s garden in the stables. Gardeners, each talking about this amazing news.
In the hall, Viscount Lane ended his test of Lance and signaled the patrol captain and others to go to his study, and the rest of them could leave by themselves.
When Lance just wanted to leave, who knew the Viscount suddenly shouted: “Wait, Lance, you also come to the study, even if you don’t understand this, it’s good to listen.”
Lance can only follow his fate. The face of the Viscountess became even more ugly.
Lance bid farewell to his sisters, and then walked into the Viscount’s study with the strange faces and Amman. Leaving the restaurant, the atmosphere immediately became serious.
“This month’s situation, where do you start?” The Viscount cleared his throat and sat behind the desk.
“Lord Viscount, let me start!” A middle-aged man came out, smiled at Lance, and handed the account book to Viscount Lane: “This is the tax situation of the five territories this month. My lord, please have a look.”
Lance tried to search his memory and found it after searching for a long time. The middle-aged man in front of him was the tax official in the territory, and the cousin of the second lady was named Terry.
The regular meeting held in the Viscount’s study is held once a month, and the figures in charge of all aspects in the territory report to the Viscount.
The Viscount asked Lance to listen, because he meant to train him in all aspects, so he concentrated on listening to the sound, and at the same time let the main chip fox turn on the recording mode.
“A good memory is not as good as a bad pen, and a bad pen is not as good as a gene chip…”
