[Extra 34. Hidden Sand Castle (11)]

Joyner stopped the car obediently and tidied her clothes.

She put a large canvas cloak over her head, untied a corner and rolled it twice around her neck, covering half of her face, leaving only her two eyes exposed. Then he covered his red hair, raised his legs forward to block the wind, and sat in the driver’s seat to wait, pretending to be relaxed on the surface.

But while doing this, her mind was not idle. She kept flashing back to the scenarios she would have to deal with next, thinking about how she should deal with everything in the worst case scenario.

The first thing Joyner thought about was how to hide her identity so that they would not see any flaws. Secondly, is the question she is most concerned about: If these people become suspicious, what means of communication will they use to contact Hidden Sand Castle?

She knew very well that there was an insurmountable gap in strength between herself and the newcomers, and it would be easy to deal with them.

Judging from Joyner’s understanding of the technology and knowledge of this era, it is certain that these people would not have advanced communication equipment such as mobile phones or walkie-talkies. Then, we can only rely on the most primitive communication methods – either igniting fires, sending flares, or just relying on two legs to send messages, maybe there are also things like homing pigeons? Only the devil knows.

But it would be great if that were the case.

This meant that once this group of people saw through her disguise and had to fight to deal with it, she could subdue them all and kill them mercilessly in the wilderness. While the other party was unable to contact Hidden Sand Castle, he could drive into the city without anyone noticing.

But at this juncture, she didn’t want to cause trouble, and she would avoid fighting if she could.

Once a person dies, he will be discovered very quickly so close to Hidden Sand Castle. This will inevitably lead to the pursuit of the murderer, which will be even more detrimental to his future actions.

Thinking of this, an indifferent smile appeared on Joyner’s frosty face.

A modified off-road vehicle and two two-wheeled motorcycles together formed a small convoy patrolling the Hidden Sand Castle.

The lights did not go out and were always shining on the truck.

Joyner turned away without waiting for anyone to approach the car, looking lazy.

In fact, her eyes had been paying attention to several figures in the reflector.

There were a total of five guards in the halo, dressed in costumes that matched the identities of the bandits, and walked over holding machetes, sticks and other weapons. The big man at the beginning had a bald head, but there were many tattoos on his bald head. He seemed to be the leader of these patrolling thugs.

“Is it Hui? It’s been a long time -“

The bald man seemed to have recognized the truck a long time ago and quickly walked to the cab window. But before he finished speaking, he suddenly saw an unknown figure and immediately became alert. Swallow the next half of the sentence.

“Hey, who are you?” He looked surprised.

“Where’s Laitou Ahui? Where are the others?”

Joyner turned her head slightly and saw the bald man looking at her suspiciously and peeping his head, so she mumbled and lowered her voice, “Well… I’m new here. Brother Hui and the others are in trouble, so send me to deliver the people and goods first.”

After saying that, he raised his thumb and pointed behind him.

“Oh, you’re new here?”

The bald man rolled his eyes and glanced at Joyner for a few times. As if he still didn’t get rid of his inner doubts, he walked to the back of the truck and knocked on the iron fence with a stick. When the refugees were illuminated by the light and heard the knocking sound, they were so frightened that they huddled together in the corner.

“Is this a newly caught animal? Mom, the car still stinks like a cesspit…”

A wave of anger rose to the sky, and the bald man covered his nose with a look of disgust on his face and prepared to walk away. But when he glanced at the refugees for the last time, he saw several large barrels filled with snake meat stacked in the corner, and his eyes suddenly lit up.

“Yeah? What good stuff is in this bucket?”

“Nothing,” Joyner had jumped out of the car and was leaning against the car door. When the bald man asked, she deliberately said in a cryptic way, “Just killed a few people on the road. There is still some meat left.

“Oh! Meat!”

The

boys behind the bald brother couldn’t hold it back and shouted excitedly, “Haha, we’re lucky.” , there’s snake meat to eat!”

“Ha, with such food, can you still eat those black earthworm cakes?”

⑻BOOк. Сom

Joyner looked at them indifferently and said nothing. She knew nothing about every aspect of Hidden Sand Castle, and was planning to take this opportunity to explore the secrets of the so-called powerful class of human settlements.

“Damn it!”

The bald man’s throat twitched and he rubbed his hands. “I eat insect cakes every day. I haven’t eaten meat for half a year. How about you bastards enjoying it? I just happened to meet you today. I have to reward my brothers. Someone here. “Bring me the bucket!”

The bald man stared at the big bucket and just swallowed his saliva. Naturally, he didn’t think about how there could be so many big buckets of snake meat, so he immediately sent someone to the car to move it.

“Wait!”

The bald brother turned around and saw Joyner standing behind her with a calm face as usual, but her head was shaking like a rattle.

“What’s wrong?” The bald brother asked in confusion, “You don’t let the brothers touch those things?”

Joyner looked embarrassed and said, “You can’t take this… Brother Hui said, this thing It’s rare. I have to send it to…”

“Brother Hui?”

The bald man’s expression suddenly changed, he turned around and looked at the younger brothers with strange expressions, and suddenly burst into laughter.

Others also burst out laughing, as if they heard something weird and funny.

“Hahaha——! Listen, what did this newcomer just say?”

“Even if Lai Touhui saw me, he would have to kneel on the ground and call me boss!” The bald man stroked the stubble on his chin, nostrils Looking at Joyner in the sky, her face was full of arrogance.

“A newcomer, who the hell do you think you are? Huh?”

He suddenly revealed a fierce look in his eyes and said fiercely.

“I mean, we can talk…” Joyner’s voice was dry, and it could be heard that it took a lot of courage for her to say these words. “Although it’s just a bit of snake meat, but you just take it away so casually, that’s not okay…”

“Talk about it?”

Joyner stood there, seemingly turning into air, not making the bald man’s expression change at all. .

But the next sentence caused some subtle changes in the air.

“I mean, these are all things that are dedicated to the above.” Joyner’s voice was low, like a whisper. His eyes were looking at the stars in the Hidden Sand Castle in the distance, his expression blank and calm, as if he was waiting for the other party’s reaction.

This is her little trick.

“Huh?”

The bald brother’s expression froze after hearing this, and he seemed to be a little touched by the words in his heart.

“Boss, this guy is so disrespectful! Let me train this rookie for you!”

A tall man behind him squeezed over. Apparently he didn’t hear what Joyner was saying and kept shouting. He was about to rush towards her with a hatchet in his hand.

But halfway, he was suddenly stopped by an outstretched arm.

The bald head asked, “Hey! What did you just say? Tell me again.”

“I said, this is a rare ingredient, and it is prepared to be served… above.” Joyner glanced sideways, her expression even more serious. Hesitating, the words sounded like a whisper.

“Above? Who are you talking about…?”
